Unreadable window in iTunes. HELP!

When I open iTunes, the menu text displays as an "A" in a square as in a typewriter font.
This has occurred for almost a year, ever since I purchased a new Mac Powerbook last summer.
I keep thinking one of the Mac updates will fix it, but evidently not.
Is it a corrupted font? What font does iTunes use for display?
I've searched online this past year and have not found a solution.
It's annoying, iTunes still works and I can pretty much guess correctly when choosing because of the icons.
Note that the playlist, i.e. songs, podcasts listings, all show up correctly... it's just the side panel.
I've posted on this problem before (as have several other people) with no response or help.
Doesn't Apple have anyone who checks out these forums for problems, especially with their products?

Finally, I have found the answer. I hope this helps others, too.
I downloaded an application called OnyX for Lion.
I ran it's delete Font Cache on all system and applications.
And, voila iTunes looks as it should - all type in menus and lists are readable.
After one year, it's great to have an iTunes window I don't have to decipher.

Windows 7 ITUNES HELP!

Hello everyone,
So here is my problem, when I start up Itunes, the Itunes store loads but when "Genius" is gathering information from my library the app quits. A window pops up and informs me that a "problem has occured with Itunes". it then goes on to tell me to "wait" while windows searches for a solution. then a second window pops up and informs me to "close program" itunes will only close if i hit the "close program" button. NO OTHER WAY... I've searched here a few times for answers. I've uninstalled every single apple download/product i have...
Bonjour, Apple app support, itunes, apple software update, safari, and apple mobile device support...
then i reinstalled itunes. and i still get the same problem. I've even tried to just disable the Bonjour service. That worked for a bit and then stopped working for me.

ITunes Helper.exe - Entry point not found error after upgrade

I just tried to install the latest iTunes software for Windows on two separate PCs running XP Pro SP3 and get the same error on both PCs at every windows startup: iTunes Helper.exe - Entry point not found. The procedure entry point sqlite3preparev2 could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll. Is this a known issue with a fix?

IPod not recognized by Windows or iTunes....I've tried everything...HELP!

When I connect my 30GB iPod (5th gen) to the PC's usb port, Windows or iTunes doesn't recognize it. I know the iPod's dock connector is working because it charges when plugged into the usb port and it also works when connected to my car stereo. I think the problem may have started after updating the firmware to the latest version. I have tried the following things and it still doesn't work:
1) Five Rs, except I can't Reinstall and Restore because the iPod isn't recognized by iTunes
2) Updated iTunes
3) Restarted ipodservice
4) Tried a new usb cable
5) Tried 2 other computers
6) Tried different versions of iTunes
7) Tried using MediaMonkey or Anapod
8) Disabled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for all USB Root Hubs on my laptop.
9) Deleted the 2 registry keys HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E980-E325 11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

I restarted "ipodservice.exe" from the Windows Services control panel. It's one of the suggestions from the Apple website. I didn't try installing iTunes from the installation cd, I just downloaded the latest version from the Apple website. Maybe I should try that.
I have a Dell Dimension 1.6GHz Pentium-4 running Windows 2000. I also tried it on a Dell Latitude D610 laptop running Windows XP Pro, but it still doesn't work. I don't think we have the same problem. It sounds like your problem is with your computer, not your iPod or iTunes.

Instead of removing the music from the cloud or the iTunes library why not shuffle your music using a Smart Playlist which excludes the holiday music, or tracks that are not checked. For example, use this very simple Smart Playlist:

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

I did all that HT1925 recommended and it was no help. My computer still won't recognize my iPhone. Often trying to start Apple Mobile Device Service fails with an error message that it starts and then stops immediately.

ITunes will not shutdown I have to Contrl-Alt-Delete and end itunes.exe and itunes help to get it to shut down and stay closed. I did a system restore and went back to 10.5.1 version and updated to 10.5.3 no dice Windows 7 64 bit

Itunes will not stay close ever since I updated to 10.5.3 version. I try to close program and it pops right back up! The only way to close is open tack manager and stop the itunes.exe and the itunes.help then it will stay close. I did a system restore back to the earlier version of itunes but problem presisted. I finally did the task manager again and downloaded the update to 10.5.3 and this seemed to resolve the problem for awhile but now it is back! Is anybody else experiencing this problem? and where you able to correct it? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit have never had a problem with anything till now. I ran scans of my machine no viruses.

After the update to v10.5.3 iTunes isn't shutting down anymore. I have this error on various Windows versions (XP SP3, Win7 x86, Win7 x64.
On my private Notebook v10.5.2.11 still works! I won't update iTunes there - not even for a test .

Ok I got my ipod shuffle for my birthday but I got I beforehand so I could add songs. First it worked fine,played songs,was recognized in itunes but then the next day when I tried playing the songs using my ipod shuffle the error light flashes.I left it for another day and checked again.error light still flashing.I then connected it too the computer.not recognized in windows or itunes.it is extremely annoying.i have re-installed the software twice,got more updates and i have read all the tutorials but still the exactly same problem.i am getting incredibly annoyed with it and so is my dad.please help!

Nano not recognised on windows or itunes and will not charge, help!!!!

i went to update my ipod the other day and it said that the ipod was corrupted, so i took it out and pluged it back in again and it worked fine. then i went to charge my ipod on the computer a couple of days later and its not regognised on windows or itunes and will not charge!
i have reset, restarted and updated etc and nothing has happened. i have read other thru peoples messeges who have simular problems and they say that reinstalling and reseting to factory conditions doesnt work.

Yes, you can.
"Putting your iPod into disk mode" is simply a process that involves pressing a few buttons on your iPod, getting it into Disk Mode.

After updating ios my ipad is stuck in recovery mode and is not being recognised by the computer in windows or itunes. Help!

Help - I am stuck in Afghanistan on operations and my iPad mini has died.
I tried to update the IOS as directed, there were a few error messages and I cancelled the process.
The ipad now only shows the connect to itunes screen and is not being recognised by the computer in either windows or itunes.
I have tried several resets and restarted the computer and reinstalled itunes.
Is there anything else I can do.
This is my only method of talking back to my family at the moment and is really quite important.

This could either be a conflict with the iPod's docking port, the iPod's USB sync cable, or even the USB port you are plugging the iPod into on your PC. So the first thing I would try and do is plug the iPod into a different USB port on your PC. Make sure it's a high powered USB 2.0 port as they provide a higher power throughput than older USB ports or even the ones that are sometimes available on the front of the tower.
It might help to disconnected all other USB devices from the PC (minus the keyboard and mouse) and reboot the PC. Then reconnect the iPod once again.
If still no luck, swap out the cable with another known working cable to rule out the possibility of a damaged or faulty cable.
Lastly, plug the iPod into another PC to see if it's recognized there. If the same error appears on another machine, it's likely a hardware issue with the Nano meaning you'll want to have it serviced or replaced.
