Removing unwanted workflow feeds form Podcast Producer Libary

I know how to remove workflows from the server – Podcast Composer > Open Remote > Delete Workflow. I've also used Terminal for removing feeds.
But.
Even after doing these things I still have unwanted feeds in the workflow section of my Podcast Library.
Has anybody else encountered this issue? Anybody worked out a solution?

You have 2 options, both are using the podcast command line
1- remove the feed using podcast --removefeed --feed_uuid UIID
2- disable the feed using podcast --disablefeed --feed_uuid UIID
UUID is the feed_uuid of the workflow feed

An RSS feed suddenly appeared in my Safari RSS reader list. That was odd enough, but when I deleted it from my list of feeds in my Safari bookmarks, it's still showing up in my feed.
How do I delete an item from my RSS feed list?
Second question, I wonder how this one got there in the first place?

Quicktime broadcaster how tosave life feed to .mov

Hello,
after quite a bit of fiddling, I finally figure out how to stream live A/V to the internet using Quicktime broadcaster, Darwin Streaming server and Mavericks Server.
Now the last hurdle is trying to save the live feed into a file such as .mov, but I am not sure how that can be done.
In the Quicktime broadcaster, there is a check box next to the Broadcast button that says Record to disk. but it seems only record to a .sdp file. How can I record to a .mov?

Well good news... I've solved my own problem. So I thought I'd share my fix. As it turns out, I needed my Yamaha USB mixer... the feed just would not work internally. In the computer Preferences, my Sound Output setting is now set to "Built in audio" and piped out to my Yamaha Mixer via mini-jack to Stereo RCA cable. Next the Sound Input setting is set to the USB Codec which is the send from my Yamaha USB mixer. Then Simply iTunes outputs to the mixer via internal audio and QuickTime Broadcaster collects the audio feed via the USB connection. No more horrible feedback loops, and a steady feed that hasn't dropped out all night.
One other point, there is a buffer delay of two minutes which for some reason I forgot to take into account. So sound adjustments are slow and require quite a long wait to see if the setting adjustments requires more tweaking when listening to the feed over the internet. So a good idea is to use a good peak limiter to cap your feed.
I hope this helps someone in the future.

Stopping unwanted RSS feeds

I recently had my mail and address book upgraded by the Genius bar staff and I cannot stop two feeds that appeared in the left hand column of mail HOT APPLE NEWS & BBC. In Mail Preferences> RSS the default is safari & manual and in Rules there is no RSS rules to delete. Any clues? they just keep coming and its getting annoying. I have deleted all the RSS feeds in bookmarks in safari to no avail.
Is it best to reselect then delete?

Please don't tell me to "right-click" my mouse because I am using a macbook and I have no mouse, just the track-pad and right-clicking it does nothing different than left-clicking it. Or for that matter, than standing on my head and singing Celine Dion. Other than annoying my girlfriend.
I have tried setting my preferences to manual update, even to making Safari the default RSS reader but I can't remove the feeds themselves from the email account.
I have a Macbook, use Safari, Leopard, OS X 10.5 if that helps.

Dude, first the right-click thing... You can achieve the equivalent by holding down the control key and clicking -- you'll see a contextual menu pop up. Cool, huh?
Now, control-click on that unwanted RSS feed and choose delete feed. Happy day!

Updated plug-ins, you tube/life stream still stopping and starting

My computer has always run you tube video/life feed fine. Last week it started starting and stopping, I updated adobe plug ins yesterday, it was running great. Today it is stopping and starting again? Any Advice? I've run anti-virus scan-- fine-- restarted it twice.

I integrated the 3 scripts: uidRangeFilter, gidRangeFilter and freeId in the install-script as functions. Some error-checking is missing ... You can try and if all conditions are fullfilled it will install. All conditions means (I think) a free uid below 1001 and a free gid below 101. Maybe some other things ...
You can change the range in which the values are choosen in getFreeUid and getFreeGid (although I could pass the values as parameters to these functions ...). Normally if all goes well, the asterisk-user won't show up in your login-console normally.

Looking for a WebObjects Developer

Not a technical question, but I think this is relevant to the list. If not, please let me know.
I am undertaking a new project, and am looking for a WebObject/Wonder developer to work with. If you know me, you know I went through an unfortunate (and unwanted) life change related to divorce and I took a big hit to my business. But I'm through most of that now, and I am looking to put the pieces back together.
One of those pieces was the flagship software-as-a-service product of my company. In the cataclysm of divorce and business partner breakup, I lost my source code, server infrastructure, everything. So now I'm starting from scratch. Well, not entirely. I am re-designing my product, taking the lessons learned and improving. That's what life is all about, right?
I need a developer to work with, for the next few months (on the side if fully engaged already, or some other commitment), to help me take my product from this design phase to launch (at least release one -- I have no illusions about building a 100%-feature complete WO app, ever). The developer doesn't need to be local (as a matter of fact, I prefer a global sourcing), but he/she does need to be a WebObjects/Wonder person, and understand that this project has to be built from the ground up in a way that I can manage with limited staff going forward. In other words, simple design, automated build/deployments, Selenium tags integrated into the HTML, etc.
I have a design brief I can share, if someone is interested. From there, we can figure out the logistical and cost details. So, if you or someone you know is interested, please reach out to me.

