Unpaid Leave Configuration in Oracle HRMS

Hi Champs,
I have requirement to configure Unpaid Leave. We want to follow the approach where one recurring standard link element will be attached to all the employees to check if leave is existing or not. If leave is existing then all the deductions will be consolidated and made as one deduction element. If leave is not existing then formula will just return the message.I am looking for setup steps for this.
If someone has any setup type document mentioning the steps and sample formula, please do provide.
Thank You in advance.
Cheers,

Hi Arun,
Can the HR not use the normal Absence screens(PUI) for the CEO ?
Approvals can be delegated with Vacation rules, but with MSS, only a manager can enter absence for employees and not the other way around.
You could create a custom self-service responsibility with the absence pages and have a custom security profile(to view only a select few). Does that help ?
Thanks,
Vignesh

Oracle EBS(11i and r12) does not provide you any web services.
Most of the code is in Pl/sql or C.
The next version of applications Fusion apps would have readily available web services which can be used to integrate with 3rd party solutions.
For now, you will either have to write your own Webservices(wrapper on top of Pl/sql APIs) or somehow connect to the EBS database.
There would be seeded pl/sql APIs/functions for most of the absences stuff.

Ail has recommended only for per_all_People_F, but does it sufficient to cover to setup all type of approval hirearchy like, I-Expense, Po Approval, AR-Collectore, AR -Salesperson selection etc.
Does it need any other table like, PER_ALL_assignment_F?

I don't think you will find any one place for this documentation!
    Try some of the following:
The 'product' is sometimes known as 'availability'. That may help MetaLink searches.
The functionality was delivered in patch 4429140.
That patch was then included in HR FP.K RUP1 and RUP2. Their redmes may contain soemthing about it.
The ebst docuemntation I have found is in MetaLink note 414834.1 which in turn relates to a number of other notes.
Hope this helps. If it doesn't, please come back as I may be able to find some presentatiosn I've given customers. I ahve also impelmented this a few times now and can probably help with further information.

  • Holiday Entitlement in Oracle HRMS

    Hi,
Please could anyone point me in the direction of the DB table(s) where an employees annual leave entitlement is recorded in Oracle HRMS?

    Hi ORA-01033,
Yes it is the same function which is used to get the balance.
    APPS.PER_UTILITY_FUNCTIONS.GET_NET_ACCRUAL
If you navigate to your Accrual plan definition, you would see the fast formulas which have the logic.
    Some sample seeded ones -

    Usha,
I am hesitant to specify potential conflicts and impact since I don't know the particular details of your setups and configuration. You can set up numerous organization hierarchies to meet your reporting needs, as outlined in the reading below.
However, the references for the areas of integration you mentioned in your posting are:

  • Can we have Oracle HRMS Payroll in Fusion and Core HR in R12?

    Hi,
Currently we are using Oracle R12.1.3 for Oracle HRMS and Oracle Financials. We are planning to implement Oracle Compensation and Payroll Modules in the near future. We are in dilemma whether to go with Oracle fusion or not for these specific modules.
We know HCM Coexistence enables us to integrate existing Oracle HR Applications with a hosted Oracle Fusion Compensation implementation. But we are nor sure about the payroll module. We need your valuable advises in proceeding with the payroll module implementation.
    1. Is it possible/certified to have payroll and comp module on fusion and remaining all in R12?
    2. (or) Is it good to implement payroll in R12 for now and move it to fusion in later period of time?
Please let us know your valuable inputs. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Lakshmi

I got the answer from oracle for the above question.
It seems Oracle support only outbound interfaces from Fusion Payroll. They do not have inbound payroll interface capabilities or a payroll back feed. We would need to configure Fusion HCM along with all the prerequisite work structures, set the appropriate Payroll license, configure the Fusion Payroll country extension and implement Fusion Coexistence for HCM to maintain the data between EBS and Fusion.
It means Oracle support Fusion Payroll only when we have the Core HR setup in fusion. It answers my question.
    Thank You,
    Lakshmi

  • Unpaid Absence configuration

    Hi All,
I have configured an Unpaid Leave (which is w/o quota). Now when I am creating the leave record in 2001, from a friday till monday, I can see ' Absence days' as 2 and 'Calendar days' as 4. Now my questions are:
    1. On what bases are Absence days picked up? Is it based upon the work schedule rule?
    2. Is there a way to get Absence days as 4 and calendar days as also 4 in the above scenario (where I want the saturdays and sundays to be counted in the absence) ?

