Up grade to windows 7.

I have been trying to upgrade my HP F4180 to windows 7 but no mater which way I try it loads everything but when I connect the USB cable to the printer I get a error on HP Deskjet F4100 series. The rest of the files are ok. I sent for a new disk and I am unable to make it work. I have tried it on another computer and it won't work there either.

The only thing I can think of suggesting is to download the Full Feature installer on the link below and save it to your Desktop.

When the download has completed, right click the installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. Do not connect the PC to the printer until the software asks you to.

Lost the driver to my hp photosmart plus b209a when up grade for windows 7 was done installing

Well a few days ago my computer did an automatic upload for windows 7...Now I have no driver for my HP Photosmart Plus B209a all-in-one printer...I lost the disk like a year ago...So I went on HP and downloaded the full driver and installed it..well I should say I tried to install it..I keep getting to the install point and it gets to the 6th step out of 8 and then fails it! I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it...I have tried the HP Dr..I have done everything it tells me to do with the same result! I am so very frustrated right now...Can someone please help me...

Desktop up grade for Windows 7

HP parent of Palm should provide the funding to update the palm desktop so that it runs correctly on windows 7 and future OS's.
1) Palm Desktop has a huge following and is by far more secure than the "Web Based" solutions that the phones are using.
2) Palm used to update the palm desk top with the evolutions of the various windows OS's.
3) HP has lately taken the approach to not update device software with the application of new OS's (IE My 1 year old all in one machine by HP works at a marginal level with basic windows 7 drivers). HP has not provided a SW update or plans to. I have bought a Brother to replace my HP office jet 6110.
4) Even if the software had a fee, I think the handhold community would pay for an upgrade, I know I would.
5) HP needs to wake up and support the Palm Community, as new OS's come on line, or their customer base will dwindle to other companies who do.

Up grade to Windows 7 (32 bit)

I upgraded my touchsmart from vista to windows 7. I have managed to get most features working (ie webcam, fingerprint and touch software. What I can't restore are the three buttons on the right lower part of the screen (ie screen orientation, media and tools). If anyone can help me I would be very grateful.

How do I stop the Finder from seeing SMB (Windows) shares on the network?

I have the OPPOSITE problem most people have -- Windows Sharing works TOO WELL.
I've donated a refurbished eMac to the local homeless shelter. I figured I'd made the system secure, and prevented any monkey business. Turns out the windows machines on the network are COMPLETELY insecure (guest access to everything is enabled). The problem is that the Mac is TOO friendly -- it automatically connects to the server as a guest, and happily presents everything to the user.
I've tried a dozen different things (I've removed the 'Shared' section from the sidebar in the Finder windows (Go->Network is still there, Doh.), tried to turn off File Sharing, and even disabled the mount_smbfs command in the /sbin directory with "chmod 0 mount_smbfs".)
I've asked the folks there to call in a PC tech and fix their security problem -- but it's a good question to which I've found no suitable answer... How to I stop the Mac from connecting to SMB Shares on the local network?

Same problem, keep getting a pop up with connection failed you do not have permission to access the server. The server is a windows 7 box, Starting happening after an up grade to windows 7. Nowhere can I find how to stop trying to connect. I am sure its at the unix level of samba but what to do is another question

Photoshopversion for mac and windows when switching?

I have used now the photoshop trial version for windows for windows for a while and would like to buy the full version. However I will switch to a mac in December or January and would really appreciate If I would be able to start out with photoshop already now on my windows pc so that I don't have to wait with purchasing photoshop until I have the mac.
If I buy a photoshop license, will I get a version for both platforms or how does it generally work if switching platforms? I am also using Lightroom 4 and when I bought this as box it came with both a mac and windows version but I noticed that for photoshop I have to choose in the store.
Would be nice if you could help me with this.

Lightroom is multi-platform. It is licensed for Mac and/or Windows and you can install it on both since you can activate it on up to 2 computers.
Traditionally licensed versions of Photoshop and other apps are single platform licenses: Mac only or Windows only but you also have up to 2 activations. Mac/Mac or Win/Win.
Creative Cloud versions of Adobe Suites and apps (e.g. Photoshop) are all multi-platform licenses: Mac and/or Windows - so you can activate them on Win/Win or Mac/Mac or Win/Mac. That may work best in your situation purely from a licensing perspective but you'll be locked in to a monthly fee.
You can cross-grade from Windows to Mac but that usually involves an upgrade at the same time (e.g. CS5.5 Windows to CS6 Mac). Check with Adobe Sales for further options.

HP D110a - Is There a Fix or Up-date for Windows 7 (64)?

Not sure when the problem occured, but I keep losing connection to my HP D110a over the wireless network. I have checked all obvious things, but for some reason it keeps disconnecting. I have re-loaded the solution center software many times and it works for a while, but again disconnects. It always seems to create another printer (copy1) and latest is $friendlyname$. Does anyone know of a fix for this? Does this have anything to do with an up-grade to Windows 7? Any help would be much appreciated!

If you wish you can try to down grade to Windows 7. Few drivers will be missing (such as PCI bus and USB 3.0) and please post back , friends in this forum will help you.

