i want to unlock my cdma i phone my carrier is cricket communication and model is i phone 4s. currently i am using through turbo sim.
please help me how to do factory unlock.
Only your current carrier can unlock your phone for use on another carrier, assuming that they are willing to do so (some won't). You will have to contact them - Apple cannot do it.

ThanksWhat makes you think it's unlocked? The listing states it's for Verizon Wireless, meaning this is a CDMA phone. It doesn't use a SIM card.

trying to active my old iPhone 3gs. it showing that activation server is temporary unavailable and on the iTunes showing that there is no sim card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate. I unlocked my phone then i upgrade it, after that this happen. i tried with other sim same message come again and again.if any body know solution let me know. thanks
Was the SIM card activated on another phone? I assume this is an ATT style trying to use on T-Mobile? Was the SIM installed correctly? Is the carrier (like T-Mobile) operating IOS 6 devices yet?
If the SIM is a valid SIM from say T-Mobile, you may want to contact them for assistance activating the SIM card.
Activation and SIM issues typically point to the carrier. And if this was a CDMA phone say working with verizon, it will NOT work for ATT or T-Mobile as they use different electronics on the 3GS. The SIM slot is for international use only. -

NO. Sprint are the only ones who can unlock the phone for you and there is no other way to do it accept through Sprint.
Contact Sprint to get the phone unlocked.
Sprint is a cdma phone anyway, which is why you cannot get it unlocked unless you are in the US. The Sprint phone should have an unlocked sim card slot for use whilst travelling with gsm networks anyway, if it is like the Verizon cdma phone? Check this and see. If not, then your only option is to get Sprint to unlock the phone in the US or buy a new gsm phone where you are now that you can use. -
help.... i've faced this problem since the windows phone 8.1 updates.... sometimes my screen freeze after unlock my phone . sometimes after open an app the touch screen not respond to my touch... i tried all the ways like turning off wifi etc and still

You hit it right on the head, just because they do not lock down bootloaders still does not change that rooting and installing unarthorized firmware or OS violates TOS and voids warrenty which cleans Verizons hands to replace device if it gets damage while doing any of these things to device. -
I have been given permission for unlocking my iphone 3 GS from Orange. I want to set up the phone for my wife to use with a new number and carrier. Do I unlock under my itunes account first ( I now have a new iphone on this account) or set one up for her and then unlock the phone. I am worried about upsetting the new phone.
I would complete unlocking as is and then
restore as new once you know the iPhone is unlocked
Be aware Orange will process the request at their speed

Apple, as I'm sure you know, now manage official phone 'unlocks' directly rather than the Newtork doing so.
When a GSM Network Provider buys a consignment of iPhone's they are locked to that carrier and may only be officially unlocked if said carrier requests it. If so, it is Apple who do this, via iTunes.
I am therefore inclined to think that part of the any generic iTunes syncing process involves the transmission of key hardware data, including IMEI, to Apple whenever the handset is synced.
If this is the case and, as each iTunes account is linked to a credit card, were Apple to maintain a database of genuinely stolen phones (ones reported to Police) they could advise said Police force when a stolen phone stuck its metaphorical head over the parapets once again? They would be able to identify the name & address of the new user.
I have spoken to the Police here in Ireland today and they regularly engage with Apple on such matters.
This may not be tracking as we know it Jim, (not using GSM Triangulation or GPS) but it's arguably even more targetted and leaves an indelible fingerprint of guilt on the thief.
The laws here are simple in this regard, if you are in possession of stolen property, knowlingly or otherwise, you forfeit the goods once the Police show up. Whether you get prosecuted depends on whether you stole the goods or were duped into purchasing them. -

A few months back I Dropped my iPhone 4 and I cracked my screen and now i cant unlock my phone due to touch screen not working plus there are blurred lines across the screen and I can't see anything that it displays.
Now when I try too connect my iPhone 4 to iTunes on my computer at home an error message comes up saying that I have to unlock my iPhone 4 for it to communicate to my device.
But the problem is that I can't unlock my iPhone 4 because I'm unable to see the key pad and my touch screen no longer responds when I touch it.
I just want to reset my iPhone 4 back to its Factory Settings & start all over from the beginning.
How can I unlock my iPhone 4 with iTunes on my computer or any other option you suggest me trying.

If Verizon return it to Apple it wil not be handled by Apple
If Verizon also use unauthorised repairers you may be lucky

When my iPhone 4S (with ios7) experiences a failed call while connected to my Bluetooth hands free in my car(screen locked) the failed call appears on the locked screen, as it should, the problem arises whenever I unlock the phone, it automatically redials the last failed call, it doesn't do this with missed calls that are on the locked screen, if any. It is really annoying as sometimes the phone doesn't respond to attempts to end the call before it connects to the number. I then have to explain that it was my phone and not me, I look like an idiot, which I don't really need any extra help with!! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to stop missed call from showing in the locked screen but it might be associated with the failed calls and therefore be the only resolution
I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.

Is there anyway I can manually unlock this phone to allow my O2 sim card to be used? It is a sim for iphones as mine got stolen and I got a replacement sim. Ideally I would like to do this myself without having to take the phone to an independant shop who will charge me silly prices. My brother in law has contacted Orange and they tell him that he has to speak to Carphone Warehouse from where he bought the phone... yet they are saying that they do not unlock phones and there is info on apple website on instructions on how to unlock it yourself?
Can anyone shed any light on this?Only the carrier to which it is locked can unlock it if they offer that service. Apple does not unlock phones. Sorry
