Played around with the beta bios tonight..using a 6X multiplier..got 487mhz fsb out of it..I'm pretty sure 500+ is out there, but my ram is dragging me down..lol.   Had .125v cpu, 1.4v NB and 2.0 SB all others auto to get to this point.

    Proxyma,
I have no idea of the NB temp?  MSI uses a temp sensor "near the middle of the motherboard".  System temp is typically 28-30C idle and 32-33C under load.  I dont think my NB ever gets too hot because it's watercooled along with the CPU.  The highest temp I've ever seen logged for the CPU was around 48C (during a Crysis benchmark run at max settings).

  • Beta BIOS and RAID 0 on 875P

I have problems with the maxtor HDs and the infamous B3P chip, but i can't get an RMA. I test with the beta bios 1.9B3 but the problem persist, neither the ICH5R or the Promise pass to the second part of windows XP install.
Is a must for MSI to get solved this problem ASAP, if possible to update the promise BIOS, may be will be an option for all with this problem.
Please MSI get this problem solved  :O

What other BIOS versions have you tried? I could not get RAID to work with 1.8b. BIOS 1.7 worked perfectly with my ICH5R RAID 0 and the Promise ATA-133.

  • Z77 mpower win8 features

    Hello!
I'm not able to enable "Windows 8 features" from the UEFI bios of Z77 Mpower!
I have installed windows 8 on GPT partition and set the boot option to "UEFI Hard Disk"
getting this error while booting up after enabling Win8 Features
I've found in the internet that Secure boot option must be disabled if running Nvidia videocard that has no UEFI bios! So yes, I have disabled it but still keep getting the error
    any solution for this?

    Thank you!
One question before flashing the new bios... Do I have to flash original bios backup again if i want to downgrade to windows 7
       Downgrade?
Win 7 there wouldn't have been a need for anything special to get that graphics card to work.

I have had this work before with no problems.  I was one of the first people to get a MSI Z77 Mpower board.  Never had this type of problem with any other BIOS. Problem started with 17.6 BIOS.  I have had all the BIOS flashed on my RIG since I have had it.
Not sure what the problem is.  Thanks for you help. Those over clocking charts are helpful but not specific to MSI Z77 Mpower mother board and the BIOS is different.  Not sure if they are updated to include the new CPU features of  "Hardware Prefetcher" item and "Adjacent Cache Line Prefetch"  that BIOS 17.6 started to use.

I think the new BIOS CPU features of "Hardware Prefetcher" item and "Adjacent Cache Line Prefetch" options are part of the problem. When I disable hardware prefetcher my memory performance shoots way down. BUGGY!!!!
I am unable to over clock my BCLK.   What is going on!!! HELP!!!

  • Problem with Big Bang z77 mpower and USB3

I built my pc last night and everything was working just fine. I have 3 external harddrives connected to the USB3.0 ports in the back. Last night, I was able to see all 3 (along with my 4 internal harddrives (1ssd, 3 hdd)). I turn it off for the night and then this morning, the only thing I was seeing was my internals. Nothing changed between then and now. I did see a UB91 in the device manager with a yellow triangle.. updated all my USB controller drivers via the downloads from MSi's website which got rid of the yellow device but my USB drives are still not showing. My USB2 ports seem to be working. My mouse/keyboard are connected to the ones in the back. I connected a thumb drive to the front ports of my HAF case (both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports) and it showed up in each one. Not sure why my back USB3.0 ports are no longer working.
Other parts in the build are:
    Intel i7 3770k
    2 x 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz
    nVidia GTX 680
Any ideas what I can do or if its a mobo failure?
Edit: Forgot to put I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.

Try opening an elevated cmd promt and manually typing the commands using the files from station drivers.
    Syntax:
    w200fw35 /srom 0 /writeall f401502.mem cfg.ini
if that one doest work, replace the other firmware: f302808.mem
I attached the package, just extract them somewhere easy to naviagate.
tried .. the two options .. always "dece not found"!

