UNSPSC code from SRM to PReq

The Manufacturing Part Number field on the purchase requisition (field name: MFRPN) is populated with the UNSPSC code for catalog orders from SRM. However, I am unable to bring this data over to the PO. I have checked config to make sure the field is not suppressed. While it is set as optional, no data is visible. Am I looking in the wrong place? How do I get the field from the requisition to populate a corresponding field on the PO?
We are not a manufacturing company so I'm not sure if there is something else I need to activate in order to populate the field.
Please Help!

Hello Monique,
what is your SRM scenario (classic, ECS ?) and SP level ?
You talk about PR: Are you working on ECC 6.0, with catalog integration in MM ?
If yes, this is an MM issue, and not an SRM one.
Try to post the same question in the ERP forum.
And check OSS notes for MM + MFRPN: there is a lot...
ex:
904632 ME21N: MFRNR not filled with info record data
823058 ME51N: MPN mat not deleted when you change source of supply
812809 External Mfg(EMNFR) not populated for internal material
744799 ME51N/ME52N: MPN material in PReq is overwritten
563965 MPN: Creation of Pur. Order with reference to a document

  • How to use UNSPSC code in SRM MDM ?

    Hi,
We are in migration from CCM 2.0 SRM MDM.
In CCM , we are uploading the catalogs with UNSPSC and material group. Either any one is mandatory.
If they give UNSPSC code in catalog, while uploading we are mapping to correspoding material group.
But in SRM MDM , we dont have UNSPSC table it self. We will create that table in main structure of MDM catalog.
But how to map the UNSPSC code to material group?
Mapping is available in SRM table.
    Please give me some ideas..

  • Tax code determination when a PO is created from SRM

    Hi Experts
I am using extended classic SRM 7.0
When a PO is transferred to the SAP backend system, sometimes the TAX code is different from what was supplied in FM BBP_PO_INBOUND.
It looks like; tax code determination in backend system determines a different code and does not use the tax code supplied when PO is created.
Is there a way to override this tax determination in backend system so that it uses the Tax code supplied rather than determine a tax code that is different?
This seems to be a problem when a new PO is created because when I change the PO and this sent again, the backend system is updated correctly with the Tax code supplied from SRM.
I hope some has come across this type of situation and can suggest something.
    Regards

I put your HTML page (TEST2.html) and CSS file (body_new.css) on my server and it looks OK.
    http://www.ossiningdesignguild.com/TEST2.html
It's possible your web server is not properly configured and sends a Content-Type HTTP header that says text/plain instead of text/css for your style sheet file.
If you're using Apache, have your server admin check the httpd.conf file for MIME type settings.
Should they need assistance, send them here:
    http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/configuring.html
This is not a problem with your main site since the CSS is embedded, rather than remote.

  • Attachment transfer from SH (SRM) to PReq (R/3) failed in one instance

    Dear Expers,
in SRM 7.0 Classic, I have come accross the following problem with the transfer of the attachments from the SRM Shopping Cart to the R/3 PREq:
This functionality is normally working absolutely fine but now there was one instance observed, where the attachment as such did not get tranferred from SRM to R/3.
In the PReq, that was created from this shopping cart in R/3, the document number for the attachment got created by the DMS, but if i look into the attachment window, than the actual file is not there.
I have checked the other R/3 documents before and after this one PReq and in those documents, the trasfer of the attachment worked fine.
Can anyone think of a reason for this unexpected behauviour?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
it is assumed, that at the certain point of time, when the PReq was creating from the Shopping cart, the document repository for attachem (KPRO) was down in R/3. I assume, that that was the reason for this one time unusual behaviour.
    Thank you.

  • Transfer attachment from SRM SHC to ECC PO

    Hi,
Im working on SRM 7.0.Classic scenario.I need to enable the transfer of attachments from SRM SC to R/3 PO.Can anyone explain the steps to achieve the above?
Also in case of extended classic scenario,is the attachment transferred automatically from the SRM Local PO to ECC PO?
    Thanks!
    regards,
    SRM Tech

