Twice a day my Photosmart 7525 prints 'crap' on its' own that is useless to me.  It is wasting my ink.  How do I stop this un-asked-for printing?

Hi,
That is more likely a Schedule Delivery Prinable you wrogly signed up from teh Apps menu.
A printable should have its name listed on the bottom of the printed page.
Expend the Managing Scheduled Delivery Printables > Managing Scheduled Delivery Printables section below and follow the steps for your region to disable its printing and remove the printable:

  • A new tab now appears over my home page which is set correctly; the same tab appears when I want to print from internet and I CAN'T PRINT.

A new tab has suddenly appears over my home page when I go online. I don't know where this came from; is it a Mozilla Firefox thing? Even worse, when I try to print from internet, this page appears instead of my printer box and I am unable to print what I want.

You may have an unwanted extension that is modifying sites (or the toolbar area). Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    Does that flush the tab?
Please report back on anything suspicious you find so others can learn about its bad behavior.

  • Officejet 4500 will not print from internet.

Printer will only print e-mails, will not print anything from internet.  "Unspecified error, Line 2107, Char1, Code0 res://ieframe.dll/preview.js" appears when ever I try to print from internet.

The issue is caused when Windows creates the printer profile in the control panel that it doesn't correctly create it with the drivers.
We're not going to completely uninstall all the HP software, instead we're going to remove the corrupt Windows printer profile and reinstall it.  Total time for this on an average computer is about 5-10 minutes to completely repair (including reboot).
    1) Navigate to Start Menu > Devices and Printers or Start Menu > Control Panel > Printers
    2) Select each printer profile for the printer with an issue, then select remove device/printer.
    3) Reboot
    4) Navigate to Start Menu > All Programs > HP > insert model # here > Add Printer (or Setup Wizard)
    5) Follow the setup prompts to reinstall the printer profile and it recreates the Windows printer.
    6) Test by printing google.com (uses very little ink when the test page comes out).
Let me know if you have any questions or issues.
    Thanks,

  • I have an iPad 2.  I cannot get it to print from our Hp photosmart 6525 printer.  Both Hp and apple say these machines can use AirPrint.  Can anyone help

I have an iPad 2 and cannot get it to print from our p photosmart 6525 printer.  Does anyone know how to get the AirPrint to work between these two machines?

    Hi,
As soon as the devices connected to your network the printer should appear as AirPrint.
You may ensure it is connected by clicking the wireless icon on the printer screen to locate its IP, then type the IP into Safari and check if you can access the printer homepage from your iPad.
If the printer conncted but still not being detected as AirPrint, ensure you have the latest firmware for your printer:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03312867&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en &product=5271613&tmp_track_link=ot_search
If the printer still not being dedected I would rather suspect the network as AirPrint uses Apple Bonjour and therefore require your network to support multicasting to operate..
You may test it by temporary setting direct connection using Wireless Direct, if the printer being detected without using the router please clarify your router brand and model to better understand your router capabiities.
The steps to enable Wireless Direct can be found listed below:

  • Cant print from internet on my d1660.

cant print from internet without restarting the spooler. and have lots of trouble then. usually prints ok from desktop office.

Have you ever had another printer installed on this computer? If so, it is possible that the wrong printer is selected in some of your software settings.

  • Fax from computer to photosmart 7525 gets cancelled after spooling

I can fax directly from printer, but when I use the HP software or print function on the computer to set up fax and send, the progress goes from spooling to cancelled without any error notices. I have a Dell XPS 8500 running 8.1 and Photosmart 7525 connected by USB and wirelessly. They communicate just fine with the scan and print functions. Both are current on updates using the check for updates utility. I have a dedicated Voip phone line from Comcast and ther most current modem that I have slowed through the fax settings. I've spent hours reading forums on HP and Microsoft searching for exactly this issue. Please help

    Hi @xskilledtrades
The truth is, I don't know what is causing the fax from computer function to fail. I understand from your description that the fax is cancelling after spooling, but that you can print and scan just fine as well as fax directly from the printer. I suspect the issue has something to do with the driver, thus I suggest we remove the driver and reload it.
Please use the following steps to delete the printer/fax from device and printers, and the driver from the server properties.
    1. In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder
    2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.
Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.
    3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window
    4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’
    5. Choose 'Remove driver only'
    6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this.
If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue, or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and the printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed.
If the you continue to get an 'in use' message follow the steps in the document here; The Specified Printer Driver is Currently in Use
After the driver is removed, open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Printer folder > HP Setup and Software (or the printer icon).
The Setup and software screen will open and you can click on Connect a new printer.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing back from you.

