UNSPSC categorization

Hi
We are using classic scenario. We need to migrate source system(Oracle based) material master data to SRM product master. In source system materials are maintained as UNSPSC.
How we map UNSPSC categorization from source system to SRM product master?

Hello,
we are using UNSPSC in classic scenario.
You need to load material groups in backend and than load it to EBP. If you use UNSPSC codes you will get them in EBP.

Outlook categorize option disabled

Hi all,
I have a client of mine that uses Outlook 2013 that is synced with a corporate account that is hosted in google's services. The problem is that the categorize (with colours ) option is disabled. More specifically when doing right click in a mail there is not
such an option. Also when i add them to the ribbon there grey-out and i cannot click them.
I only tried the "Upgrade to Color Categories" option in the data file properties menu with no luck.
All this happened cause earlier his account was set up with GASMO and he experienced an error "Cannot display the folder. There is not enough free memory to run
this program. Quit one or more programs, and then try again" when he tried to open his email folders. With GASMO while it was working we could use the categorize with color options but then again we had the above error so i sync the account as
an imap and the problem solved but the again we have the categorise issue.
Please keep in mind that i do not want to use the POP protocol as is very irritating (it hasn't a sync with the server for any changes you make to mails in outlook).

Did you configure the email account via IMAP? Please note that IMAP account protocol does not support the category property. Since you don't want to use the POP protocol, you can either move the mail to separate folders to separate it or use Conditional
Formatting to highlight messages. To use Conditional Formatting, click View tab > View Settings > Conditional Formatting... See:

Multilevel Categorization in the normal Appointment View

Dear experts,
We're using CRM 7.0 SP3.
We're well aware that Multilevel Categorization as per Standard is supported in IC Webclient in Interaction Record View and not in the normal Appointment View (i.e. UI Component BT126H_CALL).
However we want to use Multilevel Categorization explicitly not with the Interaction Record but with the follow-up Appointments.
How do we implement this requirement?
We already enhanced the Component BT126H_CALL with a Custom-Controller ZBT126H_CALL/CUBTCategoriesCuCo and adjusted the Runtime Repository taking the Component BT116H_SRVO as an example. But we fail while trying to add BLOCK CategoryDDLB to our Configuration of the View BT126H_CALL/SCDetails - nothing in fact gets added.
We would highly appreciate any hints how to get our work finished.

I created Component Usage for BTCategories in ICCMP_BT_CAT. However, There was hiccup in the next step which stopped me from going further.
A new Context Node Z_MULTIL_CAT_APPLICATION (Value node) has to be added in order to have the Application of the Multilevel Categorization.There is one attribute called "application" with type Char length 30.
I could not understand these steps. However, I tried creating the context node with another name and the attribute as well with the same property as mentioned in the spec. Then also redefined WD_USAGE_INITIALIZE for the Component Controller of ICCMP_BT_CAT and put the mentioned code. Unfortunately, that dint help.
Also, do I have to create the component usage in ICCMP_BT_CAT or ICCMP_BT_INR?
Please advise.

Mac App Store categorization to open

I find the app categorization to broad/open for interpretation. For example I went looking in Graphics section and found video, as well as website development apps right next to product development apps. The result is lots of time spent looking for a specific category of app. I suggest either more categories or subcategories. Trying to search for an app by name is not much help, but type of app would be, i.e. video, CAD, 2D Graphics, 3D Graphics, etc. Please enhance the App store. Thank you.

How to sort on category id using categorization schema in SAP CRM 7.0

Currently we are using categorization modeler within CRM7.0 for complaint transactions. It seems that the sortation with respect to the categories which have been defined within a categorization schema, is based on the date that the categories were created (as per sap note 1423480). A business requirement is to have the categories sorted on category id instead of creation date of a category. Does anyone know how to implement this?

By standard this is not possible.
SAP recommended to arrange the desired sortation via BADI: CRM_BWA_MFLOW.
We will start implementing this in the upcoming weeks.

How to populate item category tree with UNSPSC codes?

I have created an application engine to read a UNSPSC code csv file and execute a component interface to load the item categories. I am having a problem updating the tree we use in ePro. Do I need to set up something before I run this? It looks like you can't add nodes if the category doesn't exist and you can't add categories to the tree if the node doesn't exist. We do not have Catalog Management installed.

Attribute categorization in the category modeler - IC WebClient

Hi,
in a customer project, I have created customer-specific categorizations in SAP CRM 5.0 (catalog, code groups and codes).
The first level contains in the category modeler the car brands (e.g. FIAT, BMW, AUDI; they are also assigned as subject codes).
The second level contains the parts (e.g. seats, enginges; they are also assigned as subject codes).
The last level contains the specific configuration of the parts in level 2.
Example:
Level 1: FIAT
Level 2: SEATS
Level 3: LEATHER
Level 1: BMW
Level 2: SEATS
Level 3: LEATHER
General settings are maintained on the tab General Data:
Identifier: AUTOMOBILE
Name: Automobile categories
Description: Automobile categories
Status: Draft
Logical Structure: Attributive categorization
Authorization Mode: AND combination
Remark: In the CRM customizing following settings are in subject profile:
Catalog: Y1 Car brands          Level 1
Catalog: Y2 Parts               Level 2
Catalog: Y3 Config               Level 3
In the category modeler I cant assign a duplicate entry. What must I do to make attributive categorization?