    Hello Rohini,
    1. On what bases are Absence days picked up? Is it based upon the work schedule rule?
---  for saturday and sunday in ur configuration is paid off. but its calender day still. so it shows 4 calender days.
In absence valuation, you valuate absence days and not calender days ... so let it take 4 calender days ..
    2. Is there a way to get Absence days as 4 and calendar days as also 4 in the above scenario (where I want the saturdays and sundays to be counted in the absence)
-- i have one in mind ..i dont know how much it is fisible .. make calender indicator and absence type as Absence (Fri- Monday)
and in table T554S make maximum duration as 4.
means .. whenever an employee will take fri - monday absence his absence days will be calculated as 4
    Maybe that is the solution.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi friends...
Well...i just wanted to know HOW easy is it to interact with an Oracle HRMS application from within a BPEL process...
[Say, my BPEL process has some approvals from Finance Dept.., but i need to contact some application like Oracle Payroll, for some data...]
I think we would have to use some Application Adapter Service for this..but not sure..!
Would be great if anyone could refer me to some links or guide me in this regard...

    Hi,
You can read the data using "Middlware Tools" like XI,Business Connector,Mercator,Webmethods
          and using DB-Link.
If you want Read the data using ABAB coding, you need to use "Native SQL" Stament.
For XI and other Middlware , you need configure so many steps,(RFC defination,PORT,Partner)
         Required.
         Through ABAP Program :
Befor creating program , You need to find out "Oracle Server Name and Other details.
Please use below code as your reference.
    Open a native SQL connection.
    EXEC SQL.
    connect to 'ONECD'
    ENDEXEC.
Retrieve information from the BVER tables.
    EXEC SQL PERFORMING read_dental.
    select emp_ssn_num, emp_fname, emp_lname,
    to_char(start_date, 'YYYYMMDD') as start_date,
    rec_type,
    to_char(eff_date, 'YYYYMMDD') as eff_date,
    vendor_plan_id
    into :dental
    from opr$8oc.BVER_CURR_DENTAL_MASTER
    ENDEXEC.
    EXEC SQL PERFORMING read_medical.
    select emp_ssn_num, emp_fname, emp_lname, rec_type,
    to_char(start_date, 'YYYYMMDD') as start_date,
    to_char(eff_date, 'YYYYMMDD') as eff_date,
    network_code, pcp_number, patient_flag,
    vendor_plan_id,
    to_char(network_eff_date, 'YYYYMMDD') as
    network_eff_date,
    to_char(pha_eff_date, 'YYYYMMDD') as
    pha_eff_date
    into :medical
    from opr$8oc.BVER_CURR_MEDICAL_MASTER
    ENDEXEC.
Disconnect from the native SQL connection.
    EXEC SQL.
    DISCONNECT 'ONECD'
    ENDEXEC.
The system log has messages like 'Work process is in reconnect status' and 'Work process has left reconnect status' after the ORA-02396 message. And I specifically do a disconnect at the end and a connect at the beginning, but it looks like it is trying to do a reconnect?

  • JBO-33001: Configuration file /oracle/apps/crmCommon/activities/activityManagementService/applicationModule/common/bc4j.xcfg is not found in the classpath.

I am trying to consume a base model which is available in the Customer.jws (AppCmmnCompActivitiesPublicModelActivityManagement) to my Mobile UI project available in Sales.jws (SalesMobilePublicUi). We have added proper Databindings.cpx entry for accessing the applicationModule present in the model.
On deploying the sales mobile app, I get the following ConfigException:
JBO-33001: Configuration file /oracle/apps/crmCommon/activities/activityManagementService/applicationModule/common/bc4j.xcfg is not found in the classpath.
The bc4j.xcfg mentioned in the above path actually contains the entry. On checking about this issue, I found out that the prominent solution would be model project should be added as Dependencies to the UI project. But the UI is in different workspace (Sales.jws) and so the list of dependencies shown are those of this workspace only, whereas the model is present in Customer.jws and it does not come under the dependencies list.
How can this issue be resolved? Please let me know any pointers on solving this issue.

Build an adfLibrary from the model in the Customers.jws and add this adfLibrary to the other ui project. This will get you the dependency.
