Unneeded ccrollbars in Generic integration iview

Hey Guys,
I try to integrate a web application in our portal which requires the logon user as an url parameter in the query string. Therefore, I use the Generic application integration iview (com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.Generic). Everything works, except that there are unneeded scrollbars, when the application starts in a separate window without portal header. Iu2019 ve tried the same with a normal URL view and it works fine, but here Iu2019m able to pass the logon id, only name, email, e.g.
I passed the following parameter in the generic iview without any success:
toolbar=0,location=0,directories=0,status=0,menubar=0,scrollbars=0,resizable=1,left=0,top=0,width=1017,height=710,personalbar=0
Do you have any idea how to solve it?

2 generic table iviews in 1 page in 7.0

Im working on a mss-solution in 7.0, where I need to have 2 or more generic table iveiws in one page, working together with the generic employee seach iview. But I cant get it to work. As soon as I put 2 different table iveiws on the same page, the content in the 2 tables is identical, dispite they are reporting 2 different queries.
If I do the same in 5.0 or 6.0, it works perfectly.
Has anyone experienced the same and found a solution?

It is possible to have a page with two generic table iviews displaying different content!. The issue of the two
generic table iViews showing up with the same content on your installation might be caused by creating the iViews based on the SAME FPM-view assigned to the corresponding FPM-application.
Let me give you a brief step-by-step description of how to create a page containing two generic table iviews displaying different content based on the Generic iView Testpage:
1. Go to Self-Service Administrator and open the FPM-Application belonging to 'Test Generic iView'. Path is 'Portal Content -> Content provided by SAP -> srvconfig -> com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.mss -> Generic iView'. Open the corresponding FPM application
Select step 'Define Perspectives'
2. Select the 'Generic iView table' FPM view from 'Generic iView'-> FPM Views and choose 'Add FPM view to perspective'
    via right mouse-click menu.
3. Enter an ID for the view within the perspective and maintain the properties accordingly (i.e. enter an appropriate query)
4. Save the FPM Application..
5. Go to Content Administration.
6. expand 'Portal Content -> Content provided by SAP' -> line_manager -> iViews
Choose 'New iView' from right mouse menu.
7. Choose 'Web Dynpro Java application' and press 'Next'
8. Choose 'Create one iView from each application view' and press 'Next'
9. Choose your 'Generic iView Table' under msseeprogenericiview -> com.sap.xss.hr.eeprofile.genericiview.TestGenericIview
-> TestGenericIview and press 'Next'
10. Fill in iView Name and ID and press 'Next'
11. Deselect 'Open page wizard to create WebDynpro page' and press 'Next
12. Press 'Finish'.
13. Choose 'Close wizard' and press 'Ok'.
14. Open the 'Generic iView Test' page under 'Pages -> HCM'
15. Select the new iView create as described above and choose 'Add iView to page' -> 'Delta Link' via right mouse menu
16. Adjust Page Layout if necessary.
17. Save the 'Generic iView Test' page
Follow the above guide to add a second Generic Table iView to your Test Page. The page should show up then with two list and two table iViews and a TeamViewer. After selecting an employee in the TeamViewer the two generic table iViews should show up with different content.

Using generic master Iviews - How change title on the preview??

Hi All,
We're using r/3 4.7, mss 60.1.20. I'm using the generic master iviews to create specidic java iviews. I'm using a sap query and the generic jsp's provided.
One of the examples provided is 'Communication'. So i copied it and put in my own sap query name. I put in a title in the Tile field but the title when i preview it is sitll 'Communication'. Does anyone know why this is or how i can change it?
Also is there a way of creating fresh iveiw based on master iviews? there doesn't appear to be an option for it in the iview template..

Thanks Linda. I understand that about the default settings. I was wanting to see different optimization speeds based on different internet connection speeds, not just 56kps. I was hoping there would be an option to select different download speeds so you can see how quickly a file would download based on 56kps verse a DSL line. I don't appreciate this restriction as most people are using high speed internet connections.

BusinessObjects Portal Integration - iView Template Missing

I have installed my BusinessObjects for Portal as follows:
1. We already have BI 7.0 on SQL 2005 on BIDEMOSER SERVER.
2. Installed BusinessObjects Enterprise 3.1 , Crystal Reports 2008, SAP GUI 7.1 and SAP Integration Kit on this new server name : BODEMOSER.
3. We already have EP 7.0 on Oracle 10.2 on EPDEMOSER SERVER.
I have installed the BOE 3.1 and Integrated with the BI Server and imported the roles and all the functions are working fine between BO and BI.For Portal Integration i have transferred the masterview file from BODEMO SERVER com.businessobjects.pct.masteriview.par to the EPDEMOSER SERVER.
And it was uploaded in the EPDEMOSER SERVER System Administration--> Support --> uploaded successfully.And I have followed the SSO configuration as per te guide. And values in the Web.xml files are properly as per the guide.
After the uploading the masterview par file i could not able to view the iView template in the System.I have cleaned the cookes and all temp files.
As per the guide I have created an folde name BI_BO and SYstem name as BI_BO_DEMO.Now when I started creating a iView Template by right clicking the System name BI_BO_DEMO and provided the following parameters for each Property Category.

