Hi,
The only thing I can think of suggesting is to download the Full Feature installer on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL29976/al-74809-1/DJ_AIO_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe
When the download has completed, right click the installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  Do not connect the PC to the printer until the software asks you to.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes,
DP-K

  • Itunes and quicktime unable to play music files

I have an Apple Mac mini (Intel Core Duo - 1.66GHz, 1.25 GB RAM) that I just upgraded to Snow Leopard.
After upgrading, itunes (newest version) won't play any audio files (aac, mpg, aiff). Neither will the new version of quicktime (x).
The older version of quicktime (7) will play the files, as will VLC.
Is this a bug, or was I not supposed to install Snow Leopard on a machine this old?
Has anyone else run into this type of problem?

As M has noted, the more info that is presented in the question the quicker you will get a constructive answer. No one can read anothers mind. It is an art to write what ones thought are.
I will assume that you mean "default" as being your internal speakers. To change your sound output - assuming that is your question - go to System prefs and select SOUND. If there are any other sound output options then it would be listed and you can make your selection of speakers.

  • My quicktime can't play avi file

HI everyone does someone know why my latest quicktime can't play avi file?

Let me tell you what are you doing wrong...
you just followed the wrong road try this one instead and you will love it.
*1st of all*: Dont pay attention to QuickTime, no matter what movie you want to view
just download and install VLC Media Player and your worries about formats, video codecs, audio codecs, multi zone dvd reproduction will be over in a sec!
just "open as" > VLC Media Player and you will see everything and if you have a subtitle file, just drag it into the movie

Both the AVI and the MOV file extensions refer to the file container and not the compressed data the file contains. Both are generic file containers in that each may contain any valid combination of audio and/or video data that is compatible with the codec component configuration of the system on which the file was created. On the other hand, whether a file is playback compatible, conversion compatible, and/or edit compatible depends on the data actually contained in the file container. So, you are basically dealing with two separate issues here—the container and what is inside it.
Basically, if you want to make your files ediit compatible with iMovie, you must change your file container to one that is acceptable to iMovie and convert the data to edit compatible audio and/or video compression formats as may be necessary. The best approach is to determine what codecs were actually used to create the original AVI files and add them to your system if possible. In most cases a codec package like Perian can be added to your system's codec component configuration to may the AVI file playable. Once they are playable, in the QT 7 app then they can be chnged or converted to file types and compression formats that can be edited in iMovie. (While Perian handles most codecs commonly used to create AVI files, it does not handle all possibilities and, while the Perian codec package still works under cureent Mac OS versions, its development group has decided to drop further development/support of the package.)
Background: AVI is a file container originally developed by Microsoft back in 1992 but for which official support was discontinued about 11 years. Despite its limitations, Windows users still tend to use this file based on its open source ease of use and generic nature, thus, making its use so popular that most users are unwilling to switch to more modern but less generic file types. Since some AVI legacy compression formats have never been transcoded for the Mac or use beyond OS 9 or OS X PPC platforms, it is often important to know what specific compression formats are contained in the AVI file to know which codecs to add to your system and which not to add in order to avoid possible codec conflicts.
You can use many different converters to convert AVI files to iMovie edit compatible files. Most third-party apps contain their own buit-in codecs which do not relay on the Mac codec component configuration. Free ones, like HandBrake, usually have limited conversion capabilities while those that have more varied outputs are usually commercial in nature and will cost you additional cash. QT 7 Pro or the free MPEG Streamclip app allow you to access you own system's component configuration and use any available codec component like DV, AIC, MPEG-4, H.264, Photo JPEG, etc.—all of which are iMovie compatible for editing purposes—but only after making the AVI file QT 7 player compatible.
In order to determine what compression formats wewre used in your AVI files you can
    1) Try checking the Finder "Info" window,
    2) Use the "Inspector", "Media Info", or "Properties" window of any player app that will open the file, or
    3) Use a general media utility app like "MediaInfo" to read the file characteristics.

    You can also use VLC

It woks very well, can read almost anything, and also lets you do conversions to other formats.

  • Quicktime won't play .mov files recorded on Olympus recorder

I've got an Olympus pocket video recorder. but Quicktime will not play the files recorded on it. I get the error message "The document could not be opened. This media may be damaged."
However, the files  play in iTunes if I import them and the preview plays if I select the icon and hit the space bar. But I need to use the Trim facility in Quicktime to do quick trimming on them.
This is the MediaInfo information for one - can anyone shed any light, please?

Hi...I have the OS X v10.6.8 but my QuickTime is not playing .mov files. How can I fix this?
Depends of the specific kind of file you are trying to play. MOV refers to the file container. Any data compatible with the system used to create the file can be placed in an MOV file. If you don't have the same codecs available on your computer to play back the file or if your version of the QT player does not expect expect the encoded data to be in an MOV file container, then it cannot/will not play the file. Use the Finder Info window, media player Inspector/Information window, or a dedicated utility to determine what compression formats were used to create the MOV file and then install the required codec(s) if available.

  • QUICKTIME REFUSES TO PLAY ANY FORMAT OF VIDEO

My QuickTime suddenly stopped playing all forms of videos that they allow.
My Mac and QuickTime are up to date.
I've tried using different converters ( VLC and online sources ) to see if the different formats help- they didn't.
QuickTime will play previously exported .mov and .mp4 projects from iMovie and previous QuickTime events but not the new files.
iTunes and iMovie don't want to read them either despite the file being in .mp4 format.
The original file was a VLC compatible file, .flv. I've converted it to all kinds- .mp4, .mpeg-4, .mov, and so forth.
I'm not sure if it's the file size that is affecting it or what it is, but I desperately need this fixed soon, please help ASAP.

