Untrusted software found on memory card to remove ...

I have frequent problem showing when I restart my device Nokia E63 "Untrusted software found on memory card to remove goto application manager" Any solution?

Being a Nokia S60 device user, you may every now and then get insanely annoyed by the error message "Untrusted software found in memory card..." , "installing.. untrusted software found in mass memory go to app manager" or "untrusted sw found" whenever inserting your memory card, or rebooting your phone. (The situation is showed in the video over)   A lot users might also find it a dated issue since tips written, spreaded to tell how to resolve it have long been there on the net. So I'm just doing the recollection and, a little more.
E:\Private\10202DCE is the path you are supposed to find and the file folder to delete. The error message would be gone from next time you insert memory card or reboot the device after the folder is deleted.
Until another theme is installed in your memory card. Because it will generate another folder with the same path and name. So this seems not the ultimate answer. Intalling the theme on phone's RAM would be a better solution if you get memory space large enough in your phone RAM.
But, what if, suppose, that you intend to install themes on memory card for there always was, is and will be much more memory space in it than in the phone's RAM? Find and delete the folder over and over again  after you install any theme for every single time? For sure you can give it a try if you want to.
Yet now there comes out another approach in the commercial market from MMMOOO team. To customize and revise themes, or maybe get brand new and cool themes without any this kind problem. MMMOOO is the No.1 Theme UI provider for Nokia Symbian phones, and our unique tech ensure our theme without this problem. Thus to make it really gone forever!

  • Lost videos after pushing "command z" and memory card already removed.

I recently copied some videos from an SD Card using the built in card reader on my 2009 iMac. After copying the videos to a folder on the computer, I removed the memory card and formated/erased it in the camera. Upon returning to my computer (memory card still removed) I accidently pressed "command z" with the current Finder window still active and the videos disapeared. I was wondering if the videos are lost forever, or is there some location that they could still be found at? Thanks

It is simply added protection in the latest software telling you that you have software installed which doesn't have a valid certificate. It is, I believe, designed to protect you from if you insert another person's memory card in your phone, so that you are aware of any risky apps.
Afraid not as this was happening before the latest software.
I have seen a problem with “stuck” installer files in S60 3rd Edition phones for a couple of times. The information from Application Manager shows that the applications are not installed. However, they cannot be deleted because there is no Delete menu. They cannot be re-installed either because it always fails with “Unable to install” message. Those files are basically just stuck there.
From my opinion, it looks like a bug in S60 3rd Edition (not sure if this has been fixed in S60 3rd FP1). I don’t really know how to reproduce this problem, but it has happened to my phones several times. Once, I saw this problem after one application failed to install. In other occasions, I saw this problem after resetting my phone to the default factory settings.
What should we do if we have this kind of “stuck” installer files in S60 3rd Edition? One way is to delete the installer file manually via Windows Explorer. Unfortunately, we cannot use any file manager application because those files are located in a protected folder.
    * Firstly, connect your phone to a PC via USB.
    * Choose Data Transfer (a.k.a. Mass Storage). Do not select PC Suite because you won’t be able to browse protected folders in PC Suite mode.
    * Open Windows Explorer on your PC.
    * Go to \private\10202dce on the phone’s folder.
    * There, you should be able to find the installer files (.sis). Just remove them using Windows Explorer

  • Memory card was removed during import of photos

Is there any way to get to photos on a memory card that was previously "removed" probably while import photos was processing? Many precious photos on card. Our iMac is very slow, probably low on memory, and the "user" pulled the card out in frustration.
Now iPhoto says the card is not readable and the camera does not recognize the card either. Are our photos lost?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
    probably low on memory
If you mean free space on your hard drive then, yes that can cause a lot of troubles for you. It's strongly recommended that a minimum of 10 GB be maintained for optimum system and application operation. That much space is needed for cache files and virtual memory swap files which allow the system and apps to function efficiently. Also if you'r low on free space the Finder has to work hard to find space in the fragmented free areas to save the images.
If you're low on free space I'd make it a priority to free up a minimum of 10 GB. Then try MediaRECOVER on the memory card. I've used it and it works very well.

  • 6300 games etc not found on memory card anymore

as said above, i tried to copy (not cut) everything over to a 2GB card, but some things were write protected.
so i put the old card back in to the phone (including all the exsisting files), but now theres no games, even thought you can explore the memory card on the PC and it's all there?
    6300

got the files & put them on to the new micro sd card & their still not being recognized.
i'm getting a data cable delivered in the next few days, so i'll update the firmware first and see how it goes, if not, i'll take it into the nokia care centre near me

  • I downlod a song from firefox but i cannot found from memory card where is the storage

    solution

Does the song appear when you open Firefox's Downloads list? There are two ways to do this:
    * menu > Downloads
    * type or paste '''about:downloads''' in the address bar then tap the go arrow
On my Gingerbread device, downloads are stored in /sdcard/download and can be viewed using ES File Explorer (and, I'm sure, other similar apps).

