Unsync iPhone with iPad. Please help

My iPad mini asked if I wanted to use my iPhone phone number. I said yes. I'm new to apple products. Nowy iPad mini has my iPhone phone number. When I text from my iPad mini, it says it's being sent from my iPhone and Not from my iPad. Anybody know how to switch unsync? Get my Ipad mini own phone number back?

As long as they are compatible (i.e. you have the relevant iOS version and they aren't some of the few iPhone-only apps) then you can sync them to the iPad from your computer's iTunes or re-download them for free directly on the iPad : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
Unless they are 'universal' apps (i.e. they have a '+' symbol against them in the store) then they will only take up an iPhone sized portion of the iPad's screen, unless you press the '2x' button which will appear on the screen which will effectively double the size of each pixel in both directions (so therefore may appear pixelated).

If you are the original owner of the phone and know the Apple ID and password that were used to activate it originally, and if you have an existing backup to restore from, you can force it into recovery mode (which will completely erase it) and restore it as explained here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. When you do you will encounter activation lock, and will have to provide the ID and password used to activate it originally in order to activate it again. If you can't, you won't be able to activate and use it.

I've got the same problem and no one is answering to it. call up the apple support and waited for almost 30mins before i can get help, after an hour they only keep asking me for account emails and stuff, end up getting nothing solved. Sad!

Delayed write failure with iPad - please help

Hi, I have an iPad (original) that I picked up used recently. After a week or so of use, I'm now getting a "Delayed Write Failure" whenever I connect it to my PC. Here are the details:
1) I am not synching music, only email, apps and photos.
2) when I connect my iPad, I get a delayed write failure on F:\$Mft. (F is one of two external USB drives I use). Once this error happens my "F:" drive is no longer usable. The drive itself still shows up in Windows Explorer but it will not show the folder structure,
3) I need to shut down my computer, unplug my "F" drive, let it sit for a few minutes, then Re-boot my PC and re-attach my F: drive to get it operational again.
4) After this happened the first time, and I was able to figure out how to get my F drive back to normal, I ran it for two days connected to a different USB port using a different USB cable and it worked fine. Then I used the old USB cable but the different USB port for another 2 days and no problem. I then went back to the original USB cable and original USB port for 2 days and still no problem. If I run iTunes with out the iPad connected there is not problem. Only when I connect the iPad does this problem occur, even before I ask iTunes to do anything like synch.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Something really worng with ipad, please help!

so ive had my ipad since decmber and already theres something wrong with it. i was just scrolling through my apps when all of a sudden my ipad flashed onto a blue screen and then just stayed onto a dark blue/black screen. i tryed turning it off and when it did the apple logo appeared and then it just went dead. my ipad now wont turn on at all and i dont know what to do with it ? ive tryed the trick where you press the home and lock button but nothing happened. someone please please please help as ive only had this ipad for a few months and woud hate to get rid of it

Syncing iphone with Outlook, please help

I have been with Apple support on the phone, but so far they can't help me. my contacts sync to Outlook Express(old version from when I used to have dial up) but the calendar (Outlook 2003) doesn't sync either way..from pc to phone or phone to pc. Does anyone have a clue why it's not working for me? I think there is a conflict with having both Outlook Express and Outlook... but I don't know how to remove Outlook Express... it's not listed in the Add/Remove list. Could some really savvy techie help me? Thanks for listening!

hey walter25 thanks for the info... I ran through that link and of course Outlook Express cannot be deleted without a lot of hassle... I am not that tech savvy. But I really feel the iphone software is recognizing outlook express and not outlook... and that's why it synchs contacts to express and my calendars don't sync because express has no calendar... I would greatly appreciate and more thoughts you have on this problem....jojoanie

sorry to tell you but you've done exactly the wrong thing trying to fix the problem. It's extremely unlikely that your problems were caused by a fault in the application itself. They were almost certainly caused by a bad preference file (may be more than one) in your home directory or an application conflict with something else like a bad plugin. Normally, it's easy to reinstall safari from the leopard install DVD. open the DVD in finder, go to optional installs and double-click on Optional Installs.mpkg. Follow the instructions and on the screen with the choice of software to install choose safari. after you are done you'll need to rerun the 10.5.3 combo update and possibly safari 3 update to bring safari up to the current version. This might fix it. However, because you used AppDelete it might not fix it as it may have deleted various necessary system files when you deleted safari.

The iPad receives Text Messages through Apple's iMessage feature. Make sure this is turned on on your phone. Also, text messages received at your phone number are not shared with the iPad. Make sure that iMessage texts are being sent to your EMAIL ADDRESS

- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem
