Unzip & install

How do I unzip the downloaded zip file of Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium?

Where did you download it from? The installer comprises two files: a .7z and an .exe.
When you run the .exe, it unzips the .7z file.
Refer http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html
"For Windows, each program consists of up to two files, an .exe and a 7-Zip file (.7z). The .exe file will only work when the .7z file is also fully downloaded and resides in the same location."

  • Premiere Elements 11 did not unzip/install

I download all 1.2GB of the file twice, and both times I came up with a "PremiereElements_11_LS15_win64.7z" file and nothing to unzip it with.  I finally used Winrar to unzip it but couldn't determine which file was needed to install the program.  I tried "Adobe Premiere Elements 11.msi" but it opened the UNinstaller.

setup.exe is the installer. Although Premiere Elements is the video editing software. If it was Photoshop Elements 11 you were after you need to go to http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/photoshop-elements-10-11-downloads.html to download it.

  • Downloaded, unzipped, installed latest Camera Raw, but still cannot view D300 NEF files

    Hello,
I have CS3 running on a 32-bit Windows Vista computer. I downloaded the latest Camera Raw plug-in, unzipped it, and installed it, but I still cannot view my Nikon D300 NEF files. I have made sure that I only have the one plug-in mentioned. I went to CS3 Bridge and made sure that Raw is enabled in Preferences. Anyone got any ideas?
BTW, don't know if it matters, but I use Irfanview as my regular picture viewer.
    Thanks,
    John

    John,
Please excuse my inexperience, but I, too, am having a difficult time with this issue.  I am trying to view RAW images on CS3 from a D300 Nikon camera.  My D70 images are fine in CS3, but not the D300 images.  I have downloaded and downloaded ACR 4.6 and made sure it is in the path you suggested, but I am getting the same message, "file is not the correct type."  I have Windows 7 on a HP desktop computer.  I am also receiving an error message when I open Bridge, which tells me, more or less, that Bridge is not compatible with the OS on the HP.  Don't know what else to do...

  • Re: Unzipping & installing a plug-in

Hello. I have downloaded a plug-in for exporting photos directly from LR to Picasa. Once I unzip the plug-in, what file should I install it in to enable it? Thank you. Respectfully, Anne

Regarding the installation of plug-ins on Mac Leopard 10.5 (and maybe Tiger as well)...
Yes, you can click on the ".lrplugin" file in Finder and the plugin will install, but only if a version of the plug-in does not already exist in the Modules folder. If a plugin with the same name already exists, then the install barfs, and the plugin isn't updated. You have to manually remove the plugin before you install an updated version using this approach.
There is no equivalent install option in Windows...you have to manually copy the plugin to the Modules folder.

  • Question about unzipping/installing two-CD kits and installation bug.

Oracle Developer Suite 10g comes as two CDs and as two download zip files. Because it's in two CDs, file conflicts are possible and in fact occur. The only conflict is with the [unzip-root]\stage\disk.label file.
I can think of several possible procedures -- (1) unzip to separate folder trees; (2) unzip first CD, install and look for instructions to unzip the second; or (3) unzip them both to the same folder tree and rename or overwrite disk.label, because they are not used. My guess is the latter. There is nothing about this in the OUI documentation or the product release notes or installation guide.
The actual install (Windows XP) fails with:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\[install-root]\stage\Patches\oracle.options.ano.ssl.owm\10.1.0.4.2\1\DataFiles\install_fg.jar (The system cannot find the file specified)
This folder has a file named install_fg.1.1.jar, so there is a mismatch between the installation script and the actual filename (no assumption about which is wrong). I would think this to quickly become a known bug and a fix provided, but I cannot find any information. That's my real problem.
Also, when the install stops, OUI returns to the initial install page, but does not back out the partial install. I now have D:\DevSuiteHome_1 and _2 folders and corresponding folders on my start menu, each with only icons for the Universal Installer and UI Concepts Guide. Is there a good way to back out partial installs, or do I just need to delete what I can see?
Thanks in advance for help. Cross-posted to various relevant forums.

