  • Unwanted audio in burned final idvd

Have you ever encountered this problem in iMovie/iDVD? I recently finished editing together a wedding for friends. The timeline is a simple sequence of clips with transitions and background music that I easily imported directly from itunes. When editing, THE FIRST THING I DID was to DETACH AUDIO from my clips and delete it because I don't want background noise in the project. I also MUTED ALL AUDIO in the clips. When I play my timeline project in iMovie...it is exactly as I want it. I go to Share it through iDVD and I set up my menu and burn as usual. HOWEVER, when I play back the new DVD, unwanted audio (pulled from the original background sound of the video clip) creeps in AT RANDOM! Some clips are still muted, others are playing the background audio. What the heck? The first thing I did in iMovie was to detach audio and mute all audio from my video clips. The project is perfect in iMovie, why isn't it burning correctly? Any help would be appreciated :-) THANKS

    -Old Toad,
Thank you so much for your reply. I am trying to figure out if I can also do this in Quicktime version 10 because I have a new computer, but I haven't found a property option in this version. When I go to "Show View Options," I can see that there are, indeed, TWO audio tracts present. I need to delete ONE of them. Any suggestions?
Also, since I last posted, I edited/burned a smaller project and I didn't have the same problem "unwanted audio" dvd problem. Therefore, I think that this is a SOFTWARE problem, in which case, I'm just outta luck? Like I said originally, I ALWAYS detach all audio and delete it. The video plays perfectly in iMovie, but burns incorrectly, with the unwanted audio popping in and out, at random.

  • Why am I hearing unwanted audio (commercials) when Firefox is open?

When Firefox is open I sometimes hear unwanted audio, mostly commercials. What can I do to correct this?

Could be some incompatibility with 10.6.8 or something you added to your system.
Try downloading the 5.4.0.1771 version and see if you have any better luck.
FWIW, I just downloaded 5.3.59.1093 and it worked "ok" on my 10.6.5.  Of course "ok" is a relative term when it comes to skype since Microsoft took it over!

  • Unwanted audio on system

I have an HP Slim Line desktop model s5212y running Windowa 7 Home Premium.  I have a DSL modem plugged into the computer thru a wireless router that my wife uses for her laptop (also HP) and 2 printers.  For several months now I have been getting what sounds like a news radio station on my system only.  It comes on at irregular times for 5 minutes to several hours.  The odd part is it doesn't matter if my browser is open or not, the station will still come on.
I have tried the Windows trouble shooting programs to no avail.  Everything about the computer seems to be running fine except for this irritating and unwanted audio intrusion.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
You can try with the following solution
Click on Start and then in the Search option type – MSCONFIG
Click on the tab Startup (right side top corner)
    Click on Disable All
    Click on Apply
    Click on Ok
A new window will pop-up, check the box – Do not show this message again
    Click on Restart
    Now you can check.
If the issue is not resolved then you will have to observe what happens when the radio sound starts. In order to do so, when the sound starts coming then press CTRl+Alt+Del buttons together and then start the Task Manager. The very first Tab is with the name Application, click on the tab and note down the applications are running. One of the applications will be related to the sound that comes. Once you locate the application then Right click and select End Task. Hope the Radio sound that you are getting will stop.
If now also the Radio sound does not stops then remove the DSL Modem and then after disconnect the Router and share the outcome.
If you have any further queries then please feel free to post.
    Good Luck

  • How to remove unwanted audio using audio effects?

The audio effects in question: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premierepro/cs/using/WS1c9bc5c2e465a58a91cf0b1038518aef7-7d80a .html
I've been meaning to learn how to do this for a while so I thought I'd get started.
I want to learn how to clean up my audio. I don't have very professional audio gear, I'm using a Rode videomic pro on a canon 60D so the quality isn't the best but it's ok for now. There is a lot I want to learn but right now there are 2 things on my mind:
    1. I have a deadcat wind muff on my rode but still when the wind hits it I get this unwanted wind sound on my soundtrack. I know there has to be a way to remove or reduce this somehow using the audio effects.
    2. Slight white noise over my audio. I know this is a result of recording directly from my camera but there has to be a way to reduce the white noise in order to get clearer audio. I've seen people recording right out of their camera and they have way better results than me.