  • Cannot Print from Internet Pages

Hi, I have my HP Photosmart 5510 Printer connected to my laptop via Wi Fi. I can print successfully from files on the laptop ( such as word docs ), but if I try to print from an internet page, including E-mails, nothing happens. No items even appear in the printing list ( when I select 'see what is printing' ). I have reinstalled printer drivers from the HP website, but this does not cure the problem. Please help. Regards, Bob P.

Hi ,  I have done some research and found a few things for you to try. Please perform the steps outlined below and let me know the outcome of your efforts:  Method 1: Try printing a webpage running Internet Explorer as an Administrator. To start Internet Explorer as an Administrator, follow these steps: a)    Close all Internet Explorer windows.b)    Click Start, click All Programs, right-click Internet Explorer and select Run As Administrator.c)    Browse to a website and try test printing a page while running as the Administrator. If the issue persists, try next method. Method 2: Try printing after disabling Protected Mode. Try printing a webpage after disabling Protected Mode, to do this, follow these steps: a)    Click the Tools icon in Internet Explorerb)    Click the Security tab and uncheck the checkbox beside Enable Protected Mode (requires restarting Internet Explorer)c)    Click Apply, and then click OK.d)    Close all open Internet Explorer windows, and then restart Internet Explorer.e)    Browse to a website and try test printing a page while running as the Administrator. If the issue persists, try next method. Method 3:
Set IE as default browser. Follow the steps for the same: a. From the Start screen, type Default Programs, and select the Apps filter.
    b. Click Default Programs in the search results.
    c. Click Set your Default Programs.
    d. Choose Internet Explorer from the list.
    e. Select Set this program as default, and then click OK. For further reference, refer the following Microsoft article. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/choose-programs-windows-uses-default - Source If the issue persists, it might be a good idea to run the Microsoft fix it utility to Diagnose and fix printer and printing problems automatically. Please let me know if you can print after you try these suggested solutions. Thanks.

  • More questions on printing from internet

While I was waiting for an answer to my original question (why my printer won't print from the internet) I found the following two preconditions:
    -  Requires an Internet connection to the printer
    - Requires HP Web Services Account Registration
So now I also need to know if I have the above qualifications. How do I find this information?
I shall continue to pursue the ansswers but I appreciate any help.
    Thanks!
    SALLYANNC

    Hi SALLYANNC,
Just to clarify, you are able to print from the computer but not from the internet?
I would try printing from another browser to see if you have the same results.
    Try a different browser.
If you are using Google Chrome as a web browser, please do the following steps:
Run the updates for Chrome, to make sure you have the latest version.
Then open the Chrome's browser, go to settings, tools, clear browsing data, clear the cache and site date if listed.
Close and reopen the browser again.
    Try printing again.
If you are still having issues, try The Ctrl+Shift+P to see if it will print.
Update the Java on the computer.
Go to start, control panel, Java, click on the Update tab and select Update Now.
I suggest that you to try these steps to resolve this issue if you are using Internet Explorer.
Method 1: Look at the Security settings for Internet Explorer.
    1. Open the Internet Explorer. Click on Tools.
    2. Click on Internet Options->Under the Security Tab->Security Level Zone->Click on Default Level->Drag the Scroll button and set the Security as Medium level.
Method 2: You can also add the sites from which you are trying to print to the Trusted Zone which will restore the functionality of these sites.
    1. Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools-Internet Options-Security.
    2. Click the "Security" tab and choose the "Trusted Sites" icon.
    3. Then click on the button "Sites". A window will open, where you can add any sites that you wish to be in the Trusted zone.
    4. Enter the site of interest in the line provided. Site URLs can be typed in directly or entered by copying and pasting. After entering a site click the "Add" button.
    5. The site is now added to the list of trusted sites.
    6. Enter the next site and repeat the procedure.
Method 3: Also check the following settings:
    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
    3. Click the Advanced tab.
    4. Under Browsing check the option “Enable third party Browser Extensions”.
If you are using Firefox, then take a look at this document. Fix printing problems in Firefox.
What web browser are you using? (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer)
Are you printing a email or a webpage?
Let me know how you make out.

  • HP PSC1610 won't print from internet. Error message says connect computer.

When trying to print from the internet my printer start to accept the paper, but then spits it out with nothing on it.   I looked at the help menu and an ERROR message said  "no connection; connect computer or install device software.  This has never happened in the past until I installed new ink cartridges.   I unplugged and disconnected the printer then reconnected, etc.  Same problem.  Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer.  Installation successful, showed connection to computer, but failed to print document.  The error message is the same.    Help!   Thanks Xara

Actually this is an addendum to the above.  the computer used to send the command to the printer uses Windows XP.  When the command is sent the printer goes into warm up mode for 2-3 seconds and I hear the parts moving before it spits the blank paper out and aborts. The printer queue is empty on my XP as if the job was finished.  Thanks  Xara