Whether i should install the BO Integration kit in EP portal also or any Portal Inetgration kit is available.

1. Whether Integration kit for SAP should be installed in EP Server also ( which has been installed in BO server for BI and the SSO for BI and EP STRUSTSSO2 also works fine.
- the portal is acting as the frontend for viewing content and yes there needs to be trust between your portal and your BW system
2. the connector parameter and the iview template object parameter as correct as per the distributed enviorment.
When i checked with portal; admin they asked doubt what should be crystal enterprise server ( BO) and the what is the server should connector parameter should have.
- the Crystal Enterprise parameter do not influence the connector properties and do not lead to the point that the connector settings fail. the Crystal Enterprise parameters are only relevant when viewing SAP BusinessObjects related content.
Make sure you connector settings work even without the Crystal Enterprise parameters first.

Integrated Iviews in portal to set in proper way.

Hi Experts,
I integrated URL,webdynpro,Transactional,Bw&BSP iviews into the portal.
Here my question is how to set these iviews in a proper way. i mean i need to give first priority to Transactional iview.then webdynpro,BSP,BW and Url iview.
I heard that there is a sorting option to get this but i didnt get that address.
can anyone suggest me to solve this.

You can use sort priority property to arrange the objects. The sort priority is by default numbers between 0 and 100.
Set the least number to the iview/Workset/Role if you want display them first.
Make sure that you are setting sort priority to the corresponding level to arrange them example:
For example, if you have two roles Role1 and Role2 and each of them havingTwo worksets WS1 and WS2 then, Least sort priority should set to Role2 if you want to display Role2 first over Role1.
If you want to display WS2 first over WS1 then the least sory priority should set to WS2 .

Problem In App Integrator Iview

Hi All,
I am connecting to a site using app integrator. I am able to login successfully and see the home page. But when i am clicking on any of the link, the link is not working and i am getting an error on the page message on the status bar. I checked the detail error..it is showing
'undefined' is null or not an object.
Please help me to resolve the problem.

which user administration are using.
Make sure you use UIDPW as Logon method and user,admin as user mapping type

How to remove an unneeded scroll bar from an iView?

Hello,
I have an iView which presenta KM content.
The iView is presented with two annoying scrollbars which doesn't contribute to anything since there is really not much to scroll.
I would like to cancel these scroll bars.
I tried playing with the iView appearance parameters (Fixed/Automatic) and with the height parameter yet it didn't help.
I also tried to see if this option can be mofified at the Layout Set this iView is based on yet I couldn't find such.
Any suggestions...?

Can you tell me what is the "Isolation Mode" property of your iview set to.
Is it Embedded or URL. If it is URL try setting it to Embedded and let me know.

How to Detect System Availability from WD Application Integrator iView

Hey All -
I've created an WD ABAP iView using the wizard (SAP Web Dynpro iView template) to connect to SAP's SNC bolt-on module (Supplier Network Collaboration). The application is written in ABAP WD and I can connect to it rendering the application just fine by supplying the correct namespace and application name.
When I simulate SNC not being available for some reason (down), I do not get any kind of message - Just a blank iView. My user community would like a custom error message telling them that the "system is unavailable."
How do I accomplish this ?? In a nutshell - when I cannot access the application, how can I control what the user see's in the iView ? Do I need to create a custom template or what would be the best way to handle this. I assume this is a common question, but was unable to locate it.

Hi Christopher,
the WD ABAP iView will only display whatever the underlying system returns. Are you able to send back a message from the SNC system when it's unavailable? If not you would have to create a custom iView that can detect if the system is down and report it to the user. The iView could first check if the system us up and running and if so redirect the user to the application. If not it would display a message. Alternatively, you could have both in a page where the first one raises an event depending on the SNC system status. The WD app would subscribe to that event and react accordingly.

