Unread Messages Not Synching Help!*

I just upgraded to 2.0.2. My emails from my Microsoft Exchange account are not downloading unless they are READ. It is the WEIRDEST thing!
Read and Unread emails from my gmail account that is setup are both downloading just fine it is only with my OWA account where unread messages will not come through.
I have my email opened in my mac and I have 2 new messages. I refresh my iPhone which doesn't show either of those messages then I open 1 of the messages and then refresh my mail account to check for new messages and then all of a sudden the 1 unread message shows up but the 1 UNREAD message doesnt.
Has ANYONE ever seen this or know of a fix? PLEASE PLEASE help me out ... any suggestions would be VERY helpful

I presume that you mean version 2.0.1? Or do you have a pre-release version of the iPhone software?

Messages not synching

Good day. My messages are not synching. I have skype installed in 3 different devices. I only use the 2 other device to check messages. But It is not updating. We have a conversation (individual and group) yesterday but the latest conversation that is in my other device were 2-3days ago. Please help. I'm using Skype for Android, and 2 for Windows (a desktop and a laptop). All of them have the latest version of skype I believe (7.4 for Windows and 5.3 for Android)

Safari bookmarks not synching. help please...

I've spent ages reorganising my safari bookmarks on my macbook, however they are not uploading to icloud and therefore not synching with my ipad.
I've turned off the bookmark synching on the ipad and turned it on again, but I just get the same few bookmarks that I had before, not the ones from my macbook.

This is a .Mac Sync issue, not an iSync issue. Try asking in the .Mac Sync forum.

Unread messages not visible.

New user of Macs - about a fortnight, and having issues, not so much with using the MacBook, but trying to work out why and where to find things. Latest issue which started this morning is on downloading messages from my POP3 account, I get 3 unread messages, but not visible anywhere. I read through the other discussions and checked my mail folder in library and found the messages, which were legit, not spam. Moved them to trash and checked the count on the inbox and they had gone. Later in the day i logged in again and have a similar message of x messages, 3 unread - mail folder in the library has different messages this time. Also with the unread messages comes (but not always) and blank header - so there is a dot in the first column to indicate a new message but the remainder of the line is blank, and the preview pane tells me to go to the server to read the message - however there is nothing in webmail server, inbox is empty since it has all been downloaded to MacBook.
Any thoughts or hints?

The problem is probably that the mailbox has lost the .mbox suffix in the filesystem, but you appear to have introduced new issues by tinkering with the contents of ~/Library/Mail/ without taking the index into consideration...
Report the names of the files and folders present at the first level of the ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/ account folder in the Finder.
In order to post the exact file names and avoid typing mistakes, proceed as follows. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/. With that folder open, if you’re looking at it in View > as List mode, first collapse any expanded folders so that the Finder only shows the files and folders at the first level. Now, do Edit > Select All (⌘A), then Edit > Copy (⌘C), and paste it in your reply to this post.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

Unread notification not dissapearing - HELP

For the past few months I have had 5 'Unread' messages from a friend, I have tried many ways to remove this notification, such as reinstalling a clean skype, going through AppData and removing all the files containing the message history and scrolling through the entire conversation. I do not see these notification on my mobile phone which i have installed the android skype app.
I believe that I would be able to remove the messages if I opened 'Privacy Settings' and 'Cleared' my history. however as far as I am aware that will remove all of my message history, which I do not want.
Does anyone know of any fixes for this problem, short of clearing my entire message history?

I have already tried doing that numerous times, but the notification is still there. I have also tried removing the contact and re-adding them, however it had no effect either.

Sent Messages not synching?

Has anyone encountered an issue wehre the email (native email - not an application) is synching just fine without errors. But what is very odd - since Wednesday, all of "Sent Items" have not synch'd.
So i send a message and it goes out and the person receives it ... but i do not see it in my Sent folder.
And yes - when i'm my native MS Outlook client ... the sent message shows properly as expected.
Anyone have any thoughts?
My iphone is 3.1 and 3G model.

