Unusual Issue with Dial-peers

To Start it off, I am running CUCM 8.6.2  The head router is a 2951.  All my branch locations are 2901s running 15.2 with an FXO and FXS card.   On all the 2901s I have dial peers set as follows
voice-port 0/1/0
trunk-group SRST-OUT
timing hookflash-out 50
connection plar opx 4042
caller-id enable
voice-port 0/1/1
trunk-group SRST-OUT
timing hookflash-out 50
connection plar opx 4042
caller-id enable
voice-port 0/1/2
trunk-group SRST-OUT
timing hookflash-out 50
connection plar opx 4042
caller-id enable
voice-port 0/1/3
trunk-group SRST-OUT
no echo-cancel enable
timing hookflash-out 50
dial-peer voice 1 pots
trunkgroup SRST-OUT
destination-pattern 9[2-9].........
dial-peer voice 999022 pots
service mgcpapp
port 0/2/2
dial-peer voice 2 pots
trunkgroup SRST-OUT
destination-pattern 911
dial-peer voice 3 pots
trunkgroup SRST-OUT
destination-pattern 9911
These rules should make it so that when a user is trying to get an outside line, that it will use the pots lines for external calls and 911 calls.  it works at every other location except for the new one I am trying to open up.  No matter what number is dialed, it is routed over my MPLS and back to my call manager in another city and going out the pri there rather than the POTS lines local to where I am.  I can't seem to figure out why this particular one is misbehaving.  I thought it might be a bad config, so I wiped it and re-programmed it all from scratch rather than a reload.  I would appreciate any assistance.
Thanks
David

Hi David.
I guess you are using Route Groups and Route Lists for external dialplan, please check if callmanager is selecting the right gateway/ route list to route outgoing calls for the new site.
If you are using local route groups, remember to create a separate device pool for the new site associating the correct route group as local route group.
HTH

  • Issue with Dial-via-Office and CDMA Carriers

We recently deployed Communications Manger 9.1 with Jabber (CUPS) version 9 so that we could leverage the new Dial-via-Office feature on the iOS and Android Jabber client (version 9.1.1.21178).  DVO works great when on a non-enterprise Wi-Fi hotspot with VPN, but when using VPN over Sprint cell data, DVO disconnects after 59 seconds.  We suspect that because we are unable to send data while on a voice call that the Jabber client is unable to send a keepalive to the CUCM in order to keep the call connected.  As a result, the CUCM thinks that the call has dropped and then terminates the call.  We do not have this issue on GSM based phones.
Does anyone know if there is a timer that can be modified such that the CUCM will not drop the call even if the keepalive doesnt exist?  Or, has anyone else found a solution to this?
    Thanks,
    Chad

The closest you'll be able to get for now is the Mobile Voice Access feature where he dials a number, authenticates, and can the dial another number that CUCM sources from the user's DN. The only part it won't do is call the user (DVO-Reverse).
The DVO Forward/Reverse features are not supported by any currently shipping client. They used to be able to do this with CUMA but that is EoL. At least for now this hasn't made it's way into Jabber. The closest Jabber gets is a related feature where a call started on VoIP can be handed off to cellular. In that case CUCM does call the cell phone but the call has to start on VoIP.

Nothing happens when you tap the buttons in the dialer? You don't need to hold them, just tap them.

  • Unusual issue with tag engine and BELKIN USB to Ethernet adapter??

I have an .scf file with 72 tags and several tag groups in it. If I open the tag engine without the usb adapter, I can read the tag group names with the get group list.vi. The tag group names are listed in black letters when wired to an indicator. When I plug in the usb ethernet adapter, immediately the group tag names are greyed out in the indicator without even running the vi. If I put a tag constant on the block diagram and try to select a tag name with the pointer, no tagnames pop up. It worked yesterday and my IT. department sent down a shockwave and flash5 update download when I booted up this morning. anyone have any ideas??

I am still seeing the tag groups disappear when I start the tag engine on labview7.0. I have several other programs running at the same time, KEPWARE, PROWORX NXT, USB to ethernet adapter. This is on a win2000 machine.

