Untitled Account in Calendar on iPhone

I know that people have tried to ask this question but most of the answers I have gone for have failed!
Anyway, I have got two calendars on my iPhone that appear under the title of "Untitled Account". All kinds of re-setting, syncing etc have failed to remove them! My wife also syncs her 3GS iPhone through the same MobileMe account (need the same contacts etc but not separate emails/extended space) but the untitled account does not show up.
Both [Untitled Account] calendars show up only on my iPhone and nowhere on the MobileMe account, iCal or on my wife's iPhone. I know it is only a small irritation as I don't have to view those calendars by only viewing the MobileMe ones...
A start to the problem could be that I changed the names of the calendars in iCal as it is the "old" names that appear. Pre MobileMe, about a week or so ago, I synced through iTunes. I have looked at the iTunes settings and I am only syncing through the air now...
Any help would be appreciated. Short of taking the iPhone back to factory settings I cannot see what to do, and don't fancy this unless someone can assist in backing up all the apps and user data from those apps etc so I can have the iPhone as it is now without the blasted calendars!

I'm seeing this same issue.
Before removing my mobileme account from my iphone, I actually saw 3 instances of my mobileme calendars. In trying to remove them, I've now got an "Untitled account" that contains all my mobileme calendaring, but isn't actually tied to anything.
This has to be a bug in 3.1...

  • How do I remove "Untitled Account" Calendar after iCloud update ?

    Hi,
I have noticed that after I  upgraded my MobileMe account to iCloud, that my calendar on the iPhone is full of duplicate entries.
This seems to be down to a copy of my Old MobileMe calendar, and now its called "Untitled Account"
I have read suggestions that i should add MobileMe back to my phone, and turn of calendars to delete this, but I can't add it back, as it just says its already been migrated to iCloud.
Does anyone know how I can remove this calendar ?
    Thanks,
    Keith

I was having the same problem and even started deleting some of the double entries. I went into the "calendars" tab on the top left of the screen inside the calendar app and found that the appointments from my Mac calendars were being displayed along with (scroll down) all the appointments from the iCloud calendars (which are a mirror or backup of the appointments from my Mac). I turned-off the iCloud calendars and the problem was fixed. I guess if I am coordinating appointments from several devices (iPhone and iPad or several family iPhones) I would just leave the iCloud calendars on and turn off my Mac calendars. Otherwise, I'm not sure what's happening here. Any other ideas?

  • Untitled Account Calendar

I just purchased an iphone 3gs to replace a 2 y/o original iphone. I am at my wits end: The calendar that i have been using on my phone is titled 'Calendar' in the Untitled Account page. I have been unsuccessful in getting Office 2007 to create this particular calendar - Office seems to only see the calendars in 'From my PC'. My goal was to upload the calendar via itunes to Office 2007 and then download that calendar via itunes to my new iphone. This is what i have tried thus far:
    1. I have reset the sync history through itunes.
    2. Upon syncing the phone, a warning window popped up and indicated that over 2400 calendar items on the PC were going to be changed, however the two calendars on Office ('Calendar' and 'Outlook Calendar') appear to remain unchanged.
    3. Have updated both phone and itunes with latest software.
I used to have MobileMe running but found that it was not syncing my calendars effectively - it seems to have created these additional unauthorized calendars. So, does anybody know how to get the data off of my original so that i can download it to the new iphone? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
    Much thanks in advance!

  • Calendar in Iphone not syncing with Mac or Mobile Me

All of my calendar entries on my IPhone are in a calendar that shows up under Untitled Account. It wont sync with either my Mac or Mobile Me and I have tried every setting I know how. This has happened since I updated to 3.0.
Any suggestions on how to move this to one of my existing accounts that do sync?
Any help would be most appreciated.
    Cheers
    Kevin MacAfee

    Kevin,
Open "Settings" on the iPhone>Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks>Accounts>your MobileMe account and turn off the Calendar, when prompted delete data, wait two minutes turn Calendar back on, and when asked merge the data. Wait patiently, and hopefully you will be able to regain sync functions. If you are able, I recommend using a Wi-Fi connection to make the change
AFAIK, the merge function will incorporate calendars on your iPhone and MobileMe.
If you are not confident with that answer, be sure to try MobileMe Support and select the appropriate country/language, choose "Syncing with MobileMe," select "Troubleshooting MobileMe Sync issues," and then select "Chat Now."

