Unused Balance in iTunes Account

I received an email saying I have a Store credit but when I log in I do not see it. I have looked under account, iTunes Store and I see nothing. I don't have a credit card on file so I don't know what is going on.

I'm on iTunes 11 on a Mac and I see it on the top left of the store pages (my id is to the left of the amount) :
And on my account details page :
Other people have also posted that it doesn't appear to show for them. Have you tried logging out and back in ?

I have an unused balance that shows on my account but it won't let me use it to purchase anything. How do I get acccess to it?

When updating or restoring some iPods via a usb connection, it needs to be plugged into power via the charger to complete the process, and this is why you see that icon displayed. It's also why older iPods that required this step were supplied with a power adaptor as standard.
You may be able to complete the process via a car charger, or via a powered firewire port on the computer (with the required 6 pin cable of course) if you have access to either of those. Or maybe visit an Apple store if one is nearby.

Other than that, your iPod cannot be used until you complete this process.

If you have already redeemed your iTunes Store gift card, then the balance should be able to be viewed on your iTunes Store account. As long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID on your Apple TV, the purchase on the Apple TV will be deducted from your credit balance.

HT201303 This is the same computer. It crashed. I have $15.00 balance left in account. Can't access it.

My computer crashed, I had to re-install operating system. I had about $15.00 balance in itunes account. Now I cannot access that balance.

You can't transfer gift card credits from one account to another. You'll have to sign in using the old account on your iPhone to use the credit balance. =)