  • Smartform issue with page break

    Hi All,
I have an unusual issue with page break. Here is my scenario, I have a group of items in my table main area and for each group there is sort of header that prints. Similarly there are multiple groups needing a header whenever there is a new group printing. So far it prints fine. But whenever there is a page break and when items from the same group also print on the next page the same header needs to print on the top of next page similar to how the header area repeats on each page. Unfortunately I did not see any page break event for table main area.
Here is an alternative I have tried but having issues: I have created two rows for this group header one printing from header and another printing from main area. Whenever there is a page break the same group header prints as part of the header and on the rest of the page it prints from the main area. But in a particular scenario, there is a new group starting at almost bottom of the page but as there is not enough space left on the same page (page protection) jumps to next page. In this case there are two group headers printed one coming from the preivous page main area and another coming from the next page header. I hope my explanation is clear enough to understand.
Please suggest if there is any basic feature of smartform that I have missed out can solve this issue or if there is another alternative you can think of. I appreciate your responses.
    Thanks..

I was able to solve this issue on my own.
Instead of checking for a page break on header line I am using a flag that is prepopulated in the table. I set this flag whenver a new group of items starts. If the flag is set I print it from the main area and if it is not set I print it from the header. This helped in avoiding the multiple header lines..

  • Does the 10.6.4 update fix the freezing issues with the i5 & i7 MBP's

Since I am on the fence about buying a new 15" MBP I would be interested to know what effect the new update has on the latest MBP's and the freezing issues some are experiencing.

The "freezes" that are mentioned in other threads here appear to be due to a wide variety of different issues. Looking at the relevant posts I'd reckon about one in thirty of them at the most are due to an unusual issue with a few of the current MBPs. The other 29 are simply the regular array of things that cause freezes on any computer - out of date software, corrupted directory structures, the migration of already corrupted software from older computers, duplicate or corrupted fonts, badly written third party software, the occasional shonky HD or RAM module, etc etc etc.
THis is a non-issue from what I can see. Some people may well benefit from updating to 10.6.4 , but probably only because it replaces some files that have been corrupted for other reasons in the past.
I certainly wouldn't be putting off getting a new MBP on the basis of the stuff here. Sure, some people will experience "freezes", but there doesn't really seem to me to be anything out of the ordinary being reported here with respect to the new MBPs. There are a thousand and one things that can lead to "freezes". In a few cases it probably is due to a hardware problem with one component or another. In the vast majority, however, it will simply be because of the common old "thousand and one shocks that silicon chips, magnetic storage and software developers are heir too"!

  • Droid 3 voice dialing issues with bluetooth

I just received my Motorola Droid 3 on Monday.  I'm having issues using voice dialing with my Samsung WEP590 bluetooth headset.  No trouble activating the voice dialing on the phone but it never dials the correct name.  I did the voice training on the phone but it didn't help.  Yes, English is my native language.   Saying "call home" made the phone ask if I wanted to "email" someone.  Very frustrating since I travel for my job and voice dialing over bluetooth is essential.
I tried to do voice dialing without bluetooth and had the same issue.  Is anyone else having this issue?  Is there a third party app I can use?
    thanks for any help.

    Good Afternoon, dtownfb!
I researched bluetooth information about the device and the headset. I found no related concerns from other users. It would appear to be a hardware related issue on either the phone or headset. Have you been able to use another bluetooth with the device successfully? Have you tried the bluetooth paired with another phone and used the voice dialing feature successfully? We can eliminate the issue by asking these two questions. The problem lies in where we can duplicate the problem.
Please advise your findings. If it is deemed an issue with your Droid 3, please feel free to PM me so I can assist further with options to correct the issue.
Thank you and have a great day!

