Hi,
Is anyone could upconvert those VI from LV 5.1 to LV 2010? The LabView 2010 program even can not open it. It says: the file is too old to convert to LV 2010........

Upconvert vxistubs and _vxitls to labview 2010

Coud you please upconvert the ni vxi utilities in the libraries of the attached files to labview 2010? I tried to use these and labview stated they were too old for my labview to convert

I hate to tell you this, but that library is obsolete. There's no actual code in the subVIs that actually interface to the hardware. All of the VIs just have the terminals of the controls/indicators on the block diagram, and that's it. That library is obsolete. Check the Drivers section of the NI site (click Support) in the menu bar to find the updated drivers.

One of the subVIs in the library ("Read Status") was actually LabVIEW 3 and could not be upconverted since that requires a special toolkit from NI.

This file is a custom step created using VBAI 2009. To use it in VBAI 2010, follow these instructions:
First, you must have LabVIEW 2010 / Vision Development Module 2010 and VBAI 2010 (including the VBAI 2010 SDK installed.
1) Make sure the file is located in your <Vision Builder AI 2009>\Userplugins folder.
2) Launch LabVIEW 2010. From the LabVIEW menu, click on Tools>>Vision Builder AI 2010>>Import Vision Builder AI step.
3) Follow the instructions from the wizard. It will guide you through the steps to select your step and import it.

Mass compile crashes LabVIEW 2010

Before I go ahead and call the support line
Pentium 4
2.8GHZ
2GB RAM
XP 32 bit
Anyone have issues mass compiling an application code from 8.6.1 to 2010 SP1 whereby it would seem to work fine for quite awhile then crash?
I tries no cache on the VI and all other items are off.
It seems to happen even in subdirectories of the application.
I just installed 2010 SP1 and the device drivers and when I look at them in isolation they seem to be installed correctly.
I can also load the 8.6.1 application
Im just wondering if Mass Compile is running out of memory and is it known issue or am I discovering something.
I will attempt to log results on the next try.

I have reviewed your issues, asked around, and have a couple tips and questions.
First, if there is any chance you could post your project in a zipped format, then we could examine it on our end and see if we experience the same issue, which would make it easy to file a CAR on. If you are wary of posting your code publicly, you can PM me, and we can work out a way to upload it to our FTP server that only NI employees can access.
richjoh, in your posted Mass Compile screen, I see a VI being flagged as bad. When you open this VI on it's own do you experience this problem? Can you locate in that VI where it calls the NanoMsg.lvclass?
Second, to either of you, were the controls and lvclasses mentioned still referenced in your projects anywhere? Were they included in the dependencies? If not, once you restored these files into the project, find them in the
dependencies, right click them, choose "Find">"Callers". Where they still being called anywhere?
Alternative to your solutions, have you considered creating a new project and adding all of your VIs into the new project? I have seen this resolve upconverting issues in the past.

Sharepoint 2010 Library - All documents are Read Only regardless of permissions and clicking edit

Good afternoon all,
I'm running out of places for me to find assistance on this issue, and am hoping you can help. We're running Sharepoint 2010 as our Intranet. Myself and the rest of the IT staff are administrators, and we're looking under a section that we're specifically
in control of where we have documents for our use. One of the administrators reported that he wasn't able to open a document, and neither was I. This was an older spreadsheet that was never converted. I couldn't open it either, nor could I delete it or manipulate
the entry in the library. I could open explorer and open the file that way, or download it through Chrome.
I was able to remove the file, upconvert the file to .xlsx, and reupload it. Now myself and the users are able to open the file, but we can't manipulate it. In addition to this, it seems that any Office file that we attempt to open in Sharepoint opens up
in Read Only. If we click Read Only, and hit Edit, it stays Read Only (once in a blue moon it allows us to edit it). If we hit edit it still says Read Only at the top.
I'm not the most experienced at Sharepoint so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

For your issue, try to get rid of the serviceDebug and serviceMetadata entries in the web application's web.config:
