Unusual click sound on the screen

Hello guys,
I'm having this click sound problem. Just want to know if you guys are having the same thing or not.

Stop it. You're making me nervous, now. I left my Z3C at the Pattaya Sony Service Center a week ago. It's basically a drop-off point and they send damaged goods to the "real" Service Center in Bangkok, apparently. I was told not to expect to hear anything for at least three to four weeks -- not even a status report until then. Knowing how things work in Thailand, I think that translates to "you'll be lucky to see your Z3C again before the end of the year."
My Z3C died suddenly on day #9 of ownership after putting it to sleep with about 35% battery charge. Can't power it on. Can't charge it. The "Sony Store" (a licensed franchisee since Thailand doesn't have bona-fide Sony company stores) only replaces faulty items within a week of purchase. Both store and the drop-off center went through the usual battery of tests to see if they could get the phone to power on and/or charge.
I'm nervous about the 3-4 week period just to get a status report. Bangkok is only about 1.5 hours up the road from where I dropped off the phone. The phone should be there the next day. Are there so many damaged Sony goods in the queue ahead of mine that it will take three weeks just to reach the front of the queue?

Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead.

As I say my computer, a mac mini refuse to start. When I turn it on it gives the startup sound and the screen turns grey and stay that way for a long time. And in the end a small folder icon with a question mark inside (it doesn't blink) turns up in the middle of the screen.
I have tried to start up from the installation CD holding down the C key on the keyboard. Same result. I have tried different key combinations while starting up. No result or rather same result. Nothing. Is the computer suddenly dead?
I was about to buy a new computer but I need access to my data on this one (I write this on an iPad) but hven't yet found a way.
Anybody have any good advice?
I thought it was a software problem, that the computer couldn't find the startup software or something and maybe it is, but I am beginning to fear that it could be a hardware problem.

You need to re install OSX. If you have the dmg file downloaded via torrentz this is how you can create a bootable external HD or Flash drive (8 GB+)

How to fix: the drive is in warranty, so contact Seagate for a replacement.
How to recover your data: Do you have backups? (If not, you really, really, should.)
You can try downloading Data Rescue, which will run in trial mode and let you know if the data is recoverable. (You can then choose to purchase the full version if it works for you.) A clicking drive, though, is usually (though not always) a sign that the drive cannot be recovered.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I rented a movie (Jumper) on iTunes. I can hear the sound, but the screen is green. Has this happened to anyone else? How do I re-download or get a refund?

I have thumbnails in my iPhoto library but when I click on them the screen is black

I have thumbnails on my iPhoto library but when I click on them the screen is black. I have had my computer in 2-3 times for this issue and the library is corrupt, or so I was told. This doesn't make sense since the photos are obviously in my library some where. Any thoughts what is going on?

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button,
and select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2: Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Can anyone help? It was working fine and then the sound was kind of scratchy and now it has NO sound and the screen isn't as bright as it was before

I've had the same problem, and sorted it using this:
Run the Boot Camp Assistant in OS X as normal and create a partition when asked, then insert your Windows 7 disc to reboot and begin the process proper.
Windows 7 requires the NTFS file system, so once in the installer just select your new partition (labelled BOOTCAMP), click on Drive options (Advanced) and choose to format it. Then select the newly formatted partition and continue.
Windows 7 will begin installing, and once it gets almost to the bottom of its checklist, it’ll try to reboot. Now, if you leave it here, you’ll get so far and see the black screen. Any further attempts to reboot will bring you to the same dead end.
Instead, restart and press a key to boot from the Windows 7 disc when prompted.
Rather than running the installation again, choose the little option at the bottom to Repair your computer. Decline any suggestions that pop up until you see a list of options with Command Prompt at the bottom. Choose that option.
At the Command Prompt, type DEL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ATIKMDAG.SYS to delete the default ATI driver, then close the window and reboot.
This time, Windows should successfully initialise a more appropriate display driver, allowing you into the desktop. From here insert your OS X disc to install the relevant hardware drivers as you normally would, then run Windows update to clear up any leftovers.

Try:

They will not fix it. What they do is replace rather then fix.
After Apple has examined it, they will determine if it is covered by warranty or not. If it is not, you will have to pay for the replacement.

Odd clicking sound from the speakers

There's a clicking sound from the speakers all the time, even when I'm not playing music. My PowerBook is only 1 week old, and I haven't dropped it or anything. Does anyone know what this is? Whenever I plug in my earphones or speakers, the sound stops.

I wish I knew. Having the same problem. Comes and goes. Presently it's happening and it BUGS. In the past I've tried disabling some of my extra scripts and software (especially extra preference panes), but you're probably not in the same boat there, having such a new machine.
Here's hoping someone has a solution!
