Up grade to CS6 Will Not open

The Upgrade to CS6 from CS5 will not open!!When I try to open I get the Message "Componets missing from applications directory Please reinstall" I did five Times with the same results

We need more details here. What OS? Did you uninstall CS5 before upgrading to CS6? Are you installing using an electronic download or using a DVD Installer?
The error you're seeing is because of an improper install.
Use this tool: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html to clean up all traces of previous installs. Then, re-install CS6 afresh from scratch. That should mostly fix your issue.

CS2 seems to conflict with CS6. One user found this to work. AppData is a hidden folder in case you try this.
I finally got it to launch via instructions from another web page. In my case, I am running Win 7 Professional 64-bit and previously loaded Photoshop and Bridge versions CS2 (along with Illustrator and InDesign CS2), which might have been part of the problem. The solution for me was to create an empty "Bridge CS2" folder in the C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\. Worked like a charm.
You might have to use the Adobe Script Cleaner to get rid of traces of the CR2 files.

Photoshop CS6 will not open any graphics files

Photoshop cs6 will not open graphic files, i have reset the settings. I get to see all the files in preview but when I try to open a file nothing happens, no error messages, no file opens, nothing.
When I use bridge I try to open the file with open in photoshop cs6 but again nothing happens. I found that if I reboot my PC photoshop will work correctly until I shut photoshop down but if I reopen it later before rebooting my pc now graphics files will open.

CS6 will not open after updating 4-22-14

Hi all,
I updated my creative cloud version of CS6 yesterday and now it will not open. When I click the icon it bounces as if it is going to open and the creators page shows up like is typical but then a dialogue box pops up asking if I want to participate or not participate in sharing anonymous info with Adobe to enhance their products. No matter what I click, the box goes away and nothing happens. I have tried forcing CS6 to close twice and restarting my notebook but nothing is working and I need to finish editing a shoot ASAP! I have a 2009 MacBook Pro operating with OS X 10.9.2 and I have had no problems with either LR or CS6 prior to this upgrade.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Adobe Indesign & Illustrator CS6 will not open files off server after Mac Maverick update.

I updated to Mac OS X Maverick and all the sudden my InDesign and Illustrator will not open files off of my works network. I read somewhere about installing the new Java update may help fix it, but I tried it and it did not. I have restarted my computer and reset the connection to the server multiple times, but it does nothing.
The exact message I get is: "Cannot open the files "xxxx.indd" Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file may be missing, or the file may be open in another application" I know for a fact that it is not open in another application so it is not that. I have tried multiple files on the server as well.
For Illustrator, I try to open a file from the server and it just freezes and does not respond so I have to force quit.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help!

If you had asked before you did this I would have told you not to move to Mavericks unless you were prepared for problems. I’m not a proponent of upgrade installations for operating systems and there’s no way to eliminate that as the cause.
That said, before you start erasing the whole machine, try uninstalling CS6 and then reinstalling it. You might want to run the cleaner tool after the uninstallation.

Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit 4 GByte memory. Downloaded and installes CS6 trial and Bridge will not open; there is hard disk activity at the beginning and then nothing. Any thoughts, thanks?

Adobe Illustrator CS6 will not open.

I have a problem: the illustrator app will not open. I get the pop-up: To open "Adobe Illustrator CS6" you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime. Click "More Info..." to visit the legacy Java SE 6 download website.
Both clicking "More Info..." and "OK" only make the pop-up disappear, but lead absolutely nowhere.
From Oracle.com I have already downloaded and installed 'jre-8u25-macosx-x64.dmg'. After install and restart i keep getting the same pop-up as before and i still can't open Ai. Any advice?

I updated from mavericks to Yosemite today which was a very bad idea. I had issues with my internal sound adapter and the system start is now very slow. I might going back to mavericks..
However, I wish the above link you gave here would work. After clicking the blue download button nothing happens. Any other idea how I could go back from my actual java 8-31 back to java 6?