  • Hgrid - Issue with an unusual scenario

    Hi All,
I've a Hgrid component with two levels, one VO master and one VO details and a View Link that is created in runtime to join them. In my page, this Hgrid shows the results based on parameters from a search region (I'm not using query region since it doesn't fit with the requirements). Basically what I need now is to filter the details VO based on extra parameters passed in runtime. In order to meet this requirement I've tried to use createViewLinkBetweenViewObjects method as the example below:
    am.createViewLinkBetweenViewObjects("AnalyticShipLnToAllocsGridVL",
    "AnalyticAllocsGridVO",
    voShipLineGrid, shipLnLinkAttrs,
    voAllocsGrid, allocsLinkAttrs,
    "ITEM_CODE = :1 AND ORGANIZATION_ID = " + pOrganizationId); // VL attribute plus extra criteria
I'm currently facing two issues with the above code:
    1. My query is grouped by ITEM_CODE and consequently I'm not selecting the ORGANIZATION_ID attribute, even though it is defined in the View I'm selecting. After executing the application with the above code, the following error comes out:
    Statement:
    SELECT * FROM (SELECT component_type,
    component_reference,
    item_code,
    SUM(estimated_amt) estimated_amt,
    SUM(actual_amt) actual_amt
    FROM inl_dashboard_overall_v
    GROUP BY item_code, component_type, component_reference) QRSLT
    WHERE ITEM_CODE = :1 AND ORGANIZATION_ID = 9246
    Error: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00904: "ORGANIZATION_ID": invalid identifier
    2. To solve the first issue, I tried to use the VO method setNestedSelectForFullSql(false), but if I do so, the WHERE clause is built after the Group By and it results in a different error:
    Statement:
    SELECT component_type,
    component_reference,
    item_code,
    SUM(estimated_amt) estimated_amt,
    SUM(actual_amt) actual_amt
    FROM inl_dashboard_overall_v
    GROUP BY item_code, component_type, component_reference
    WHERE ITEM_CODE = :1 AND ORGANIZATION_ID = 9246
Error: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
Can anybody please help me on how to solve and deal with such scenario?
I'd appreciate any suggestion, idea or comments on this.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Eduardo

    Hi Kumar,
Thanks for your answer but the "9246" in the organization_id is passed in runtime.. How can I handle this since this VO is the Detail in a View Link??
    And If I do this:
    SELECT component_type,
    component_reference,
    item_code,
    SUM(estimated_amt) estimated_amt,
    SUM(actual_amt) actual_amt
    FROM inl_dashboard_overall_v
    WHERE ITEM_CODE = :1 AND ORGANIZATION_ID = :2
    GROUP BY item_code, component_type, component_reference
How can I use the View Link to set the binding parameter :2 ??
    Thanks,
    Eduardo

  • Serious dial-up issues with iChat and Mail

I've got three Macs on a network: G4 Mac Mini, G4 PowerBook, and a MacBook Pro all upgraded to Leopard. I live in a rural setting and am stuck with dial-up for the moment. My usual set-up with Tiger was to connect the Mini via dial-up via the Juno service. This is set to share the connection via Ethernet to Airport Express. Typically there is only one user at a time accessing either the MacBook Pro or the g4 Powerbook via the wireless share. In Tiger this worked perfectly. iChatting, web, and email all worked flawlessly. Every now and then a large download in Mail or Safari might time out but only large downloads 4mb or larger and rarely.
Since upgrading to Leopard none of the Macs can send an email with lots of content... say somewhere around 70 kb or more. Inline text or an attachment, does not matter... it will time out. This happens whether directly connected via the phone or via the wireless share to the Mini. iChat is also nearly useless with time out errors between each bubble of text sent as well as frequent disconnects. Adium also has problems with basic text chat. I've tried connecting the PowerBook via Juno directly to bypass possible problems with the Mini and it is experiencing the exact same problems when connected. Web browsing is perfectly fine as are ftp transfers. The problem seems to be limited to AIM (regardless of client) and email.
    Thoughts?