  • ICal Siri & Untitled Account

I have for some time had an untitled account for iCal on my IPhone 4S (but nowhere else) which I have cleared down so that it is empty.  However, like many others I have failed to remove it.  I find Siri excellent for making appointments, but all new entries go to the untitled account, which is deselected on my IPhone, it then does not sync with ICloud as it does not show up there.  Does anyone know how you can change the destination of any Siri made appointments so that it will sync with ICloud?  Also has anyone found a way to remove the untitled account?

I have now been able to resolve the issue of the untitled account.  First, make sure there are no appointments made showing in the untitled account.  If so, transfer them to your regular calendar.  Then start by removing each calendar one at a time (by swiping right and going to the bottom of the page to delete).  Sometime I had to close the app and reopen it again to make it delete.  The only difficult one was "Calendar" which stubbonly refused to go.  It tended to freeze the screen which prompted a Home and On/Off reset.  I had to try this four or five times before it was finally deleted.  Now I just have the one diary, which syncs without problems with ICloud, and also allows me to make appointments using Siri.

  • How do i share a calendar between iphone and ipad

I have an iPad 1 and my wife has an iPhone4.  Both devices are running iOS5.01.  I want to share the calendars so that we can both see each others' calendars.  In iCloud we are using the same Apple ID for both devices to facilitate a storage account.
Calendars are turned on in iCloud in each device.  The iPhone can see calendar entries from the iPad but the iPad does not see calendar entries from the iPhone.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?
When I go into iCloud Calendars are ON for both devices.  But how does this relate to calendars in Settings-Mail, Contacts and Calendars that are listed under iCloud and also under all email accounts on the device.
Am I the only one who finds this very confusing?

A couple of more points.  When I log into icloud.com I only see the iPad calendar entries, not the iPhone entries.
Is the calendar tied to the Apple ID to an email address or what?  The iPhone did have a Mobile Me account but I deleted that since it wasn't being used and that didn't change anything.
Note that Photo Stream is turned on and works perfectly between both devices and also Windows PC.

  • Multiple Exchange and other Accounts - Can Calendars Sync Individually?

I currently sync mail with my iPhone 3G (4.2.1) with two Exchange Servers, gmail, hotmail, gmx, AOL and Yahoo!. I maintain real calendars on both Exchange Servers (but not on the other accounts). Don't know whether it's relevant, but the two Exchange Servers sync via EAS, and they're on different domains. I sync calendars only with one of the Exchange accounts.
I need to - ideally - sync calendars with both Exchange Servers such that my iPhone has all my information, but I don't want calendar info from one Exchange Server to appear on the other one's calendar. I can live with inputting all calendar data into one server or the other (i.e., not entering any calendar data directly on the iPhone), but I'm afraid that once I add the second Exchange account's calendar to the iPhone, all my appointments will appear in both Exchange Servers' calendars.
    Will this work?? Thanks!

The PlayBook does not "sync" email locally to the device - this is one of the selling points to the corporate world.
When you bridge the PlayBook to a Blackberry it pulls the information from the Blackberry in real time, as soon as the Blackberry is disconnected the information disappears from the Playbook so you shouldnt have any issue bridging two blackberrys,

  • I can't add a new event to my calendar on iPhone.

I can't add a new event to my calendar on iPhone. The plus sign is greyed out and even when I try it with Siri it says "Sorry. I can't do that right now". I did my due diligence and searched all over the forums and internet and I can't fix this. There was a listing in a forum where a lady had this same symptom but it looks like toggling iCloud worked for her. Not for me. I went into Settings>iCloud and turned off Calendar and then turned it back on. Still nothing. I even went to iCloud Backup and turned it on then back off and still nothing. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

See if you can go to your Calendars App and select a previous event to see what Calendar the event was added to (iCloud or Yahoo). After that is determined you can go to www.iCloud.com or calendar.yahoo.com and add the event there to see if it will populate on your device. Another troubleshooting step is deleting the iCloud account from your device and also deleting the Yahoo account. Then check to see if you can add an event without it syncing to a email. If you can then it may have just been a bug and you can add both accounts back and try adding the event again. I would also recommend only using one service to sync your Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, etc. Such as either iCloud only or Yahoo only, as using multiple accounts means your data is spread around and can be hard to isolate when something goes wrong.

  • Calendar on iPhone not syncing with iCloud

The calendar on my iPhone experiences scrambled dates, multiple entries for the same event and does not show iCloud as a calendar in the list of calendars, only my old @me.com calendar. Calendar and iCloud work fine on my Mac & iPad, just not my phone. Any suggestions? CD

You need to delete the old me.com calendar account, and ensure that Calendar is switched on in the iCloud account settings on your iPhone.

