Update 4.0.1 And iPhone 4

Once I updated my phone, now I cannot sync my music library to my phone. On the phone with support for 2 hours still not resolved. Any ideas?

Hopefully someone can advise, i have begun updating my iphone 4 to 4.0.1, but it seems to have frozen midway through the process. I have apple logo with progress bar underneath which has not moved for about 2 hours or more. Also Itunes green progress bar stuck too.
Any ideas what i should do to sort out?? Is it safe to just unplug and restore or something, just feels a bit wrong to do?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. This is what I have discovered. If I purchase an app that I've never purchased before it does download to both devices. Seems to only work when a never before used app is downloaded. If I have previously downloaded an app before I began using iCloud to sync multiple devices the apps don't appear on all devices.

Updates stuck on iPad and iPhone

In trying to update several apps on my iPad and iPhone, they got stuck in "installing" mode and will not finish. I've completely powered off the devices, but it didn't help. The next time I said update, the apps did the same thing. One is Keynote.

After updating iTunes 10.5 and iPhone 4 iOS 5 my phone doesn't work at all. It freezes while it is trying to do the Restore phone. That means I have not have a functional phone for two days now. Same thing happens with my iPad 2.

Hi, This afternoon I connected my iPad to my PC(laptop running 32bit Vista) and it wanted to update software. I allowed this and about 1/5 of the way through updating the iPad 2 iTunes has just frozen.So I unplugged and of course my iPad 2 wants to restore when I reconnect. I called the support center and they informed me that it may have been a slow connection or that it could have been because I had other programs open on my desktop. When I was speakking to the support center I informed them that it was not a problem with iTunes because I had updated my iPhone 4. But I have realised that I had not updated the phone for a while and.... What do you know!!!!! I now have a iPad 2 that wants to restore itself and I cannot. And I have a iPhone that, as I write this is stuck trying to download the latest software.
I have worked out that both the iPad and iPhone have been backed up prior to the software being updated.
What is wrong and is it a problem with iTunes and do I need to re-install this.
I need this fixed asap as I am leaving Australia for 3 weeks in the UK.

I to have a new ipad2 and each time I plug into PC, it say to update & download or just download, I've done both and a few times now. Each time it gets .5 way and stops due to losing com's with sever. Each time is says the download/update it going to take 9-11 hrs,
Also when ever watching YouTube or other videos it is all way buffeting why......

Pages not updating iCloud between iPad and IPhone

Can somebody please help?
My Pages app won't stream the current documents to my iPhone using iCloud .
I've tried everything I could possibly do. I've deleted the Pages app off my iPhone and started again. It just won't update the current documents that reflect on my iPad.
It just has the arrows pointing upwards on the top right hand corner of quite a few documents. This is suggesting that there is no Internet connection when there is. I've tried it over WiFi and on 2 separate Bluetooth pairings with 2 iPhones. Each time it is connected with the Internet but the arrows still suggest otherwise.
I have turned every possible iCloud on in every area. Turned them off then on, reset my phone from scratch doing a clean install not using a previous back up. Still didn't work... Then going back and resetting using a previous back up... Still didn't work :(
I have a 6 month old Mac Mini, the latest iPhone 5 and one month old iPad 4 with the current software updates.....

I believe you are misunderstanding. You don't sync apps between iPad and iPhone, and iCloud has nothing to do with any of this. There is a setting in Settings -> Store where you can set each device to automatically download NEW apps, meaning that when you buy a new app on one device, the other automatically downloads it. However, this is for new downloads only.
For your existing apps, you can simply connect each device to your computer and move the desired apps to it in iTunes. Or you can go to the App Store and re-download those apps.

Updated to Mountain Lion and also updated Aperture now ipad and iphone images are unsupported?

I've looked all over here and maybe I've missed it, but the only images that are missing or receiving the unsported image are the ones that have been taken with the iphone or ipad. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
I've tried reprocessing the photos and this still doesn't work. The photos that I recently imported from my Canon 60D are fine. Also when my photos re-synced with facebook they are now showing up there as the ! unsupported image on facebook.

