Unpredictable Custom Remote Behavior with ATV v3.0.1

I discovered a problem with the new Apple TV (ATV) v3.0.1 software download. It seems that this download has a bug in it regarding the programming of remote TV contollers, such as the DirecTV remote that I had been using. AppleTV allows you to program any remote to control the ATV screens. I had previously programmed my DirecTV remote to control the ATV when set in the AV1 mode. It always worked fine. After the new ATV software was updated a few weeks ago, it mysteriously allowed the ATV to respond to DirecTV commands (when not in AV1 mode). Thus, random commands were being sent the the ATV causing random (unseen) migration through its menus. Eventually, a random movie was selected (unintentional, of course). This actually happened more than once. I have since re-progammed the ATV for the DirecTV remote and everything is back to normal. Anyone else experience this problem?

Unfortunately this is a symptom of any upgrade on any equipment. Upgrades can make older equipment incompatible entirely, require updates for other equipment or simply (as seems to be so in your case) require the device to be set up again or make settings adjustments.

Remote App with ATV died

I just updated my Ipod Gen 1 with 3.0, and updated remote...along with updating my ATV to 2.4. Now, my Apple TV will not see the ipod remote! It used to work fine before, I changed nothing on my network.
I use a TC on N for my macbooks and ATV. I use a G network for everything else. Ofcourse, the Ipod is attached to the G. This used to NOT be an issue. Has that changed? If so...bad apple...i'm not changing my whole network down to G to just use the remote app...

Custom Scale behavior with DAQ Task running

Hi to everyone, I am implementing a Polynomial Custom Scale for a sensor, but I have doubt about what happens if I change a Custom Scale and my DAQ Task is running, I suppose that the Custom scale does not change on the fly but my questions is if I have to clear the Task to apply the new custom scale or is enough with Stop the Task and Start the Task again.
I am using the DAQmx functions for the code. Thanks for your help.

Remote App on iPad not working with ATV

The remote app on my iPad (1st gen) was working fine with ATV last week. I noticed when using ATV there was a message about updating the ATV to a new version. I skipped the update each time as I just wanted to watch the program. However, we recently had a power outage which caused the ATV to shut down and I'm assuming launched the update as I didn't see the update message last night. However, I'm not able to use my iPad remote app with ATV any longer. When the remote app launches it indicates that it connected and it sees both ATV's. Yet, there is no ability to control the ATV. My iPhone 4S does not have this problem; It still works perfectly. I also have an iPad 2 and 3 and will check that shortly. Does anyone know for sure if the recent updates caused iOS 5.0 users to loose functionality?

Remote app and ATV (shortcut to STANDBY)

It would be nice if the Remote app had a direct "STANDBY" button you could hit no matter where you are in the menu structure and your ATV will enter into standby mode.
Unfortunately there's not. So you have to turn on your TV, step through the menus or you could of course "do it in the dark" (hitting MENU several times, scroll right, scroll all the way down and then hit ENTER (hoping that you are at the right menu).
Does anybody know of a shortcut to have your ATV enter standby mode?

That's true, provided that you use the Apple Remote that comes with ATV, but I'm using the Remote app on my Touch and there it doesn't work (holding the menu key and play/pause).
As to WHY? I just like have my gear turned off/standby, that's all. I haven't measured the power usage in standby/powered on mode.
An extra function in the "MORE" selection in the Remote app called "STANDBY" would do the trick.

RFC\BAPI to login into remote system with user id's in that system

How to login the remote desktop with user id and password using coded ui

we are using vs 2013, we have automated some automated test cases using coded ui. i have on problem while i am running the those test cases in remote system. here the scenario is "after executed one test case we need to restart the system. After restarted

What would be the effect of %_RFC in a custom remote enabled FM.

I have a requirement where there already exists a customized Remote enabled function module which contains the code for retreiving the production order number range based on the selection criteria(workcenter,plant) as follows:

This function is used in an INCLUDE program.Here I would like to know the significance of %_RFC.Im not able to locate the actual program where this include is used using the where used list to find out the value which may be passed during debugging as this may be called from another server.

Im not able to execute the program myself as it is linked with another server.

What's Impact of changing the customer Name(along with Bill To and Ship To) at the header level after book

We have a case where some of the orders we have created have incorrect customer name along with incorrect Bill To Ship To.
All these orders are booked. And their Line Status is either Awaiting Shipping or Supply Eligible.
What Impact of changing the customer Name(along with Bill To and Ship To) at the header level.

As said above there should not be an impact if the warehouse on the order before and after changing the customer, ship to and bill to remains same.
Additionally, if the item on-hand qty is sufficient to reserve the item and there is no B2B internal requisition kicked off.
As long as the above conditions are fine, I don't see any impact of changing the customer, bill to and ship to.
Also, you can run a complete wing to wing cycle in case you really want to test the behavior of the system in such scenario.