  • Msi p67a gd65 with p67a gd80 beta bios

    hi to everyone here,

i noticed that on the actual mobo it clearly states its a p67a gd65 i have verified this , its defnately a gd65
    how ever, cpu z detects it as a p67a gd80, also command centre detects a p67a gd80, bios version is : P67A GD80 10.3b2
so my mobo has a gd80 beta bios...
i do not know how it came about as im not owner from new
question 1 : all i need help with is flashing back to gd65 bios (bios  1.19 ]  , do i need to do a blind flash to force update ? and how do i do it ? because its gd65 not gd80
question 2 : and also how do i check if both bios chips were flashed to this beta bios ?
question 3 : do i flash both bios chips when i do the bios flash ?
question 4 : how do i switch between the 2 bios chips ?
sorry for all the questions, the main question is question 1
    thnx guys

In my experience, for a 2700k, UEFI/BIOS v1.H proved to be the very best one.
I would go ahead and use what P D says there, he did a lot of testing on his many builds the past few years and knows more about it that most other people.
What I had in my last reply was just the basic required info you needed to answer question about 2700K support after going through 1/2 dozen lists needed to find my info.

  • MSI Z77 MPower Bios - NO POST

    Hello,
Unfortunately today I stumbled upon a problem.. I was updating the Z77 Mpower bios and it all worked flawlessy for the bios update, when It restarted to update de ME it stopped at 68% and restarted by itself.. It's useless to say that the bios won't start, it does not even post...
The real problem is that this had happened to me a while back too with the other bios so both of them seem bricked
So is there any way to fix it? Since both updated completly the problem happened after a restart and when ME was updating.. It happened exactly the same way with both bios , when updating at 60% + the computer restarted itself and never started again..
Well I'm getting somewhat desperate as I'm in a need on this computer running..
Please tell me there's something that can be done, because I don't want to rma either as I'm in raid 0 and I'll be loosing all of my things..
    Thanks you, regards!

You could also buy a programmer and do it yourself.  I did when I bricked a board.  :-)
I got an SPI programmer based on the CH341A chip and in circuit programming clip for about $20 shipped from China.  Search for EN25T80 or spi programmer on eBay.  It will be less than $10 for a cheap programmer.  The downside is the long wait for shipping.
It turned out that in-circuit programming with a clip did not work on any MSI boards I had.  But connecting the programmer to the JSPI1 header worked perfectly.   The clip works fine with other board manufacturers.  It must have something to do with the way MSI has the bios chips wired.

  • [Z77 MPOWER] BETA UEFI Version E7751IMS.H83 Crashes

    Hello,
first thanks a lot for the great work on the Z77 MPower Beta UEFI´s, your work is much appreciated! I have upgraded from H82 to H83 and since I´ve done that and although I´ve set the exact same settings as before for every UEFI option (I´ve made screenshots of the previous settings and printed them so that I can set the exact same settings again after clearing the CMOS), with H83 Prime95 does not run stable as it did with H82. Before I was able to run Prime95 for 48 hours+ without problems, with H83, 3 to 4 threads of Prime95 "crash" with an error after just 9 to 10 hours (the temperatures of the CPU are absolutely fine), the other threads keep running though and the computer doesn´t hard crash or anything. So I´ve switched back to H82 and voila, Prime95 runs stable again for 51 hours so far with all threads going fine.
Sure it would be the easiest solution to just keep H82, but I wanted to inform the "modders" about this issue so that possibly new releases can be run fine again.
Thanks a lot and have a nice Sunday:)
    System Specs:
    I7-3770K Speedstep-Overclocked to 4.4gHz with VDroop Offset +75%
    16GB GSkill DDR3 2400Mhz RAM CL9 (not overclocked)
    Windows 8 X64

I don´t think that I would need an MSI engineer since I am referring to the BETA UEFI´s posted here by "Svet": https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=163872.msg1234274#msg1234274 and I guess he is doing those mods on his own, so this message was rather thought for him since I can´t post at that topic as it is locked.

  • Z77 mpower, hdb1 bios

control center keeps whining about intel me, reflash bios 4-5 times, using the usb tool, checked memory test 5,7 several times reports 8.1.50 for me in bios? what intel me version should i install in windows?