Hp probook 430 g1 update windows 8.1 error 0xC1900101 - 0x30017

But my BIOS version is L73 Ver 01.11 which is newer then ver 01.05.
Do I need to change to the older version to be able to up grade the windows 8.0 to windows 8.1?
Will it affect the performance of the computer system?

Windows 7 to Windows 8?

I'm Running Windows 7 on my Mac Air and want to know if i up grade to Windows 8 can i just get the Windows 8 up grade disc and use that? or will i need the full version of Windows 8 disc and uninstall Windows 7 first?

i upgraded my bootcamp win7 install with the digital upgrade which rely on no disc

No hay una manera de hacer downgrade de 8 a 7 directamente.
Si tu equipo vino con Win 8, la unica manera es buscando los instaladores de Win 7 y hacer una instalacion nueva del OS.
Si tu servidor vino sin OS y la licencia que utilizaste fue una licencia Open Business de Microsoft, esta si te da la opcion para hacer downgrade, pero es igual reinstalando el sistema operativo y el mismo te pregunta a que version deseas instalar, ya que te permite hacer downgrade hasta dos versiones anteriores a la que adquiriste.
Antes de hacer eso de todos modos, asegurate que el equipo tiene disponible todos los drivers para trabajar en Win 7. No sea cosa que luego que lo instales, haya algun driver que no este disponible y pierdas performance en el equipo.

MSI 651 Radio Problem with Windows Vista

When I start the MEGA Radio in Windows Vista I get the following pop up error: "Audio is not available. Please install audio driver first!" (the audio driver is installed 12x over).
After clicking OK on the error pop the MEGA Radio loads, but no sound.
Please help me with this!! Any suggestions???

I too had this problem, and here is Adobe's official answer:
"There is a know issue with Windows Vista and Acrobat Pro 7.
You have two choices, down grade to Windows XP or upgrade to
Acrobat Pro 8."
"Those are my only two options?"
"Yes"

I am using a window 8 operating system and due to my work I need to use windows 7 I bought this computer used and I am not sure what it had on it orginally or even if that matters to down grade to window 7. my HP model is a6142n and the Product # is GG045AA-ABA. I want to make sure I will a computer to use once I make the downgrade. How do I find out what this computer came with I believe this computer is a 2007 model.?

Why does it take CS4 Encore 2 days to transcode Blu-ray h.264 High Def

I have been trying to create a Blu-ray disc for Days by adobe dynamic link from Adobe Premiere Pro. I have no problems with creating a DVD. I only have problems when I try sending over 1080i High Definition footage instead of Standard Definition. I was able to create a successful Blu-ray with only 53 minutes of footage, but now I am trying a fully edited video with Titles and Transitions and the length of video is somewhere in the area of an 1hour and 54 minutes and it has been trancoding for over a 24 hour period and still not finished. I have CS4 Master Collection, Windows Vista 64X bit, i-7 processor at 2.66 and 6 gig of memory Hard-drive external 7200 RPM 1.5TB Seagate and 2 Internal Harddrives 750 G and 1TB. I am curious if anyone else has experienced this problem when sending footage over with adobe dynamic link directly to Encore??? When I use the Media Encoder by itself from Premiere it only takes about 6 hours to render 1 hour and 53 minutes of Video into the H.264 Blu-ray format. I am racking my brains to understand why. Also it seems that it Transcoded about half within 5 hours and has seemed to have considerably slowed down since. Please anyone with any suggestions would be very helpful. Also my project shows in the build as being 13.42GB and I it is transcoding in the H.264 Blu-ray format.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunatley I have tried the idea of transcoding the footage and exportig to encore by importing assets and it freezes and Encore hangs there without any response. I think I have lost the last hair in my head trying to figure this out. I am not sure if the imported file is too large for Encore to import as the file is almost 14G but it is very frustrating. I was thinking of going to CS5 but I wanted to up-grade to Windows 7 and have been hearing a lot of issues with CS5 running correctly, so I am waiting till they get all the bugs worked out with that. Also I was curious in CS5 is Encore a true 64 bit program now along with the Media Encoder and Encore or is it just Premiere Pro that is 64 bit? This is one of the reasons I had moved from CS3 to CS4 is because I thought the entire CS4 Master collection was 64 bit only to find out it was just Photoshop. It did work out some issues with Flash that I was having as well as Acrobat, but I want true 64 bit rendering. Please let me know Thanks again. Joe

Problem with saving secondary corrections...possible bug??

Alright, when working in color on the secondaries, I save the look that I want in the secondaries room. That's all fine and good. However, if I make any more changes, then hit save again, it will SOMETIMES overwrite the previous correction, and I would have to hit the save button again to get a new saved thumbnail. This doesn't happen in the grade save window as I always get a new saved grade. Is this normal or a possible glitch? Can anyone else confirm this happening?

this is something that has always been the case when you save anything. Primary Room, Secondary Room, Grade Bin and Still Store. Basically what is happening is when you click on a still or a grade that grades name pops up in the file box so if you hit save you are saving something with the same name and writing over the old with the new. So by deleting the name in the box or entering a new name you will not be replacing your original grade. Yes a tedious extra step, but it will solve the problem.
