Up arrows on my installed programs on the main screen

i have arrows pointing upward on all of my installed programs that are on the desktop. what does this mean?

You need to help us first ...
Computer specs:
OS, CPU, RAM, GPU, vRAM ... and also disc layout & connections can be useful (as in, "2 internal hard-drives and an external on Thunderbolt connection for exports")
Program specs:
Specific build of Premier Pro from the bottom of the "About" splash screen off the "Help" menu is best.
Footage file type: MXF, AVCHD, MOV, m2s, what?
Even the camera it was shot on can be of interest at times.
And did you use media browser to import, then project panel to drag & drop?

I've tried most of the trouble shooting chart (no updates available, tried restarting app, restarted device) all I have left is to re-install the app... My main fear is that if I do this I will lose a load of recent projects that are saved to the app that I've spent the last few days creating... Help...

I have tried all those things I even updated the software to the new iOS system and it still did fix my problem.
What happened is that my garage band looks like it will open then it shuts down.
I have lot of important things on my garage band and I'm afraid that if I uninstall it deleting it then reinstalling it all my work on it will be gone and I can't have that happen.
Everyday I am hoping that when i go to open the app that is will work but it doesn't it gets ready to turn on then it shuts off , the app doesn't even open all the way and turns off.
I really hope I don't have to erase it.
It'll say it's ,lading my songs then it shuts down .
If I waited for the App Store to come up with an update for garage band should I wait till then to update my app so it doesn't get damaged . I don't want to erase it and all my data get erased . I figured if I wait for an update then my garage band will reset itself but won't delete my data. I'm not sure if that will help. Is there anything you or anyone else might know that can help me with this matter ?

Lion Internet Re-Install jumps back to the main screen

Hi all,
I have a 2011 Macbook Pro Unibody here. The HDD went bye-bye so I replaced it and attempting the Lion Internet recovery with little success.
I booted the Mac with CMD+R and the internet recovery loads up.
From the main screen (where you can select Disk Utility / Reinstall etc.) I selected the Disk Utility and erased the HDD and reformatted it for the OS X installation.
Back to the main screen I choose the install OS X Lion option, choose the HDD and klick trough the ToS. I then get the progress bar for the download but nothing happens for a few minutes, then the window closes and jumps back to the main window where you can select Disk Utility / Reinstall etc.
I do not get an error message or anything.
Any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your MacBook Pro. If you are able to boot from Internet Recovery but are unable to reinstall OS X to your primary HDD (fails silently), you may want to try creating an external OS X installation/Recovery System on an external volume. This will help isolate the issue to either the internal HDD or the Recovery install process, and will provide a seperate Recovery System from which you can try to reinstall to your internal HDD. HT4623 I have an older IPAD and it is no longer allowing me to see general settings, it flicks out of programs and goes back to the main screen. Is it time to throw it away?

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. ITunes will be installed wrong or what should I do to activate these options?

Go to the front page of the Store, and click Change Country. Make sure it is set to the country where you actually are.
Then you will be able to see everything that is for sale in your country, which, depending where you live, might or might not include music.

From what I can see, unless you're doing things with old versions of Xcode on a Mac (in which case, the solution seems to be to upgrade to the latest version), this seems to e an iTunes issue.
Accepting that it works fine with another iPad, I suggest trying the following:
1. Restart the non-working iPad
2. If that doesn't work, reinstall iTunes. If you're on a Windows PC, I suggest using Control Panel to uninstall all the Apple apps, restarting the PC, and doing a fresh install. If you're using a Mac, a repair permissions might help too.
iTunes 10.3 is now available, and that may make a difference.

Moving apps onto the main screens

I have too many apps to appear on the main screens and have now deleted some from the main screens. How do I move the apps onto the main screen? My iPhone is not Synced with iTunes for apps, so when I sync it, all apps are deleted. I can obviously access them through Spotlight but want to access them from the main screens.

I'm assuming you mean that you installed more apps than can fit on the 11 home screen pages, and the overflow apps are only findable with iPhone Search.
1. Delete some apps as you have done.
2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout
My iPhone is not Synced with iTunes for apps, so when I sync it, all apps are deleted.
1. Be sure you've authorized your computer in iTunes to the iTunes store account you used to purchase apps.
2. After connecting your phone to iTunes, and before syncing (disable automatic syncing), right-click your device and select "Transfer Purchases."
3. You might want to do this before deleting apps from the phone so that you won't have to re-download them from the App Store.

Blackberry Curve 8530 track pad only works on the main screen

I have a blackberry curve 8530 and the track pad will only work on the main screen. I have removed the battery and let it sit for 2 minutes before re-installing it again, the track pad started working but only for about 30 seconds and it back to the same thing.
Any suggestion?

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. The Menu Bar and Dock will be on the MacBook display and your background screen on the monitor. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the monitor and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the monitor your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.

How do I get a "PLAY ALL" button on the main screen for iDVD?

I spent a lot of time creating a DVD with pictures and music, and the main screen when I play the DVD shows all of the different scenes, but when I click on one of the scenes, it won't continue to the next one. I have to individually plan every scene in order to watch the whole DVD, rather than just clicking on the first scene and letting it play through. How do I make it so that I can either create another button that will play the whole DVD through or make it so that it continues to the next scene after the previous one is finished??

You can't create a 'play all' button with iDVD. All your separate scenes are separate movies as far as iDVD is concerned. You need to assemble all you separate scenes into one movie in iMovie and then insert chapter markers if you want separate entry points.
Apple's pro DVDSP does let you link movies to obtain a play all function.