    Hi there,
I have N70 and I brought 1GB Kingston MMC card.
    Here is the firmware bug...
First, when i bought my Nokia N70 it had firmware version v2.xxx.x.x.x.x ( i do not rimember all numbers ) and the 1GB and 32 MB MMC worked just fine... After updait on v5.0705.3.0.1 ( lastest balkan version ) i have a problems!

This happens often, and sometimes phone doesnt display error (Memory card is corrupted), so i have onother problem! It seem to phone write data on MMC over filled clusters whit other data! For example, I transfer 50 songs, and few songs are writen over onother! I start one song it plays me onother, or phone start to play song i have chosen but in the middle of the song play onother one xD!

  • Nokia 5800 memory card data loss

    Hello Everyone,
I've had one frustrating experience with my phone and it continues to annoy me. Since the past 6 months that i'm using my nokia 5800, one problem reoccurs frequently. Data on my memory card gets deleted by itself every now and then. I lose videos, music and images primarily every time.
The only option remaining then is to run a data recovery software on my memory card to restore to the lost data. This has happened 5 times in last 6 months and I have no clue why. I have seen many other complaining of the same problem in this forum but there's no solution. I hope to find on in this thread.
For your knowledge, i'm using 8gb micro sd that came with the phone and i'm already on FW ver 40.X which is the latest.
    List of Nokia phones I've used: 3310, 3315, 3200, 6600,3250, N73 ME, N95 8GB, 5800 XpressMusic and Nokia X6 16 GB (currently using this).

I have the same problem on my Nokia 5800 XM v50. It happens since i use it last August when it was v30. I am using the original 8GB microSD card.
Glad that the loss files are always mp3s or mp4 that I copied from computer to the memory card. I didn't loss any photos or videos taken with the phone camera.
Another problem is that sometimes I cannot startup phone with the memory card plugged.  It just shows the Nokia shaking hands and then white screen forever. I have to take out the battery or press the power button for more than 8sec to trun it off.
Sometimes I am able to start the phone by remove battery several times. BUT NOT TODAY. It can start if I take out the memory card before I press power button. After it is loaded into the home screen, if I insert the memory card, it HANGS.
I have been a Nokia user for 10yrs. And I always have faith on Nokia phones even when there were a lots of bugs on 5800 v30. BUT today i am really frustrated ....
    My phones: Nokia 5130, 3210, 3310, 6510, 6108, 6230, 3250, (Windows Mobile), 5800XM, N8 + Booklet 3G.

  • Supplied memory card causing freezing???

    Hi all,
Right i've had my E72 since oct 10 and during that time i've had a few accounts of freezing when ending applications etc but nothing major. Also i was having the access point menu randomly flashing up. I noticed these issues more (the access point menu entirley) after i updated the software. I was also noticing the keypad not lighting up everytime i used it, it would come on half way through a text.
I took the phone to my local express repair center where they simply hard reset the phone although im not sure if they did anything to the keypad/light sensor. Since getting the phone back its freezing worse than before and the keypad seems to be no better. Through looking on here i've found that memory cards can cause freezing and i've recently swapped my old samsung one for the one supplied with the phone. I also didn't realise about the light sensor (dumb*** ) but the keypad has been unlit in the dark before!
Are the supplied memory cards just bad or is it the handset and has anyone else had issues with there keypad light?
    Many Thanks

I have an E73 and no issues with the light sensor...I think.  Concerning the supplied memory card, have you tried reformatting it?  I recently had a problem with one of my purchased 8 GB cards slowing down.  I use the cards for file storage only: pictures, music, podcasts, etc.  Saving or deleting files on the card took a very long time, and the application appeared to lock up for roughly 20 (?) seconds with no progress bar.  Examining the card with a program like Windows' chkdsk revealed several errors on that chkdsk ultimately couldn't fix.  So I backed up all the data, reformatted the card, copied the data back, and it's been working perfectly since.  Just like hard drives and other storage, memory cards can fail, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're beyond saving.
On the other hand, I'm sure you've seen threads here about faulty phones.  If the phone itself can fail, then the memory card can, too.  You never know.   Hope that helps.

  • Unknown content in new memory card

I just bought a Nokia N70 ME ( inclusive of 1GB memory card )recently, but when i try to transfer some MP3 files into the memory card, there was a msg pop-up stating not enough memory and asking me to delete some data first,it really beats me because after checking the m.card details,it shows that out of the 900++ MB memory, only 64 MB used,so i have four issues here,
1st,the solution to fix the problem mentioned above,
2nd,the way to retrieve all the data/files/folders which used up the 64MB memory and also the way to delete it,if required ( because in my impression, i thought the m.card should be empty since it's a new one ),
3rd, in what circumstances that i'm required to format the m.card?
4rd, the step/setting which can channel the mp3 files directly into the m.card during the transfer via bluetooth ( either from phone to phone or pc to phone ).
Any reply over this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much Petrib and John,i just came back from the Nokia outlet, the sales assistant had it all figured out..it's because the accessive messages in the inbox have used up most of the phone memory..this is what she did : go to messaging > new message > options > settings > other > memory in use ( set to the memory card instead of phone memory ). she also added, in order to transfer the multimedia/mp3 files frm the inbox to the m.card, the inbox must have sufficient memory to do the transfer,so she advised me to delete some of the msg in the inbox before the transfer..it works!
she also advised me to install the pc suite n backup all the original folders/files/software in the memory card in case we want to perform the formatting so it will be easier for us to do the re-transfer.