Photoshop CS6 will not open files

Right after rebooting my computer (Windows 7 Pro) I can open one photo file in CS6 using any normal method of opening a file in Photoshop. After closing that file I cannot open any more files using any method such as>Open Recent, File>Open, or right click open using Photoshop, by selecting the file, double-clicking to open it etc. I also cannot open a file in photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 5 using Photo>Edit In> Photoshop CS6. Everything works in Lightroom when I use Photo>Edit>open in CS6 Photoshop opens but the file doesn't.
If I reboot my computer I can then open one file using any of those methods, but when I try to open an additional file it will not open. I have run through all the opening Photoshop without plugins suggestions and all the other suggestions about what may cause this problem which I have found on Photoshop Help and Support Center and nothing has worked.
This started while Lightroom 4.4 and CS6 were on my machine and had been working well for months. Then, suddenly, I couldn't open anything in Photoshop. I know of no changes made to the computer. After trying various suggested solutions I reinstalled Photoshop CS6 and things seemed to be working so I went ahead with updating to Lightroom 5. The same problem popped up in CS6 again. Lightroom 5 and Lightroom 4.4 have both worked with no problems and still do. Photoshop seems to be the problem. I've also run an antivirus which found nothing.
Any suggestions?

INDESIGN CS6 will NOT open files!

INDESIGN CS6 at launch will NOT open ANY documents , freezes on Open. Have tried moving SING Mark II folder- did not fix problem. FYI Indesign CS5.5 is fine.

PS CS6 will not open new files, but will re-open old ones

For no apparent reason, and all of a sudden, PS CS6 on this PC will not open any previously unopened psd files. It will open them if I've opened them before. Running win7, have all the latest drivers, versions, etc, including the latest video drivers. Same files will open on my laptop with CS6 no problem. Also files open in CS5 no problem. I did the ctrl+shift+alt deal to reset PS, no help. Any ideas other than reinstall the suite? Is there a way to just reinstall PS?

The system info follows. The only change I've made was switching the gpu mode from "advanced" to "normal". It functions this way, but not when set to advanced.

AE CS6 will not open?

My AE CS6 for Mac will not open. It freezes on the loading screen saying 'initialising Mediacore'. I have un-installed and re-installed without success - any ideas?

I ran into this problem a couple of weeks ago and overcame it by un-install, re-install process, but this time it hasn't solved the problem. Interestingly, it is also crashing when trying to open Premiere, but freezes on a 'Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle' message.
I am currently using CS6 on my MacBook, but any suggestions on how to overcome this would be great. I may do a complete CS6 uninstall and re-install, but don't have time at the moment as I have a project to finish this week.
I haven't installed anything else recently.

PS CS6 will not open and is "scanning for plugins"

When I try to open PS CS6, it hangs and says it's "scanning for plug-ins" and will not open. Any suggestions? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no luck.

Photoshop CS6 Will not open files\create new\function properly

Hello,
I have a licensed Photoshop CS6 installed on Windows 8.1 64bit.
This morning the software has started to have the following issue:
Photoshop will not create any new files (With the exclusion of spamming CTRL+N I have managed to open a new project)
Photoshop will not load an existing file through its panel of any format (double click on file yet nothing happens)
While trying to use any tool I have noticed that some of the clicks (Mouse or Keyboard) do not go through - some of them are being generated and some are not.
Sometimes Photoshop will not respond to clicks - if I drag a window other it forcing explorer to refresh the desktop the changes are being shown - otherwise Photoshop will remain stuck
After browsing the web for hours I have noticed a few people had similar issues as I have yet non of the steps which helped them to solve this issue have done any good to me.
I have taken the following steps:
Turned off "Use Graphic Processor"
Re-booted my computer
Re-installed Photoshop
Updated my graphic card's drivers
I have read another thread talking about some Nvidia cards which encounter issue with drivers yet I'm using an Radeon card - My PC spec:
Intel i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz
8GB RAM
ATI Radeon R7 200
Windows 8.1

We've heard of a few examples of this - but they always seem to come down to other applications interfering with UI in Photoshop, malware, or needing to reinstall the OS.
There have only been a handful of reports, and we haven't been able to isolate the cause - but we know that it is something outside of Photoshop. Sometimes it works shortly after rebooting the system, but then fails until the system is rebooted again (very strong evidence that the cause is outside of Photoshop). A few people have reported that after reinstalling the OS, the problem went away.