Hi,
I think you will have to maintain the same attributes at each level for duplicate selection .
Main Node if say is Product>subnode>seat--->Leather
Adjacent Node        Product 2 -->subnode >seat>Leather
Status release and save (24hrs)
with this you will be able to select seat and leather in both product categories

Your best bet is probably the return to Version 2 of Numbers, where Category View is an included option.
In Version 3, the best approach is to build a separate table in which to list the members of the categories and calculate the subtotals using LOOKUP and SUMIF expressions.

CATEGORIZATION using Alphabets in report

Hi,
I have a requirement in report where we need to rate the vendors based on quality and I need to categorize them using alphabets
E - EXCELLENT
G- GOOD
A- AVERAGE
P- Poor
Need to display these alphabets against each vendor based on their rating.
How could I achieve them.

You can achieve this by 4 RKF by restricting the categories as E G A P

Who do you categorize in Numbers 3.0

The most useful feature of Numbers in iWorks 9 was the Categorize feature. This alone made me switch over to Numbers from MS Excel. However now Apple has removed this feature in Numbers 3.0! How am I supposed to categorize with Numbers? Do I return to MS Excel and its Pivot Tables???

Just stay with Numbers 2.3. Nothing I have read indicates that it will be disabled any time soon. Apple may stop providing updates, and it may quit working in some future OS upgrade, but by then there may be a better alternative.

Service Ticket - Categorization Schema (Codes, Catalogs, Code Groups)

I have a Categorization Schema (attached to a subject profile used as categorization for a service ticket in CRM 2007 IC)
BMW
--- 3 Series
--- 5 Series
--- Z4
Mercedes Benz
--- C Class
--- E Class
--- S Class
I have
Catalog - "Cars"
Code Group "BMW" with it's Codes (2, 5, Z4)
Code Group "Mercedes" with it's Codes (C, E, S)
When I create the Schema each node asks me for a Subject Code. In the dropdown I get 2,5,Z4, C, E, S.
How do I just get it to show the codes in the subject code dropdown relevant to either BMW or Mercedes?

I can easily relate to your concern as i was also involved with the same.
Actually category schema will always give you list of all the codes because there is no heirarchy maintained. Hence , it is a one time activity wherein you will have to select the particular codes from the list of all codes for your schema heirarchy.
I gave the description to my codes to make it simpler..
ie..category 4 for me reads -->Cars-BMW-Z4
--->cars-MZ-C
This is just a help so that you can easily reach your correct code from the list of codes to be assiogned for your category modeler
this is one of the most laborious tasks, although it can be imported and exported.

SMTP store Driver: Message submitted to categorizer

Hi,
I have Ms Exchange 2003 sp2 running on Windows Server 2003 sp2. It started just today when users ( so far I know of two) send an email to a distribution list in outlook 2007, some of the users in the distribution list receive them, and others don't. On one
of these particular machines I have tried the same email a few times and the same users in the distribution list receive the email every time however, the other users in the distribution list don't. The sender's email is also in the distribution list but never
gets the email. if the user sends the email only to him self, it works.
So I started the investigation by looking at Message Tracking center where I realized that among the distribution list the same users kept getting the email while the others don't. This Exchange server has no email virus checking or anything else special
on it.
I see

and there is nothing more...no ndr's, no errors, it's like the message is lost in cyber company space.

Please try to check "Directory Access" following the steps below.
1. Open ESM, expand "Servers", right click on the server and select "Properties", click "Directory Access", select "Global Catalog Servers" from the dropdown and uncheck "Automatically discover servers" and add the GC manually.
2. Then please restart Exchange services.
If the issue persists, to narrow down the issue, I recommend you enable diagnostic logging for Message Categorizer. To enable diagnostic logging for Message Categorizer, you can do this.
1.Start Registry Editor: From the Start menu, click Run, and then type regedit.
2.In Registry Editor, locate and right-click the following registry key value, and then click Edit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ MSExchangeTransport\Diagnostics\Categorizer
3.Set the value to 7.
Then you can check the message tracking log to troubleshoot messages that are stuck in the categorizer.

Probelm checkin in a folder with content categorizer

Hello all
After i started to work with content categorizer i can no longer check in a folder (log will be attached in the next message)
This happen when i add the component that allow the content categorizer to check in automatically, when i remove the component i can check in folders.
The check in is done either by dragging a folder using the webdav, or by using a java service call to check in a folder, the folder is created empty and also generates an error. ( in webdav i receive a popop window that asks me to abort or try to resume which doesnt succeed)
I tried to customize the content categorize admin console, i defined rules for all the types of files i am working with, and i defined $$NONE$$ which regards (according to the documentation) to all the files that dont have a type in the system.
This is a development environment, but i need to install it within 2 days in a production system, so it is extremlly urgent

Multilevel Categorization Schema

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to create a report which shows category level 1, category level 2, category level 3. I found last hierarchy level data in table CRMD_SRV_SUBJECT. But i need to get data from category level 1 to the last category level. Heard that we need to retrieve data through UI classes. I didnt find any such classes in my search. Would be thankful if i get solution on this.