This must be an IMAP account.
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select the IMAP account.
Select Advanced for Account Info.
Under Mailbox Behaviors, check the server stored mailbox selected for the Sent Mailbox.
If correct, try deleting and recreating the account on your iPhone.

Curve 8310 Unread message not there

Has anyone had their blackberry say there's an unread message but when you check all your folders there's no new mail message? I've had this notification on my phone for days now and it's driving me insane.

This happens more frequently than one would hope. I find the quickest way to find it is via a search:
Homescreen > Messages > > Search
Set as follows (may vary depending on your device OS level):
Search Type: Local
Name In: Any Address Field
Subject Message: <leave blank>
Include Encrypted Messages: Yes
Service: All Services
Folder: All Folders
Show: Unopened Only
Type: All
That should return to you all unopened messages from all message conduits.

Messages not synching between devices

I've currently installed Messages beta, and I thought I would be able to sync the conversations between my computers and my iphone. However, nothing is synching. I'm running 10.7.3 and I previoulsly installed Chax. Even thought Chax is not supported for Lion, I keep getting a notice about ChaxHelperApplications trying to send scripts to iChat whenever I open the app. Should I be able to sync the conversations between devices? Is it possible that the Chax scripts are taking away this feature? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Find your Chax.dmg item and run the Installer and chose the Uninstall Option
(You may need to download it again if you did not keep the .dmg)
Once you have done this go to the Finder > Go Menu and hold the ALT key down and select Library
Open Preferences
Find com.apple.ichat.plist (this will keep a record that it needs to display the Chax Preference Pane icon and the Preferences)
Drag the .plist to the Trash and restart Messages (Yes Messages still uses that .plist).
This should remove the messages about Chax needing to start.
It should not have effected the ability to sync though.

Text messages not synching between my iPad and iPhone

How do I synch the text messages between my iPhone and my iPad. I just sent a text message to an individual using my iPhone 5 and the reply appeared on my iPad only. I also have a whole text conversation sent today that only appears on my iPad and not my iPhone.

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you are sending and receiving iMessages as the messages are received on your iPad.
Since these messages are not being received on your iPhone as expected, these steps are a good place to begin troubleshooting:
If you aren't receiving iMessages across all iOS devices
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on each iOS device and make sure that you signed in with your Apple ID. You must use the same Apple ID on each device.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You Can Be Reached By iMessage At and make sure that you selected each phone number and email address you want to use with iMessage.
If you linked a phone number to your Apple ID with iMessage and the phone number hasn't appeared, followthese steps.
Sign out of your Apple ID in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and Settings > FaceTime on all devices.
If you're linking a phone number to an Apple ID, sign in to iMessage on your iPhone first. Then sign in to the rest of your device one by one with iMessage and FaceTime.

Why is unread messages not updated in mail.app until restart

I have imap accounts in mail.app and on my iPhone and my iPod Touch and they are are all setup the same. If I read a msg on the mail.app, it is marked as read correctly and this also shows up on the iPhone and the iPod. But if I read the msg any other way, like on the iPhone, iPod or webmail, the msg is marked as read on all devices except the mail.app
The unread mail count will be correct if the mail.app program is restarted, but reoccurs as soon as the above is repeated.
This seems to be a problem that was reported earlier in 2007 on this forum (see link below) and marked as answered but I couldn't find any fixes, so if I missed them could anyone direct me to that or let me know if this is still an issue that needs to be fixed?

Thanks. After the rebuild of the indices the messages were again visible. It took indeed more than an hour. The help of mail was OK to find out how to do this (see below)
I had clicked first on the 'Postbus | bouw opnieuw op' rebuild option, but nothing happened.
The only minor thing now is that the Mail app icon shows in red more than 100 although there are only a few unread mails.

Nokia Messaging Not Synching all message ?

