Update 8.2.0 (65) sound and video problems. Adobe please help

I have just updated to the latest version of Premiere as indicated. I get occasional black flashes on video even when it's static. Also I'm using an iMac on a thunderbolt cable driving premiere off my laptop. I have opted to route sound via thunderbolt to the iMac. This is working perfectly for ALL applications other than Premiere where it insists on through the macbook speakers instead of the iMac sound system. Please help

I tried 'clean' on media cache but it's not resolved the issue. What I have noticed is if I change the renderer engine to software only then the black flickering is not present. However I feel I must be missing out on acceleration that my laptop is capable of and putting extra strain on the processor when the video hardware should be handling this. Any advice on how I can get this working without switching to software based rendering?

Sound and video problems?

ok here is the deal, i got all the latest drivers for my system.
i got the
MSI 875P NEO LSR mainboard
p4 3 ghz with HT
with 1024mb ram
160 gb s-ata
geforce fx 5600 XT/256 mb
soundblaster live 5.1 sound
when i play heavy games like HALO or Need for speed my sounds and video works not correct BUT it should not be a problem because my amd 1800+ with gforce ti 4200 did better
i think it's the mainboard but does ANYONE has an solution or the same problem?
o yeah my system reboots sometimes when i put new hardware on it (had it with my USB modem 4 ADSL)

This sounds like it is your PSU giving troubles. What wattage is your PSU, and what are the 3.3v, 5v and 12v ratings on the PSU? (You can find out this info on the sticker that is attached to the PSU)

HP Envy dv6 sound and video problems

I bought my laptop just over a year ago. In the past two days, it's developed problems with both video (video loads but freezes, usually at .02 into the video), and with audio, which works fine for a few minutes after start-up, but then goes out. The problems occur whether the video or audio is in a browser or a dvd or a downloaded file. Further, the mute button is unresponsive at those times - when I hit it, it doesn't change (turn red for mute). I found one response in the forums but it was for a different Envy model (mine does not have a Beats button). I tried it anyway but it didn't work. Halp!

Hello unerenarde, welcome to the HP Forums.
It appears that you have an issue with the audio and video on your notebook. That this occurs from multiple sources. I will try to assist you with this.
I would first recommend updating all drivers. To do this use the HP Support Assistant. This tool will check what drivers need to be updated and provide them to you.
After that, take a look at these documents:
No Sound from the Speakers or Headphones (Windows 7)
TV and DVD Video Playback is Choppy and Skips
The titles may not be exact to what your issue is, but the steps might be helpful.
If those fail to assist with the issue, please reply back with the Model and Product numbers for your notebook, as well as the currently installed operating system.

I really need emergency iphone help- please- it has gone into restoration mode and wont come out unless i click restore- if i do will i loose all my photos and videos etc? please help!!!

i recently plugged my iphone4 into my laptop to sync, when i plugged it in, itunes told me that i needed to update my software, so i clicked up date and walked awayfrom my computer leaving it to do the rest, but by the time i came back to my laptop 2-3 hours later i had realized that it has run out of charge and because of it my phone had gone into retoration mode- and the only way to fix it was to press restore. what do i do? do i click restore or will that take my phone back to factory settings as i have a tonne of photos and videos etc that i have not backed up yet?
what should i do anny coments or ideas please let me know!

The first step in the upgrade process is a backup.
Did iTunes not create a new backup when you first connected it?
You really should be syncing your device and copying pictures off of it on a regular basis.
Starting an upgrade without first syncing and copying the pictures off is not a bright idea.
At this point, you only option is to restore.
Also, in the future, ensure your laptop is plugged into external power before starting upgrades.

Using Photo and Video on iTunes: Please Help!

Hi, just bought the iPod video. Managed to transfer pictures to it, but cannot see them on iTunes. I can on the iPod, but cannot on computer through iTunes. Is this possible to do? If not, how do you delete pictures you do not want to include for example?
About videos: am I correct thinking I can add my own only if I upgrade to Quick Time Pro? Apparently is a really bad software and doesn't really work.
Please help me if you can I have tried the help functions and read for ages, but cannot find answers. Thank you

There are two places to change automatic sync. The first one is in iTunes, once you have opened the program, go to Edit>preferences>Syncing tab, and check the box that says, "Disable automatic syncing for all iPhones and iPods". The second place is after you have connected the iPhone, in the middle of the Summary page, there are three checkboxes, and if memory serves, the first one is Automatic syncing.
In reading your post, maybe when you did the sync, you lost some information? Your contact information should have been saved to your contact manager, depending on which OS you use as to what it would be. Music, etc. would be in your iTunes library. Am I reading you correctly?

After Effects CS6 renders audio and video separately. Please help!

