Up-to-date unzip utility for MOPatch

Hi All,
SAP Note 1027012 - MOPatch - Install Multiple Oracle Patches in One Run
mentions  following
MOPatch requires an up-to-date "unzip" utility. As of version 1.7,
MOPatch by default uses the "unzip" utility that is located at
$ORACLE_HOME/bin.
Does anyone know where do we download the uptodated version of unzip utilty and how to install it?
Is it just over writing the existing files?
Thanks

    Hi,
Might be some issues with the unzip,
Download the unzip utility for the respective platform from
    https://updates.oracle.com/unzips/unzips.html
Click LINUX Intel (32bit and 64bit - Large file support)
And then proceed with the steps in the link

  • Canon's Data Import Utility C100

Does anyone know where to download C100 Data Import Utility for C100? I just bought a used c100 that did not come with the disc and hoping to find out how to order a new one or if there is a download somewhere. Anybody out there think this is a must or can bypass with something like clipwrapper?

So I found a simple work around.  I was having dificualty only downloading the VIDEO files, with no AUDIO becuase they are stored in 2 separt folders when recorded to the SD card from the c100.  All you need to do is
sd > card reader > computer > [open folder via my computer]
EOS CANON C100 > PRIVATE > AVCHD >  BDMV >  STREAM (video files)
                                                                                        >  CLIPINF (enables audio files to be interpreted in NLE's)
****STREAM (contains video file copy them to a new folder on your hard drive.  Then the tricky part,  also open the folder CLIPINF this folder holds files with the extension .CPI  select all those and copy into the same folder you created for the video files.  Then simply import the video files into a NLE's such as Premier Pro then your good to go!
Took me about an hour of frustration then I went back and just opened all the folders. Trial and error = Knowledge!
    Enjoy hope this helps

  • Data Recovery Software for MBP

Apparently I have trashed the directory on my FW 160GB Maxtor External drive. "Unable to read disk". (It is a drag since it happened just as I was getting my brand new MBP system up! Oh well!)
My research has not uncovered a suitable disk repair/data recovery solution for the new iMac (Intel-based). Does anybody know of one? The best one?

Other than Disk Utility (Utilities folder) there are two commercial products: TechTool Pro 4.5.2 (www.micromat.com) and Drive Genius 1.5.1 (www.prosofteng.com.)
Try DU, it's pretty good unless the directory is too badly trashed to be repaired.
For data recovery there's Data Rescue II (www.prosofteng.com) and File Salvage (www.subrosasoft.com.)
Why reward points?(Quoted from Discussions Terms of Use.)
The reward system helps to increase community participation. When a community member gives you (or another member) a reward for providing helpful advice or a solution to their question, your accumulated points will increase your status level within the community.
Members may reward you with 5 points if they deem that your reply is helpful and 10 points if you post a solution to their issue. Likewise, when you mark a reply as Helpful or Solved in your own created topic, you will be awarding the respondent with the same point values.

  • Can anyone recommend a free maintenance utility for panther ?

I have an iBook running OS 10.3.5 Panther. It is not running as well as it used to despite clearing the hard drive of old files. I think it would benefit from some kind of a maintenance script utility that would clean and optimise the system. This is a spare computer that we use mostly for surfing, email and iTunes, my main computer is a newer Macbook. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good 3rd party downloadable utility for Panther, preferably free or shareware, that I could install and run periodically?

    Hi 12frets56!
"Can anyone tell me what "BSD Subsystem installed" means? .... How would I know if my iBook has this?"
BSD Subsystem is a Unix tool, and numerous applications require it to function.
If I find a more technical definition, I'll post it!
Unless you performed a custom install, and chose to not install it, the BSD subsystem is installed by default when you install Mac OS X.
EDIT: Here ya go Berkeley Software Ditrubution!
Navigate to HD > Library > Receipts. If BSD is installed, the file BSD.pkg will be present.
If it is not installed, repost for further instruction.
As Texas Mac Man (Tom) posted, insufficient available space, can cause performance issues, system corruption, and possible loss of data.
Depending on Mac system usage habits, it is a general recommendation, to keep 10% to as much as 20%, of the Total capacity, available at all times.
Review the suggestions, in the documents that I have linked to below.
    Authored by Dr Smoke:
Problems From Insufficient RAM And Free Hard Disk Space
Freeing Space On Your Mac OS X Startup Disk
Have you ever run any routine Maintenance procedures, as suggested in the articles linked to below?
Mac OS X 10.3/10.4: System Maintenance, authored by Gulliver
Maintaining Mac OS X, authored by Dr Smoke
Is the Mac shutdown overnight, or does it run 24/7?
As posted, if you turn the Mac off nightly, the Background Maintenance Tasks, are never run.
The CRON Commands, can be run manually as well, using Terminal.
I also use MacJanitor when necessary.
INSTRUCTIONS TO RUN CRON MANUAL COMMANDS
    Quit all applications/programs.
Navigate to HD > Applications > Utilities.
Double click on Terminal, to open.
    At the prompt, type:
    sudo periodic daily
    Press Return.
Enter your Admin password when prompted, then press Return.
This will execute the daily script that is sheduled to run every night.
When completed, repeat this procedure, but change the command to:
    sudo periodic weekly
This one rebuilds a database or two, and usually takes somewhat longer to complete. It is scheduled to run once a week.
    Repeat again, with command:
    sudo periodic monthly
Or they can all be run in one pass, which is preferable, with this command:
    sudo periodic daily weekly monthly
When the tasks complete, and return to the prompt, you may quit Terminal.
Restart the Mac, and run Repair Permissions.
TO REPAIR PERMISSIONS ON THE STARTUP DISK
1.Open Disk Utility, located in Applications/Utilities, and select the startup disk in the left column.
    2.Click First Aid.
3.Click Verify Disk Permissions to test permissions or Repair Disk Permissions to test and repair permissions. (I never "Verify". Just run "Repair".)
Rerun RP, until the only messages reported, are listed here Spurious Permissions Errors Using: 10.3.x, authored by Michael Conniff.
When "Repair Permissions" is complete. Quit "Disk Utility".
After you have done some Spring Cleaning, you can use the 10.3.9 Combo Update, to upgrade to the final version.

