UP-LOADING PHOTOS & RIPPED MUSIC FROM IPHONE BACK TO COMPUTER

My computer crashed and I lost everything, but thankfully my iPhone has all the photo's and music albums stored on file. The problem is, I can't find a way of re-installing that data back onto my computer! I have managed to re-install music I purchased on the Apple site, but there is no facility available that I can locate that allows my photo's and ripped albums to be re-installed back onto the computer.
Please help!

That's because Apple makes no provision to do what you want. It's expected that you maintain a backup of your music, photos, and other data. The iphone is not a backup device. You can recover this data, but you will have to use third party software to do so. Bear in mind, photos synced to your phone were reduced in resolution for display on the iphones screen. There is no way to recover their original resolution if you did not make a backup of your computers data.

my computer crashed and all my music is gone. Can i put the music from iPhone back on the computer?

Yes you can. There are few ways to do this, assuming that itunes with your library doesn't work anymore.
You can try with a freeware software for Windows named
    iPhone PC Suite
Another way is to install on your iPhone an app that shares your music. I have one, it's called SongExporter.

how to transfer music from iphone to new computer

iTunes will transfer your purchases from your iPhone to your new computer by using File>Transfer Purchases. For the rest of the content that’s on your iPhone use a program called TouchCopy which works on Windows and the Mac. It transferred my music, photos, contacts and SMS to my new computer very well.

  • Sync photos and music from iPhone to iMac.

When syncing an iPhone 5 (ios7) to an iMac (Mavericks) only the photos in the camera roll sync to iPhoto and not those photos that are in albums. Also, the only music that syncs to the mac is the music purchased from iTunes and not music added from iTunes on another machine.
How do you get all music and photos to sync to the new machine?
    Many thanks.

It will automatically do it when you plug it in, weather you have aperture or iphoto. when i plug my iPhone 4 in it will open aperture for example. If it doesn't do it automatically, go ahead and do it manually from device, iPhone section in iTunes. its like a file layout and on the top it will say photo, apps, music. etc. click photos and sync to iPhoto or aperture.

  • Saving music from iphone back to my computer

My computer crashed and I lost all my music stored on my computer. How can I send the music stored on my iphone back to my computer? I'm wanting to save the music on my iphone so i can install the update on my Iphone. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The iPhone is not meant to be a backup for your iTunes library. Hopefully you have made a backup elsewhere.
Only music that has been purchased from the iTunes store can be put back on your computer:
Open iTunes, File>Transfer Purchases from iPod.
All music not purchased from the iTunes store is unfortunately gone forever.

    Penny wise and pound foolish.
boggles my mind that I can't simply transfer MY files from MY phone and MY PC. /END RANT
Boggles my mind that people don't have a backup and then on top of that, they place blame everywhere but themselves when it comes back to bite them.
$25 so I can have access to MY files is just stupid.
If I have data on two sources (phone and PC), why should I need a 3rd source for backup? There is NO reason why my phone can't act as a backup for PC and vice versa. The old iPods could do this. My old Android phone could do this!
I backup all my important work and personal files, but having 12 gigs of music saved on 3 different sources (plus the CD originals) is just unnecessary.
Please don't make excuses for Apple not supporting this.
But how about going back to solving the problem... is there freeware available or a workaround so that I and the original poster can copy music from phone to PC???
Thanks to those who are trying to help.

  • How do I see photos, contacts etc from iphone on my computer and in icloud

I have activated icloud on my iphone and installed icloud on my computer. Photo Stream shows up in "compute" in windows explorer).    But I am not seeing the pictures from my iphone on my computer.  Neither are contacts, calendar etc syncing from my phone to icloud (on the web) or on my computer.  I have signed into all with my apple id.  In phone settings - icloud - All (contacts, calendars, reminders, and photo stream) are checked "on" and "My Photo Steam" is on as is shared photo streams.  Isn't this supposed to be EASY?!?!?!
    Thanks,
    Lisa

Thanks for the quick reply.  I checked my settings and iTunes is not set to sync calendars.  If have any other suggestions, I would appreciate any help!  Thanks!

  • Transferring Music from iPhone to new computer

    Hello,
The computer I normally sync with iTunes has crashed suddenly with an I/O error on the hard disk.  This has left the computer completely useless and now I am trying to manage the music on my iPhone with my work laptop, (Windows PC) but I am only able to transfer my purcahsed songs from iTunes off my phone to the work laptop music library, and I can't sync without losing all my other content on the iPhone that is in my original library on the crashed laptop.
With my original computer out of commission there must be some way of creating a new library on my second computer and managing my music from the iPhone.  My only copy of the music files is on the iPhone.  How do I move these to the new laptop?

You should be able to recover the media with the tips in  this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings. You can probably transfer your purchases into a newly authorised library, backup the device, recover any other media using third party tools, then restore the device from the backup. That might switch the assocation of the device to the new machine but I couldn't say for sure.

  • Music from Iphone to New Computer

My computer crashed and since then I have bought a new computer, how do I get all of my music from my iphone to my new computer? I have window XP base program

Technically, you cannot go from iPhone to computer (except songs bought via the iPhone in the WiFi iTunes). Just computer to iPhone, else one could go over to any friends house and transfer off music.
Unless you can get access to your old computers harddrive and hook it into your new PC and see if can get the files, or of course if you made backups, you really don't have much luck.
You may ask over in the iTunes forum if Apple has a way to identify songs you have purchased and redownload them but I am very unclear about that.

  • Transfer music from iphone to new computer

purchased a new laptop and I want to tranfer my music from the iphone to the new laptop witha  blank itunes.  I've tried a syncing the phone and it warns me the iphone data will be erased.  Not cool.  Any suggestions?  The old computer is dead and I can't access the data.

This cannot be done (by design) without third party software, which may or may not be a violation of the iTunes license agreement. Try googling "Senuti".

recently my laptop which I was using to hold and sync my mp3s onto my iphone crashed beyond repair. is there any way I can restore my mp3s from iphone onto my new desktop?

  • Need to get photos and music from iphone to new macbook pro

I gave my old macbook pro to my daughter and bought a new one. However, i need to find out how to get my music, photos, etc from my iphone onto my new computer. When I try to sync i get the message my iphone contents will be erased and replaced with computer's content. Help!

Photos can be offloaded to any computer. If a computer does not have iTunes installed, it treats the iPhone as a camera and gives an option to save the photos.
Anyway, photo's aren't synced are they. They are always stored on the iPhone and never a part of a backup.

  • Transferring music from iPhone back to hard drive

The external hard drive with all my music on it malfunctioned, so I had to delete everything. All the albums are still on my iPhone. I'm trying to work out how to transfer all the albums back from the iPhone to the hard drive. Does anyone know how to do it? It's driving me mad!!

Usually you are able to transfer your purchased songs from a device back to your computer. This is done by right clicking on the device in iTunes and selecting transfer purchases. To get other music files, you should use a third party program which will copy your songs over. Several are available, such as Pod to PC.

  • HT1473 Loading old Cd music from phone to my computer

My computer crashed and took all my old cd music with it. It is still on my phone in my itunes because I converted it. I want it back on my computer but I cannot figure it out. Please help. I want to load it onto a thumb so I cant loose it if i crash again.

The iphone is not a backup/storage device. It simply mirrors the selected content of your computer.  The sync is one way - computer to ipad.  The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Have you failed to do this?