The "square" symbol that you are referring to is probably a CRLF (Carriage Return - Life Feed) Control Character.
This is more commonly known as a "Enter" at the end of a line / sentence.
To clean this character from strings in Java, please use:
String patternStr = "(?m)$^|[\\r\\n]+\\z";
String replaceStr = " ";
Pattern pattern = Pattern.compile(patternStr);
Matcher matcher = pattern.matcher(inputStr);
return matcher.replaceAll(replaceStr);

you probably are able to create labels using an external design program and to print them from within a sapscript form.
and you need a special printer of course...
what are the activities?
i assume:
*Create the label using a design program: Define the entire layout of the label, including the fields you later want to fill from within the R/3 system;
*Download the print file: Export the data using the printer commands of the design program. The printer commands must be in ASCII format, that is, you can use only printable characters plus carriage return, line feed, and, maybe, form feed. In addition, the file must not comprise more than 80 characters per line; otherwise unwanted line feeds may occur during upload. There must be no binary control characters (for example, escape);
*Upload the print file into the SAPscript form: Upload the print file into a SAPscript standard text. However, you use this standard text as "intermediate storage" only. Then copy the text into a SAPscript form. In the form, enter variables of the print program (program symbols) in those places where you want variable data to appear in the label. At runtime, the system fills these variables with the current field values from the application program;
*Adapt the form: For most label printers you must adapt the form; for example, you must enlarge the MAIN window to maximum page size and delete all other windows. In addition, the MAIN window should contain only one single text element: the imported print file.
*Create an output device: Define an output device for label printing. As device type use either ASCIIPRI or one of the special device types for label printers.

Implementing PaaS (CloudFoundry/BOSH) feeds a huge number of (unwanted) ProtectionServers into DPM

We have a Hyper-v cluster with VM's on Cluster Shared Volumes, we are using System Center (2012 R2) VMM and DPM for backing up the core infrastructure and a selection of vm's from some of our VMM clouds.
Ongoing work is to implement a PaaS with Hyper-V/System Center - with use of CloudFoundry/BOSH. Due to a lot of unity tests many short lived vm's are made that we never want to backup with DPM. It looks like that the DPM Agent on the Hyper-v hosts in the
cluster feeds all vm's that it sees into DPM as a ProtectionServer - even though these VM's do not have any DPM Agent installed.
Doing this SQL in the DPM Database:
SELECT count(*) FROM [DPMDB_MyDPM].[dbo].[vw_DPM_Server]
Gives 5531 entires. A huge number of these entires are from the PaaS CloudFoundry/Bosh created VM's in the IaaS. These are VM's that never have been backed up by DPM (Or have any DPM agent installed).
We see the same with use of powershell:
PS C:\> $ps = Get-ProductionServer | Where-Object {$_.Name -like "*bosh_vm_being_created*"}
PS C:\> $ps.length
5294
PS C:\>
* The huge number of (unwanted) Production Servers in our DPM causes that our DPM is going slower and slower. And we see that our DPM SQL Database is working more and more. Today we are only taking backup of around 20 VM's, the SystemCenter MSSQL and a few
hosts with DPM agent.
Question 1 - How can we remove these unwanted ("bosh_vm_being_created") ProductionServers from our DPM? They do not have any DPM agent installed, they have no recovery point in DPM. But still they are listed in DPM as a ProductionServer. Why?
Question 2 - How can we configure DPM to filter out these PaaS/CloudFoundry/Bosh VM's so that they do not reach the DPM system?

Unfortunately I have no solution on my case yet. The number of ProductionServers in our DPM server is growing and growing. And our DPM is going slower and slower.

It must be an purg-job that is not cleaning out old VM's (objects) from the DPM server I guess. I our VMM we only have around 200 VM's. So most of the ProductionServers in our DPM is old VM's that no longer exist.
When we try to use
Remove-ProductionServer.ps1 powershell to remove one of these ProductionServers - we get an error because the VM do no longer exist (and the VM do not have any agent installed).
Do anyone have any experience with this?

8620 printer automatic feed generates an unwanted line in the center of the page

When using the automatic paper feed for copying or scanning, a line appears exactly in the center of the page, as the page is printed. This does not occur when using the flat bed scanner.

Cannot vadidate XML feed

I am producing an xml feed for itunes, but every time I try and validate it, i get the error message: Undefined itunes:category element: item.
I copy and pasted the code from the apple website and inputted my own details. Any suggestions? Here is the code:
