Unlocked Tour in Colombia-browser won't show up

Hello, I've got an unlocked Verizon Tour that I'm trying to use in Colombia.  I can currently make/receive calls and send and receive texts but I can't find my dad gum browser. 
Phone info:
Tour 9630
v4.7.1.61(Platform 4.1.0.81)
Carrier:  Comcel
I had the phone wiped entirely clean yesterday because my phone was acting weird and wouldn't make calls(although it would receive them).  Anyway, that fixed the problem there. 
Then I signed up for the data plan for a day to try it out, it immediately said I was connected, and still does when I check.  I just simply don't have any way to access the internet and the only option I have when I want to set up email is using the blackberry email. 
When I go to "manage connections" it tells me I'm connected to Comcel and that my mobile data is "on".  It does however say I'm not connected to Blackberry Internet Server or the Blackberry Enterprise server.  I think these are different than regular internet though. 
Things I've tried:
Hard Reset
Pulling the battery for 30 seconds while the phone was on
Going to options>advanced options>host routing table>and clicking register now
Tried toggling between network selection mode A and B(I have no idea what that is, but thought it might do something)

You said you signed up for the data plan for a day.  What data plan?  A generic data plan will not allow you to use the BlackBerry features, such as browser, push email, facebook, etc. on your BlackBerry.
Make sure you have a specific BlackBerry data plan from your carrier.  The other functions you described will still work without a BB data plan, but you want to use your BB features as well.

    Hello, ever since the upgrade to Studio the Media browser will not see 4 and a half categories of Textures. Noise thru Urban won't show in Media browser menu? Tried moving the files and used LiveType preferences but that didn't work either. They are on my Primary drive so that isn't the problem. All the rest of them work fine. They are in the exact same place as the working files. Anybody have an answer? Thank you. Daniel

    See the reply under Where are the Effects? I copied the files from my laptop and installed them on my G5. Now it all works! How simple is that? They should have installed from the discs however, but they don't. Hope this helps.

  • Desktop.browse() won't show URI fragments on Windows

    Hi. I'd like to use the Desktop API in my application when the user clicks on various 'help' buttons. My reference manual for the application is one large HTML file, and so if the user clicks on a 'help' button when he's in the 'configuration' menu, for example, I want to be able to do something like this:
      desktop.browse (java.net.URI.create ("file:/c:/html/help.html#configuration"))... so his browser will go straight to the 'configuration' part of the HTML file, as per the "#configuration" fragment part of the URI.
    Unfortunately I can't get Internet Explorer to work with URL fragments. If I use the above bit of code Explorer will start properly and display the html file ... but remain at the very top of the file.
    Yet the code works fine under Linux (KDE runs up Konqueror and goes straight to the tagged 'configuration' section).
    There are no errors, no exceptions thrown, and Internet Explorer does properly run and display the HTML file ... it simply stays at the very top of the file.
    I also note that, in the address box (I'm probably using the wrong name for it - the text area where one can manually type in a URL in a browser) only the part of the URL without the fragment is listed ... even though the program calls desktop.browse() with the full URI including the "#configuration" fragment tail. It's as if something is stopping Explorer from 'noticing' or registering the fragment part of the URI.
    Can anyone help?

    I tried using URLs with the "Run" prompt in Windows XP SP2 with Firefox and Internet Explorer 7 and they work just fine if launched in the format:

    Note, I also tried using a "%23" in place of the "#" as a potential work-around, but it doesn't seem to work.

    According to your description ,we seem to suffer a performance issue here.
    Have you tried to open the task manager to check the system performance  ? Is there any specific process occupied many system resources ?Will the issue occur only with the specific applications ?
    We can try to restart the Windows Explorer process to have a check.
    If it only occurred with the spefcific two applications ,we can try to end the other application processes manually from the task manager to have a check .
    If this is caused by the specific application ,we may need to look for help from the third party support considering they are all the third party applications .

