Unsupported Data Configuration

Hi all,
After I got my MSI GF4 Ti4400 I installed XP Home on one of my drives, (I have three) and since XP would not run  some of my games, I reformatted and reinstalled 98SE. I have my drive cloned on another drive for backup.
Anyway, it might be coincidence, or it might be card related, but when I reboot, the first time I get an error message (Unsupported Data Configuration) and my system shuts off. Turning it back on, it will work fine, but every time I reboot, the first attempt fails and the second attempt works fine.
Any clues ? Can this be BIOS related?
System:
Asus A7M266
256 Mb Crucial DDR
3 WD drives (13.6, 20, 60 Gb)
MSI GeForce4  Ti 4400
crappy onboard sound(will eventually get a Turtle Beach)
XP 1800+
Also, what are the best BIOS settings for this card?
Thanks in advance! :P

I'm not sure if the BIOS is at fault or if it's just some leftover from the XP installation,or if it's the card's configuration. I think since I formatted the drive, it should have wiped out all traces of XP, or does XP put crap on your other drives (not the one it's installed on)?
I thought a fresh clean install would solve the problem, but it didn't. SE had no problems with it before. That's what makes me think it might be a small problem with the card.

  • Live migration to HA failed leaving VHD on local storage and VM in cluster = Unsupported Cluster Configuration

    Hi all
Fun one here, I've been moving non-HA VMs to a HA and everything has been working perfectly until now.  All this is being performed on Hyper-V 2012R2, Windows Server 2012R2 and VMM 2012R2.
For some reason on the VMs failed the migration with an error 10608 "Cannot create or update a highly available virtual machine because Virtual Machine Manager could not locate or access Drive:\Folder"  The odd thing is the drive\folder is
a local storage one and I selected a CSV in the migration wizard.
The net result is that the VM is half configured into the cluster but the VHD is still on local storage.  Hence the "unsupported cluster configuration" error.
The question is how do I roll back? I either need to get the VM out of the cluster and back into a non-HA state or move the VHD onto the CSV.  Not sure if the latter is really a option.
I've foolishly clicked "Ignore" on the repair so now I can't use the "undo" option (brain fade moment on my part).
Any help gratefully received as I'm a bit stuck with this.
    Thanks
    Rob

    Hi Simar
Thanks for the advice, I've now got the VM back in a stable state and running HA.
Just to finish off the thread for future I did the following
    - Shutdown the VM
    - Remove the VM from the Failover Cluster Manager (as you say this did leave the VM configuration intact)
    - I was unable to import the VM as per your instructions so I copied the VHD to another folder on the local storage and took a note of the VM configuration.
    - Deleted the VM from VMM so this removed all the configuration details/old VHD.
    - Built a new VM using the details I saved from the point above
    - Copied the VHD into the new VMs folder and attached it to the VM.
    - Started it up and reconfigured networking
    - Use VMM to make the VM HA.
I believe I have found the reason for the initial error, it appears there was a empty folder in the Snapshot folder, probably from an old Checkpoint that hadn't cleaned up properly when it was deleted.
The system is up and running now so thanks again for the advice.

  • Boot data configuration missing or with errors

I have a Satelllite L870-15W, and no way to turn the system on.
All it says is "Toshiba" (the welcome screen) and then (after having pressed f8 or f9):
    file: efi/micorsoft/boot/bcd,
    status 0x0000001;
the boot configuration data for your or is missing or contains errors.

boot data configuration missing or with errors
It probably means the BCD is missing or corrupt.
To repair this, you need to access the recovery environment. Microsoft says Windows 8 will eventually take you there if it fails to boot many times. You can also get there using a System Repair Disc or a Windows 8 installation DVD like this downloadable one. You need the 64-bit disc.
It's possble this will also work on your Toshiba machine. Restart the computer by pressing the power button and immediately start tapping the F12 key until the Boot Menu appears. Using the arrow keys, select <HDD Recovery>.
WinRE looks like this. Select Troubleshoot and then Advanced options.
Lots of things to try. See KB2622803 for boot sector problems. The article assumes Windows Vista/7. The same fixes look different in Windows 8, but are all available.
If Automatic Repair (Startup Repair in 8.1) and System Restore fail, use the bootrec tool at the command prompt. This applies to Windows 8 also.
Use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issu...
Don't give up until you have tried replacing the BCD itself as follows. (Sometimes the partition is not named "c" and you need to try another letter.)
       c:
       cd boot
       attrib bcd -s -h -r
       ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old

