Unmapped field keeps mapping

Hi All
MDM 5.5
I accidentally mapped a field to an incorrect destination value and saved the map, but now I have to go in and manually unmap that field and remap it to the correct destination value every time. I have tried save, save as, update and each time I open the map again, that field value is still mapped incorrectly.. any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Kindly refer following points
1. Map is corrupted require to rebuild new map from scratch
OR
2. in MDM Import Manager --> Configuration Option Automap fields when loading map = "Yes/No" it should be NO
Thanks,

  • UnMapping Fields which are sent from XI

    Hi ,
    Scenario : I am doing an auto import of data . I receive an XSD from and an XML which has 40 fields and in the MDM system i have only 30 fields to map . Is this possible.If i do not map my source to any destination will it throw a structural exception ???
    Regards,
    Vignesh

    Hi Vignesh,
    This wont be a issue at all.
    It is good to keep some fields extra fields in xsd as at some point in future there can be a requirement to import those field values in MDM,when that heppens you simply have to map those required and save the map.

  • How to Raise Alerts from the fields of Mapping?

    HI,
    We had a very typical requirement for our client.
    Scenarios is IDOC to multiple files else consider a simple file to file scenario.
    Source structure contains some 5 fields and the target also remains the same 5 fields.
    Assume SERNO presents in both structures.
    The issue here is i need to check for a Target SERNO field  should accept only numerical value, there is a possibilty of coming alphanumeric and sometimes with specialcharacter appended  numeric. i have developed a udf which allows only numeric.
    The mapping is getting failed if alphanumeric or special character exists in that field.
    But, the client requires an alert mentioning that this mapping is failed due to the problem in Source SERNO field so that he can easily debug and resubmit those idocs.
    I want to know is it possible to raise alerts at field levels.
    Thanks,
    --Kishore

    Hi Raja,
    This is a new development and we dont hve any Alert framework right now exist, i believe even the alert category its not possibel to drill down to the field level.
    if its possible could you please elaborate.
    We have many fileds to check as similarly defined above example SERNO, so if the alerts are triggered @ filed level that are failed that will be a great..
    My Ultimate requirement is to notify client that due to this field the mapping was occured and alert should throw some light on to locate the error at the field level.
    Please suggest how to procced..
    Thanks,

    HI,
    U can disable the control record segment and in the IDOC adapter use the option apply control record from payload.
    If you have set the Apply Control Record Values from Payload indicator in the receiver IDoc adapter, the following fields are filled from the IDoc-XML payload:
    ·        MESCOD
    ·        MESCFT
    ·        TEST
    ·        EXPRSS
    ·        STD

  • Number field type mapped as String

    Oracle Number field is mapped as CSTRING when using CRECORDSET class in VC++.
    Any ideas why? or what I should do?

    How big is the number column defined? ANything larger than a NUMBER(14) will map to a character string since there isn't a datatype large enough to hold say a NUMBER(30).
    Here is the mapping as I rememeber it (it is old information and may not be quite up to date with the latest drivers):
    if Scale = 0 then if Precision <= 4 then
    Number Size: Integer
    if Precision <= 9 then Number Size: Long
    Integer
    if Precision <= 15 then Number Size: Double
    if Scale > 0 then if Precision <= 15 then
    Number Size: Double
    Any other field types mapped to Text (Field
    Size = 255).

  • Posting rule to be specified in target field of mapping area/Mapping prefix in Search string use?

    Posting rule change using search string configuration
    Hello Friends - I have defined Search string and specified Posting rule in target field of mapping area and set up done on Search search use tab.
    When I imported the Statement, based on text found on statement, Posting rule specified in Search string is determined.
    I see Search strings already maintained in my system that Posting rule is maintained in Search string use tab - Mapping prefix.
    My doubt is that if Posting rule can be maintained in any of the below:
    Either at Posting rule to be specified in target field of mapping area or Mapping prefix in Search string use?
    Thanks

    Hello Kalim - Thanks. I have already configured Search string the way you suggested me last time and imported the statement during testing. It is working fine.
    Can you pls tell me in which scenario "mapping prefix field" should be maintained. Now, I will try to understand this from F1 help.
    For Search Strings already defined in our System long ago that Posting rule is not specified in Target field in mapping field, but maintained Mapping prefix.
    Thanks,

  • Changing value of a field in mapping as per condition

    Hi Experts,
    I have one requirement in IDoc mapping to EDI structure.
    I want to change the value of a field depending on the condition. But the problem is the field is mapped at higher level than the condition.
    For example:
    Say i have a source structure in IDoc with name Source1 and target structure Target1. Source1 is mapped to Target1. Both of these structures have multiple occurances. So in general out structure will look something like below:
    Source1-> Target1
    Source2->Target2
    Source3->Target3
    Now i want to change value of one field from Target1 structure depending on Value of one field from Source3. At the runtime when Target1 structure is getting filled Source3 value is not visible so I am not able to set a proper condition.
    When at lower level we get value of Source3 can we change value of already filled structure Target1?
    Thanks,
    Atul

    Hi Aamir,
    Thanks for your reply.
    If possible can you give any sample code for this kind of UDF?

    iPhone contacts, Country field, keeps Syncmyride  Navigation from  giving directions.  Is there a way to leave Country field blank?  Thanks for any help.  Jww

    Syncmyride. That's what's having the problem. If it were handing the data properly, it wouldn't be a problem. You should not have to remove data from your contacts in order for an app that is accessing the contact data to work correctly. This is a bug in syncmyride. It has nothing to do with iCloud or anything else that Apple controls.