Did you use the tool AND the files here: >> BIOSes<<
What ME driver did you install? Might want to uninstall the ME driver from windows and reinstall the ME 8x version from intel downloads. I have had weird issues ever since installing ME 9xxx on these ME 8xx boards. (Since MSI posted the ME 9xx drivers on their webpage seemed logical to use them.)
always have used the forums usb tool. dont think its my flashes, but the intel driver? agree? i had 9.5 in. will try lastest 8? from intel. no mod? 1.5? 5.0? or just normal 8 latest?, trying normal 8 latest.
    trying 10/14/2013

just tried. still saying please replace me. i think i have try all 8/9 mes and nothing i think its control center problems not detecting newer bios's new changes. I have 2 z77 mpowers, one on hc0(latest official)
this z77 mpower is the latest beta hdb1, both same me firmwares even in the beta still same, but CC NEVER worked on the 8.1.50 fw(bios) i remember working on 8.1.40 fw(bios)

  • Problem with starting msi z77 Mpower

    Hello
i 've just bought a Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800W
    and a mobo msi z77 mpower(today)
    i have this problem
i have tested the psu with 2 different mobo (the msi stated before and a asus p8z77 v pro) and in both cases the psu fan runs for few seconds and the it stops.i have tried it with and without cpu , with and without case fans , i have the same problem it turns the fans for few seconds and then it stops as if dose not have enough power.
tested the psu with the paper clip test and it works , but when i put the 24 pin connectors and the 8 pin connectors on the motherboard it dosen't. Maybe i do something wrong ?
I've  speak with tech support from cooler master and it seems it's not the psu
honestly i don't know what eles to try /do
    can you help me?
    thank you in advance

To go a step farther, when the board is outside of the case, you should have a monitor connected to the onboard graphics or a discrete card, 1 stick of RAM in the primary DIMM slot, and CPU with it's cooler for initial startup. Be sure to test on a non conductive surface of unprinted plain cardboard or an untreated wood surface.

  • Z77 Mpower went Pssst with Smoke

After 4 months of flawless use, my Z77 Mpower died with smoke. Item under the cooling tubes to the left of the Processor toasted the board.
It's RMA'd. Question I have....will I have to reload Win 7 or will this be easy with a simple plugin the new Board ? Also I feel Cheated by MSI, my replacement board will be a Refurb, Kinda Cheap Warranty for a new board.

No new installation needed. Everything is the same in terms of your board replacement.

Can't comment. As long as the replacement does what your current board does, MSI has fulfilled their obligation.

  • 865 beta bios with raid 1

you will have to wait for joshin who i gave 875 bios to to put it on his server
but there should be a link here soon thanks to him
afraid i know nothing else re whats fixed in it
just resoponding to those who moaned in the beta 875 thread

I do like to thanks the programming team  of this Bios .
I have noticed  from the first minute , after installing it  , all the necessary voltage corrections , that this Bios includes  , and I totally agree with them .
At my board with 533 Bus based CPU chip , and by working as suggested at the turbo mode , the  AGP bus it is locked . ( In the 3Dmark 2003  ,got lower by a little  marks) .
I would suggest , one also voltage correction on the CPU core voltage , like setting it at 1.58 or 1.60 by default , any way  this is not a critical issue , as the CPU it is forgiving in the voltage hovering , but the rest sub system is not .
As  bug report , I have to say that the clock generator , in the Slow setting , clocks the CPU even higher than the 1.3 and 1.4 Ver bios ,   from 135.5  the new forced bus is like 138 Mhz .
But if the setting Turbo is set  , as the team suggests , everything is normal , like 135.5 Mhz .
With locked AGP , and the rest fixes .
In my system after of many hours testing , I found that this Bios works fantastic , and  there is Zero instability issues  . :D
I do not know if this is the right place to report this , but I have one small issue , with the on board NIC , my report  haves nothing to do with this Bios release .
So , here is the story  ,    in my setup  I have connected the NIC  with one Compex switching Hub  ,  when I power down my system  , the NIC it does not power down completely ,  and the result is that  the  Led  Port indicator  on the Hub,  indicates that the computer is On , or that the connection is active .
To be honest , the  NIC it does power down , but one second later , after the total system  shut down  procedure,  the NIC power up it self  , indicating 100Mbits connection  ..
The on board NIC Led indicator  becomes active,  and accordingly my Switching Hub , indicates  a live connection at 100 Mbits .
Is this normal ?? I guess, is not .  ?(
Is there any tip that I should know , if there is not one , I would like to add this in my wish list , of what it would  be nice to be included in the next official or Beta Bios update .
I would like to say one Big Thanks to the MSI programming Team , I know that they  hiding  around this forum , thanks again people .
I wish you all the best , and ask some extra money for MSI for your overtimes too , you worth it .  8)
