Unread texts / missed call alerts x3-02

hi,
Have not had a Nokia for over 10 years and am beginning to remember why...
I have just bought an X3-02 and am missing so many text messages, not returning missed calls etc. How can I programme this *** phone so that the phone rings every x minutes when I receive a text or a missed call? I'm often in meetings at work and unless I have my phone under my nose I don't see/hear a missed message. I've tried to download "remind me" from the Ovi store, but of course it's not compatible with my phone. Please help, I'm going crazy trying to find a solution. This phone is going to finish at the bottom of a lake very soon if you can't help.

With the option "Light effects" turned on, when I receive an SMS message, but I miss it first time around, the keyboard light slowly turns on and off. So if I leave my phone on my desk at work, when I come back, the lighting effects allow me to see if a message is there. I guess this also works for missed calls, but I haven't had any missed calls yet !
Actually, I too was frustrated that there is no reminder option. But I find this method of reminding better. My phone doesn't beep now all the time I miss a message, which suits me better, as in the office I work in, that is annoying for everyone else.
The lighting effects work for me, and I'm happy with the X3.

my son had this problem. I went to the apple store and they wiped out and restored the phone.. They said that was all they could do but that I should call our phone carrier and ask them. I did. They asked if in the top left side, next to battery power there was a icon of a half moon. There was. They said to go in to settings and go to "Do not Disturb" and turn it off. I did.....problem solved!!! Somehow "do not disturb" was turned on and that is what happens if it is!!

Making email/text/missed call symbols show when the iphone screen is asleep

So I purchased my first ever iphone on the weekend - the new 3G S. All very exciting. One thing I haven't quite worked out is whether it is possible to have the phone show me that I have mail/text/missed calls when the screen is asleep. Is this possible?
With Nokias and Sony Ericsson's when the screen is asleep and blacked out, you can still see a pic of an envelope etc to let you know there is something waiting for you like a text. Is this possible with the iphone and if so how?
Alternatively if there is an app that will do this, could you let me know what that is called so I can download it please?

This is not possible with the current iPhone and version 3.0 software. There are no apps available either that will wake the iPhone up and activate the screen to provide you information. Hopefully this'll come in some furure software update.

Getting missed call alert while Data services is ON

dear team,
It has been observed in my BB Z30 that whenever i make "ON - Mobile Data services", the person who are calling to me getting "Not Reachable announcement" the same tested by me also by using my another number.I am getting Missed called alert sms for same.
Please help me if any setting i have to make.

IPHONE 6 Missed Calls Alerts???

In Iphone 6 or in IOS 8, Is there any option to have missed calls alerts like message alerts?
Also it has alert battery is full charged?

I'm a pretty experienced user and have Allow Notifications On and Alerts (rather than banners) On. I expect that to show an alert when I get a call. I have a 5S and I am running 8.1. I've reset (and hard reset) the phone multiple times. I've upgraded the OS too.
Here's what happens: I'm at work, the phone is plugged in, the Mail app is open, I can see the screen.
Then, while I'm on the land line, the iPhone rings but I can't answer it. After the caller hangs up, there is no alert on the screen. I think there should be.
This gets worse when instead of being in the office, I step out for one minutes, the iPhone rings and I don't hear it because I'm talking, I come back in o office, glance at phone which is still unlocked and still open in the Mail app (could be any app), and there's no indication of a missed call beyond the badge changing (from 11 to 12 say). I've missed important calls this way.
Not sure when this alert behavior changed. Before IOS8 I think.

8330 Missed call alerts

Anyone know of a program like Blackberry Alerts that will work with Verizon 8330 Curve? Handango says not compatible. I downloaded one off of handmark that seems pretty pointless.

Unless they show up on your online account, probably not. Not on the missed calls anyway. The sms should come through once you turn on your phone or get into coverage area.

Text/missed call indicator icons no long showing

This is a minor thing, but I prefer to have the area below the clock and above the list of icons to show me alerts such as that I have a text msg or a missed call or a voicemail. It was doing this before but for some reason now all I get is the blinking red light but the alert icons are no longer showing up.
I looked through the forums and couldnt find anything also tried to mess with settings but haven't come up with anything.

Emails and Texts will always have an audio and vibration (if turned on) cue when something comes in. Text messages and toasts will turn on the phone to show you the message for a brief period same as the iPhone and any Andriod device.
In regards to a notification light, no such thing in Windows Phone Nokia devices.
All you have to do is turn on the phone and on the lock screen you should see your missed calls, emails and texts. Toast messages will not be displayed on the lock screen. We'll have to wait for Windows Phone 8.1 next month to get a notification center type interface.

