Unwanted Work Items in inbox

Dear all,
i AM GETTING AN UNWANTED WORK ITEEM IN THE BUSINESS WORK PLACE IN THE CASE OF INBOUND PROCESSING OF IDOC Orders.
eVEN THOUGHT THE ORDER IS POSTED PERFECTLY.
IDoc 0000000001529080: status 53 cannot be
processed
Thanks in advance

Hi ,
Please check the following this may be one of the reason :
IF you are using message type ORDERS--> if you select the post processing flag is available.
if you maintain this with your user ID, for example, you'll find that on failing to post an IDOC, a workflow is triggered, which notifies the SAP inbox of the user/role/task you've maintained in WE20 .
Please remove the post processing flag or remove your User ID.

    HI,
we  are using a text editor in approval section of workflow where the user needs to enter the reason for apporval or rejection.
the requirement is how to retain the work item in inbox of user if user press the icon cancel? there are two icons in editor, one is ok(tick marg) and cancel(cross mark).
so when user dont enter any text in the editor and press on cancel icon, then approval/rejection should not authorize and work item will remain in the user's inbox .unless and untill he enters the text.
i have tried   LEAVE TO TRANSACTION 'SBWP'.leave program etc but nothing is working.
    please guide me.
    thanks

    Hi,
    Go with Sangvir Singh suggestion.
It also looks neater from a Business Process Modeling perspective. You continue the process flow only when a change has occurred.

  • How to stop workitem complete or how to keep work item in inbox based on conditions even if it completed

    Hi,
my requirement is to call webdyn pro screen from workflow..
i am calling webdynpro screen by using FM :CALL_BROWSER from workflow.
when webdyn pro screen is called user will enter some values . if user closed webdyn pro screen with out entering any values we need show this workitem in his inbox. so that user can again open it and enter values in the webdyn pro screen.
Please help how to stop work item complete based on conditions.
    Thanks,
    phani

    Hi,
As per my understanding, this is not a proper approach toy call web dynpro using FM CALL_BROWSER. is the web dynpro screen being called when user clicks on the work item from portal UWL OR from SAP SBWP ?
if you are calling web dynpro screen from portal UWL when user clicks on work item link, better you achieve it using SWFVISU tcode. in SWFVISU tcode you can maintain which web dynpro. application to call when particualr work item task come in user's inbox. in your web dynpro code, then you can write your buisiness logic when user clicks for example SUBMIT/SAVE button. on action submit/save button you can use FM SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE to complete the worktiem once the user clicks on final submit/save button. in this way the workitem will get removed from user inbox only upon clicking on submit/save button.
You can refer below link for web dynpro for workitem:

  • "Cancel and Keep Work Item in Inbox" Not working ??

    Hi Experts,
We need your help in resolving a workflow issue. Issue is, When user gets an Invoice to approve (Non PO), she opens the invoice, do some changes, and park it. Then she gets Option button to either u201CApproveu201D, u201CRejectu201D, u201CCancel and Keep Work Item in Inboxu201D. When she clicks u201CCancel and keep work itemu2026u201D, ideally the work item should remain in her SAP Inbox, however it is getting executed and gone from her workflow. I found that work item in her SAP Outbox xecuted state.
Same thing happens when they try to forward the work item. She gets an option( a checkbox) to Keep a copy of the work item in her SAP Inbox as well, but that option is also not working and the work item gets transferred without leaving a copy into her SAP Inbox.
    SAP System ECC 6.0
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Sid

    Hello,
Is this in SBWP or UWL? Does it only happen to one user? Does it only happen with one workflow?
Check in the workflow log if there is anything unusual.

  • Open work items to keep in inbox

    Hi Experts,
I am executing work item from sap inbox  it will calls the z modulepool screen. Hear I have 3 options. Approve, reject and cancel.
If I want press cancel I want keep the work item in inbox in same user.
For that what can I do .
If I use the FM u2026SAP_WAPI_PUT_BACK_WORKITEM how do get the work item ID into z screen (zprog).
Or if I redesign the workflow with loop to same use. How can set the loop.
    Please suggest.

You can pass the workitem through binding and execute the FM you have mentioned.
    &_WORKINGWI.WORK ITEM ID&.
If this container is not available you can get the Instance Id which you will surely get and go to
    SWWWIHEAD Table
Provide the Instance Id as TOP_WI_ID
WI_RH_TASK will be the activity task that calls module pool
    WI_STAT as <> COMPLETED

  • Auto Refresh work items in POWL iview

    Hi Experts,
We are using EP 7.3 and ECC 6.0 EHP 5. MSS add-on 1.0
We are using MSS Inbox as POWL.
When we processed any work item in Inbox, the same work item still appearing (after approve) in inbox. When we click on "Refresh" link the approved work item is disappearing. Every time click on "Refresh" link is difficult.
Link to refresh work task items is available but user requires this to be done automatically upon processing of an item.
    Advance Thanks.
    Regards,
    Srinivasu.Y

