Update app not installed ?

I find update app "CodeBox" in my app store while its not installed I have never bought it and its my account not someone else how can I delete it ?!!

One or two questions.
Are you the only person with access to your machine?
Was it new or second hand when you obtained it?
Have you looked in 'Hidden apps' for it?

Codebox is a developer tool available from the App Store. Most items like this can be dragged to the trash to delete unless there's an uninstaller provided by the developer. This will tell you about the app.

You may not have downloaded this one but for future information the golden rule is ... never download a program without first learning how to uninstall it.

I tried this and still have the same problems. If I open Address book or the Mac App Store I get the library rebuild popup and a hang. I created a fresh user and then things are better apart from the printing issue. Its clearly some 3rd party software issue but the crash logs are meningless to me. I used the excellent Etre check app from http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck so I have a list of what is being loaded and can compare clean and crashed user info but as I cant work out which of the startup items, launch agents, launch daemons etc that are causing the problem.
I have eliminated Dropbox, Mac Keeper and Witness, and it isnt related to my exterrnal LED cinema dispay or my external thunderbolt drives, or any USB devices if thats any help to anyone else. Info from Etrecheck follows -

Updates will not install using App Store on 10.7.5

Updates will not install using the App Store. I am using a MacBook Pro on 10.7.5. When I click the button labeled "update" in App Store, the little wheel in the upper left-hand corner continues to spin forever (I waited 12 hours one time) but nothing happens. No updates will install. My Macbook Pro has always operated without issues since I bought it new in 2009, and I have a reliable, fast internet connection.

Let's try a test here.
Make a new User Account, and try to update from there.

App Store notifies updates for not installed app?

Hello,
I keep getting an update notification for an app not installed (anymore? I can't rememeber if I ever installed it) on my MBP.
Is there a way to hide/override it?
I already tried cleaning App Store cache but nothing changed.
Any clue?

You can "hide" a purchased item by hovering over its listing in the "Purchases" tab. A small "x" will appear, and if you click on it the item will disappear from the list:
You still are entitled to it, though, and can "unhide" it later by going to
Store Menu > View My Account

Help - Logic 8.0.2 update does not install

The Logic 8.0.2 Update does not install on my machine. The installer goes through the motions very quickly and my Logic Pro app still indicates version 8.0.1. Logic node, Waveburner, etc. all seem to have updated to the .2 version. After not taking with Software Update, I downloaded the updater and that didn't work as well. I have also tried trashing the appropriate Receipt packages (though there was no Logic 8.0.2 receipt). Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks for your help, Erik. I just got off the phone with Apple support and the solution was dumber than dumb: somewhere along the line Logic Pro was renamed "Logic Pro 8" to distinguish it from ver. 7 still on my system. Renamed it "Logic Pro" and voila, the installer recognizes it!

Viewer Builder update does not install

The Viewer Builder update (Viewer-Builder-1.7.0-RC.dmg) does not install. After downloading and removing Viewer Builder from the Applications folder, this update does not install.
Steps:
- Removed Viewer Builder app from Applications folder
- Download update from Adobe Site
- Click to install
- Opens package and performed some kind of install activity. There are no prompts and quickly finishes
- No Viewer Builder installed.
Any insights on to this would definitely help.

upgrade folio builder tools does not work..
this morning I tried to update the folio builder tools, from out of indesign cs5.5 on a windows PC..tried 5 times...still get the update message in the folio builder panel in Indesign.
this afternoon I tried the same on a completely different windows machine...same result...the thing does not work, no upgrade gets installed, I tried 20 times, even also the other tool....????????

Updated Apps Not Syncing

For the past 6 weeks or so any updated Apps fail to sync with an unknown error message. I then have to delete the app from the phone, download again and then it works. This is a right pain and I am beginning o get well & truly fed up with it & Apple.
Any suggestions?
PS If anyone from Apple sees this, when are we going to be able to have customised ie downloadable SMS tones in the UK???

Right, just updated Amazon and the 2 messages (can't c&p) were
1) App not installed due to unknown error 0xE000001
2) Phone could not be synced unknown error 13014
These are the same messages I get whatever the app.
Now it's not even installing after I delete the app from the iphone & itunes, restart both & download from new!!

I had already done that when it didn't load install completely from the app store notice. It goes all the way to the final part of the installation including moving things in place etc, but a the very last moment it says "Installation failure - An unexpected error has occurred. Contact your software vendor."

How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