  • Why don't changes I make to calendar on iPhone appear on iCal or iCloud calendar?

Objective: make changes to calendar on iPhone (iOS 5.0.1), iPad (iOS 5.0.1), iCal (on MAC with 10.7.3) that automatically sync with each other through iCloud.
I had a MobleMe account and moved to iCloud. However, when I make changes to my calendar on iPhone or iPad they do not appear in iCal on MAC or on iCloud calendar.
As an aside, when I make changes to iCal or on iCloud they do appear on iPhone if I connect it to iTunes.
Ive been searching through forums and trying different things all day & still can't figure it out.

  • How do I sync Outlook calendar with iPhone?

I am using Outlook 2011 on my laptop for my yahoo account. I receive all mail via Outlook and I use the calendar feature on Outlook as well. I set up the yahoo account also on my iPhone 4. I have no problems receiving/sending emails but I cannot figure out how to [wirelessly] sync the calendar from Outlook to the iPhone. Does anyone know if it can be done? And if so, how?  Thank for the help.

Synchronization of calendars between Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and your Apple iPhone or iPod touch requires Apple iTunes. You can configure which items are synchronized during a one-time set up process. Good luck with your Mac!
After the initial setup, each time that you connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer, the changes made on your computer or device are synchronized.
Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer using the cable provided with your device or by placing the iPhone or iPod touch in the Apple Universal Dock.
iTunes opens automatically when connected to your computer.
In iTunes, in the source list, under Devices, click the entry for your iPhone or iPod touch.
    Click the Info tab.
Under Calendars, click Sync calendars from, and then click Outlook.
    Do one of the following:
To synchronize all calendars, click All calendars.
To limit the calendars that are synchronized, click Selected calendars, and then click the calendars you want to synchronize.
NOTE   To select multiple calendars, press CTRL as you click each calendar name.
    Click Apply.

how can i transfer my calendar from iphone to macbook? Sync is not working!, how can i transfer my calendar from iphone to macbook? Sync is not working!

If the calendar is connected to a server account, like Exchange, you cannot sync via iTunes. You need to connect to the server on your MacBook.
If it is not connected to a server account then you need to ensure syncing is set up in iTunes. This is in the Info tab for your selected phone in iTunes.

  • HT201320 How do I set up my iCloud email account on an OLD iPhone w/ OS4.X?

    Hey everyone,
My iPhone 4S got stolen, and I don't qualify for an upgrade for one more month.  So I've reverted to my old 3G iPhone.  The rep at ATT told me NOT to upgrade the OS - that it would make this thing run slower than molasses.  SO, I've only synced the super important stuff and am operating under OS 4.2.1.  However, when I go in the Mail section to set up my ME account and calendar, the only option is MobileMe.  I gave MobileME my iCloud credentials, and all it does is allow me to turn in Find My Phone.  It does not add my mail, contacts or calendar.  Does anyone know how to do so?

You could go to icloud.com on your computer, then download your iCloud calendar as an .ics file as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4910 (under Calendar...icloud.com Calendar), then import this to a supported program on your computer such as Outlook or Mac iCal (if you have one) and sync it to your phone using iTunes; or if you don't have a supported program, import it to an external service such as Google Calendar (see http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/30834/add-an-ical-or-.ics-calendar-to-google-cale ndar/) and sync it to your phone using a gmail exchange account (as explained here: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740).

  • Syncing Calendars with iPhone via iTunes

On my iPhone I have calendars from my MobileMe Account and calendars from the sync function in iTunes. This has given my duplicates in many instances. So now I've gone into iTunes to check my settings and see that iCal calendars are only to be synced using MobileMe. Thinking a iTunes sync with no calendars selected would fix this problem, I refigured those settings with only one calendar selected. However, it is taking forever for Calendars to sync with my iPhone.
    What is going on here?

Turned Calendar Syncing on my iPhone off then back on again. When the iPhone asked to merge calendars I said yes. Fixed the problem.

  • Icloud calendar to iPhone

I've successfully transfered all my calendar from google to the iCloud, but now I'm not able to tranfer them to my iPhone 4S (5.0.1), eventhough I've all the sync on... Can anybody help me on this...

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you mean you've transferred your calendars to iCal, check that the calendars are part of the iCloud account and not the On My Mac account, only calendars in the iCloud account will sync.
