Update already installed of iPhoto
I have a notification of 1 update in the app store constantly for iPhoto which has already been updated. There is no update just the number 1 on the App shield in the dock. How do I get rid of this annoying issue?
You can drag the App Store icon up and off the Dock to avoid seeing in red update badge but you would need to check for updates at the App Store manually. You'll see a red badge on Updates in the menu top of the App Store window if there's an update available.

Try to Restore with iTunes on your computer. If this does not work, there is full Warranty. Make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution.

This maybe a dumb question but...If I buy Aperture are the updates already installed into the purchased version or do I need to update them after the prograam is installed?
Should come updated from the Mac App Store. Obviously, it's tough to keep things up to date when they are sitting in a box on a store shelf.

For two of my apps, the ipod tells me that I have updates, but then tells me that the update is already installed. What can i do to rectify the situation?
Try updating the apps from iTunes and then sync your ipod--that may do it. This happened to me once, but I just went into "Updates" on my iPod AppStore and it refreshed, removing already-completed updates.

Prompting on updates already installed
When I installed 7.1.1 yesterday, iTunes presented updates for 5 of my apps. These were already updated on the phone, but iTunes didn't pick them up. So I updated from iTunes. Today it is telling me I have the same updated all over again. The version numbers are the same as I already have.
Come on Apple. Test something before you release it.You can only update with the Apple ID those apps are purchased with. It is not transfable.
Suggest you download them with your own Apple ID. -
I have a PC/Windows Vista and use Firefox, and the Adobe Flash Player has always run fine for me. But yesterday when trying to play a game on facebook it told me I needed to update the player to the latest version. After installing it said that I already had the latest version, but after going to the help section it said that the Flash Player either wasn't installed on my PC or wasn't enabled. I went to my 'add ons' as instructed, but what I was supposed to see wasn't there. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Player again, but I'm still getting the same message when I try to play a game.
I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to do, so any help or advice would be much appreciated!Run the uninstaller:

Update already installed updates
It is getting very annoying...
My Cloud CC app keeps on saying I have to update (Camera Raw) my Photoshop CC but this update has already been installed. I had exact the same problem with the previous update of Photoshop CC.
I've tried to log out of Cloud CC and log back in but that doesn't help - I've tried to rename the opm.db-file... without success.
Now I would like to get an solution for this problem so this bug isn't going to bug me anymore!

Yes I've tried this the first time the problem occurred. But unfortunately it doesn't fix the update issue.

Latest update already installed but can't open file
I have recently downloaded the latest update for Pages (version 5.2), and my Appstore updates pages confirm this by showing "installed" but when I go to open a Pages documents, I get a message saying I need a newer version of Pages to open the file. Then when I open up my Pages, despite the appearance being that of the latest version (ie. starting with the iCloud window), when I check on my "about Pages", sure enough, it says my version is only 4.2. I'm completely at a loss as to what I should do? It was working fine for days after I had downloaded the latest version. But because my kid had stuffed up my desktop and deleted one of my folders, I went to the time machine to restore. Is that what caused the problem?
Pages 5.x is in the Appliations folder
Pages 4.2 is in the Applications/iwork 09 folder
You have to make sure you are opening the documents in the right version. I know it is confusing as the icon on the documents all shows Pages 5 icon. -
Can't Download New or Updated Already Installed Apps?
When I try to purchase a new app or update apps already on my iPhone 4S i get an error message that reads "an unkown error has occured" and the downloads are stoped before they even start. This seems to have happened to me at the same time I set up my new iPad on Friday afternoon.

Icloud says Iphoto needs to be updated for me to download my photos .There is no available update so i attempted to purchase . Says I dont need to purchase that it is already installed . Am unable to download my photos untill this is resolved . Any help would be greatly apperciated .
Backup the iPhoto library and download the 9.1 iodate and install again then download the 9.3 update and install it

can´t update pre installed iPhoto version 9.1.5 to 9.2 because in App Store is said i have to login with the ID I bought iPhoto!
I did not buy iPhoto with any ID because it was already preinstalled!?Did you try re-installing OS x Lion? That was the solution for me. Just make a back up with time machine and then restart your mac and during restart press ALT. Then you'll acces the support screen and there you can reinstall OS X lion on your macintosh HD.
This was the solution the people from Apple support gave me and afterwards I could download the update perfectly. -
I am trying to download new version of iTunes from App store having purchased it on my laptop. When I try to download on my iMac I get the following message:
Error message when I try to download new iTunes as follows: iPhoto 7.1.5 is already installed and was not purchased from the Mac App Store - and then I am asked if I want to buy it again. I don't understand the error message and I don't want to purchase the new version again.
Also, since upgrading to Lion my videos (from Sanyo Xacti camera) do not play on iTunes. I can only open photos.

i have iphoto 9.1.5 0n my imac (10.6.8). when i go to apple store to buy iphoto 9.2.3, it says it's already installed. any ideas?
Why would you buy iPhoto 9.2.3 when you have iPhoto 9 already. The path from .1.5 to .2.3 is an update. Try run Software Update on your Mac.

How can I install iPhoto 9 and use iCloud Photostreaming, when App Store says it is already installed? I have two Apple IDs (family computer) which may be the root of the confusion. The one I use for iTunes purchasing and use solely on my work iMac has already upgraded successfully.

To use Photo Stream and iCloud you will need iPhoto '11 ( version 9.3.x) not iPhoto '09. The version numbers are rather confusing.
when App Store says it is already installed?
Do you see it in the AppStore as installed, when you sign in with your AppleID, but you cannot update it?
Backup your computer and you iPhoto libraries.
Then delete iPhoto from the Applications folder, or from whereever it is installed; you do not need to empty the trash. This way you will be able to put iPhoto back.
Sign into the App Store with your apple ID and reinstall instead of update.
Does that work?
If not, put iPhoto back and try with the other AppleID.
