Unzip Error 1

Hi,
I've been having some trouble unzipping some large files. I have two that I am getting that same error for, "Unzip Error 1". One is 5.56 GB, the other is 23.32 GB.
(Yes, I know these are huge. The smaller one was something I was putting on my backup drive and I zip just about everything to save space and keep it simple--of course got a call that they need a change on the file. The larger one was stuff from a friend's SD card that I had to take off in an emergency, and had to zip to save space.)
I tried doing it through terminal, here's what I get:

Oh, I guess I should also add, I made the zip using finder, no outside application.

Unzip error in step 4 of 5. Installation failing

Hi,
I am trying to install EBS R12.1.1 on my Windows XP SP3 machine. I use cygwin instead of MKS toolkit (for obvious reasons). The installation proceeds fine. It installs the DB without any problems and the whole process goes fine until step 4. Here the rapidwiz proceeds to unzip files (a total of ~1085 ). On file 285 I get an unzip error, and I am presented with two choices Retry/Cancel. When I choose retry, it says "installing appl_top driver" and then gives me another error.
I went thro the log file and found that the unzip error occurs while processing DISK2. From the looks of it, when I say "retry" in that dialog box, it skips the rest and begins the appl_top installation. Since the unzip operation was incomplete, there are no erquired files and hence the installation errors out. Given below is a relevent excrept from my log file at J:\Oracle\inst\apps\VIS_vr12\logs\. Can anyone tell me if my conclusion is correct? Or am I missing something here?

I found out that the two files missing were..
oraAppDB\Disk3\data\stage\data_dat1131.zip
oraApps\Disk2\appl\stage\msc72.zipYou checked other Disk for corruption?
In order to get these I need to re-download two different DVDs. I'm on a 256kbps connection and the e-delivery site doesn't support resume feture. In the past few days I have tried atleast 10 times and at no awail. Is there any other way in which I can get these two files? These are very small files ~3 MB and may be if someone has a working staging area, would they be able to share these two fine? Anyone?You can get those file or DVD's from your local oracle office

Unzip error in java app - only sometimes

I have a quick question that I hope someone can explain.
My app unzips files and seems to work as designed. But every now and again I will get an error
java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file at ...
in my code I notices I never initialized a var in the oZip
ZipFile oZip;
now I have it as
ZipFile oZip = null;
I cant seem to recreate the unzip error now. Could that have solved my issue???? I sent tons of files at once and the process runs and sleeps on a thread....
any suggestions or am i just lucky for now and the unzip error may occure again????

Unzip error while installing 11.5.10 on RHEL 4

I was trying to install 11.5.10 on RHEL 4.
While rapidwiz is running the following command,

I have given a proper entry in hosts file. The same problem persists. How did you restart the installation? Did you clean your previous installation?
Might be because of corrupt zip files ?Could be. How did you create the stage area?

Try to fragment the 'ear' in less than 64k blocks or don't transmit as long raw.

Unzip Error Message with PeopleSoft HRMS 9.1 Application Install File

Can anyone tell me what this error messgae means? I've re-downloaded the PS 9.1 application and aix unzip executable and I'm still getting the below error message. Also, it appears the the file was unzipped. I'm not sure if the contents are corrupted based upon this error message:

You should try again to download, it should prompt for a password when unzipping the file. And/or transfer the file in binary mode to your AIX server.
Did you try with gunzip instead of unzip ?

Hi, I have BB9800-torch. I downloaded the desktop software and I tried to Unzip (7zip) and the following error :

Looks like it might be a permissions issue. When you are at the command line, in a terminal window, what are the values of the environment variables ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID?

Unzip error

when i unzip my zip file it shows execute permissions denied. below is the error message. could anyone help me on this.

10g for windows download unzip error

Hi,
I downloaded the file 10g_win32_db.zip from OTN. But, when I tried to unzip it throws error "Invalid compression. Unable to inflate".

Can you confirm a couple of things:
- Given that the download of the last zip always fails, do you have sufficient disk space on your local machine to fit all 3 files?
- Does the size of the first 2 zips match what the posted expected size is?

Unzipping error

After downloading sol-8-u5-sparc-v11 and attempting to unzip it I get an error sayin the file is either damaged or incomplete. I have tried on several ocassions with the same results. Install disc and disc 2of2-no problems. Does anyone have any advice?

I think it's a good idea that you re-download again. Because
last time i did have a problem on 2nd disc. But once I re-
download a new one, and the problem was fixed.

Unzipping numerous files

OEM GRID CONTROL REMOTE INSTALLATION

Hello Good People,
I am trying to install OEM GRID CONTROL. I have a two RAC node (AIX 5L). I don't have acces to the server so my only option is remote installation.
I was able to ftp the file into a directory on the server but it will not unzip, (error: couldn't find 10g.zp or 10g.ZIP). I uploaded the file as binary.
Okay, I will like to install from my laptop, (xp) using the DVD that I have. I went through the documentation steps below:
1. Make sure that the remote access software is installed and running on the remote and local computers.
2. On the local computer, share the DVD drive.
3. On the remote computer, map a drive letter to the shared DVD drive. You would use the remote access software to do this on the remote computer.
Through the remote access software, run Oracle Universal Installer on the remote computer. You access Oracle Universal Installer from the shared DVD drive.
I am confuse with step 2 downward. How can I map a drive in UNIX or why should I? I am connected to the sever by Telnet.
Any direction or suggestion will be appreciated. Please note that all I want is to remotely install GRID CONTROL on my server from the DVD that I have.

Based on further researched I discovered that the problem is due to the fact that I don't have an X-Window client install on my local machine. I just install a free trial version (30days). OUI finally started and went through the various checks. Although, the check passed I couldn't continue. It is saying missing some files. I will post the erros messages from the log in a while.
