Update 10.3.1.1779 - Keeps Downloading

Just changed to a Blackberry Classic and updated to the latest version of software one of which was 10.3.1.1779. I downloaded the update and restarted. Since then I have constant requests to download and install the same update. Not sure if this is a software issue or Im being stupid. Very annoying. Any ideas? Tom

Hi and Welcome to the Community! It sounds like something did not go right with the automatic update...the recommended resolution is to perform a full official OS reload. Refer:http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-Functions-and/How-to-Reload-your-Blackberry10-OS/td-p/2187545#nobannerAlso, do note that OS is widely reported to have many many issues, and BB has released several since then to resolve such issues. But, as has always been, your carrier controls the release of new OS levels to you...BB releases to the carriers all at the same time, but some carriers are slower than others to then release to their end users. Fortunately, there are clever users who have created unofficial methods by which you can bypass those carrier controls:http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using-Autoloader/td-p/2466747#nobannerhttp://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-leaked-beta-os-f395/bb10-os-archive-943672/Do note however, that the OS value you cited will be useless in that unofficial process. The number you cited is the "Software Release", which is completely different from the true OS value. Refer:Article ID: KB23393 How to find the model number and OS version on a BlackBerry smartphoneAll of the discussions are archives are sorted by the true OS level; the Software Release level is completely irrelevant to the discussion and process. Good luck!

  • Software Update server keeps downloading updates when set not to

When I first setup our server (10.5.x) for software update, I looked over the option to to uncheck the box for automatically downloading updates from Apple. Since then, it has downloaded pretty much everything. I've unchecked that option and also selected it to delete old updates. It keeps downloading updates and won't delete older updates. We've since upgraded to 10.6.2. Same thing. I've even manually deleted ALL of the updates only to watch them all come back. Any clues?

Welcome to the wonderful world that is the Software Update Service
I have the same problem and have yet to find a sensible answer to this problem. I have three Macs at home and only need a small proportion of the updates that Apple supply yet no matter what I do, I can't seem to stop SUS downloading everything even though I don't want it and have told it not to download.
Best of luck getting any sense out of Apple on this. I'm going to try a home made solution to get round this problem.

  • Adobe update keeps downloading adobe updater over and over again

..and it won't stop! It looks like the same 2.3mb file that the update program is trying to download. Once the update is started it just keeps trying to download that file until I cancel the update. I am sure I have never gotten an update on my new programs because of this. Any ideas?

This is how in CS3. Most likely it's applicable to all CS versions.
In Photoshop, open any document or a blank new document; go to the menu Help<Updates; select Preferences; uncheck the box that says "Automatically check for Updates." (If you don't open a document first, the update choice is grayed out.)
    Not so fast...
You need to also turn off the auto updates in Bridge.
Open Bridge, go to menu<Updates; select Preferences; uncheck the box that says "Automatically check for Updates."

Hi, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Mac OS X 10.5 is not a free download. You have to buy it.

Not all iBooks are compatible with Mac OS X 10.5. Check out the system requirements here:

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

I downloaded Adobe Acrobat XI Pro - I signed in and now all I get is the Adobe Download Assistant with a prompt to keep downloading the program or help page. How can I launch the actual program and not the Assistant?
Under the download or application file I only have the Assistant program

Isabellasf have you ran the installation files which were downloaded?  By default they are downloaded to the download folder within your User folder.

  • HT4191 Hi, I can't log in App Store, keep downloading, any one can advise, thanks

Hi, I can't log in App Store, keep downloading, any one can advise, thanks

Make Sure iOS is updated to the latest version
Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

  • Im trying to update my itunes but its keeps coming up with invaild signature. How do i fix it?

Im trying to update my itunes but it keeps saying invaild signature. How can i fix this? Its driving me mad

Assuming a PC restart does not fix the problem, the simplest thing is to get a friend to download the installer for you and put it on a memory stick.
This issue has been associated with router problems.
If a known good copy of the installer still gives the same error there may be a problem in Windows.

  • I keep downloading Firefox 8.0 onto my computer but it still shows that I am running 3.5.6 (something like that). How do I get the downloads to actually install and then run?

I keep downloading Firefox updates of 8.0 but it says I am still using 3.56 (something like that). How do I actually install the Firefox updates and then run them? They are downloaded but apparently they are not running. How do I make them run?
My current version of Firefox continues to (not responding) when I try navigating and it is very frustrating. I am ready to uninstall Firefox and go back to Explorer. Help.

found a fix... had this today.
I deleted FirefoxExtensionsSetup within this folder:
    HD/Applications/Adobe Contribute CS5.1/SupportFiles/FireFoxExtension
    Then Firefox worked.
Good luck to all... delete at your own risk.

The download box with the 'barber-pole' moving just goes on and on.

If you have problem with updating Firefox then easiest is to trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

I have Firefox version 3.6.22 (Mac) & keep downloading Firefox 6.0.2 for Mac (as prompted) to my new Macbook Pro, running Lion (OS 10.7.1) and it won't open and install. WTF?

something similar has been happening to me for a a couple weeks (even before the most recent update, but now is definitely worse) on my 2010 MacBook Air. Firefox freezes upon startup, and then freezes maybe every twenty minutes or so when I'm actively using it, staying frozen for at least a minute or two. it drives me crazy.
