Unresponsive Firefox script errors disables all computer audio

I am currently running Firefox version 31, and recently have had it crashing several times a day due to "unresponsive scripts." Whether I tell the script to stop or continue trying, afterwards NO audio on my computer whatsoever will play. Nothing on Firefox, Chrome, windows media, MP3s, etc.
I have already tried making the browser ask for permission to use Flash and other add-ons, disabling my add-ons, not using hardware acceleration, resetting Firefox, and all the other options that FF help suggests. None have fixed this issue. Once the sound has stopped, it won't work in Chrome or anything else.
The scripts commonly occur on Squarespace, which is where my website is hosted. They sometimes occur on other sites, often where (I suspect) Flash is running. I've also tried redownloading Flash as well.
Can someone please help?

Did you check the Windows Task Manager to see if there are still plugin-container processes present in case that is the cause of this issue?
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:

X-fi picks up all computer audio please h

This is an issue regarding the X-fi extreme music.
Before anybody states it, yes I have "what you hear" unticked, this is my 3rd motherboard with this card and have had the same problem with everyone of them. Also I have the most recent drivers.
My problem is when using my mic to talk to friends, they can hear everything thats going on from my system ie gunfire from games, music, ect. I've done several test to weed out the possibilities that its my speakers, mic, or head phones by unplugging all of these and doing sound recordings with music playing, so i have no external form of audio protruding out, yet when i record the music playing it still picks up all the audio. Im stumped if anybody has a solution to the problem please let me know, its very annoying.

Hi i have this problem with the xfi extreme gamer? I bought Magix Samplitude Music studio 4 and when I installed it and tried to record some instuments via the line in.. It records the other tracks as well I have a mixing desk coming in via line in through which I can record vocals and gutars etc..
I have seen people talk about muting the wave out mix as I knew it on my old computer but I can't find an option for doing this anywhere. Some say, there should be a what you hear option but I don't appear to have that either..
On the old windows mixer, you had a dialogue box where you could block the wave out mix for recording but still have it play back the sounds that were computer based therefore you could listen to them while you recorded on the line in. My onboard audio is disabled in the bios as I thought I could do everything via the exfi. Anyone got any idea what is wrong here?

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Garageband turns all computer audio off...?

I have a USB microphone going into my Powerbook G4 running Tiger. Everything has worked perfectly until recently. During recording, Garageband will randomly turn off ALL audio on my computer during recording, so that I cannot hear the little pops as the volume gets changed, no audio from iTunes or the trash can or anything whatsoever, even though the menu bar still shows volume turned up. When I try to play something, i hear two quick pops, which I'm assuming is the audio turning on then back off again. As soon as I quit Garageband the audio comes right back, I can start up Garageband and things will work fine for an indefinite period of time before it turns it right back off.
Any ideas on how to make it stop? I feel like this is some silly small detail I'm overlooking....

I cannot open my mail in hotmail. I cleared my cache and cookies, I reinstalled firefox, I tried disabling all add-ons and plug ins...nothing works. I don't understand, yesterday it worked just fine. Any help?

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Error Disables All Other Events

I am using a property node for my STOP button to trigger an event within an event. Everything was working fine when I just threw it together; added error handling and cleaned stuff up it no longer worked. The symptom was my event within the first event never seemed to fire.
I broke it down to simple stuff and I found out what causes this but I do not know why ... as usual. Apparently, when I run an error cluster through my property node AND I trap an error (simulated by me toggling the boolean to T as in the screencap) no other events work except the one currently running, which happens to be the Application Timeout event. If no errors, I can fire events within events all day long.
No other events except timeout and "stop -> value change" in my little sample VI. My workaround was to avoid running the error cluster through the property node.

Nodes typically will not execute if error in is true. There are exceptions such as closing references. The LabVIEW help will tell you if the node executes normally when error in is true. The property node will not execute since you forced an error into it.
Try out user events. Sure there is a lot more wires involved. But you can use Action Engines to store references and hide the creation, registration, unregistration and destruction of the user events.
Timeout will continue executing. The loop has a false wired to the stop if true terminal. You have to wire a -1 to the timeout terminal to stop it from executing.
Here is something that I think does what you are trying to do. Study it with the context help open and highlight execution turned on. (Also attached for LV8.2)

Thanks for the help. I did what you advised, but it still did not work.
The repair disk was successful. Unfortunately when the system restarted to boot my startup disk, I faced the exact same problems as I did previously. I also did a hardware test, but no problems were found.
Even tried powering off and on the macbook pro again but the same problems remained...
I tried to back-up my files too but they refuse to copy/move into my hard disk drive folder.
Nothing works.
Do you have other ideas? Or suggestions?