Very quick question.... preview texts / missed call notifications

I've had my Z3C for over a month now. If I am totally honest.. I wish I had stuck to the iphone. But never mind, i am pleased i have given it a try.
Anyway... how do i turn on SMS previews? I've worked out how to get whatsapp message previews but I can't see sms previews.
Also, can i see that I have received a text or missed call while on the locked screen? When I receive a text or missed call while i've been away from my handset for a short time I sometimes don't realise unless i unlock the screen.
How do I change this? Thanks in advance

If you lose your phone, will your unread messages, missed calls and contacts transfer

I don't know why it's such a hard question to find the answer to, but I can't figure it out. If you've lost your phone, when you get your number put on a new phone, will the:
Contacts transfer?
Will you have your un-read messages?
Will you see your missed calls?
Will you have your voicemails?
Please, someone help me out here

Contacts transfer? If you had them backed up, i.e. backup assistant, Google or iCloud.
Will you have your un-read messages? As long as they had not been delivered to your phone yet(for texts). If they had been delivered to your phone but you just hadn't read them, then no. For emails, as long as they have not been deleted from the server.
Will you see your missed calls? Don't really think so.
Will you have your voicemails? Depends on what kind of phone you had and will have. For example an iPhone utilizes a different voicemail system than any other phone(of course it does, its an Apple product) and voicemails will not transfer to/from an iPhone to any other type of device. Any other phone, they should.
Please, someone help me out here
Edit: Verizon only tries to deliver text messages for 5 days. If you have not had a phone active on your line for more than that length of time, you will start to lose some of your "un-read" messages.

E55 timings of "missed call" alerts

Hi there,
I was just wondering, when I miss say two or more calls from the same person, is there any way to see at what times did I miss EACH of their calls?
I know it sounds crazy but I notice when this happens, the Log only shows me the time-stamp from the last call I missed from that person.
I remember on my old 6230i that there was an option that showed the "Time of Call" for each event on my log - don't see this anymore on the E55.
Or am I missing something?

No, and based on the way apps access phone functions (via dial-URLs), don't expect one.
2) If no legal app is available, is there a app available if I hack the phone?

3) If 1 and 2 are not an option, what is the policy of at&t to switch from this "phone" to another phone? (I've been with att for 8 years, don't want to drop them, just need a different phone if I can't get audible alerts)
If you purchased the iPhone with the subsidy from AT&T, you'll have to pay full retail price for a replacement phone (unless you purchased it less than 30 days ago - then, return it and pay the restocking fee).

Missed call alerts?

Is there any way to set up alerts on the Kin two? If i missed a call or a message when it came through my old Verizon phone would beep periodically to let me know I missed something. Anything like his availableon the Kin two?

Have the 2m for 2 weeks now,and to my knowledge from having the phone and reading other posts and reviews,there is no message/missed call or new voice mail reminder.Which is kinda odd but its one of those little issues about the phone that you have to live with.

IOS8 - stop iPhone missed calls alerts appearing on iPad?

This is driving me nuts... Every time I open my iPad in the lock screen are message about missed calls on my iPhone.
First... WHY!!!!!???!!!!

RexRox, I guess it depends on your perspective.
I appreciated that the feature was on by default after the update since it meant that I didn’t have to do anything to start using it. I was also aware of it because, before I updated my device, I took the time to read the information that Apple put on their web site that explained what new features were being introduced with the new OS and I learned how they would affect me. Also, I don’t think Apple is aware of how everyone configures their devices. In your case your devices, as well as your wife’s, share the same Apple IDs for iCloud services. Most people would keep those separate I think.
I understand your motive was to share Calendars and Contacts but you can share editable calendars amongst separate iCloud accounts.

Also, the new Family Sharing feature actually creates a shared Family calendar by default when it is set up.

Contacts, on the other hand, aren’t sharable, would be nice if they were, but it is very easy to send contact cards to another person using share sheets.

Missed call alerts application

Hi . I just bought this in the itunes store, has any one used this? There is apparently an issue with older firmware 2.2 or something. But we have the latest 3.1.2 on my phone though.

Texting and calling alert help

When texting on my iPhone 4, if someone calls me I don't recieve an alert until they leave a voicemail. Is there a way to change this in settings? I'd like to recieve an allert when someone is calling while I'm texting so I don't miss the call.

How is it confusing? While I am texting, meaning I have the texting screen open, I'm typing a text out to a friend or they are replying to my last text. Then I suddently get an allert that another friend left me and voicemail at that moment, but I had no idea they were just calling me because my phone doesn't allert me that someone is calling me while I'm texting. I want my phone to alert me when I have an incoming call when my text screen is open so I don't miss the call.
However when I am on the phone with somone, meaning I had a call that I answered and I am now having a voice conversataion with this person, if another friend texts me during the call I do get an alert for that, I'll hear a little tweet during my phone conversation. So that is not the problem.
It shouldn't have to do with my provider because on my old phone when I was texting and got a call the call came up on the screen so I knew someone was calling.
I hope that's more clear.
