Unusual error message

I've gone to open my project this morning and have been hit with this message.
Not sure if this will help:
I shot a bunch of clips using the canon 5D mark II. I then needed to add slow-mo to some of them so I purchased and used the Twixtor plugin.
After rendering these clips I decided to export them as an MOV so I didn't have to worry about loosing the render and then having to re-render them all over again.
This morning I opened my project and was asked to allocate these files, thinking nothing of it, I hit cancel and continued on.
I then dropped the exported MOV's on my timeline but found when I tried playing them back, they were blank...! the audio was there but no vision.
What's gone wrong? it's like they are being corrupted in the export.
Any ideas?

Did you try reconnecting them?
Absolutely..... when they connect, the vision is just blank. I've also tried opening them with the QuickTime player, but the results were the same.
It's possible the drive is going down and has bad sectors.
I hope not, the drive is like a month old. I've edited a few other jobs on the same drive and never experienced this problem, as a mater of fact this is the first time i've even come across this problem.
As an experiment I'm now exporting a few of these using compressor. I'm just wondering if I maybe need to trash my preferences...?

Getting an unusual error message in Compressor 4.1 when I try to submit a job

I'm running Mavericks and have Compressor 4.1 on my Mac Pro along with FCP 10.1. When I submit a job to compressor, I then add the Dolby Digital and Mpeg-2 6.2 Mbps/90. When I hit Start Batch I get this error message

Hi Drew if you haven't resolved this. TRy this to see if the issue is a TRANSIENT object access error instead for submitting directly to Compressor. Do this to isolate any content error defects before making you distribution (older 2 stage workflow)..
in FCPX 10.1, make sure the projects Primary Storyline is completely rendered - select all and cntl+R (render selection or control+shift+R)In FCPX 10.1 watch the background tasks (+9) and wait for all the rendering to be completed.... (make sure no object errors)
in FCPX 10.1 export a master File/Share/Master File (+E) as PRORES 4xx and save it ~/Movies/Drews_final_master.mov (prores)
in Compressor.app V4.1,
create a new BATCH ,
import the MASTER object ~/Movies/Drews_final_master.mov)
(and add your setting and submit it. (dont use FCPX SEND TO COMPRESSOR just yet! until you resolve this issue)
This process will avoid the use of transient file storage areas that seem to be used in the FCPX to COMPRESSOR.

Unusual error message when running any report on R12 (fresh installation)

I managed to install R12 on W2k3 finally and got several problems since. Now I am getting below message in log file, every time I run any report. It seems it works for other other concurrent programs (tried Workflow Definitions Loader). Below log is for the report run in AP module, but I also tried others and they do not work.

Have you defined a dummy printer at the OS level? If not, please do so and check then (bounce the CM before submitting the request again).

Unknown error message

The " unknown error" message is making me crazy in my old Mac Book Air late 2008. Since the My internar Wifi - bluetooth is not working I decided to use an USB Wfi adapter.
I had the 10.8 OSX installed but now I formatted the SSD and installed OSX 10.6 and cannot download Mavericks.

When you get unusual error messages like that, it usually means you have a corrupted cache file. Instructions on removing the corrupted cache file can be found here: Deleting a corrupted cache file.
If that doesn't solve the problem, I suggest that you delete dwsync.xml (or move it to a different location). It's used to store synchronization information between your local site and server. If it's missing, DW should generate a new version, but of course, it won't have the old synchronization details.

Curiosity: strange error message

The query below returns a most unusual error message: (logged in as sys on 11gR1 on a Windows platform)

ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected CHAR got DTYTI5
no rows selectedI expected the "no rows selected" since the string is in lowercase instead of uppercase but, I never thought of lowercase being a different datatype much less of type "DTYTI5". The query works as expected when the string is uppercased.
Just a curiosity I thought some might find interesting,

Unusual burner error message? (See picure)

I have encountered an unusual error, when last trying to burn an audio CD.
A possible cause may be a recent (everyone shut their eyes) impact on the top right corner, that certainly made the chassis whimper, but didn't seem to upset the hardware within (I have burnt numerous cd's after the event).
These are the messages I got from intunes and Toast repectively, when trying to burn.

I think it may have been a media thing:
I changed the brand of disk, and the problem seemed to dissapear. Should have checked that first! Although I tend to assume the worst...

Unusual pop up error message

After one month of use my Verizon iPhone4 started showing a recurring pop up error message, "This accessory is not optimized for this iPhone. You may experience a reduction in signal strength." It comes up every few minutes and I have to close it to continue use of the phone. Very irritating! I have not added any accessory. I have been using a rubberized bumper cover ever since I bought the phone and it hasn't given me any trouble. What's going on?

Lint or other crud in the dock connector can create a short, thus generating that error message. Use some canned air & blow out the dock connector. If necessary, use a soft toothbrush...look closely, it doesn't take much stuck in there to create a short.