Whay am I having script errors with some of my websites only on Firefox, not other browsers, causing the computer to freeze for a bit at a time.

I keep getting "script" errors and my computer locking up while using Mozilla Firefox on some of my websites. I don't have this problem while using Internet Explorer. Why has this just started and how can I resolve this? I like Firefox, but will have to start using a different browser if this doesn't get resolved.

M-Audio Firewire 410 install disables all my other audio

Only a reinstall of my OS brings back audio. When I tried reinstalling the Firewire 410, it again disabled all my audio (reboot does not restore). I bought it as an interface to record vocals and guitar into GarageBand 1.1.
Anyone experienced this?

Lots of folks are having great success with that unit. My guess is that there is some preferences not set right. Do you have external speakers? Or are you using the computer speakers? If you have external speakers, do they connect directly to your computer? Or do they connect to the interface? Mine connect to my Tascam US-122, so I have to have it selected for Output in my preferences.

All-11-otn4.js - Page Stops responding due to Java script error

I am getting java script error in all-11-otn4.js. My page becomes unresponisve and I am getting the cause as all-11-otn4.js file. After this error I cannot do any thing in page, I need to restart IE.
I am navigating from one View state to another View state and then again comming back to original view state. When I am comming back to Original View state, I am getting this error.

UDLD Detection & Error Disable On Cat 6513

We have a problem with an etherchannel trunk between 2 Cat 6513's. The etherchannel is 8Gb split across 2 Copper 10/100/1000Mb 16 port cards in each chassis. The trunk uses ports 13 - 16 on slot 5 in one chassis to 13 - 16 on slot 5 in the other chassis and 13 - 16 on slot 6 in one chassis to 13 - 16 in slot 6 on the other chassis.
We appear to have had a UDLD Detection which error disabled all 4 of the links from slot 6 to slot 6 at the same time. IE ports 13 - 16 on slot 6 of both chassis went into error disabled state.
Could this be a ASIC hardware problem on one of the cards? If so, how do we establish which end of the trunk the problem exists? All other connections on these slot 6 cards are working fine.

UDLD is a protocol that discovers if communication over a link is one-way only, and therefore partially broken. A damaged fiber cable or other cabling/port issue could cause this one-way only communication. Spanning tree loops can occur with this problem. UDLD allows the port to detect a unidirectional link, and can be configured to put a port in errDisable state when it detects this condition.

Firefox often slow, not responding and showing unresponsive script errors.

In the last few weeks, firefox has often gone unresponsive, usually shown as 'not responding.' This lasts anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes (possibly longer, but by that amount of time I loose patience and 'end task' in task manager.) This is usually followed by an 'unresponsive script' error. Which script it is varies. I've been responding by clicking 'stop script,' which usually fixes the problem temporarily.
The problem seems to occur mostly randomly, but will predictably always occur on site with videos like youtube. Here it is also worse, taking much longer to resolve if it does at all. I've got flashblock active, and sometimes the error will occur before I get a chance to activate the video and sometimes after, but will always occur. Also, on this sort of site, the 'unresponsive script' error will also go unresponsive most of the time, which I've not seen anywhere else, meaning that the only solution, after a while is to end the process in task manager. I've at times attempted to play the same video for half an hour with no success.
As I've therefore spent a fair bit of time in task manager, I've noticed that I end up with many processes running for FlashPlayerPlugin_15_0_0_152.exe*32 (Description: Adobe Flash Player 15.0 r0.) They build up the more I use firefox, but go away when I restart my computer. I've gotten up to at least 50 at one point. Most use 128 or 124 K of memory, but about 1 in 7 uses between 1-5000 K. I don't know if this is linked to the above issues, but I've only noticed it since it started.
I've tried resetting firefox and it changed none of the above.
If it helps, I used Windows 7. Feel free to ask for any more details about my system and I will do my best to answer, though I'm not an expert in computers. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Thanks for the advice. What solved it was disabling all addons and then restarting the computer. I've since reenabled Adblock (2.6.4) and Flashblock (1.5.17) without causing the problem to reemerge, leaving Troubleshooter (1.1a) as my only previously enabled addon I've not reenabled. I am no longer experiencing the issue.
Regarding updating to version 32, I tried this, but the official site told me I already had the most up to date version of firefox for some reason. Normally, it updates automatically. However, as my issue has been solved I don't consider this a problem.