I seem to have solved my various internet related problems and the source problem is the software provided by my dial-up isp, JUNO. The solution was to connect directly via OS X network preferences using PPP. In the past I've always used the JUNO software to connect. Earlier today it occurred to me that I have never even tired to bypass the JUNO software. Since logging on via Leopard's built in PPP I've not had any iChat errors and am also now able to send larger emails via smtp. So, perhaps in my case the culprit was an incompatibility between Leopard and the JUNO software.

  • Issues with Multicast MOH with CUCM SRST Sites

    Hi there,
I am having an issue streaming multicast music on hold at remote sites by sourcing the music on hold from the local flash of the Cisco 2951.
I am running CUCM 9.1(2) SU1, I have 1 x PUB and 1 x SUB. I have enabled the PUB to stream unicast MOH and have enabled multicast MOH on the SUB. Base IP: 239.1.1.1 and Port 16384.
I have set the MOH Region to all remote sites regions to G.711 and have put the SUB into an MRG and have enabled MOH at the MRG and Audio Source Level as per documentation. The MRGL for remote sites contain the local sites hardware resources such as MTP, CFB and XCODE. Second to that MRG, I have set the MOH_MRG containing the SUB enabled for multicast.
When a remote site user put the PTSN caller on hold, I can see an active multicast music on hold session active on the local router but the PSTN caller hears silence !!! The number of In/Out packet on the multicast session does not increase at all.
Could you please help me guys? I have tried all options and still I am getting silence all the times.

The IP address CUCM selects is based on the codec and the audio stream.
    See the following URL. http://voiceonbits.com/2010/06/29/moh-issues-and-resolution/

We have come across this issue today in 10.9.5 (so affects 10.9.4 as well) but it was occurring in Sydney as well with a client and for me in Melbourne.

  • Issue with instant ringback when using sip trunk to SP

    Hi all,
    We use CUCM 8.0.2.
We have a SIP trunk to a SP connected via one of our Cisco 2911 routers configured as a CUBE.
Cisco IOS Software, C2900 Software (C2900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.0(1)M3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
    c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M3.bin
    Cisco CISCO2911/K9 (revision 1.0)
Technology Package License Information for Module:'c2900'

                      Current       Type
    ipbase        ipbasek9      Permanent
    security      securityk9    Permanent
    uc              uck9            Permanent
    data           None            None
We also have several ISDN lines that run out via various Cisco routers configured as H323 gateways.
We use 7945 and CIPC for our phones.
We're having an issue with calls going via the SIP trunk where we hear ringing instantly after dialling - but before the actual device at the other end starts ringing (considerable difference).
Using the SIP trunk: If I make a call to my mobile phone - I hear ringing instantly - about 3 rings before my mobile phone actually starts ringing - undesireable.
Using H323 gateway: If I make a call to my mobile phone - I hear silence for a bit - then ringing when the mobile starts ringing - desired.
Using SIP trunk: If I make a call to a landline that is ready - it rings instantly for at least 1 ring - before the actual phone I'm calling starts ringing - undesireable.
Using H323 gateway: There is a momentary pause before hearing ringing on my phone and the phone I dialled - desired.
Using SIP trunk: If I make a call to a landline that is off-hook (with no call-waiting/etc.) - it rings once and then returns the busy signal (the worst issue) - undesireable.
Using H323 gateway: There is a momentary pause before hearing busy signal - desired.
Phone to phone internally (same network): Operates as expected (instantly rings locally and on the phone I'm calling). Between phones that utilise the SIP trunk and phones that utilise the H323 gateways within the same network - communication is instant and as expected.
Any ideas why this happens and how to stop it?
I want it to not ring until the situation is known and that it can provide the appropriate feedback (ringing/busy/etc.).
Some possibly relevant config (note that there is a known bug with this IOS that meant I had to declare the codec in each dial-peer as the voice class would not work):

Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Brett

I ended up resolving this issue as follows:
In CUCM, under Device > Device Settings > SIP Profile.
I modifed the profile relevant to my SIP trunk, under the "Trunk Specific Configuration", I set "SIP Rel1XX Options" from "Disabled" to "Send PRACK if 1xx Contains SDP".
Now, I get the expected delay before hearing ringback.
    Solved!