Hi -
I have been synching my googlemail account with my Nokia E63 without any problems for some time. However, when I look now - none of my messages are there from between the 16th June and 23rd June?
I have messages from 9, 10th, 11th, 12, 13, 16th June - but not the ones from 20th, 21st, and 22nd. Then they are there again for 23rd, 24th etc.
Why would this be?
The settings are to sync all mail - and to hold for 1 month ?

Check the first message that didn't sync - is there anything unusual about it? I'd just delete it from GMail and then try a sync again. Might have to delete one or two messages via the GMail web interface to give it a greater chance of success.

Messages not synching or archiving iMessages

Hi! My Messages on Mountain Lion are not archiving to the mac. I can't load old messages. I've tried everything I can think of to try to make my iPhone and Mac to sync messages, but nothing's working. Any ideas?

I had this issue once.
On checking thre iPhone settings the Apple ID had become Unchecked and th iPhone Number was not ticked at all.
I removed the Apple ID
Placed the iPhone in Airplane mode to break with the server.
On taking the iPhone out of Airplane mode I checked the iPhone Number was listed for iMessages and then re-added the Apple ID
As I did not get the pop on the Mac version as soon as I thought I should I restarted the Mac Messages app.
It then got the pop Up saying the iPhone was using the iPhone Number and Apple ID.
(I probably did not wait long enough but I would do this if the pop has not appeared in five minutes).

MacBook Air Messages Application and iPhone 6 Messages not synching

I have an iPhone 6 and just purchased a MacBook Air (OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2)
I am having trouble getting the Messages Application on the MacBook Air synching with my iPhones messages. A few contacts don't show up on the Messages application on my computer and sometimes messages take time to come through.
This might be a separate issue but my Calendar is also taking time synching. This seems more of a delay issue.

Gmail synchronizing never finish - last messages not synched

Last week i bought me a brand new BB playbook. Although I'm quite satisfied, the e-mail client gives me some frustrating issues, which I'm not able to resolve.
I have setted up a ActiveSync account to my compagny MS-Exchange server for e-mail, calendar and contacts. This works great. Also integrated LinkedIn and Facebook with no hassles at all.
The main problem is my Gmail account. I configured it using the regular Gmail settings (as presetted by BlackBerry). Is switched off contacts and agenda sync, only e-mail is on.
Advanced settings:
server : m.google.com
SSL yes
Push Yes
sync time 14 days.
When completing the settings Gmail starts to sync, and all appears to work fine (sending and receiving e-mail through the Gmail account).
THE PROBLEM: after some hours when I refresh the Gmail account it reports (drawing the mail list on the left downwards), a rotating circle with the text 0 of 25 (or sometimes a higher number). After some minutes there is no progress at this point notable. This situation can stay for hours, and new mails are received sometimes on the next day.
I also noted that sometimes one of the panels reports 'lost internet connection' This appears to be weird, since exchange mails sync perfectly and webbrowsings goes perfectly. I have used 3 different accesspoints with different internet connections.
I also removed the Gmail account completly, and have restarted the playbook several times.
Who has any suggestion how this can be resolved????

A solution that appears to help me:
I used 'labels' inside the gmail configuration, which have also swiched on IMAP. I switched off the IMAP on this labels in the Gmail config, and removed and re-created the mail account on the playbook. Now everything works fine. I suggested that there could be a bug in the IMAP handling.

The first one is to use a tool called “nvspscrub.js”. Download nvspscrub.js then from cmd run: “cscript nvspscrub.js”, this will delete all vswitches, virtual NICs in the parent partition and will unbind the switch protocol from all physical NICs.
This script aborts when a class turns up undefined. Maybe this old script applies solely to Windows Server 2008. Dunno.

Hi Mark,
I just came across the same issue!
After troubleshooting, I deleted all my Virtual Switches and reinstalled my WiFi and Ethernet NIC drivers.
I'm now able to create the Virtual Switches without error.