    Hello SRMTECH,
You have to do some configuration settings in SPRO
    SPRO>Supplier Relationship Management>SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings>Define Settings for Attachments.
We are also working for the same requirement. We have did following configuration / customization to achieve this.
    - Activated BADI "BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW" in SRM and set the indicator as follow:
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_DOC_TYPE = 'SRM'.
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_storage_cat = 'DMS_C1_ST'.
    cs_ctrl_att-TRANSFER_ACTIVE = 'X'.
    - In ECC Side T.code DC10 and defined document type for SRM with following
Add a New Document Type SRM (if not already exists). Set 'Use KPro', 'Version Assign' and 'Change
Docs'. Set the Internal and External Number Range (02 and 01). Use MCDOKZNR as Number Exit.
Ver No. Incr = 1 and Set the File Size (Usually 10000000 bytes).
Once the Document Type is created, define Object links to PO Item and Pur Req Item. Use - Screen
Number 247 and Screen Number 248 with Valuation Object of EBAN and EKPO for Objects EBAN
(PReq) and EKPO (PO) for Doc Type SRM.
After doing this changes we were able to transfer attachements but we are still facing one issue as we were not able to open that particular document in ECC / R3.

    Hello Venkatesh P
    UNSPSC is complex code.
First two (may be three- i'm not sure) digits is material group number.
You should only analyze that and create as-is to-be  table for UNSPSC code->material group number relation

  • Map UNSPSC code to Material Group for punch-out catalogues

    Hi All,
can anyone share an experience with the best way of mapping UNSPSC codes to Material Groups for punch-out catalogues.
I've been looking at the Schema config under the Content Management section in  the IMG (Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Master Data > Content Management > Mapping for Schemas) but can't really find any docuemtnation to describe exactly how this can be used.
I guess the alternative option is to create a custom table and use the BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER BADI but if this can be done as standard using config rather than ABAP developemnt that would be a preferable solution.
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi,
Best way is to activate the BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER BADI. this encompasses or can be customized accordingly to
    1. To map UNSPSC with Product Categories/Material groups (however custom z table needs to be created which does the mapping)
    2. Some supplier catalogs will send  too much information, most of which is not necessary for SRM, here whatever is needed can be filtered out
This BADI overall enriches the data transferred from the supplier.
    hope this helps!
    Thanks,
    Prashanth

  • Populating data in R/3 PO from SRM PO

    Hi-
We are running SRM 4.0 in an extended classic scenario.  We are currently capturing the UNSPSC code in the MFR_NO_EXT field in the line item of the cart.  This data is flowing through to the same field on the line item of the PO in SRM.  However, when the PO is copied to ECC, I'm expecting this value to flow into EKPO-EMNFR field and it is not.  In fact, I don't see the data showing up anywhere on the ECC side.  We have never used this field in ECC, is there something I need to configure on the ECC side to make this happen?
I've also tried utilizing the BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK BADI and still do not get them results I'm looking for.  Can anyone help me understand what I'm doing wrong.
    Best Regards,
    Shawn

    Hi,
Try implementing the badi BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI in SRM or badi BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI in ECC.
Also have a look at these notes:

  • Different Tax codes in SRM PO and replicate ECC PO

    Hello Experts,
Problem related to the TaX code in replicated PO .
We are in Extended classic scenario.
In SRM, when creating Shopping cart we enter manual tax code like e1(20%) or e2(25%) etc and when PO gets generated and replicated in the backend the tax code changes from E1 to V4.
Now in SRM PO the tax code is E1 and in backend replicated PO the tax code is v4.
I have checked the condition records in MEK3 t-code in ECC and found that condition record for same region is v4, i think because of this condition record the system is overwriting the tax code which is coming from SRM system.
Irrespective of any tax code which is coming from SRM PO , the ecc PO overwrites the V4 tac code for same region.
How i can overwrite that the SRM and ECC should have the same tax code as chosed in SRM at the time of creating a SC or a PO
    Please help to accomplish
    Thanks

  • Sending PO's from SRM system

    Hi,
Though this is not an XI specific question, I hope you will be able to offer some help regarding this. We are building two interfaces for transmission and confirmation of purchase orders from SRM using proxies. We have created the relevant XI interfaces and ABAP proxies. We have also identified the classic BADI that gets invoked when the 'Send by XML' mode is selected by the user for a Purchase order.
The problem is we are unable to deduce how this BADI works due to scarce documentation. Hence though the operation is shown as correctly completed, there is no idea where the XML message is sent (definitely not in XI). We had only one option, i.e. to customize the BADI in Z code by copying almost everything and invoking the proxy once the PO is populated. However, the fieldnames of the proxy's PO structure (which we had imported from SRM business pack - PurchaseOrderMessage) and the fieldnames in the PO structure populated by the classic BADI are different. As an ABAPer has put it - "They appear to be the same structure but the names seem to have been changed when imported as XSDs"
Has anyone attempted a similar excercise or suggest some options?
    Regards
    Ganesh