Battery life greatly decreased after ios 5.0.1 update on iPad 2 and iPhone 4S

Really disappointing considering my iPad 2 battery life used to be great, lasting up to a week with no recharge necessary. Now my iPad battery life drops 1% every few minutes of casual use.
My iPhone 4S battery life under ios 5.0 used to be decent and could hold the charge well when idle only losing 1% every few hours as long as it was just sleeping. Now I am losing 10 - 15% every few hours when it is just sleeping. When I surf the net, I lose 1% each minute! This is with pretty much every battery wasting feature turned off except Siri.
I'm not sure how Apple managed to exacerbate a problem affecting tens of millions of people around the world with a fix that they've had weeks to test. I mean they could've just emailed me and asked me to test it before they released it to the public, I could've told you within a few minutes that it didn't work.
Apple consistenly have problems with each new iPhone release. They just can't seem to get it 100% right. The camera, antenna and speed have vastly improved over the iPhone 4, but arguably the most important feature has taken a nose dive in quality. I can't believe they marketed this phone as having IMPROVED battery life? I don't think one person will agree that that is an accurate statement.

Do you have wifi syncing turned on? Is your itunes always open?
There is a glitch with the iPad where, as long and anytime iTunes is open, it'll sync...like once an hour or some such rate.
Originally the wifi syncing was only supposed to take place if the device is plugged into power, but that's not the case. If I have my iTunes open my iPad will try to sync almost continuously.
So check your wifi sync and iTunes settings (my iTunes used to be set to open automatically when the device is connected, I had to change it to only open when I do it manually because in the course of an evening's surfing my iPad opened my iTunes and started to sync three different times until I turned it off)
If you have iCloud syncing enabled that may also be contributing to your battery issues. I don't sync over iCloud, I tried it but after it ate all my contacts, I stopped using it. However, if the same glitch is present, the device trying to continually sync even when not plugged into power, that could also be part of your drain.

Live Updating/Syncing Between Mac and iPhone eMail Accounts

I have three primary eMail accounts
     - [email protected] (Cable Provider)
     - [email protected]
     - My School eMail
I use all these eMails a ton, spending several hours each day. One of my biggest time consumers is having to organize every eMail on my two accounts (iPhone Mail and Mac Mail) by putting them into folders, deleating junkmail and newslatters, ect. Is there some way using iCloud, or another program even to sycronize these mail accounts wirelessly? That way if I move and eMail to a folder on my Mac, it will move to the same folder on my iPhone, and if I delete another eMail on my phone, it is deleted on my Mac too?

You will have to go the the Photos tab in iTunes when you connect the iPhone. Then reset the photo sync options. They were reset with the upgrade to use iCloud by default, but you can change the settings back to sync folders, just like before.

Numbers wont work After update on ipad 2 and iphone 5s with iCloud sync activated!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
    1.    Open Numbers on your computer and move any documents in iCloud to your desktop for safe keeping.
    2.    Navigate to system preferences > iCloud > Manage and check that Numbers documents are not taking any space in the cloud, delete them if they are.
    3.    Enable iCloud syncing for Numbers on your mobile device and launch the App.
    4.    If Numbers now opens properly, start to add back documents from your desktop one at a time (or in small groups if you have many).

Recent iTunes purchases will not play on my iPhone after recent update. Grey cloud and red arrow syndrome. Please help?

I need a bit of help. I have made a handful of itunes purchases over the past few months. Yesterday, I updated both my itunes and iphone with the latest updates. Now, after the update on my iphone I can not get my recent song purchases to play (they played before I updated my phone). There is a greay cloud with the downward pointing red arrow. When I click the cloud/arrow nothing happens and it won't download. I've tried a handful of things that I have found on these forums to no avail. I've reset software, checked/unchecked this box on my phone and on itunes on my computer, removed and re-installed. I know this is all a litle vague on what I have done, but please know I've tried and tried all kinds of advice. Now, I have tpo reach out to the community and see if there is soomehting else that may work.
