Update and addon splash screens show up at start-up every time Firefox is opened?

Recently, whenever I open a new Firefox session, the one-time screen thanking me for updating shows up, alongside whatever other "thank you for updating" webpages my various add-ons have. Ghostery's config screen, the FEBE welcome page, etc. Does anyone know how I can stop this, or what causes it? At first I thought it was an issue with Firefox 3.6, so I updated to Firefox 6; it still happens.

# Make sure that in Tools, Options, Content you don't have 'open tabs from last time' selected.
# In the Tabs section of the Options window, tick 'Ask before closing multiple tabs'.
I think these two should help to resolve the issue.