  • What is disk utility for?

what is the function of disk utility under application? can someone tell me how to use it?

    The hatter wrote:
It is used to format drives, repair permission, and has some ability to repair disk errors, though most go with Disk Warrior.
I think thats a very brief summary of what DU can do, and I'd advise you to check the OSX Help for more DU usages. I'd write that DU can also: repair start-up disk, get info on a disk or volume, create a RAID HD array, SMART-based diagnostic for HD failure, transfer or back-up data as a disk image, burn a CD or DVD, protect info on removable media, see contents on disk image, erase and secure erase a disk/volume... etc
I don't think most Mac users head straight to DW either. I may be guessing but I reckon most simply let their Macs run and run using Leopard with no care at all for file system maintenance. Nonetheless DW is useful third-party utility for some forms of file system repair, though many only bother with it if DU or other means of OS X trouble shooting haven't sorted out the issue first.

  • Statistic on throughput of data loader utility

    Hi All
Can you guys share some statistics on throughput of data loader utility ? If you are looking for number of records you may consider 1 Million, how long it would take to import this ?.
I need these number to make a call on using Web Service or Data loader utility. Any suggestion is appreciated.
    Thank you.

It really depends on the object and the amount of data in there (both the number of fields you are mapping, and how much data is in the table).
    For example…
One of my clients has over 1.2M Accounts. It takes about 3 hours (multi-tenant) to INSERT 28k new customers. But when we were first doing it, it was sub-1hour. Because the bulk loader is limited on the record count (most objects are limited to 30k records in the input file), you will need to break up your file accordingly.
But strangely, the “Financial Account” object (not normally exposed in the standard CRMOD), we can insert 30k records in about 30 min (and there are over 1M rows in that table). Part of this is probably due to the number of fields on the account and the address itself (remember it is a separate table in the underlying DB, even though it looks like there are two address sets of fields on the account).
The bulk loader and the wizard are roughly the same. However, the command line approach doesn’t allow for simultaneously INSERT/UPDATE (there are little tricks around this; depends how you might prepare the extract files from your other system... UPDATE file and a INSERT file, some systems aren't able to extract this due to the way they are built).
Some objects you should be very careful with because the way the indexes are built. For example, ASSET and CONTACT both will create duplicates even when you have an “External Unique Id”. For those, we use web services. You aren’t limited to a file size there. I think (same client) we have over 800k ASSETS and 1.5M CONTACTS.
The ASSET load (via webservice which does both INSERT and UPDATE) typically can insert about 40k records in about 6 hours.
The CONTACT load (via webservice which does both INSERT and UPDATE) typically can insert about 40k records in about 10 hours.
Your best shot is to do some timings via the import wizard and do a little linear time increase as you increase the data size sitting in the tables.
My company (Hitachi Consulting) can help build these things (both automated bulk loaders and web services) if you are interested due to limited resource bandwidth or other factors.

  • Canon c300 - Prelude or Canon XF Utility for Ingest?

Hey all, I've been scouring the net for advice on an upcoming shoot I'm DIT/Media Manager for, just to make sure that I got my workflow down pat. Problem is, I haven't really found reliable answers either way concerning the above question, so I thought I'd put it to the community to see what their response was.
Mainly, for ingest of c300 footage recorded to CF cards, what is your workflow to get the media into Premiere?
    Do you
    A)
Ingest card with Canon XF utility to multiple drives > Create new project with Premiere CC > use Media Browser to import your cards - > start cutting
    OR
    B)
Ingest card with Prelude CC to multiple drives -> Send to Premiere -> Start cutting.
Or some combination there of? Do any of you Transcode to ProRes or DNxHD?
My biggest concern is avoiding corrupting the data from the card. I know Prelude has a MD5 checksum, which is why i use it for pretty much everything else (not sure if XF utility does a bit by bit comparison). But I'm worried about the Spanning mutliple clips issues as this is a interview, multi camera shoot with long takes (see here -> http://forums.adobe.com/message/5045764#5045764)
Any other advice you have, or examples of your workflow would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    D
Oh and for reference, my system is:
    2011 15" MBP i7 2.2 ghz
    8 GB RAM
    Mountain Lion 10.8.5
CC (and CS6 if it works better)

