RE: http://www.elportalimaging.com/losbanos.html
in ie10.0.11 there are unwanted color lines around two left sidebar rollover cells I just set up.
How do I get rid of them?
Chrome and Firefox look fine.
Thank you,
John

Thank you for your help,  Jon!
Sorry, I am not sure how to add to my css…
Do I add it as a new selector?  Or?

  • My Mac Book Pro suddenly gets stuck with weird horizontal colored lines across the screen, which will only go once I restart the laptop. What can I do?

Randomly while scrolling, the screen just goes beserk and gets stuck with random colored lines. And, the only way to get rid of this is to restart my entire computer. My laptop is about 3 years old now. Is this a sign of age or what? What can I do to run my laptop smoothly without turning it off and on every time it goes crazy?

  • I have very thin, colored lines running vertical on my desktop monitor screen.  I don't know where they come from or how to get rid of them.  I started with one and now have three.  Can anyone give me some insight about what to do in getting rid of them?

I have very thin, colored lines that have shown up on my IMac monitor screen.  I don't know where they came from or how to get rid of them.  I'm concerned now because I started with one and now have three.  Does any know why this occurs or how to get rid of them?

I got an address from Applecare, although I can't place my hand on it right now. I didn't bother persuing the letter route myself as I didn't expect much. I know that the location was Cork, Ireland though as that where the UK Applecare is based as far as I'm aware. The best thing to do is to call Applecare (if it's free) and discuss the issue. State that you are not happy wit the fact that you will have to pay to have the problem resolved especiiay if it is an ongoing problem that has not been resolved. I ended up speaking to a senior manager of the Applecare team who then proceeded to tell me about mailing in my grievence to customer services division or something like that.
If I can find the address I may post it if I'm allowed.
In the case of age, Schools usually have a 5-year life-cycle as they tend to be used differently than consumer machines, i.e. being used constantly on a daily basis for at least 12 hours with no break. you would expect issues to appear after a few years, but I expect problems that arise through defects to be resolved and stay resolved. As I mentioned we had machines for around 2 years before the lines appeared and sent them to be repaired. I'm happy with that. What I am unhappy about is the fact that the problem has reappeared exactly in the same way and now I'm left with around 7 machines that I either pay loads to repair or, the more likely replace the machines with newer ones since the age is now big enough to warrant the replacement.
Sorry for the lengthy moan, but these are the reasons I purchased Apple ahrdware in the first place to avoid the "not our problem" stance some PC vendors  usually take, similar to the Dell monitors thread mentioned in here somewhere.

  • My iPod Touch (5th generation) is not responding to my touch. There are also several colored lines in the background of my screen. Virus?

Since my iPod isn't responding to my touch, I can't switch it off or restart it as I normally would. I've tried doing the hold-down-the-sleep-button-and-the-home-button-for-ten-seconds thing but when the Apple logo appears, it's either completely pink in color or there are these vertical colored lines in the background. When the lock screen reappears, sometimes it looks completely normal (but it still doesn't respond), or everything's blurred, or there are these weird colours in the background, or those lines I mentioned before, but most of the times, it's completely dark and I can onlu see this moving flash at the bottom of the screen (indicating the presence of the slide to unlock thing).
My computer was recently reformatted because it had had a virus, so I'm worried my iPod has gotten the virus too. I have some data on there that I really can't lose. (I haven't backed up this data because my computer had been on the fritz for the past two weeks).
Is taking it to an Apple Help Centre the only cure? (I purchased the item in March 2013; Is there any chance I can get it replaced for free?) I tried moving the photos from the device to my PC but it says there are no photos in my device. (I've moved my photos before when I'd forgotten my password and was about to reset it.)
I would really like some advice ASAP because if it is a virus, the longer I keep it untouched, the more havoc it causes. i fear.

I do not think talking to Apple will do more than the following:
    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Grab is not working. It's taking pictures fine, but the pictures are colored lines.

I have used Grab in the past just fine. It takes nice, big pictures of anything on my screen. Yesterday, I used grab like I normally would, and it took a picture that was the same size as what I had selected, but the picture wasn't there. It was just a bunch of black and colored thin horizontal lines. It does this for all the features...capture, selection, window, timed screen, etc. They all are full of colored lines!!! How can I fix this? I use grab a lot, so I would like to fix it ASAP!
    Thanks!

Grab (or something like it) can be a very useful utility, but I'd suggest downloading the free SnapnDrag http://www.yellowmug.com/snapndrag/, which is easier to use and has equal or better functionality. I haven't had experience with Grab - but SnapnDrag will solve your issue with a download. It's a solid application that's been around for years.