  • 'unsupported data type' in interactive report

    Hi,
I try to download a file from a link of an itneractive report.
In the "report attributes" section of the interactive column, I have defined in the link section of a column the 'Target' as 'URL', and the URL as this :
DOWNLOAD:CONVENTIONS:#FILE_BLOB#:#ID#::#MIME_TYPE#:#FICHIERS#:#LAST_UPDATE#::attachment:ConvWhen I run the interactive report, the link show this :
    download:CONVENTIONS:[unsupported data type]:188:::C22.pdf:::attachment:Conv
The table "CONVENTIONS" is defined like this :
    "ID" NUMBER NOT NULL ENABLE,
    "FICHIERS" VARCHAR2(2048 BYTE),
    "FILE_BLOB" BLOB,
    "LAST_UPDATE" DATE,
    "MIME_TYPE" VARCHAR2(255 BYTE)
    Where is my error ?
Thank for your kind help !
    Christian

    Hi Christina,
sorry the wizard you have to use is the "Form > Form on Table with Report", because the normal create interactive report wizard allows to enter a query.
After you are done with the wizard, have a look at the generated SQL statement (it has to use the dbms_lob.getlength) and the value in "Number / Date Format" for that column.

  • Unsupported Cluster configuration.

    Hi
Im getting below error on refershing the host cluster I get below error . I have 2 hosts in the cluster and VMs report unsupported cluster configuration. SCVMM 2012 SP1 dont seem to see the Logical Switches . Although Upon restarting WMI Services on the
host seem to fix the issue but after couple of weeks time I get the same error again. Upon doing some research I suspect when NIC Team moves the VNICs around and SCVMM agent doesnt get the latest information and therefore shows this error .
Solutions I have applied so for and get no joy are below
    1. No snapshots are saved
    2. No ISO files are mounted
    3. VSS service set to manual
    4. Host switches have same name
    5. all VHD files are stored on CSV Volumes.
    6. Set one NIC in team as standby because MAC Address of the host management network  is same as physical address as I have inherited the settings while creating logical networks.
    Can Anyone please help

    Hi Ed -
    thanks for response
Although the other thread is referring to same error . I have already read that thread before starting a new one. This has been a known issue from 2008 R2 era . I have updated my SCVMM 2012 SP1 to rollup 7 but still seem to be an issue somewhere .  I
can confirm that DNS server are same on both the hosts .
Does anyone think of anything else . Im happy to post the logs if anyone knows .
    Thanks

  • Unsupported VM configuration.

I've been looking through every reference I can find regarding this error but have not been able to come to anything that has helped yet.
Configuration:  4 Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter with Hyper-V, 256 GB.  VMs are stored on SMB3 shares.  Have two physical disks - witness and CSV.  About 30 VMs spread across all nodes.
SCVMM 2012 R2 with UR4.  Configured in HA mode.  Each has 4 vCPUs and 8GB of fixed memory assigned.
SQL Server 2012 SP1 4-node cluster. Each has 16 vCPUs and 16 GB of fixed memory.  Cluster has all the databases installed for a full System Center deployment.  All databases and log files are stored on SMB 3 shares except for SQL Server Analysis
Services.  SSAS does not yet support SMB storage so I configured two shared VHDX files on the CSV for this purpose.  The SQL cluster also serves as the highly available file service for the VMM library.  This is another shared VHDX file on the
    CSV.
Everything had been working fine.  I was able to live migrate VMs across all nodes and all SQL instances across all SQL nodes.  Was not having any issues.
Yesterday at some time the four SQL VMs changed status within VMM to "Unsupported VM Configuration".  All other VMs are reporting fine.  The SQL VMs are running just fine.  Everything in Hyper-V Manager and Cluster Manager works
fine.  The problem seems to only exist in the 'mind' of SCVMM.  I've tried stopping/starting the VMs.  I've tried rebooting the hosts.  I've refreshed after any change and these four SQL VMs just seem stuck in an unsupported configuration.
I can call up the properties of the VMs, but they show a bogus configuration.  It shows a single vCPU instead of the 16 that are assigned, yet it does show the 16GB of memory associate.  It shows a SCSI controller (Gen 2 VM), but no devices, whereas
from the cluster or Hyper-V managers the proper drives are shown as configured.
Nothing I have tried has cleared this. Looking for additional suggestions - even if it means going into the SQL database and clearing it out (for which I would need detailed instructions).  I've seen VMM get things in its database improperly in the
past that could be cleared only by going directly against the database.
    . : | : . : | : . tim

I'll have to tuck that one away for future reference.  After spending hours on it, I think I cleared it up.  The interesting thing is that it did not clear up as soon as the 'fix' was in place, but it is the only thing I can think of that made
    a difference.
The SQL VMs that were showing 'unsupported VM configuration' each had three NICs defined.  Two NICs were actively being used - one was the cluster and client access NIC and the other was an SMB NIC to access storage.  The third NIC was in there
for a potential configuration change.  The third NIC was not assigned to an switch - in other words it was showing up in the VMs with disconnected media.  No big deal, I thought, I've had that in lots of VMs with nary an issue in the past.
The only difference was that even though it was not assigned to any switch, I had selected the option for VLAN tagging and a tag was set.  Again, no big deal, or so I thought.  I finally decided to remove the unassigned NIC.  Removed it from
all VMs and refreshed SCVMM.  No change.  But, I come back this morning, and all the VMs are reporting fine.  Evidently some other 'refresh' over night took the latest change into consideration.
Chalk it up to another one of SCVMM's idiosyncratic behaviors.  This is not the first time I have spent a lot of time attempting to trace down something SCVMM thinks is wrong but Hyper-V and Clustering have no issues with it.
Thanks for a new way to try.  As I say, I'm going to try to tuck that one away for future use.

