updated 710219 stalled in the progress of updating
- update device software screen says "during these steps, do not disconnect your device or interupt this process as it could make your device unusable"
well my connection is been stalled at
- module"net_rim_bbid_daemon.cod" since last night at 10pm it is now 9am the next day
have to get to work or does rim remeburse for lost wages?
does rim purchase a new phone?
what do i do now?

When my Itunes Match tries to update, it stalls every time on the third step "Uploading remaining songs and artwork". If I don't cancel it, very shortly I get a message saying "Itunes has stopped working" and then Itunes shuts down completely. Is there a fix for this? I have the most recent version of Itunes. HELP!

Software Update has stalled after restart

Updates for Safari 6.2.5, iTunes 12.1.2, and Security Update have stalled after restarting the computer on Mini i7 10.8.5. – the progress bar hangs at ~75% through. What should I do?

Unfortunately, I am past being able to do that b/c the computer has restarted and all I have is the little 'Installing Software Update' window on a gray hatched background without any buttons or controls to use. I tried send a photo of the screen but now iPhoto on my MBPi7 10.8.5 crashes after failing to load the images from my iPhone 5c. The MBP has 'successfully' installed the same updates I am having trouble with on my Mini – something is really fracked up with these updates!
What shall I do with my Mini? – I do not know if force power down in mid-update will destroy my OS and data.

All software updates installs stall on 'configuring installation'

Hello,
I've noticed that I've been forced to manually download and install the past three updates for my computer. The 2008-007 security, RAW 2.3, and now the Safari 3.2 update. I've noticed several others with the same problems regarding the individual updates.
Is this a part of a larger problem? Is there a fix other than the manual install that I've missed?

The same thing keeps happening to me. I will try to do what you did to install manually.
I tried three time to install and it stalled at configuring system. I closed my computer and came back an hour later and found that the computer was almost frying itself, the fan was running at 100% AND THE OUTSIDE OF THE COMPUTER WAS TO HOT TO EVEN TOUCH!!!!!
I grabbed a sock and opened it and shut it down, when I restarted it the fan started running at high again, and then about 5 minutes later it calmed down. What is the deal?

Try tapping the app itself, that worked on mine. Also if it doesnt, you can delete the app and reinstall it.

FCP 10.1.1 Updating Projects Stall on Import

Hi All - I've read a bunch of other threads, and can't find this particular issues happening elsewhere.
I have done a similar proces to others where I've stupidly clicked 'update all' before I realised what was happening...
I've tried using EM X with mixed results, and have managed to import half of my projects.
The other half, always fail to import... They just hang on update.
I've tried trashing prefs, clean folders, restarts, even removing project timelines from within projects, so there's only one timeline - and these projects always seem to hang. Just can't get them into FCP X 10.1.1
I'd appreciate any help! - This is driving me nuts.

Hi Al & Russ, Thanks for your help here.
The Events are stored on an internal drive, as we shoot with RED, it's not feasible to store everything on one drive. Having said that, the files have always been on this drive, and we've not had any issues under 10.0.9
I've attached some pics below to show you the drive setup, along with a sample a projects I'm trying to update (doing them one at a time as they need separate libraries) I also have the EMX open to show you that we're working with one project, and then finally the FCPX window that stalls at this point (for ever)
So Russ, when I have been able to import / update the files on 3 other curent projects, I have kept them (Saved to Old Files folder - you may be able to see it)
Hope this sheds some light - love to know why everyone else in the world dosn't have any problems except me.
Thanks guys - appreciate any help.
(Note: I have tried using EMX to open, and doing manually open and updates - with dumping prefs, restarts and trashing reguslarly)

Adobe Acrobat Update Manager Stalls Apple

Every time I start up the PowerBook, the Adobe Acrobat Update Manager (for Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional) stalls the start-up. An error window shows, on the Apple, indicating this. It requires, each and every time, a manual close-out of the Adobe updater. I have tried to remove updater, and yet it continues. This is NOT for the Reader but for the full-blown Adobe Acrobat program. Thank you.

Hi Jay, open Acrobat>Preferences and check for automatic updates to uncheck.
Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check System Preferences, the Other row for possibilities.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

/System/Library/LaunchDaemons

While attempting to install Acrobat XI Pro (11.0.10) update, it stalls

Acrobat XI Pro (11.0.00) said there was an update.
So I clicked on it, downloaded it and have been attempting to install it.
It goes through all the steps installing the update, until it gets to the "Status: Copying new files" and just stalls with "Time remaining: 37 seconds".
I've also downloaded the update from the ftp site and tried with the same results.
Any help would be great!

Recent apple update problem stalled iPhone

Recent apple update stalled my iPhone and phone shows that I need to connect to iTunes.

Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on another computer and restore your iphone.
Either way you have to restore your iphone.

Can I get the former version of Firefox back? The updated version stalls while browsing several times a day. I then have to close and restart.

Since updating Firefox, several times a day browsing will 'stall'. I have to close the browser and wait several minutes before I can restart it. Can I get the former version back? Please.

My iOS6 update repeatedly stalls.

The G4 won't update by either WiFi or hardwired to PowerBook. It starts to download and then just stalls--no error messages--a very unsatisfactory result. Why is this, Apple? This updating is behaving as not-ready-for-primetime.

In regard to your question, I keep updated to the most recent versions of all Apple iTunes on both PC and iPhone.
The phone iOS6 finally loaded on about two hours after I posted. I started out by keeping it connected to my MacBookPro, but finally unhooked the phone and left it on a charge and logged into the WiFi. An operation that the iPhone said at the start would take 46 minutes actually took over four and a half hours, so my experience indicated that one should not believe the information that comes at the start. In the midst of this--about an hour and a half in, a "remaining two minutes" came on and then the download stalled again. That's when I posted my query that you answered. This was on a home high-speed cable connection that did not change connection speeds nor was there any firewall to foul the connection. It appears the download problem is now solved, but my advice to others is to upgrade during overnight hours.

A portion of my update has stalled

A portion of my iPad update has been installed and the apps that will not update have been highlighted in gray with a clock symbol. Turning the ipad off and back on does not help.

Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Why does my update installation stall every time?