  • White with vertical colored lines on Equium A60

    Hi
I am new to this but really need your help. My laptop is about 18 months old and has always worked fine. Last week I plugged a broadband modem into it through an Ethernet cable and set up broadband. A couple of minutes after doing this when I looked at the screen again, it had gone all white with vertical colored lines down it. I have rebooted the machine etc and that is all I ever get now. As soon as I switch on, it just goes straight to white with these vertical colored lines.
I have tried connecting an external monitor to it and that works fine. The laptop is a Toshiba Equium A60. I am worried that the screen has blown, is it possible for a surge or something like that to come down the Ethernet cable and blow the screen?
    Thanks
    Adrian

Display functionality has nothing to do with Ethernet cable. Test with external monitor is very good and on this way you can see if maybe graphic card is responsible for that.
According to your description I believe that display is the problem. Of course, just intensive display test can give more answers.

I have colorful lines going through my iphone 4s screen. What can I do to get rid of them?

    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:

    Restoring  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you try all these steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

  • Spool output conatins unwanted blank line

    Hi all,
I've just written a new program that outputs a report to the spool when run in batch mode. The report looks great aside from an unwanted blank line that appears in the middle of the report when I view the spool...if I run the program from the command line and set the sy-batch variable to write the spool contents to the screen I see no blank line. how do I get rid of the blank line?  Thanks in advacne for any assitance provided.
    Mat

    Hi Mat,
The blank line you see on the spool (as distinct from the screen) is probably a page break.  The spool will always apply a page format and split the list according to the length of the page.
I guess you can get round this by creating a page format with the maximum number of lines (99999 lines).
    Regards,
    Nick

  • Unwanted Horizontal lines in PDF (print to file)

From any other program, printing to Adobe PDF produces a pdf file that contains unwanted horizontal lines, oddly spaced, on entire page. Have tried multiple settings/configs and am unable to stop this annoying behavior. Any tips are appreciated.

Me too! Just yesterday, Aug. 4!
I get horizontal lines about 0.4 inches apart on the prints, but no lines on the PDF on the monitor. They just show up on the print.
It happened the day I ran malware and virus scans in the morning.
It only affects prints from PDFs created by SolidWorks.  WORD documents print fine.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled my HP printer software.
I did the repair for Adobe reader 9.3.3
I even changed my ink cartridges that were low.
    What else can I try?
What caused this? Is it because our names are Paul?
I tried to contact Adobe without spending $39, but was unsuccessful. I thought maybe they would like to know about problems. Is the forum the only way to do that?

  • 17" Studio Monitor Display with single, vertical color line

My 17" Studio Monitor just recently developed a single, vertical color line in the display. No matter what I am viewing the color line is there. Re-boot doesn't remove it. Neither does un-plugging the computer.
Anyone know the cause and/or remedy?
    Thanks for any help!

There is an adapter called a DVIator that you will need ..or something similar. It will turn turn the ADC connection into a DVI connection ..then you would need something to turn regular DVI into the Mini DVI connection to fit into the iMac.
Personally, I don't think it would be worth the cost ..the DVIator alone is like $100. I'd just buy a new screen for that price. Preferably one that was a little closer to the same brightness of the 24" iMac's screen. I had my old Studio display next to my new 24" iMac and it looked so old and dingy I wouldn't be able to stand the difference using it as a second monitor.

  • Vertical Color Lines on my imported file how can i remove and edit

Vertical Color Lines on my imported file how can i remove and edit

If you haven't used After Effects before, you should understand that posession of a template is NO guarantee of success without prior AE knowledge.  It appears you haven't used AE before.
The color bars indicate a missing file, and your screen shot reveals no text layers. Looking at the precomp names, opening the one called, "edit text" might be useful.
I will guess that the following would be even more useful:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2010/01/getting-started-with-after-eff.html
Without knowledge of the AE basics, templates are pretty much useless.

  • I have the original iPad and today 2 inches of the screen went to all color lines. Cant' work or play?

I have the original ipad. Today 2 inches of the screen went to straight color lines. Can't change it! Can't read or work. HELP!!!! Please : )

    Sounds like hardware failure.
Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

  • Ipad had colored lines running through the screen

My ipad first generation which i love now has colored lines running through the screen.  Can it be fixed?

    Howdy diana,
It sounds like your iPad has mulitcolored lines all over it. I would recommend a few things here to help isolate the issue to software or hardware. Try restarting the phone with this article:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the issue persists, I would next try reseting the device with the same article:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue is not resolved, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it as a new device to see if the lines are still there. If not then restore your backup and verify they are still gone.
iOS: How to back up and restore your content
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
If the lines are there even when setup as a new device, your iPad may need service:

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,
    Sterling
