Unselect an event from a slideshow that shows everything else in thelibrary

Is there a way to mark photo events so that they won't show up in slideshows?
I like to see my entire iPhoto library (40+ events), sans an event or two.
I am thinking specifically of my appletv screen saver.
It just annoys me to see work related pics mixed in with my family pics when I am home and not working. I don't have many of them, and they are all in one event, but I can't seem to unselect that event.
I do realize I can create a slideshow and leave certain folders out, but thats problematic
because my iphoto library is organized by events, not by folders
and because I would have to contantly add the new photos to the slideshow
and that would be a lot of work, since the slideshow plays ongoing as a screensaver for my appletv.

Thanks! I think its solved now.
I ended up using the hide photos option from right down in the toolbar once you are inside an event
that one was staring me in the face and seems to work the best bc i can hide the photos I don't want to see and all my other photos including the ones i've just added all show in the default slideshow in appletv.
multiple libraries are problematic bc of syncing with appletv
and the other option only makes a slideshow in one event (what i wanted was to show all my library)
both are helpful to know, but the hide option works best for me.

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

Is there a way to base a collection from a query that shows all Distribution Points?

I am able to create a query in Excel that shows all distribution points in my SCCM hierarchy:
i.e.
SELECT v_DistributionPointInfo.ServerName
FROM SMS_EY0.dbo.v_DistributionPointInfo v_DistributionPointInfo
Is there anyway to get this query into SCCM Queries so that I can base a Collection off of the query. This way, I will have a dynamic collection to show me all of my 630+ distribution points?

Thanks alot for the statement. In my situation it didn't worked. The probem is, that the data in SMS_DistributionPointInfo.Servername is written as FQN. In SMS_R_System.Name the Name is without FQ.
I have successfuly tested the following query in SQL:

HT5043 Some events from IPhoto do not show up in Itunes

I just imported a set of photos in IPhot0 as a new event. However, when I tried to sync my Ipads (Ipad 1 and Ipad 3) this new event doesn't show up. This happened after the last upgrade of IPhoto (version 9.4.2). I have removed the IPod Photo Cash and rebuild it by a new sync, but that didn;t help either. The last event is not visable in the Photo tab in Itunes. Also the recent album has zero photo's.
Anyone with help?

I saw somewhere a suggestion to create a smart album in IPhoto. I did that, quited both IPhoto and Itunes started Itunes again and magically the new album appeared in the list.

i have no trouble with MAC or IPAD. But when i try to access itunes or app store on my iphone i get Heidi @yahoo.com and asks for her password..i know noone by that name and cant explain how it got there.
its causing me problems with Updates

You probably have at some time been given an app that was purchased through that Apple ID. If so, you will have to find and delete that app from your iPhone. Also, go here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores
and confirm that you are signed into your own Apple ID. Even if you are, you may want to sign out and back in.

Help! I backed up my new iphone 4s and all my existing contacts and calendar events from my old iphone. Everything transferred but now I don't have the option to edit my contacts or calendar and I can't add any new contacts or events to my calendar.

The "edit" box and "+" symbol don't even show up in my calendar or contacts so I can't edit or add in either.

Assuming you activated iCloud, try going to Settings>iCloud and make sure Calendars and Contacts are set to ON.

ITunes says computer not authorized...but only for one TV show--everything else in iTunes library plays

I made a purchase of a TV show from iTunes on my iPad. I only have one Apple ID/iTunes account. I synced my iPad to my computer (Win 7, iTunes 10.6.1.7) and the TV show was synced from my iPad to my computer. But when I go to watch the video on my computer, I get the first message below that says I need to authorize this computer - weird because this is the only file in my iTunes library that is prompting this message - anyway, I type in my Apple ID and password and get the second message. I go to play the video and I get the first message again.
I followed the instructions from http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1389, which did not solve my problem.
Any thoughts?

You seem to be mixing up two different things, authorisations and linking an iPod with a library.
1) iTunes Store authorisations
If your system crashes or you reinstall your operating system without deauthorising iTunes first, even a single computer can use up your limit of 5 authorisations. You can't deauthorise a "dead" installation on it's own. However once you reach your limit of 5 you have the option to deauthorise them all in one go from your iTunes Store account and start over again. Just note that you can only use this option once a year: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation
2) Syncing an iPod with an iTunes Library
If an iPod set to update automatically and you connect to a new computer or new library (made after you lost the original one) you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc. If you have rebuilt your library and everything that is on the iPod is also in iTunes pressing "Erase and Sync" will reload and relink the iPod to iTunes. If the iPod has content on it that isn't in iTunes press "Cancel".