For me, XF Utility without any doubt since i don't want to transcode the footage.
I transfer the cards with Explorer or Finder and then point XF Utility to the footage to either delete clips and/or create vitrual cards and transfer the files from the card/s to new virtual cards for better file managament. If you use XF Utility to transfer the footage from the camera to a virtual card, it will work and spanned clips will work as expected, so it is not necessary to first transfer the card and it's whole content to the computer. I have used XF utility for years and know that it works with spanned footage and that one can use it to transfer let's say 10 clips from a card in the camera with 100 clips on it. Premiere Pro has no problems to import virtual cards created with XF Utility. Timecode and everything is still there.
Use both methods and decide which one is best for you. (ie XF Utility of Prelude)

  • Utility for Optimizing/Defragging drives?

Any suggestions on a good third-party utility for optimizing/defragging external Firewire drives?
    Thanks -

I think it is rather unfortunate that Apple does not have an official stance on this issue as it pertains for Logic. It is my understanding that it is the responsibility of the operating system to write the actual data to the disk. This allows developers, including developers of the major DAW manufacturers, a certain freedom from having to worry about how that data is written. I would have to think it's very easy for them to make a blanket statement and say: "sure - you should definitely defrag", without fully understanding the details of how OS X maintains its filesystem, and therefore whether or not it's really necessary to do so. Not that they're not incredibly talented programmers - it's just that they don't really need to worry about this stuff, just as I don't have to worry about how TCP/IP works when sending data across a network.
Now, in spite of my skepticism, I admit that I am tempted to try defragging my audio drive to see if helps improve performance, but I have to ask: how does one measure this? Is the disk I/O indicator within Logic a good indicator? Perhaps one of the low-level command line tools within OS X would be better?

  • Loggin Utility for JCAPS 6.0

Implementing Utility Logging for J CAPS 6.0 .
Actually I want to implement Log4j utility for BPEL and my query is how we can call java file from BPEL is there any way for that ?
I have mentioned sample data for the fileds which I want to use for logging purpose.
OUTPUT PARAMETER "TYPE(Mandatory/Optional/Conditional/Defaulted)" DATA TYPE DESCRIPTION
PID TRUE M String "Unique ID assigned to message/service call. Remains the same from source(customer) till target(application)
or vice versa or Application to Application(Can call it Master ID)"

This is a question that popped up in another thread on this forum.
I am curious why you need to develop a new logging utility for BPEL. Both BPEL 1.0 (eInsight) and BPEL 2.0 (BPEL SE) already provide you with the ability to construct and dispatch arbitrary logging messages at whatever severity is normally supported (FINEST, FINER, FINE, INFO, CONFIG, etc). How you set the loogin message varies between BPEL 1.0 and BPEL 2.0 tooling but the logging messages end up in the application server's server.log if the right logging capture level is set for the component (eInsight Engine and BPEL SE). The logging infrastructure, which underlies the Java CAPS 6 is java.util.logging-based. There may be an argument as to which is better, that or log4j but this is besides the point as java.util.logging is what is already there and log4j would have to be added. This logging framework is the same as that that can be used out of Java EE and other places in the Java CAPS 6 suite. There is even a way to filter and replicate selected logging entries to additional logs. The blog entry at http://blogs.sun.com/javacapsfieldtech/entry/java_caps_5_1_312 discusses how this can be done for Java CAPS 5.1. With a little bit of effort one should be able to adapt the method to Java CAPS 6.

Looks like you might consider using GMT time for all date/time calculations as follows, which
will return the same value everywhere in the world:
      SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat('dd-MM-yyyy');
      sdf.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT"));
Note: I always store GMT time in the database for all projects, then convert it to a person's locale as needed for display.
The OP's code assumes that the string dates are in his default timezone. His code will convert these dates to java.util.Date objects which store all dates as the number of milliseconds since 1/1/1970 00:00:00 UTC ( the epoch ). There is only ever any need to specify the timezone with SimpleDateFormat if the date string is is not in the default time zone. The site the OP is using as a reference also assumes that the string versions are in the default time zone so the comparison should be valid.
P.S. Strictly one should use UTC and not the outdated GMT.

I have the following problems (using of the jdk 1.5.0_15)
One hour is systematicallay added when i ask to convert a date in millisecond for a date with first days of the month of october before 1996.
Why are you still using such an ancient version of Java?
There have been many changes to Timezone functionality since 2005 especially for Daylight Savings Time calculations.
At a minimum, you should update your Jave version with the latest timezone data. Get the TZUpdate tool and use it and then retest and post the results.