  • Just installed HTML DB on 9i, can I just use 10G HTTP server?

I just installed html db from my 10G release 2 dvd (on a machine that only has 9.2.0.6 on it), and went thru the steps outlined on http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/howto_use9ir2ohs.html
I installed the schema SYSAUX in an existing 9i database.
When I went to start the 9i http server it errors out and seems to not be working on this server, so rather than troubleshoot this can I not just use the 10G http server that was installed?
If so, I am a complete newbie at this so where might I find a good howto on getting started with HTML DB, I just want to play with it for now, but my eventual goal is to start migrating our MSAccess apps into Oracle and using this as a front end.
    thanks in advance!

Thanks Sergio, I think I will uninstall it and start again from the link you gave me, I am curious though, on why it has you download the htmldb and unzip/install it manually etc. when it is an option on the 10GR2 dvd shown?
If I recall correctly, the HTML DB option included the http server already, or is it just the preferred method to install the apache server standalone and HTML DB manually?

  • [Solved]Unzip as makedepends and multiple licenses

    Hello,
I'm creating a package for the Entypo font. I was hoping someone could help me with some doubts I have.
    1. The source file is a zip archive. Does that mean that I should add unzip as a makedepends? I see some packages do and some don't, so I'm not sure.
    2. I included a license file in the package because the OFL license isn't in licenses.
    cd $srcdir/../
Is this the right way to access the root directory of the package(where I put the license file)?
    3. The font contains some logos like Github's and Facebook's. They have different license and/or trademarks. They also aren't included in the source file. Should they be included in the PKGBUILD?
    Thanks for your time,

Thanks a lot for all the responses,
@Xyne, HalosGhost Thanks, works like a charm now.
Regarding the license, I'll include the section from the website and the OFL as suggested by Progandy, thanks! I won't include the CC-BY-SA because it's in licenses, so I added it to the licenses array.
It all works great now, I'll upload it to the AUR. Thanks again for the help!

  • Issues with install of linux agent micro install on RHEL 5.2.

    Hi All,
I have a linux machine, doing ssh to connect to it and then launch vncviewer to get the access. When I run the ./setup.sh it gives me libmawt.so: libXtst.so.6: cannot open shared object files: No such file or directory. Anyway to troubleshoot this issue.
    Thanks,
    Nags.

Oh wait, now that I re-read your message I see you are not having a problem with VNC. This document page is a continuation of my OATS install process on Linux. For the install, you need to be sure the user which is logged into the Linux UI has proper rights access to the unzipped install files.

I've also got Java v1.5.0.6 installed
I've run out of ideas - anyone able to assist ?

I've sorted it. Was originally copy unzipped install files from DVD into /tmp but think there must have been some corruption. I now copied and unzipped the install file onto the RH machine and it's now working.

  • Solaris 9 Sparc

Has anyone downloaded the zipped ISO's for Solaris 9 Sparc? I completed all three downloads and created the CD's from the ISO's. The install disk works fine. I'm having trouble with disk 1, it seems to be corrupt. In fact the ISO claims to to be 564 Mb but the CD only reports 262 Mb. I also used ISO Buster and used the extract utility. It too is reporting 262 Mb.
I tried the Sun Download Manager thinking that I may have an issue with IE or my WinZip programs.
I've burnt two disks using EZ CD Creator 5 and one disk using Nero.
Anyone have any Ideas? I think the file is corrupt.
I hope this is the right place to post this. Thanks

There definitely seems to be something wrong with these zip files...
    I downloaded install, v1, v2 onto a solaris 8 system, "unzip install" works;
"unzip v1" claims that end-of-central-directory signature not found. I've downloaded
this file a number of times
I downloaded v1 on a XP system w Sun DownLoad Manager, which unzips automagically
after the download. Using Nero to try to burn the iso, hangs the Nero application.
Sun does not seem to care about desktops any longer... After getting the 5th canned response
from [email protected] resulting from my downloads; I replied with a summary of
my troubles... Someone claiming to be a "Customer Service Specialist" send a somewhat
insulting reply , caliming no technical help was available there & that I should consult
the hardware compatibilty list. ie presumably my Ultra 5 with Solaris 8 is unable to unzip
    a sun generated zip file.