I know there has to be a way to remove [wind noise]
    There is.  It's called ADR.
there has to be a way to reduce the white noise
    There is.  Better equipment.
Sorry but, I think you may be expecting to much of your post production tools.

  • Unwanted Audio on Menu

On my menu (started from +Light Index+ template) I have 6 buttons and each has a video frame as an asset with motion turned off. Simulation reveals that the audio for button 4 plays and I don't want it to. It is not the only button that has audio, but the only one that plays during the menu.
The asset is set to the video, I've checked the tabs for each button to seek some unwanted setting, and I can't find anything that looks unwanted. I checked each Chapter marker to seek unwanted, nothing I can see.
Then I tried removing the asset from the button - sound stayed.
I quit program, reopened file - unwanted sound still heard in simulation. None of the other video audio is playing. All video runs quite nicely. Each button is an individual video clip and I want it to return to the menu after playing - all that works just great. Only the one audio clip is unwanted.
What did I do wrong? Thanks for any help.

Click somewhere on a blank part of the menu (where there are no buttons). Check the inspector in the audio section at the bottom. Remove any audio in that window. That's the only thing I could imagine.

  • How Do I Get Rid of Unwanted Audio Track?

I am bringing DPX files into Photoshop as Image Sequences. Afterwards, I am using Export…Render Video, set to Adobe Media Encoder, H.264.
The resulting H.264 files have an AAC audio track (presumably, with nothing but zeros, because there is no audio with this material.) How do I prevent Photoshop from adding an audio track?
I don't see a way to delete the audio track from the timeline. I don't see a way to export only video in the Render Video settings.

Mylenium, thanks for bringing that to my attention, because it didn't occur to me.
However, it brings up a different problem. In the Adobe Media Encoder, Create Preset settings, I don't see a way to set it to a custom frame rate, such as 16 frames per second, if I want to use the MPEG4 wrapper.
One of the reasons that I am bringing these DPX files into Photoshop in the first place is so that I can do this:

  • Unwanted audio clips

The last 20 photos that I entered into my Elements 10 organizer have an unwanted speaker icon in the upper right.  How can I get rid of this icon (and the attached slideshow narration file) from these 20 photos and stop the organizer from adding it to future photos?

the other fixes ive found are to enable the firewall on the phone, and in the options menu, click on mms and check the boxes for msg filtering. other than that, i was able to figure out who's phones the messages were coming from, and after i did the security wipe, i deleted the contacts, and it hasnt happened since. i would much rather have the simpsons clip than tha mariachi clip i had! and whatever you do, call the customer service number of your carrier before you take it into a store. if you have verizon like i do the store people are worthless

  • How to delete unwanted audio at end of movie

I want to use an audio clip at the end of a movie, but it is too long for the video. I cut the audio at the playhead, then delete the last portion. So far so good. But the space where the audio was remains blank at the end for several minutes. In other words, it hangs over and causes unnecessary empty space. Is there a current fix for this problem?
G4 Dual   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   all software updates

    Hi d
This I think is a bug that has been in iMovie for several versions.
In iMovie 6 I would start a new project and move over my movie part for part
    till it is rebuilt.
My learning from this situation was to cut up the audio in advance in more
    sutable lenght.
There seems to be audio material hiding far out to the right (under the end
of TimeLine - unreachable) This will give Error #-1 in iDVD when trying to
    burn a DVD disk.

  • Beep tone and other unwanted audio sounds

I've looked through earlier posts, and see that this is a known issue. Also, it's been around for over three years since it was being discussed back then when I got my G5.
In my case I think it's gotten a little worse over time.
Sounds I hear, when the G5 is being monitored through an amplifier and speakers in a quiet environment are: Constand fairly high pitched, steady tone, similar to color bars tone. Continuous beeping, like heart monitor. Static and other garbage sounds when screen is updated.
In earlier posts I see that Apple pretty much discounts this. And haven't seen anyone posting an answer.
It's not awful, but it's annoying, and I agree with many... This kind of machine, which is used in so many studio applications, should not create audio sounds.
AppleCare suggested buying better cables to go from the G5 to the Amp. This did help, and I'm thinking of buying one of those super Monster type of cables to see if that helps even more.
They say it's a Ground Loop issue, which is complicated, and to eliminate it they suggest buying an isolation transformer. Not clear to me if that's used on the AC, or something you run the audio signal through.
At any rate, anyone out there with a definitive answer, would love to hear from you.
Mine seems to be related to the operation of the G5 and Amp together. This sets off these Ground Loop problems. When I monitor the G5 with head phones, I can't hear the problem. This may be related to the fact that to hear it you have to run the signal through an amp and boost the volume on the amp. Possibly there's not enough gain, when listening through phones, to hear the problem. But I think it has to do with interference when amp + computer are hooked together.
Running G5 into a Yamanha 777 amp/receiver. Sounds definitely originate with the G5.