  • Quicktime refuses to play anything

I recently tried to play some .mov, mp4 and mpg files however each movie causes quicktime to give an error " Quicktime cannot play this file because it is not a file quicktime understands error (-2048)".
Anyone know what the heck is going on? pls help me

    Great advice-- unfortunately all useless!
The -2048 file error is NOT associated with MPEG2 encoded
files specifically. Any quicktime that is corrupted can
    generate that error.
I work in a post-production facility and our clients bring
us many, many quicktime files. The 2048 error is frustratingly
non-specific and as far as I have discovered non-recoverable. I have read of people having some success copying
the header info from a working quicktime into the "broken"
one and thereby fixing it, but haven't tried it myself.
Good luck! Let us know if you find a solution.

  • Quicktime will not play .mov files since Lion installation

When using Quicktime 10.6, I am receiving the error message "...file could not be opened. A required codec isn't available." when attempting to open .mov files.  Prior to installing OS X Lion, there were no issues with playing .mov files.

I'm having the same problem. Using a clean install of Mac OS X (10.7) Lion and QuickTime 10.1.
    If I go to finder:
I can click on Icon's Play arrow and the Movie will play in the icon.
I can click on the file icon and press the spacebar and the file will play in QuickLook.
If I doubleclick on the icon to open the file in QuickTime, I get the "...file could not be opened. A required codec isn't available." message.
If I right click on the icon and click open with... QuickTime, I get the "...file could not be opened. A required codec isn't available." message.

  • How do I get quicktime 10 to play avi files

Bought a macbook pro a few months back, and it doesn't seem to play avi files. How can I fix this.

Install Perian. If that doesn't work, you probably can't play those specific AVIs on a Mac.
Neither the QuickTime Player nor MPEG Streamclip can convert a file that it can't play.

  • How to get QuickTime Plugin to play .mid files?

I have quicktime Plugin installed. It works for playing video files but I can't get it to play .mid files in browser. Firefox asks me to download the file first, even though through options -> application types, I have set it to use the QuickTime plugin.
    I have firefox 22 and quicktime 7.7.4

Also through MIME settings in QuickTime I have set QuickTime to be associated with .mid and .midi files.

  • Quicktime can´t play .mov files

Iphoto doesn´t recognize movies from iphone (.mov files)
When I attach my iphone to import movies I made with my iphone 4 into iphoto, Iphoto tell´s me it can´t read the format (.mov files).
Quicktime cannot play .mov files either. I reinstalles ILife´11, that didn´t help. Importing the files into imovie doesn´t work either, because imovie always crashes. I can´t drag and drop the movies from my iphone via iphoto to my desktop - does anyone know how to do that?
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Been to the Genius Bar, but they couldn´t help.

In case anyone has the same problem, this was my solution:
    1. install Quicktime 7 from your old snow leopard CD, don´t download from the internet
    2. then follow the instructions that Neutronjon gave in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3211124?start=0&tstart=0, if you have the same error message
I have had this problem for a year now, tried all sorts of things, and this finally worked!

  • Play sdp file with JMF

    Hi,
I have a Darwin Streaming Server(DSS) running on a machine, that reflects several broadcasts from other machines (I'm broadcasting to the DSS with JMF).
I can see all the videos and audio without any problem with Quick Time, but I can't find a way to play the sdp files with jmf. I've searched the web for jmf and sdp, and there isn't much information, i've also tried to play with JMStudio..no luck. In the JMF solution there aren't any samples for SDP files....
If I can't find a way to do it, I'll use Quick Qime 4 Java, the only problem is that there isn't a linux implementation :(
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    ANeto

    Hi,
I have read all the mails on the JMF interest group regarding the Broadcaster and DSS.
Well i too am trying to do a similar application. This is an Application
Casting program basically to share my desktop with the other person sitting
across the network using my client. And in order to multicast this, i am
looking at using Darwin Streamng Server.
The whole idea here is that i break the desktop image up into frames and
then compress them and then send it over, protocol used here is TCP/RTP/UDP.
I am trying to hit this stream of packets to DSS so that it can be accessed
else where over the internet. I'm trying to under stand the basic
authentication mechanism DSS uses, so that i can create the .sdp file and
transfer it over to the DSS, which can further be accessed by any client
    that can understands sdp.
As i read in the mail some of you were able to create the .sdp file with your custom built boradcaster and send it to DSS if i am not wrong.
I have tried this with Mpegable Broad caster as you said.
Now the problem i had was to create .sdp file with my application and push it to the DSS.
So have you made some kind of a documentation or can you give me an idea as
to how i can go about this. Or it will be even better if you can share the code with me.

  • K-lite mega codec pack/quicktime codecs to play other files

I want to be able to use quicktime for all video files on my new ibook 14'' so i tried downloading the k-lite maga codec pack but i think its only for windows because every site i tried to download it from opened it in a .exe file. basically i was wondering if there was a site to find a version of k-lite to download that works with os x tiger or if there was another codec download that would enable me to play other media files on quicktime (wmv,mpeg-4). i already downloaded the divx codecs to play .avi files but i really want to be able to play those other files

Flip4Mac can play wmv file in Quicktime. It doesn't handle Real Media though.