Have a generic integration question

If you a have a non-SAP system (like Oracle forms based application using oracle DB) that is not SOAP/HTTP/JMS capable, how can I have that system push a message out to SAP through XI..Here is what I was thinking
> The system outputs a file, XI file adapter reads the file and posts a message to XI and then gets putshed to SAP
> Have an XI JDBC adapter read a database on that system and send the message to XI.

if the system has some kind of API then normally there would be a possibility to create a message and sent it to XI (push), rather than XI pulls the message from somewhere. But that really depends on the system and cannot be answered in general.
However database polling is not that inefficient, so you might give that a try. i have seen productive scenarios where the database is polled every minute and there were no problems with performance.
For the adapter development: we have done that and got our adapter certified by SAP. We are now developing additional ones. In general we can say adapter development is a complex topic, so it should always be the last resort if there is a very special requirement which can not be fulfilled by any other solution. An adapter developer / development architect would need in depth knowledge of the adapter framework, java xml handling and the backend system with which the adapter needs to communicate. So it is not an easy task...

SSO to Web App using Application Integrator - not working (SP15)

I have created a web app system and generic app integrator iview for my web application (and set up user mapping etc.), following the Application Integrator how-to guide but it does not log me into my web application. I have got the Yahoo example working, and if I use a HTTP System & URL iview for my web application, that also works. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be, or where I should start looking?
If I use a http sniffer, I can see the correct URL and parameters in the following:

Bit of a weird one: I've found a way to make it work but I'm not sure exactly how... the problem was that the portal was opening my web app URL in an iFrame (which can be seen from the code above). I tested this by just creating a html page with the URL + parameters in an iframe, and it wouldn't log me in (and took over the whole browser). So I guess the problem is with my web app rather than the portal.
However... I then discovered that if I add my web app address to the Local Intranet security zone in my browser (IE6) settings (before it was in the Trusted Sites zone), it no longer minded being in an iFrame, my test html page worked and so does the portal iview. I cannot find which security setting is causing this - I've tried changing the Trusted Sites to match the Intranet zone settings exactly, but it still doesn't work if my web app address is Trusted opposed to Intranet.
If anyone has any idea what is causing this behaviour, I'd be very grateful - obviously it isn't a portal issue but I'd still like to find out the cause in case it comes up again in the future.

Lotus integration In Portal

Now my task is to integrate lotus notes into portal.
So I have url = "http://lotnot/customer.nsf"
And I have User = "Alexander Troshanin" and Password = "0123"
When I open page("http://lotnot/customer.nsf") using Intenet Brouser, first I enter User and Password!!! and then begin to work.
And I must create iView so that. When user(Atroshanin) enter into portal he could open this iView.
When he opens this iView - page("http://lotnot/customer.nsf") will be shown without authentication dialog!!!
So I read some docs and forums to this theme, but have some problems.
I understand that first it is necessary to make "System":
I go - System Administration->System Configuration->System Landscape
And here I try to create "System". One of the main things is that I don't know what type of system I must choose at first step.
At this forum, - Yoav said that system Type is not so important. He said that at first, system must have properties I that need.
So I choose first type "Dedicated Application Server for R/3 System".
When this system was created I edit two system propeties:
Logon Method = UIDPW
User Mapping Type = admin,user
And I made one aliase for this system, call it "mySystem".
Thats all I know what to do with System!!!
Then I made "User Mapping":
I go - User Administration->User Mapping
Here I choose User(Atroshanin), choose System(aliase = "mySystem") and entered userName = "Alexander Troshanin" and Password = "0123"
And made mapping.
At this step all is clear and understandable!!!
Then I must create iView.
At this forum, - Yoav said to Choose iView of type Application Integrator
I do it.
Then I set some properties of created iView:
Authentication Scheme = basicauthentication
System = "mySystem"
URL template = "http://lotnot/customer.nsf"
URL template fraction for Single Sign-On (SSO2) = "http://lotnot/customer.nsf"

Thats all I done. May be I must specify some other properties(in system/iView)???
But it is still not works.
Now I know that for "http://lotnot/customer.nsf" there is basic Authentication!!!

First you must create System:
in portal go: System Administration -> System Configuration -> System LandScape
here in wizard create New Ssytem.
Choose any system type you want(at first step of system creation), but when it will be created it must have Property Category - "User Management"
When system is created, open it and Choose Property Category User Management
Change Logon Method = UIDPW, User Mapping Type = admin, user
Then you must create System Aliase: right click on your system - Open -> System Aliases
Enter new Alias name and press Add;
Second you must make user mapping:
User Administration -> User Mapping
Select user
Select System(you will select alias, you specify before)
Enter User Name and Password for lotus System.
Press Save
At this step(when pressing save button) you could have problems. If they will be do such a thing:
In your portal go to 'System Administration' -> 'System Configuration' -> 'UM Configuration' -> 'Direct Editing'.
There locate the parameter 'ume.usermapping.unsecure', set it to 'TRUE' and restart your server.
And now last step:
go Content Administration -> Portal Content
Right Click on any Folder - New From Par -> iView
choose type = com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap
choose Portal Component = Generic
specify iView name, id, id prefix
In tree choose your iView and edit attributes:
System, - enter system alias name you created before
URL template fraction for user mapping = <MappedUser>:<MappedPassword>@
URL template = http://<Authentication><your lotus base>
for example URL template can be:
http://<Authentication>lotnot/customer.nsf
thats all I have done to integrate lotus into portal!