No Sound from iTunes or CD - But everything else (Web and Movies) is OK

I am running iTunes 8.0.1 and can't get any sound when I play any tracks, either downloaded or ripped from CD. It is not the speakers as if I view web pages, I get their sound, as well as when I play film clips stored on my iMac.
I do not have any other speakers connected, neither via cable or airport.
Any ideas...?

How can you erase a certain event from the iPad2 but keep it in iPhoto?

I have two events that were split up by iPhoto when it synced to my iPad2. Collectively there re about 400 photos in the two events and they were split into over 50 separate events some labeled sequentially as 102IMPRT 103IMPRT....and so on, and otehrs labeled with the original event label. I have not been able to regroup the events. they are still OK as two Events in iPhoto. My latest idea is to try to export the files from iPhoto without the geo and file name to a folder. Erase the events in iPhoto and then reimport them into new events in iPhoto. Then sync to iPad.
Before I did all that I wanted to remove the split events from my iPad. I tried to remove them from the iPad by unchecking the source events but checking all others in iTunes before syncing but that doesn't work probably because the pieces all have different names in the iPad. Maybe unchecking the events just doesn't sync them or make any changes..I thought that if you unchecke the events it would remove them. The real problem probably is that the spit events don't exist in iPhoto.
I did remove them from the iPad once by checking sync with nothing by unchecking iPhoto in iTunes. But that removes the whole library of 10000+ photos. I did that and restored an old library from before the time the events were split (from Time Machine) then resynced with the newest iPhoto and it split the same two events again in pretty much the same way. I got nowhere and it took 4-5 hours to delete and reload the10,000 photos.
Is there any way to remove events from the iPad that the crazy sync is creating, and don' t exist in your iPhoto library or on your iMac and iTunes without destroying the rest of the library of photos on the iPad??

I tried syncing with the sources unchecked so no photos would sync. When it got done it erased all the library photos except the messed up events, they remain on the iPad. The Vacation photos are in two albums, one is called camera roll, and the other improted photos. None of the photos were taken with the iPad camera and should not show up in camera roll.
At this point I am going to restore iPad2 to factory settings and sync from computer not backups and see what happens!

Muse slideshow not showing up on web site.

I'm using Mese Creative Suite 6, and I did a simple slideshow that shows up in Preview, but after uploading my site it doesn't show up in Opera, Chrome or Safari. I've cleared cache, but still no slideshow.

Make sure your slideshow images uploaded too. There will need to be the slideshow image + a thumbnail which MUSE creates and names with a code (if you used thumbnails).
Try this:
I have found that I sometimes need to manually put the images into my site's images folder first, then I build the slideshow linking the images from my Images folder into MUSE. Then again, be sure these images get uploaded to your server into the images folder.

Listening to Events from inside loaded swf

In Flash Builder 4 I have a swfLoader with which I load swf files. The swf files that get loaded get created in Flash Pro, and I would like to be able to listen for events from the level that they get loaded from. What would I have to specify in the Flash file for the path? Can't seem to be able to specify the right path.

I wouldnt say this is elegant but we have been having issues gaining direct access to the SWF's loaded in via OSMF. However I have done setups where I dispatch an event from a SWF and have it bubble up and catch it on the MediaContainer level. Not elegant but works- otherwise may need to make a custom MediaElement and bypass the SWFElement to gain tighter control - seems like there should be a better way, but I havnt found it.

Copying Events from Subscribed Calendars

I'm making the switch from Google calendar to all iCloud. One thing I miss from Google is being able to select an event from a calendar that I'm subscribed to and then copy that to my default calendar. I subscribe to multiple calendars and I don't need all the events from those calendars on mine. So I would periodically check those calendars and copy the events that I needed back to my calendar and then hide the subscribed ones. Unless I'm missing it, I haven't found a way to do that. Any ideas?

Figured it out all on my own. The easiest way to do it is to select the event, click and drag it up to the "calendars" box at the top left of iCal and then drop it into the appropriate calendar. It looks like it won't copy repeats, so if it is a repeating event you will have to manually put that in there.