  • Memory card spolit or..?

    Dear all,
I'm using nokia 5300 for almost a year now and today, something's wrong with the 256mb memory card! the images and music files in it are missing but it still uses up the same amount of space as though the music files and images are still there.
the memory card button in the gallery sometimes appears but sometimes does not. when it appears, I could not use the camera on my phone as it said that I couldnt save the images in the memory card because my memory card is "removed", however i can use the camera when I change the setting into saving images in phone memory.
is it just memory card problem or some sort of virus attack? can i fix it by formatting it or replace it with a new one??
    thanks for your time~
    really appreciate it! =)

hello there!! thanks for replying, at least I don't have to be soo worried that my phone can't be saved now. =)
anyway, i'm trying to view the contents of the memory card in my phone but everytime I wanna view it, it said "memory card not formatted" then it askd whether I want it to be formatted or not. I don't have a PC card reader so I couldn't check what are the important stuff in the memory card.
instead of formatting it, can I replace it with a new one cuz i've been wanting to change my 256mb memeory card to a larger one. however, I still hope I can check what are the contents inside just in case I miss something important..
thanks for your time again! take care. =)

  • Formating N82 Memory Card

    Hi guys,
I installed an app (MovingBall_Example.sisx) on my N82 onto the memory card. The app installed two file. the MovingBall app as well as a RDAccelerometer.dll file. This app designed for the N95's but i thought it will work fine on the N82.
On the first run of the app, it opened and ran for awhile then crashed. i restarted the phone and it hung on the nokia's white screen for ages. I then restarted it a again after removing the battery, but no luck. It will only work if the memory card is removed.
I've had a look on the card, and it seems that some folders and files are corrupted. I have made a copy of the memory card and want to reformat it. What format should i reformat it to and what folders can i safely put back?
I've got the following folders :
    -cities -- (Navigation folder)
    -Images,videos,sounds,other (Default storage)
    -Resource
    -Sys
The corrupt files are in sys\uninstall...is it safe to delete items from this folder?
Also, should I touch the sisregistery folder at all?
If I remove all traces the MovingBall_0xE14A45B8.exe & RDAccelerometer.dll from the \bin & \resource will it be okay?
    Thanks
    H

    Hi Hempiz,
If i were you its best to format the entire card and not just deleting certain files.
If its corrupt and you leave files on there the problems will probably still remain or return.
Its worth biting the bullet and formatting the whole card.

  • Service - service info - software info - memory card: no file found

before i flashed a Customized AU firmware i had numbers under the section, now it says no file found. my micro sd works fine, what memory card is this refer to?

Not an issue but it's probably because you have no pertinent info stored on your SD card with regards to the running of Android

  • N95(not 8G) KEEPS ASKING TO REMOVE MEMORY CARD

I bought my N95(not 8G) about 4 months ago(second hand) and about 2 months after I bought it I started getting a message saying ,please remove memory card and press ok.
It didn't come with a memory card so I fitted one from my old Nokia 6110(1gig) .Anyway I reloaded the N95 software from the nokia website, and this fixed my hassel for about a month, and now the ""remove memory card and press ok"" is back again.
Also I can access everything on the card with no problems till this happens, then I have to switch the phone off and restart it.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem would be appreciated
    Solved!

found this info on another part of this forum, does it work ???  and as I don't have the original card what can I do ???
This is a common issue...here how I upgraded my n95 to 8 gig
insert 8gig sd card into usb reader(thumb drive attachment comes with sandisk 8 gig)
    USE GHOST (disk image software)
make a disk image of old sd card
    insert 8 gig sd card
restore image to 8 gig and select the following options
    expand partition to fit drive
    and convert partition to fat32
This works perfectly and the phone thinks its the old sd card
    Kudos! Thanks!

    Hi nolimit966
Although of no help in your present situation, keep this in mind for future reference although you do need a memory card reader. I have always progressed through increasingly larger Sandisk cards (not even formatting) 4,6,8 and now 16GB by just copying contents (enabling Show hidden & System files) of existing memory card to desktop of PC and back to new card without issue.

  • Can't remove expired apps from memory card

I have an N73 and had some applications with a developers certification installed to my memory card. I then did a firmware upgrade. Now every time I start the phone it wants to install these applications but fails and tells me to upgrade via the Application Manager. In the Application Manager these apps are listed as uninstalled, if I try to remove them it fails due to expired certificate (which is probably true). But I can't remove them either, and haven't found any files to delete browsing the card. Suggestions?

This worked for one app--actually I could install it and after resetting the clock it still runs fine. Didn't think the certificate mechanism was so unintelligent.
One app didn't work anyway, it might've gotten corrupted. Found I could mount my memory card to my desktop and search for the application code, which was listed in the Application Manager, and manually delete all references to it.