    Hi Raj
I am using Standard Proxys in SRM. you have given Custmize outbound proxy example...
my requirement is how to trigger data in SRM for standard proxy PurchaseOrderERPRequest_Out_V1.
    Method is called PURCHASE_ORDER_ERPREQUEST_OUT.
    Thanks

  • R/3 Goods Receipt document from SRM.

We have a scenario where by a confirmation is entered onto SRM for a service by our dispatch clerk and this automatically creates a service entry confirmation and goods receipt document in R/3, that I can see in SAP transaction code MB03 and ML81N. The issue is that for the R/3 GR document and accounting documents that are generated in R/3 show systems user SRMRFCUSR as user who posted the GR & Confirmation and account documents.
Are any OSS notes or BADI codes available that would allow me to default through the SRM dispatch clerks user ID from SRM instead, i.e. CREATED_BY instead of SRMRFCUSR instead? We implemented similar logic for Purchase Orders in R/3 that replicated from SRM as they first showed system user WORKFLOW and OSS note 1180083 made it possible to display the actual user who entered PO document and not the system user between SRM and R/3.
    Thank you.

  • Passing CUF fields from SRM to ECC 6.0 and PO in Held status

    Hi All,
We are upgarding from SRM 5.0 to SRM 5.5 ( New system ) and 4.6C to ECC 6.0.
We have implemented classic scenario. All the codes (BADIs) have been copied to the new systems. We are facing two issues here
    1. CUF fields are not being passed to ECC 6.0
    2. PO in ECC 6.0 is in held status.
Regarding issue No.1, the CUF coding is in BADI BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK and I hope I dont have to do anything at R/3 end as it will be taken care of.
    Adding header details
    wa_ct_po_extension-structure = 'BAPI_TE_PO_HEADER'.
    WRITE po_number TO wa_ct_po_extension-valuepart1.

    write x_po_items-po_item to wa_ct_po_extension-valuepart1.
    write x_sc_item-zzreqno to wa_ct_po_extension-valuepart1+5(10).
    append wa_ct_po_extension to ct_po_extension.

Do let me know, if anything further has to be done.
Point 2. PO is in held status, any thoughts on this.

  • Database table/FM to find relation between plant and company code in SRM

    Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to determine the relation between the plant and company code in SRM.
The plant and company code both belong to R/3. We are replicating the plant by using the report BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL.
This plant is now available as a BP in SRM. But from which SRM table or using which SRM FM can I get the relation between this and the company code?
    Thanks,

  • Custom fields from SRM PO to R/3 - missing values

    Hi,
As part of the extended classic scenario  when the PO is being transferred to backend we are sending couple of custom fields ( added to append structure  CI_EKPODB in EKPO table )  in the item table .
We are doing this for ECC 6.0 and 4.7 backend versions.
ECC 6.0 works fine i.e, the custom fields gets properly replicated ( updated in EKPO table )
    4.7 --> It doesn't work.
In R/3 we have maintained the correct mapping in BBP_CUFMAP table.
Any ideas what is the issue with 4.7 version.
Note : SRM uses BAPI " BBP_PO_INBOUND"  FM in R/3 to replicate
    Thanks,
    Krishna.

    Hi Kumar,
Sorry for the late reply. I have the solution for this question.
For copying the custom fields code is to be written in the BADI "BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI", method "BBP_B46B_PO_OUTBOUND". This BADI has both ECC PO fields and all the SRM fields(including the custom fields added in PO and SC) in separate structures.IS_HEADER, IT_ITEM etc has all the SRM PO values. CS_BAPI_POHEADER, CT_BAPI_POITEM etc has ECC PO values.
There are two function modules, BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC and BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC_V2. Execute these function modules with the GUID for PO after PO change or create in SRM system. Once the FM is executed the BADI will be triggered and the additional functionality carried out and PO replication from SRM to ECC happens.
Hope this helps you. Please let me know if you need any more information.
    Thanks,
    Deepthi