  • Itunes browser window won't show on mac

    Since yesterday the jukebox browser window in itunes for mac won't open or show. I had version 8.01 installed. The mini browser window does show. I've tried deleting and reinstalling itunes but it still won't show. I've also tried altering preferences. this is in the administrator account, and I can still get itunes to work OK in other accounts. It seems that itunes is working otherwise, but as a result I can't access the itunes store or choose music. I'm concerned that I can't synch my ipod and iphone properly as I can't see what might be happening.

    I'm an Apple Authorized Service Provider and just had a customer with the same issue (which is how I found this post). After much troubleshooting including deleting preferences and creating test user accounts, the problem was as simple as can be. The iTunes window was open the whole time, but was dragged all the way to the lower right hand corner of the display and out of sight. Select Window->Minimize and you should see the Browser window move from whereever it's hiding into the dock. Then click on the window in the dock and you'll see it move back to it's hiding spot. Just drag it to the center of the screen and you're done!

    I am trying to get my submenu to show up on my website's spry menu bar. It will show up when I test the site using firefox or IE but it won't show when I try LiveView in Dreamweaver or when I test using Safari. The site is www.fuseut.com/fuse

    Don't use reserved words in JS

    event is such a reserved word. If you change this to event1 then all is well.

  • IPhoto suddenly won't show windows anymore, help, anyone?

    Since I've been using Lion I expierence all kinds of problems. I regret updating ever since.
    For example, my internet connection keep turning of every couple of minutes (while all other divices at home stay connected). My solution is to turn my wifi off, wait a while and than turn it on again. It's really poor when one uses the best iMac there is. But I guess that's Lion. I got used to it.
    But my question:
    iPhoto suddenly stopped working (at first it did work!). It does start, but it won't show any windows.
    I've deleted the cache, restarted my iMac, no result.
    It all began when I plugged in my iPhone.
    Now I'm no longer able to backup my photo's anymore.
    Can anyone help?
    I've also tried cicking the icon while pressing alt and cmd, for more options, but it doesn't work...
    Hopefully one of you know the solution!

    Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
    (On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
    (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    What's the plist file?
    For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

  • Photos won't show in Finder

    I have a late 2013 13" MacBook Pro Retina using Yosemite.
    In Finder, under pictures, my iPhoto library won't show pictures. It says there's 12GB of photos, but it won't show the photos. When I click on the iPhoto Library, it will open the iPhoto app and the photos will show, but again, it won't show pictures in Finder. I use to be able to see my photos in Finder.
    It all started when I went to System Preferences and started clicking things under the Sharing tab.
    After this, I noticed I wasn't able to see my photos in Finder. I followed another thread that said to: press control and click on iPhoto library, then click on Show Package Contents, then click on Original folder; however, when I did went through this process, I didn't have a folder that said Original, so I don't know what to do. Please Help me!!

    What Finder window? Are these images in iPhoto?
    There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:   You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.

    There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.  If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
    If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
    If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
    For users of 10.6 and later:  You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation  which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
    Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
    For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    Show File:  a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier:  Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.    3.b.
    b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Images won't show up when I try to upload online

    Hi
    I need help to figure out why my photos won't show up when I try to upload them online (e.g. Facebook, Pinterest, Google+). All of my photos are in iPhoto and it used to work fine until I updated to ver 9.3 a coupe of days ago. When I open iPhoto, it shows all the images but when I try to upload something, I couldn't find my photos so I end up copying them to my desktop first which is very inconvenient, especially if I am uploading severa photos. It works alright when I attach photos in Outlook though, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong here. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks a lot!
    PS I did some screen shots if that would help explain things better. By the way, my OS version is 10.7.4, if that is relevant at all?

    If you see an ICCID unknown in Settings>General>About, that indicates a catastrophic failure. Very often this is caused by hacking or jailbreaking the phone. It can not be fixed. The phone will have to be replaced.

  • "Mail" won't show my Yahoo mails...