Trying to render a finished video so that I can upload it to Youtube, but having extreme rendering difficulties. The only way my audio and video are combined in one file is when I export the project as a lossless AVI. Best quality for sure, but the size is MUCH too massive. Any other format I try always separates the audio and video. I have no idea why. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ISight Built in Camera on iMovie09 and speed problem. Please Help

I recently installed imovie09 after using imovie06 for quite sometime. I am getting two problems for now. First, when my videos from iPhoto got imported to iMovie, the audio is working fine but the actual clip is skipping. Is this normal? For me to able to fix it, I have to go to clip adjustment and do convert clip all the time. This is really annoying specially My video will consist at least 7 clips. Is there any other way? Second, I tried to use the isight built in camera so it can be only one clip. I noticed that when I was filming, my audio and my actual video is not on the right timing and when its time for me to save it and play it back, it was skipping also! I recorded 1 minute video and it will only play for 12 seconds! To top it off, it's not the first 12sec of the video but it's actually skipping through out the one minute clip I did.
Can anyone please help me with this situation. I will very much appreciate it. I don't want to end up regretting that I upgraded to imovie09 only to find out things will be much complicated

As you now know, iMovie '09 work differently than our iMovie HD 6.
Although your iMovie '09 offers many improvements over the previous iMovie '08 version, the older version imports the same way your iMovie version does, i.e., differently from iMovie HD 6.

It seems you will have to convert your existing clips using one of the methods detailed there.
For future video clips, you may want to choose a different video capture device that is more compatible with your new iMovie so you will not need to do separate conversion.

Red Light and iTunes problems! Please help!

My macbook is a little more than a year old. Just recently a little red light came on inside the headphone jack and the internal speakers will not work any longer.
Well, I searched online and read about the "switch" that sometimes gets thrown off or whatever. I've tried locating this switch with a toothpick and small metal rod, but I can't find it. If I hold the metal rod in a certain way, the light will go off momentarily. And if I hold the headphone jack in a certain way, the internal speakers will work momentarily.
And just recently, iTunes has started acting up. I play a song, and it will play through the speakers. I take the plug to the speakers out of my macbook and plug it back in, and iTunes will not play the song. It states that it is playing, but no sound is coming out of the speakers that had just worked prior to unplugging them. I have to restart iTunes for it to work.
I can't afford to send my Macbook in.
Please Help!

Now, on top of all of this, I have to jiggle the headphone switch around to even get full sound; otherwise sound only comes out of one side

Illustrator CS6 opening and saving problem. Please help

I have Illustrator CS6 installed on windows 8.1. Every time I save a file as ai. format, it will automatically create a copy on the desktop. When I deleted the copy and try opening the original file, the error message "The file is an unknown format and cannot be opened" pops up. I've checked that the file is not "read only", deleted the pref files and even reinstalled Illustrator CS6 but none of these have solved the problem. I have also noticed that I cannot copy or rename the file as the same error message pops up. Any solutions? please help

(1) When I go to open files, raw or jpeg, I now need to enter a value for 'enable' on the open dialog. That never was necessary before.
Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels/Dialogs visible?
(2) When I go to save as jpeg, the file type defaults to eps.
So you select jpg from the dropdown list and it switches to eps?

Latest 13" MBP Sound and video problem

So I got my hands on a new 13" macbook pro yesterday. Got it home and installed leopard. Since I have a macbook (1gen) as well I choosed to use the agent to let me transfer some settings from my old MB. A few hours later and the transfer was done and nothing worked as I hoped it would do. I had to set up mail, office and everything like it was newly installed. Figured I didnt bother with all the hassle and finally swapped the disks. And that worked, mail, firefox and office was working perfectly just like on my old macbook.
BUT, I have no sound I get the "stop" sign when trying to adjust the volume and such. Is there a easy fix for this? (besides reinstalling, and thus loosing info again.)

I have an external 23" (2006) ACD that I have connected to my MBP via the mini display port. And Im seeing some green noise on the status bar on my windows?
I will try to take some pictures and post here.
Notes.
When rebooting, I dont see the normal boot window, Im seeing a lot of text, like booting linux. Is this normal? (Dont remember what it says)
I have all the software updates installed.

Grimnar, I am like you I don't like having to re-setup everything from the scratch and I had the same issue of sound after swapping the HDD from old MB to new MBP 13", but I found a fix for it with little tweaking, steps I took is in this thread:

Mind you though, I also reinstalled 10.5.7 combo update on the new MBP 13" after swapping of the HDD to make the OSX recognize most of the MBP hardware before making the backup copy (Step 0).

Sound and video problems on T500

Hello,
I have some problems with my T500.
When I'me listening to music on iTunes or other programs or when I'm watching movies, the music (or movie) is not continuous and jerk (I'me not sure it's the good word, english is not my mother language ) It's rather unpleasant.
And often when the computer is working I hear a kind of whisling coming from my computer, I think it's the processor but I'm not sure.
Any ideas anybody??

MS-6368 sound and video problem

I have a MS-6368 and made the upgrade to W2K, but now the sound card make a sound like a hundred bees if there are no other aplication using it.
I thougt that it was a bios problem and I upgrade it with the newest that I found in the MSI web site, but now my screen have less space in the right side.
Anybody have a solution for my problem. ;(

How to playback sound and video in Adobe Reader in Linux?

Hi one of the killer features of Adobe Acrobat is the ability to embed multimedia content in .PDF documents. (I do hope Adobe extend this functionality).
In Windows Adobe Reader plays these files back just fine (so for example you can make an audio book), but in Linux whenever a .PDF is opened containing multi media content, the application complains that no supported media player is installed.
I have real player installed, as this appears to be the only supported media player - but the acroread executable appears to be unable to find it. (Or at least it seems to not be able to use it). Where exactly is it looking for the executable? (Or is it looking for it at all?
Is there a way to play back embedded media content in PDF documents when using Linux?
I'm using Ubuntu 7.10.