    JonG1-
That is a good description of some of the sounds that I have heard. It is really hard to pinpoint the source of some. I am convinced that most of the whining comes from my graphics card.
One of the worst culprits I have are a pair of external seagate drives that when powered on and accessed make some very annoying sounds. I think the sound has to do with FireWire data transfers. No matter what I did I could not get rid of the sound. The only thing that worked was turning off the drives.
Have you had the wiring in your house checked? I found most of the outlets in my house to be grounded properly except the ones where I was using the computer. Go figure.
Do you have this unit on a UPS? Sometimes the units that do not put out a true sin wave make those annoying noises worse.
IMHO monster cable products are very overrated and extremely over-priced.
Could you reference the posts where Apple discounts noise? My experience is that they are very forthcoming with suggestions to mitigate said noise. Ground loop is not really that complicated to troubleshoot. Plug a terminal strip into the wall and the computer, monitor, amp and speakers if powered into it. How's the noise?
Forgive me if you have seen it but I have found this document on audio noise solutions to be useful. It does address your gain concerns.
That is all I can think of at the moment.
    Luck-

  • How do I get rid of unwanted audios that present no easy closure?

Every so often I get 'shocked' by some kind of audio -- usually a sales pitch -- suddenly blasting out at me after I innocently clicked on something. There is no apparent way of cutting it off, and I want to know how to do it without just shutting down Firefox and losing everything I already have on it . . . my present 'exit of last resort'.

  • Logic bounces unwanted audio when exporting audio to movie

    Hey all,
So as the title says, Logic seems to be bouncing a few tracks that i've now completely deleted from the Logic project. I even removed them from the bin.
Every time I try to export audio to movie these audio tracks come up in the exported .mov. I have no clue why this is happening. Any thoughts?

    Hi
Are these audio tracks that were/are embedded in the movie?
When bouncing to a (new) movie, these audio tracks are automatically included unless you opt out (de-select them).

?Update: Well, i figured out it is wired correctly because if I go into "gaming mode" it works properly. I have the problem when in entertainment mode or audio creation mode. I tried to replicate all the settings in the gaming mode into entertainment mode but still no go.. Update 2: I uninstalled all x-fi sofware and took out anything in the registry. After reinstalling, it worked like normal. I then started fiddling and somewhere in my "fiddling" process I noticed?the sud?wasn't working anymore. What was happening before is now mirrored back to the Suroundleft/sub. So now the subwoofer is playing whatever the SL is playing and the sub channel plays nowhere. I went into Game mode and it worked untill I went into the?bass management. hmmm..

  • Unwanted audio compression

    Can anyone help?!!
I'm trying to output a movie to tape but it keeps compressing the audio. Louder passages keep being knocked down. I don't understand why as I have not added an audio compression filter. It's not compressed when I play it in the timeline. Any ideas anyone??
Mac Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    and a teensy bit more:
Your problem could have just as much to do with the "soundsticks". I just looked them up. They are small speakers intended to be used as computer speakers. They in no way represent or emulate a studio monitor that one might use to make audio decisions. Even if they sound great... in fact especially if they sound great. If they make "improvements" on your sound, then those are improvements your listeners aren't going to hear.
This should pretty much make the case: "SoundSticks II employs a new computer-optimized multi-band parametric equalization."
So the problems you're having could be originating with the prejudices of those epeakers affecting your audio processing decisions, which in turn affect what comes out the other end.
To have it come out sounding like "compression" is a little odd, but it may just have to do with your relative perception of the sound coming from these different speakers.
The best way to judge audio is in a clean soft neutral environment, with good nearfield monitors. In addition (and not simultaneously) you should be able to hear some representation of how your mix is going to sound on a little 3" speaker in an average TV set. One way to do that is to play it through your TV set.
