Unusual ORA-907 error
Getting this error in Answers:
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 907, message: ORA-00907: missing right parenthesis at OCI call OCIStmtExecute. [nQSError: 17010] SQL statement preparation failed. (HY000)
This is the statement:
SQL Issued: SELECT "Invoice Info".VIN saw_0, "Invoice Detail Dates and Values"."Quantity on Invoice" saw_1, "Dealer Dim - Invoice".DEALER_NAME saw_2, "Date Enter - Invoice".LONG_DATE saw_3, "Axle Info - Invoice"."Axle Variant Code" saw_4 FROM Invoice ORDER BY saw_0, saw_1, saw_2, saw_3, saw_4
There are no paranthesis here. If I use an ODBC connect in the connection pool the error changes to a "Divide by Zero" error.
Has anyone seen this and come up with a solution?
check for commas, quotes, spaces, and any other unusual symbols in table names...I assume you're using OCI as your connection pool method...Also, check for spaces in BMM (preceeding, and trailing)

ORA-907 ERROR WHEN IMPORT (COMMENT 처리)
========================================
ORA-907: missing right parenthesis error
이후 INSERT INTO temp_table select * from original_table ;
을 실행합니다.
즉 original_table 을 temp_table 로 copy 한 후
drop table original_table;
rename temp_table to original_table ;
을 한 후 table을 다시 export해서 다른 machine으로 import한다.

이상입니다.Hi, i think that the problem is around the rollback segments.The solution is bring other rollback segments ONLINE state, if not exist others rollbackup,then you need create the other rollback segments and bring online state.
If you need more information, you will must see the next DOC-ID on Metalink site,
Note:121971.1

Ora-907 during create table statement
Customer is receiving an ora-907 error running this sql statement and I cannot determine where the problem is, if there is extra spaces or if it's truly missing the right parenthesis.

LisaWelcome to the forum!
So why did you use your second post to the forum to resurrect a thread that is over a year old?
Hemant already provided the correct answer to the question and your reply to him that 'This contradicts the constraint documentation' doesn't specify what you mean by "this" but is wrong on any account.
You certainly can't be referring to Hemant's statement
>
The syntax "constraint cfcs_tfcs_fk foreign key ...", using the key words "foreign key" is for an out-of-line constraint definition.
>
Since the diagram clearly shows his statement is correct.
And you can't be referring to his statement
>
Furthermore, the "using index" clause is for Primary Key constraint , not for a Foreign Key. You should manually create the index separately.
>
Since the documentation states exactly what Hemant said.
See 'Using Indexes to Enforce Constraints' in the SQL Language doc
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28286/clauses002.htm
>
Restrictions on the using_index_clause The following restrictions apply to the using_index_clause:
You cannot specify this clause for a view constraint.
You cannot specify this clause for a NOT NULL, foreign key, or check constraint.

=======
ORA-12801: error signaled in parallel query server P007
ORA-00001: unique constraint (VEL5APPO.BL1_CHARGE_PK) violated
=======Not sure why you think this a complex and unusual and difficult to understand error. It is very clear what is happening.
WHAT: your code violates constraint VEL5APPO.BL1_CHARGE_PK that says that one or more columns must contain unique values.
Who says it? That is specified by the first line in the error stack.
WHO: parallel query process 7 ran into the constraint error
So what's happening? Your SQL is executed in parallel. Up to 7 PX slaves are used to run your SQL - with each slave running the SAME SQL for DIFFERENT rowid ranges. PX slave 7 attempted an insert/update that would have resulted in a duplicate row. The database constraint protecting the integrity of that table, prevented it.
So the error is very clear as to what is wrong, why it is wrong, and where it is happening.
I fail to understand that you search google and metalink and failed to find answers, when the error is meaningful....? -
I am getting Error ORA-00600 for a procedure which tries get
a CLOB as output paramater. It is a simple stored proc which is
just querying to get this data.
However it fails at times giving ORA-00600 error which we have
no clue why it's happening.
There is sufficient space in the server and also we have
restarted the database several times.
Any pointers to why is this happening.

Why do I get the error ORA-907 "Right Prenthesis Missing" when importing an export file created with 7.3.4 export on several tables some large some small ?. Anyone Please !
Sorry I pressed 'Post' too quickly !
OS WindowNT 4 patch 6.
Oracle DB 7.3.4 - both ways but second time I also tried to import into 8i with exact same results. Full database Export was Used
The export and import was done from the same server. The export log file had no error messages - Export created succesfully.
Export/Import utility used exp73 / imp73.
I was trying to re-organize the db and also test for future possible recovery and migration to 8i without useing the 8i migration.
Thanks I hope this helps clear up the basics -

Ora-01008 error with bind variable
Hi,
We have a test program which have one bind variable on a column which is varchar2(20), in the test program we've passed a 20 character string to the variable. The program returns error in one of the databases but all others are successful. We've checked the column is same in all of them.
Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01008: not all variables bound
Could you please advise how to troubleshoot this issue?
RegardsWe aren't going to be able to help you if you won't post the database code that is giving the error.
And now we need the Java code that is constructing the query that you are using.
Your error is saying there is a second variable that you are not providing a value for.
And you said

PL/SQL: ORA-04052: error occurred when looking up remote object.
Hi All,
I'm getting the following error message while executing a PL/SQL Block.
PL/SQL: ORA-04052: error occurred when looking up remote object UPLDUSER.filestatushistory@FTS
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error
ORA-02063: preceding line from FTSStatement
declare
v_coun number;
begin
select count(*) into v_coun
from updluser.filestatushistory@fts;
end;Back ground of the situation as follows,
My DataBase version 10.2.0.3 DB Name :DB1
Table Owner : UPLDUSER
Table Name : FILESTATUSHISTORY
I have a report user on the same database and I have grant all on the above table to report user
Report User : RPT_FTS
SQL> GRANT ALL ON FILESTATUSHISTORY_V TO RPT_FTS;Now Please find the below database details where I'm getting subjected error.
Database version : 9.2.0.8
DB Name : DB2
User Name : RPT_REPORTS
I Have create a dblink from RPT_REPORTS to RPT_FTS on DB1 and the dblink works fine. But getting the above error while running it.
but When I do the same other 10.2.0.3 db , the above PL/SQL block works fine without any problem.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Now the strange about this is that I have Created a new table on DB1 db like below;
SQL> CREATE TABLE UPLDUSER.ABC AS SELECT * FROM FILESTATUSHISTORY;and retry my code on DB2 (9.2.0.8) after changing the table to ABC and it worked. Now I don't know whats wrong with a original table(FILESTATUSHISTORY).
To over come the problem and a work-a-round method I create a view on the DB1 (RPT_FTS) like the below
SQL> CREATE VIEW FILESTATUSHISTORY AS SELECT * FROM UPLDUSER.FILESTATUSHISTORY;and was able to run the PL/SQL block Remotely.
Just wants To know what whould have been the cause for this .
Cheers

CFGFWK-60850: Test Failed!Hi,
Please check the timezone set in your server where Weblogic is installed. Also ensure the timezone on which your weblogic is running, the same is present in in database by querying V$TIMEZONE_NAMES table. If it is not present then please change the timezone of the server. then try to execute the steps what you are doing, it will not throw any error.
if this helps please mark.