Open iView without address or tool bar in new window

Hello dear experts,
Today I got a specific problem where I kindly ask for your ideas / support !
Our Portal is 7.0 and SP19.
I got the following scenario:
1) Imagine you got several standard (URL or Application Integartion) iViews, each pointing at different URLs.
2) As you know there does exist the SAP Portal standard functionality for iViews to open them at a new window via the iView tray (context menu)
3) So if you put the iView into a portal page and let this page being displayed at the portal content area, you can access the option u201COpen in New Windowu201D at the tray.
4) Now I want to modify the function u201COpen in New Windowu201D in that way, that the new window is shown without the address bar and tool bar at all.
5) In common this can easily be made with the Javascript command:
javascript:window.open('http://this.iview.url', '_blank','resizable=yes, scrollbar=yes,
top=100, left=100, height=700,width=700, status=no, menubar=no, toolbar=no, location=no')
6) But to use this Javascript command I will need the specific URL u2013 or at least the STRING variable of it - of the iView which is embedded at the portal page at runtime (Something like this http://this.iview.url )
7) I made already some research and found the Layout-Tag Library

11) And that is the point I am struggling at the moment. How do I get the link of the current iview is pointing to
e.g. http://this.iview.url
either as link or STRING variable.

Let me explain a little mor in details:
The Scenario:
1) A got the Portal and i got a dedicated web server which is providing different web reports. These web reports are created by another department and they will provide us just the URL link to the reports.
2) Okay so i am integrating these reports via a generic applicqation integration iview, of course i could use also a standard URL ivew. But this would not be so smooth, because of the transport (the web report server has also a three stage landscape)
3) Now i want to give the users the feature "to hit once" at the iview tray just one button / link and the iview will open in a new window
Okay so far everything is complete SAP portal standard.BUT now here is the clue
The Problem:
4) For security reasons the "new window" should appear showing the iview, but without browers tool bar and address bar.
To do this i wil need the URL which i can hand over to the javascript command. But i want the the URL will be generated automatically, because of course there will be created mor and more iviews time after time.
The Solution:?
Any guess how to solve this "feature" ?

HELP - AppIntegrator iView SSO to non-SAP J2EE

I've created some basic Application Integrator iViews that attempt to log in to our product via SSO using Login Tickets.
When I run our app "natively" on the SAP J2EE Engine (NetWeaver), it works fine... i get my MYSAPSSO2 cookie and I can parse it, etc.
If I try to point the same System to an instance of our app running elsewhere (on JBOSS in this instance), I am not getting the cookie, even though the configuration is exactly the same.
I'm a bit of a "newbie" so please let me know if I'm missing something obvious. There's so much documentation available, I'm not sure what applies to me.
Alternatively, I can discontinue the use of the tickets and simply put the username in a HTTP request header... but I'm unsuccessful in getting that to work as well.
Getting frustrated! Please help!

Can't anyone help me with this one?
I'm running myself around in circles.
I have now discovered (no small means), that my EP and target app server must be in the same domain... they are.
But when i fully qualify the domain name in my system definition, the iView no longer gets to the target system... i just get a blank page.
This is on NW SP16, if that's of any help.
This is getting urgent and I would appreciate any advice.

How create iViews to integrate remote CE applications into central portal ?

Our Central corporate Portal is a SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP1, we also have a CE 7.1 Portal (Netweaver 7.1).
As explained in SAP demo, we now have the possibility to integrate into the central portal , remote java applications deployed on Composite Environnement 7.1, by using the Application Integrator, meaning that we can create Portal iViews that will integrate the CE 7.1 application similar to any other application integrated into the portal.

The upside of this strategy is that you do not need anymore to define a Federated Portal Network. (FPN)
I tried to create the afordmentionned iviews in the Central Portal, but I couldn't, in the Portal Content, I created the new Iview :

--->I gave the Iview a name and an ID, then I had the following error message

The template you selected allows you create local iViews that run a remote Web Dynpro Java application deployed on a different portal installation.
Choose the producer portal to which the remote Web Dynpro Java application has been deployed.
Note: Make sure that a system administrator has created and registered a connection to the relevant producer portal.

I seems that the system is reacting as if I was trying to setup a FPN. But I have no producer portal nor consumer portal, I just want to use the Application Integrator.
Any help on this issue would be really appreciated.