Error message into a Variable.

I have a rather usual (unusual from the weekend beers for me though!!) query which I can't figure out a proper way to implement.
My requirement is like this:
I have a message class in which I want to define a text 'Employee number & not found'.
I want to use this in the program, but not to raise this error. Instead, I want to move this error message with the Employee number into a Character(200) variable.
So instead of using MESSAGE e0xx(messageclass) USING employee number, I would like to move the error text into a variable which looks like:
lv_text = e0xx(messageclass) USING '1234' which stores the text 'Employee number 1234 not found' in lv_text.
How would I acheive it??

I cannot find the answer anywhere. You need to give answers to how to fix these errors because when I "search" "error code" or the number there is NOTHING. NOTHING! Yet you give us these stupid error codes
then you do not give us ANYTHING on how to fix these. These error codes make me so mad it makes me hate outlook, and hate the developers and hate microsoft. How in the world can you give us ERROR codes without the explanation of what
to do or how to fix it. You need to add each error code number in your "search" then explain what it is and how to fix it. I am not a tech. I am a lawyer. I have googled the entire string of error code and nothing is clear.
So, for the last several years, I get these error codes. Also, there is another error code that won't go away--it is the password error code that asks if I want to store the password. Yes, so I say YES. but it pops back. I am sick of this. This is the reason

I understand how frustrated you are when facing such an issue, maybe I can provide some suggestions on the problem.
Based on the description, you should be using an IMAP account setup in Outlook. As for the error message, usually it's caused by a corrupted message on the Server. I suggest you logon the Webmail site, check if sending/receiving emails works well.
If you find any unusual emails that cannot be read or sent, try deleting them to try again.
I also suggest you create a new profile to setup the IMAP account:

Contact your Email Service Provider to get the correct and latest account settings, since you have been using Outlook for years, some settings may have been changed while you haven't been informed.

Error message in portal when manager tries to submit a PCR

I have an unusual / rare case that no-one seems to have come across before in the technical team, where a manager with MSS access is trying to submit a personnel change request to modify an employee's position (just a change in part time hours for the WSR) in the portal. When the manager goes through the action all is fine. At the end when they click on the submit button, they receive the following message which prevents them from sending the PCR:
There is an error message submitting your request. The error text is:
Enter a valid date (for example,)
Has anyone come across such an issue before possibly ? In our test environment we do not encounter the same issue as in production for this manager and so it's a little odd as we are not able to replicate the problem.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I assume you've checked all the dates entered to see if they are valid, but what dates have been entered (if any)?
What happens if he tries again, same result?
Have you tried turning on the debugger to see where it's coming from?
Also, check the date settings for that user (eg DD.MM.YYYY) to see if they're unexpected.
OSS Note 1095770 explains that the error message (888 from the message class FK)
was changed from:
Enter a valid date (for example, 01.01.1996)
to:
Enter a valid date (for example, &)
and in the code change I see that the variable gets set this way:
l_date_format(15) TYPE c.
WRITE sy-datum TO l_date_format.
So it would seem that user is having a problem writing sy-datum. Again, check his user settings.

Error message from my time capsule

I get the following error message from my time capsule when I try to backup my HD:
There was a problem connecting to the server "XXXXX".
Check the server name or IP address, and then try again. If you continue to have problems, contact your system administrator.

You have lost all network connection to the TC. This is not so unusual since Mavericks.
You have listed hardware but the more important part is OS you are running.
Have you done a restart of the TC? That often gets it going.
A full network restart in correct order is next. With everything off.. power up modem.. wait 2min.. power up TC.. wait 2min. Power up computers etc.
Still no luck. Factory reset the TC and start over.

HT1577 error message while downloading

I am trying to download an update to my operating system from the app store. Although my machine says I am connected to the internet, about 3 GB into the download, I get an error message that I am not connected to the internet. I have no clue what's wrong. Can anybody help? I am on a wireless network using Airport Extreme.

Yeah, this 0x800763b3 is a slightly unusual one. Normally with these, the iTunes install error code matches the error codes that people get on their Windows Update failures. But for the last two 0x800763b3s I've been involved in on an iTunes install (Liv and someone else), the 0x800763b3 on the iTunes install has been associated with an 0x8007000b on the Windows Update failures. (Liv's 643s were pretty much "generic" error message codes for Windows Update failures, which could mean anything. So that's why I/we went after the 0x8007000b, which has some Microsoft documentation on fixes.)
Doublechecking on other symptoms of your situation ... is your Windows Update not opening at all when you try to launch it?
If so, when you click "Turn Windows features on or off" in the "Programs and Features Control Panel" item, is the Windows Features dialog box empty? (No features are shown?)
(If we can't get the codes from the windows update failures, we might be able to make some progress if we can identify other symptoms that you're getting. I know some documentation for some of these codes that mentions the Windows Features thing as a possible additional symptom.)