    Hi Siddharth,
I appreciate your help. I checked POWL configuration SPRO-->Cross-Application Components --> Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications --> Inbox --> Define Tasks and Actions --> Create or Change Actions
    here refresh type is empty.
I Changed Refresh type to "OPTIMISTIC".
changes are reflected in table IBO_C_WF_ACC
    Not in table IBO_C_WF_ACS
do i need to change the Refresh type in Standard table IBO_C_WF_ACS also?
issue is not fixed after changed in Refresh type also. please let me know if i missed any step?
Issue: Manager approving Travel request in MSS inbox using POWL. when Manager clickes Task new window will open to approve/Reject. when he approved, the work item is not refreshed until click on "Refresh" link in POWL inbox.

  • Number of work Items that can resie at time

    Hi All,
Is there any specific number up to which work items are there in Inbox. In my scenario, work items were there till 3 days back and they weree able to approve.but all of a sudden they are not getting any new work item in Inbox but I see the Items notification.
Also do we need to reset the buffer after some time in Prdouction client.
    Thanks

    Hi John
A couple of things to check.  If you are using the Universal Worklist in EP, try using the refresh link and see if this changes the workitems.  If this is the case it could be that your BASIS people will have to look at the refresh rate of the UWL.  Also ensure the workflows are still registered for use in the UWL.
You reset the buffer using transaction SWU_OBUF, but I cant see how this would be causing your issue.  Most likely to be UWL refresh issue.
    Regards

  • Workflow loop, return the work item to the inbox, instead of automatically executing the work item

    Hello all,
Within a workflow I have a loop. Inside that a foreground step is executed. Then a condition step is executed to decide if the workflow should continue, stop, or return the work item to the inbox.
This new workflow was modeled after an existing workflow that is doing just that. Unfortunately, this new workflow is not returning the work item to the inbox. Instead, it just keeps displaying the screen that is called by the function module that is called by the business object method that is executed when the foreground task runs.
I've included a Word document with further detail in a number of screen prints. Hopefully this is something that will experience workflow developer may have seen before and know how to correct.
Unfortunately I have done very little workflow development and don't have a clue what might be causing this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Bruce
I could not attach a Word file, so I added 3 jpg files.  I would have added another 3, but it seems that posts are limited to 3 files.

    Hi Bruce,
As per your design, If you are approving or returning, the workflow loops back to the step "Approver - stat key approve".
Suppose you are one of the approver for this step ""Approver - stat key approve" and if you click on approve or return, then it will try to create a new workitem for "Approver - stat key approve" step.
As you are one of the approver again, the window opens immediately instead of reaching the inbox of all other approvers.
Include a dummy activity step in the "approve & return" condition outcome.
Active the workflow & refresh the buffer SWU_OBUF.
After this, when you click on return it will not open the same screen again. Instead it will be reaching all the approvers' SAP inbox.
    Thanks,
    Karthikeyan

    Hello,
The best solution would be to take your mouse, move your cusror to the top part of your screen, and click on the "Before you ask (here are many workflow answers)" thread. If you've tried everything that is proposed there then please reply to this thread explaing what you have tried.

  • Approval Work Item still appears in inbox after approval

Hello, We have an issue in SRM 7.0 UWL when an approval work item at a specific level finds more than 1 approver.
    1) When there is more than 1 agent at a specifc approval level, after the item is approved the work item still stays in the Inbox of the approver. However, the approval tab on the document in SRM shows that approval is now at next level. The workflow log does not show any updates based on the approval that was done.
    2) However, if the work item in UWL is clicked on twice, and approval is done from the webdynpro launced the second time, then it behaves correctly. Workflow logs get updated, next approval is routed correctly, and work item is removed from inbox.
Note: This only happens when an approval level has more than 1 agent. If there is only 1 agent, the behavior is correct.
    Appreciate any help!
    Zack

    Hi,
Is this a standard solution or modified solution?
You could have faced a bug in the standard work item completion code. I have seen this a few times (not with SRM though). Coul you check that what is the actual status of the work item after you have tried to approve the work item for the first time. You can check the status in transaction SWI1 (or table SWWWWIHEAD). Is the status COMMITTED? And after you try approve it second time, does it get status COMPLETED? IF this is the case (the status is COMMITTED after first approval), there is a bug in the code somewhere. You might find a solution for this from OSS. IF you have some kind of customized solution, you need to talk with a WF consultant - basically you need to call the work item completion function two times in a row.

    2. SUS Vendor creates the PO Response SUS system, POR Value is greater Than PO Value
    3. Approval Work item will go to Buyers of purchasing group
    4. Buyer trying to approving The PO Response from his approval inbox