  • Problem with 10G R2 installation (OUI - 10133 Invalid Staging Area) on W2K3

I'm getting a strange error installing 10G R2 Database on a Windows 2003 server. I get "OUI - 10133 Invalid Staging Area. There are no top level components for Windows NT, Windows 2000 available for installation in this staging area." This happens when I choose an Advanced installation or when I choose a starter database.
The funny thing is that I've performed this installation with this exact installation disk on a virtual server on my laptop with Windows 2003.
Also, I ran a quick test with the 10G R1 installation files and I don't get the error. I want to run tests on case insensitivity with LIKE searches (a new feature enabled in 10G R2) so I can't use 10G R1.

I have seen that problem frequently and it is because for some reason the installer doesn't like burned CD's. Copy all the staging files over to disk. I usually download the zip files onto a staging drive on the server, unzip, install, then delete the install files when I'm done if I need the space.
This has two major benefits: I don't run into the "staging area" error and the install only takes about 30 minutes compared to about 3 hours when installing from CD.

  • General Eclipse Question (Not a NetBeans vs Eclipse Thread!)

I am going to play around with Vaadin, and I am going to use Eclipse and the Vaadin plugin for this play.
In reading the Book of Vaadin, the author actually recommend downloading Eclipse, unZIPping it, and running it from that unZIPped archive instead of "installing" it. The author mentions more control and less aggravation in the long run.
Now, I don't use Eclipse much at all (I use NetBeans usually). What I have done in the past with BOTH NetBeans and Eclipse is:
    1) Install from repo, run as my account for work, run as root to do updates and install plugins.
    2) Install from repo, run as my account for work AND plugin installs/updates.
I prefer #2 as it's less of an issue to just "blow away" all the plugins and start again if I need to.
My bottom-line question is: "Does running Eclipse from my 'local' /home/xxx without actually 'installing' it really make that much difference compared to #2 above?"
I'm hoping someone that has more experience with this can render an opinion. Also, if any of you have experience with Vaadin, do you have any tips for a noob?!?

One consideration with running Eclipse from a local unzipped install is being able to create multiple instances, with a different mix plugins. I keep three core versions going for Java, Python, and Android development. I've found some plugins do not always play well with others in Eclipse. At least that was my experience with Ganymede and Helios. My Java instance is loaded up with a bunch of enterprise junk, like JBoss Drools and Spring plugins, so it can sometimes get bogged down at start up when connecting to remote resources over VPN.
I've found that limiting the number of plugins I keep in any instance I use is helpful in keeping it stable. Note that you'll also need separate workspaces for each instance. Also, to keep your sanity, tarball a backup before installing or updating any plugins. Probably not for everyone, but it works for me.

  • Recognising a saffire 6 USB in lion os x 10.7.2 - help?!!

    Hi mac audio people
    Just purchased new iMac.
    Lion os x 10.7.2 installed.
Installed the focusrite driver that came on disc with the saffire 6 USB interface.
    Connected the interface up -
    Nothing!
Computer does not seem to recognise it. Tried changing output within system preferences - no option to do so.
Also tried ableton live preferences to no avail.
My novation xiosynth is running fine
Any help with the saffire 6 would be much appreciated
    Thanks
    Ben

    Hello dude
I did get mine sorted -
I called focusrite directly who were very helpful.
The driver disc that comes in the box with the saffire is out of date unfortunately.
Go to the focusrite website and download the latest driver (it states for lion os x).
Unzip, install and hey presto! You may need to disconnect and reconnect the saffire after restarting your mac by the way.
Thank goodness, been missing those preamps :)