    Hello,
    I'm using three boxes, all Yahoo. Had a minor problem with one of them and the Yahoo people told me they had switched the account to another server to solve the problem (which was actually solved).
    But since then, "Mail" won't show the incoming mail. The activity indicator shows "x" mails having been collected but they don't show either on he screen or next to the account name...
    One exception: as I tried to cancel then re-create the faulty account, it does collect messages the first time it opens...but then afterwards nothing shows although mails are showed to have been collected.
    The other two boxes I use with Yahoo are collected without any problem.
    Yahoo can't or won't help...
    Anybody with an idea ??? Could the problem be linked with changing the server ? But then how is it hat mails are shown to have been collected by he activity counter even if they don't appear on he screen or next to he account name ?

    no one knew why i couldn't get my messages from the pop server at att/yahoo into my mail on my mac. there were no answered questions to the support topic why can i see mail activity....messages on the server, but not coming into the mail box? sending is fine, but for some reason, it suddenly stopped 3 days ago and for 3 days i searched for a fix. the only way i found this was a mail access error on the web mail thru att.yahoo where my messages showed up (they were also showing up on the i phone, not the mac)...had to verify the email....and while waiting, i found the att yahoo help page that cleared the whole problem
    not removing files and putting them back in while opening and shutting mac....all the ports and ssls were checked and correct

    I updated iTunes on my laptop to 11.1.4 and now my iPhone 4S won't show up in iTunes.  I have WIndows 8.  My iPhone shows up there, just not in iTUnes as a device.

    It appears that the 64bit install messed up the device drivers for the Apple mobilie devices connecting as USB.
    I tried many things, I may have missed a step below.  But the following is what I believe was the fix - since it worked on a 2nd PC.
    Make sure you are using an administrator account.  Any of them on your machine will do for the following
    a) Get Windows to restart the drivers:
        - disconnect your USB device and close ITunes
        - connect your USB device
        - if ITunes loads, close it.
    b) File explorer:
    Open File explorer and browse to
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
    In that folder there should be a set of files named "usbaapl64...."
    right click on the one ending in "INF"
    Select Install.  It's very quick.
    remove the USB device
    c) Restart the computer.
    When you login again, load ITunes before you attach your USB device.

  • Unable to connect and the browser won't open

    Hi My brother and I switched our phone for a while but when I got my phone back, the Browser won't open anymore. I tried to connect through other browser (Opera mini and UC browser) but its still the same. What am I gonna do? My father will not gonna buy me another phone if I my previous phone (Blackberry 8520), which is given by him also, have problems already. Please. I really need your expertise on this.     With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
    KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
    KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
    If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
    KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
    With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
    See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you may have to WIPE your device and start over. To prepare, you'll want to have a full backup...refer to the link in my autosig for instructions.

  • Preloader in Captivate won't show up in Firefox (It does in IE7)

    I got a problem using the preloader in Captivate.
    I exported the file with a preloader (one of the Captivate preloader not one of my own). The preloader is set to 40% (but same happens using 20% and 100%)
    If i have a look at the file in Internet Explorer the preloader shows shortly, then the eLearning starts. Fine.
    In Mozilla Firefox (Version 3.5.1) the Preloader won't show up, problem is: In Firefox the eLearning needs a bit more time to load, so here it would be necessary to show the preloader. I just see the empty screen and then after some seconds the eeLearning starts.
    I haven't found any information about this. Flashplugin is the same in both browser. (Latest 10.0.22.87)
    OPERA behaves exactly like Mozilla FIrefox, no preloader is shown, longer loading times
    Has anybody a solution for this?
    Where is Captivate storing the Information about the preloader (Percentage, File of preloader) I can't find anything in the html file.

    Hi Captiware,
    I have similar problems. However, to confuse matters, it is just the other way round: My preloader works in Firefox 3 but not in IE 6!
    This problem appeared only after upgrade to Captivate 4. Unfortunately not solution/explanation yet.
