Update All Button Gone

Before upgrading to 2.0.2, when there are multiple updates available in the app store, I used to see an update all button. Now, however, I have upgraded to 2.0.2 and that button is not there. Has anyone else had this button disappear once updated to 2.0.2? If not, how can I fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Then I guess you are one of those selfish users that is causing bad reception for others in the Nashville Metro area. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1685396&tstart=45

  • How can I fix the Mac App Store "Update All" button?

When I have multiple updates, the "Update All" button appears, but doesn't work. It's not greyed-out; if I click on it, it gets dark while I hold the mouse button down. But nothing happens. No error message; it just doesn't work.
I can manually update my apps one at a time; the "Update" buttons next to individual apps work.
    I'm running 10.8.5 on a MacBook Pro.
I've tried restarting, and repairing permissions, neither of which helped.

You need to update to Snow Leopard 10.6.6 to get the App store. If you're on an earlier version of Snow Leopard, just hit
     > Software Update
If you're on 10.5 Leopard, you'll need to contact Apple and purchase a Snow Leopard disk or a Lion USB Flash drive.

  • My apps are not being updated when pressing the update all button. It just says installing and no update is being done., my apps are not being updated when pressing the update all button. It just says installing and no update is being done.

Must be serious because you have stated the problem 4 times now.
Here are a number of things that you can try and maybe one of them will help.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
You can also try going to the App Store, find an app that needs an update, tap on the app icon to bring up the description page, then tap on install that way, rather than using the Update option from the app updates screen.
And ... You can always install the updates in iTunes on your computer and then sync them to the iPad.

  • Why is the update all button missing?

    Self explanatory.

@PogoPossom: Thanks for your efforts in answering this question. I faced the same mystery of the Update All button missing, even though I'm logged in. I tried powering down the iPad and restarting and that fixed the issue - now the Update All button appears. Is this a bug or a feature?

The app that does not want to update was it originally downlaoded with a different ID?  If so use that ID and hte password you set for it to update the app

  • Application update that does not support my current ios version prevents me from using "update all" button

i do not want to update my ios version, but an update of the application, mint requires ios 5.  that is fine, but now i can't use the "update all" button if multiple application updates are pending.  doing that will result in an error about my ios version, but it only applies to mint.  how do i get around this.  it is tedious going into each application update manually and clicking "update".

how do i get around this.
You can't get around it, that is the way the system works. You cannot alter it. When you upgrade to iOS 5 the issue will disappear.

  • Update all button not working after today's update

After today's iTunes update, the button to update all available app updates no longer works despite multiple clicks. Now each app can only be updated by accepting one at a time. If there are only one or two apps it is not too bad, but I had 15 today!

if you have ONE app that is no longer available or has a problem with it (access, country/location, etc.) then the whole batch will fail. *****, because you can't tell which app until you go through all of them one by one. update often

  • After iTunes update all playlists gone

I updated my iTunes, now all my playlists are gone and it changed it´s destination folder (It used to be my external hd now its on C).
My music files are still on my external hd. I tried system restore but that didn't reset anything. How do I get my playlists back?

    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping.  Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • I use a macair osx 10.9.1 after Iphoto update all pics gone

    someone can help

    That was a poor decision.
Your photo's may be gone, I suggest downloading a copy of EasyFind and doing a thorough search of your Mac for them, if they are not there then they are gone.
Consider investing $50 or so on an external drive and turning Time Machine on. That way you be less likely to lose any more files.

  • My "update all" buton will not work in the app store.  It gives me a message saying there is not enough storage to update.. I know i have storage left on the phone.  I even bought more icloud storage.  Any ideas??? Please help??? thanks

My update all button will not work in the app store.  It keeps giving me a crazy message about not having enough storage to update apps.  Please help? I know i have storgage on icloud and on the phone itself.  Any ideas? Thanks

    Try deleting the old backup.
Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the device name and on the resulting screen, scroll down and tap on Delete Backup.

  • Since I downloaded the new operating system to my iPod touch I can no longer update my Apps or download new ones.  My password is recognized but the download process is immediately interrupted when I touch update (all) or download.

Since I downloaded the new operating system (6.1.3) to my iPod touch I can no longer update my Apps or download and new Apps.  My password is recognized but when touching the update (all) button or download, the screen immediately reverts to the earlier screen and no updating or downloading occurs.

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps...  Sign Out of the Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • [PlayBook] Sort-order of "MyWorld", "Update all" and notifications

One of the things that bugs me when using the App World on my PlayBook is the fact, that when the "My World" tab features updates, I have to scoll through the whole list to see which Apps got updates and apply them.
Would be much better if they were on top of the list just like on Android 2.2+ devices because it's much usable interface.
Also, an "Update all" button is missing. Because there are no automatic notifications that tell you (without opening the App World App) that there new updates available, it's possible that you only check for updates once a week or less frequent. Then when you check, there are so many updates that clicking those update-buttons makes you angry (or at least annoyed .
So three things an update of the App World on the PlayBook should cover:
    1) display Apps in My World that got updated on top of the list,
    2) check for updates in the background and notify the user via notifications and
    3) add an "Update all" button to click one instead of ten buttons.

Did anyone think about the update all button?
It's still missing in OS 2 but after just having to approve some updates, it continues to be one of the things that would be nice to have