Try using POPUP_GET_VALUES function module in the begining of the Function module this gives a POP to provide a value to you

Check the import parameters of this Function module if it has COMBOBOX as parameter ( I dont have SAP access at this point of time) you can pass X to it so you get List box for the following fields

Custom Remote Question

I just bought an apple tv and loving it.
My set up is Apple TV > HDMI > Marantz AV Receiver which controls all my devices (cable box, blu-ray/dvd player and PS4).
I'm trying to set up Apple TV's custom remote so that I can use my Marantz remote with it but I'm kinda stuck as to which buttons I can use.
Arrows & select is easy, but I can't seem to use any of the Marantz's remote button for the Menu option.
Anyone with a similar set up out there that may be able to give me a suggestion? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if the universal remote control Logitech Harmony 550 works well with ATV? I just ordered one and I'd like to know if it can be can programed easily to replace the ATV remote.

How to get my custom controller updated with the global custom controller?

I'm new to CRM Web UI and need some advice from the expert. Currently I'm working on component ICCMP_BT_DATES and noticed something weird with this component. When this component is first launch it display the dates of a service ticket correctly. However when I navigate to another screen, save a new ticket and back, the dates are not reflected. When I went in and debug the component, I noticed that the context is still tied to the previous ticket. I think the custom controller is not updated with the latest from the global custom controller.
My question is how do I get my custom controller updated with the latest.

You have to bind your custom controllers context node to the event NEW_FOCUS of the collection wrapper on the global custom controller.
Best place to do this might be the CONNECT_NODES of the context of your custom controller.
Get the global CuCo with GET_CUSTOM_CONTROLLER() and then the appropriate context node. Now:
SET HANDLER yourMethod for lr_global_cuco->typed_context->thecontextnode->collection_wrapper activation iv_activate.
Of course you have to implement a method similar to ON_NEW_FOCUS as it is on many other nodes.

Unable to pair Apple Remote App with iTunes

I am running a Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5965 with Windows Vista SP 2. My iTunes software is 8.2.1.6, and my iPhone 3GS is running OS 3.0.1 (7A400). Both the Satellite and iPhone are connected to the same WiFi local network, and yet the App "Remote" by Apple Software is unable to communicate with iTunes to allow the entry of the four digit code to establish control of the iTunes library. Shortly after purchasing the iPhone 3GS I purchased the Satellite, but in the couple of weeks between the purchases the Remote App worked fine on my Gateway running Windows XP SP2. I have been through Apple Telephone support twice, and have really run one of the technicians through the mill researching possible solutions. I have visited an Apple Store Genius, who could find no reason for the problem. The iPhone and Remote App worked perfectly well on the store's WiFi and Mac, but his iPhone also wouldn't work with my laptop. I have been through Kaspersky's technical support system to ensure that there isn't a firewall issue. They have assured me, after reviewing logs from my laptop, that this is not the case. I even went so far as to uninstall all my Kaspersky product, but the Apple Remote App still would not function properly. I have updated the router's firmware, and checked that the laptop's wireless card is running the latest driver. At this point I can't think of anything else to try but would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Steve

Monday 7th Jan.
Just to say that Apple did call me this am to discuss the problem on foot of a call I made last week.
In the meantime the remote worked with both a 2007 IMac and a 2009 laptop but not on the m-mini.
When I tried pairing this morning during the call by pressing Menu and next together it paired.
The change is very subtle, it just says paired in the advanced section of the security et sl section as referred before, with a fleeting 2 intersecting rings icon.
The big difference is that Front Row is gone....
The remote only works to a limited degree within some apps such as iTunes and iPhotos.
In theory it controls the volume in iTunes but as of now for me it doesnt....:( need to look more.
As to what the problem was:
It seems there is a set of keyboard combinations that can be used to force a reset the ID of the remote, the suggestion is MAYBE that by getting it to work on the iMac and laptop in some way reset the ID.
This stuff is WAY beyond my skill level:)
I did impress upon Apple the need to look at the issue in threads like this....

Remote app with Apple TV

I use the Remote app with both an iPad and iPhone to control my first gen Apple TV. This works fine except for one thing. When I select "Apple TV" as the library, using an iPhone I have access to all my library including Podcasts. When I run the same app on my Ipad, still selecting "Apple TV" as the library, no Podcasts come up on the iPad to select - the category is completely missing.
Has anyone else seen this issue ? Are they still there but hidden somewhere else ? Bear in mind I keep no content on the Apple TV - it is effectively just acting as a wireless device to get the signal to my TV.

Literally nothing happens. I click the done button and hear a beep. Over and over again.
On the phone, the passcode is still displayed.