  • Password Field not mapped between Request and Provisioning Form

    Hi to all. I'm working with OIM 11g. I've faced a strange issue. I'm not sure I'm working properly, so let me explain you my case. In my installation I've got the SSH connector, which is correctly connected with the physical resources. I've loaded the resource dataset ProvisionResourceSSH User bundled with the connector. Consider now that the user "goofy", with "ALL USERS" role, tries to make a request Provision Resource SSH User (Request Based provisioning). He fills in all the field in the appropriate manner, but when OIM triggers "Create User" provisioning task, after the required approval process, the password field is always blank (although goofy filled it in!!!).
    I've thought: "ok, it seems a role trouble". And effectively, if goofy has got also the role "REQUEST ADMINISTRATORS", the provisioning form shows the password field correctly valued (as goofy stated in his request).
    Note that all the fields are correctly mapped between request dataset and the provisioning form (I'm using the original dataset and the original provisioning form installed by the connector). So all other fields filled by goofy on the request form (request based provisioning) are correctly passed to the provisioning form. All the fields, except for the password.
    Am I wrong in something? How Could I make possible to pass the data filled on the request for the password field to the provisioning form even if the requester has not the role "REQUEST ADMINISTRATORS"?
    Thank you in advance for the help.

    This sure seems goofy! ;-) ... can you try making the ALL Users have all the permissions on the Resource Object and the Process Form and test it out? Also try from the backend at the database and see if the table has NULL for the password field? ... What's the type of password field in the dataset and the process form? Encrypted/Secret at both ends or mis match? Try making them plain text both the places as well.

  • How to pass table in RFC and use that table to populate fields in Mapping?

    Hi,
    I have a requirement FIle to CSV, the file consists of thousand lines...
    What I did first is to put RFC look up per line. It is taking too long to process the message.
    One work around that I could think of is to pass all the values to a table then pass the table to RFC then RFC returns another table, so only one RFC call is required.
    How am I going to use the table returned by the RFC? Please advise how to achieve this scenario.

    Hi,
    I use an ABAP RFC function, which has a parameter that contains many rows.
    In ABAP, I create a two types. First is a ROW - contains some fields, for example, param1, param2, etc.
    Second is a TABLE - contains multiple count of ROW.
    Then I create a Remotecallable Function that has this TABLE-type as parameter (you can make this parameter as INPUT and OUTPUT). So in my mapping program after import RFC Function, I see a message looks like this:
    MY_TABLE_PARAM (Occurences: 1)
    item (Occureces: 0..unbounded)
    param1 (Occureces: 1)
    param2 (Occureces: 1)
    etc (Occureces: 1)
    Regards.

  • Sorting a field in mapping based on another

    Hi,
    I have a strucutre like the following...
    SOURCE
    <node>
        <aa>B_test</aa>
        <bb>iu</bb>
        <cc></cc>
    </node>
    <node>
        <aa>A_test2</aa>
        <bb>NO</bb>
        <cc>resource</cc>
    </node>
    <node>
        <aa>C_test3</aa>
        <bb>No</bb>
        <cc>resource</cc>
    </node>
    after mapping, my message is like this......
    TARGET
    <node>
        <aa>A_test2</aa>
        <bb>NO</bb>
      *bold*   <cc>NIMOY</cc>
    </node>
    <node>
        <aa>B_test</aa>
        <bb>iu</bb>
        *bold* <cc>resource</cc>
    </node>
    <node>
        <aa>C_test3</aa>
        <bb>No</bb>
        <cc>resource</cc>
    </node>
    but it should be like this
    <node>
        <aa>A_test2</aa>
        <bb>NO</bb>
    *bold*     <cc>resource</cc>
    </node>
    <node>
        <aa>B_test</aa>
        <bb>iu</bb>
    *bold*     <cc>NIMOY</cc>
    </node>
    <node>
        <aa>C_test3</aa>
        <bb>No</bb>
        <cc>resource</cc>
    </node>
    I have to check <bb> for the value "iu". This is no problem. If it contains "iu" then map the constant NIMOY to <cc>. Then sort the <node> element in ascending order based on <aa>. The problem is that I cannot get <cc> to sort. It just stays in the same order. I've been trying to use combinations of SortByKey and FormatByExample.  The fields <aa> and <bb> will sort but not <cc>.Any ideas??

  • Map Filename to field within mapping

    I have a requirement to map the filename to a field in the header of a file to file scenario and then create a new filename based upon the fields of the data structure of the header record.
    I am comfortable using the variable substituion to either map the filename from sender to reciever and to use dynamic file names to create the new file name, but I am unsure how i can the read filename from the Adapter Specific Message Attributes and pass this value to a field on the outbound structure of the mapping.
    Can anyone give me some pointers on how i can map the sending "Filename" to the outbound field within PI7.1 SP6?

    Is it any different from PI 7.0?

    In your UDF, just use .get() (no need for .put() ).

  • Filter data based on the value of sorce field in mapping

    Hi,
    I have a scenario (IDOC to file) where i have to move data to target file,  only when one of the source fields has particuler value. Otherwise skip the record, no need to write into output file.
    Please let me know how to handle it in mapping, without BPM.

    Karthik,
    Ofcourse there is no need of BPM, You can use the IF without Else function in your mapping with using Equals function.
    Example:
    Field1 ---> Equals (Particualr Value) -
    > IF -
    > Then -
    > pass it to Target field.
    Since there is no Else option, therefore whenever condition will fail, nothing will be passed to the target field.
    Regards,
    Sarvesh