  • Spatial data in Eclipse Galileo - Unsupported data type

    Hi
I am using Eclipse 3.5 Galileo. I have data stored in Oracle 10.2 tables containing columns of type SDO_GEOMETRY. When i try to open the tables (in Eclipse Data Debug perspective) i get an error unsupported data type. Obviously this is caused by the SDO_GEOMETRY.
Can anyone tell me the plugin that i need for reading and tabular display of the tables containing columns of spatial type ?

    Hi, thank you for replay.
I have a Google Map tile layer. I'm building an HTML document that contains it. I want to represent geometries on. Geometries has been built taking coordinates from Google Map. I implemented this function to show the coordinates of the Google tile layer, where the mouse is:
    +...+
    mapview.addMapTileLayer(GoogleMapTileLayer);
    +...+
    mapview.attachEventListener(MVEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, mouseMove);
    +...+
    function mouseMove()
    +{+
    var mouseLoc = mapview.getMouseLocation();
    var locStr = mouseLoc.getPointX() ', ' + mouseLoc.getPointY() ;+
    +     document.getElementById("mouseMove").innerHTML= locStr;+
    +}+
But coordinates I'm seeing with this function are not the same displayed by Google Map and I need it. And I think it's a problem of SRID because it is projected in EPSG:3857 ¿no?. But I want to project the Google Map tile layer in EPSG:4326, that is, the same Google Map SRID.
It is an Oracle Maps application with a MVGoogleTileLayer and the data to be displayed are in some ThemeBasedFOI.

  • Cellular data configuration on Iphone 5

    Hi,
I would like to configure my cellular data configuration so I can start using 3G.
Im with O2 carrier and live in UK.
Does anybody know the exact settings ??
    Thanks

O2 have a number of plans and each has different APN Settings. The details APN set is idata.o2.co.uk I think,  but if you are using a Pay Monthly Account then the APN is mobile.o2.co.uk. The iPhone has no way of knowing what plan you are so uses the default one.
    So what do you do?
Go to http://www.unlockit.co.nz on your iPhone  - Choose  Country of United Kingdom  and Carrier of O2 (Pay Monthly) and it will install the Correct APN for your Plan. (or the hard way - download the Apple iPhone Configuration Utility, Install it, Work out how to run it, work out what settings you need to put in it and install it)

Blackberry's require a specific Blackberry Data Plan in order to function properly where the information is pushed from your service provider to the phone in the form of "Service Books".
Without those service books you will be unable to use the majority of features on your phone - and as you have said your carrier does not support Blackberrys then I would imagine they do not offer a Blackberry Data Plan.

  • MAX newbie confused on data configuration

I'm trying to get a handle on an existing application that was written before I was hired.
I have a test Fieldpoint rig setup about the same as the production unit. I am able to communicate with the Fieldpoint in MAX and query it with LabWindows/CVI.
If I go into MAX and change the data configuration range from 0 to 20 volts to -120 volts to 120 volts, the reading in MAX doesn't change. Also, the value I read in LabWindows/CVI doesn't change either. I am hitting the Apply button.
So is this range adjustment used anywhere, or is it just for documentation?
(Attached is a screen capture of the value I am changing)

    MAX1.JPG ‏66 KB

Is your analog input within the ranges that you are defining?  Are you changing the analog input between configuration changes?  Let's say you are putting in 10V,  it's within range of 0--20V.  It's also within range of 0-120V.  So you should be able to read the value with either range.  Of course with the larger range, you will have a little worse accuracy and/or resolution.  If you were trying to read 30V, then you wouldn't be able to read it at all with the 0-20V range, but would be able to read it with the 0-120V range.

  • Data Configuration in OWB

Hi all, i'm newbies in Oracle Warehouse Builder.
I need to trace data depedency from table target. If I wanna see the source table from the table target I should use lineage tools right.
Know it's writen to be default configuration. So how that data comming from ? Just not knowing what is default configuration is.
I just know if I using lineage there would be mapping that create that table target.
Just anyone tell me what is default configuration in Lineage tools.
    Thanks,
    Regards
    George Felix

    Hi George,
in owb you may have different configuration for different environments like test and production. You may set properties like parallel mode different for each configuration, i.e. for each environment. This influence is displayed in the lineage diagram. But configuration do not have any influence on the logic of the data flow!
Even if you do not use different configurations, you have a least one: the DEFAULT_CONFIGURATION.
If you do not know what configurations are you probably don't need them right now and you can just ignore the "default configuration" in the lineage diagram.
