Update apple ID to connect to iTunes on iPod touch 5
How can I change/update my Apple ID on my iPod Touch? My iPod Touch asks for an Apple ID that I don't know.
Apple Help tells my how to update on my computer, but the ID does not synch to my iPod Touch.
I changed my Apple ID on my MacBook Pro to connect to iTunes, but the same Apple ID does not update to my iPod Touch (7.7.2). Therefore I can no longer download updates or aps to my iPod.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

Cannot connect to itunes store ipod touch via router
I am new to Ipod ownership and so far its been a good experience.
I have been searching on the web but not been able to find a solution to my problem.
The issue I have is that recently I cannot download apps from the app store via my home router. I can search the internet etc using it but when I click to install an app I get the message that says "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". I have tried to use a different wireless router (my mobile phone acting as a hotspot) and do not get the same message.
I assume therefore that there is some issue between the router (a netgear WGR614) and the ipod. The annoying thing is that I could do it earlier in the week.
Any help would be much appreciated.

App Store doesn't work; can't connect to iTunes Store iPod touch
iOS 6 nothing fixes it
My son was having this issue on his latest gen iPod touch. Worked fine for months then suddenly after a trip from our home in Wisconsin to Toronto he was getting the error message "can't connect to the iTunes Store" when he'd click on the App Store icon. I searched the forums for an hour. Tried all the tricks I read. Turned out once I set his date and time settings to automatic it started working again.
Bizarre.

I m using iPhone 3gs (ios5.1.1) but today I update it to ios 6.1.3 after the update it got suckon " connect to itunes " symble. And when I was trying to connect it to iTunes it showed restore and update? When I selected that it start downloading ios 6.1.3 on iTunes . I m unable to use my iPhone what to do pls tell me?

how do you know which updates you need for your a second generation ipod touch. I havent used my ipod touch in forever and now no matter what i do no matter how many times i restart everything it still wont show up in itunes or my pc when its connected it charges but thats about it. ??

i have an ipod touch and for some reason cannot connect to itunes store. I have full wifi and can get on my safari and was able to update my apps before. I can still get apps but when i try to update it says cannot connect to itunes store. Some1 help!

Go to www.ecamm.com and d/l PhoneView.
To prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - hold down the 'option' and the 'command' keys when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - key the keys down until the iPod/iPhone is listed under the Devices list in iTunes - this will prevent a sync from taking place.
With PhoneView you can take the content from the device to the iTunes library.

How do I fix this on my iPhone 4S?Same phone and ios, same problem. Worked just fine for me Sunday, but nothing today, all day. As a workaround I found I can still connect using iTunes on my Macbook Pro, the I synch my iPhone. There are way too many people with the same problem for it to be anything but Apples problem. Hope this helps.

You can download app updates on your computer's iTunes and then sync those updates to your device(s) - that is the computer that you sync the device(s) to ?
When you connect a device to a computer's iTunes, then on its Apps tab you should be able to scroll through the listbox of apps and click the 'Update' button next to the apps that have updates on your computer that you want to sync to the device, and then click the Apply/Sync button bottom right of the screen. -

For the past 2-3 months everytime I connect my iPhone or iPod touch to my laptop to update the software through itunes I have issues. I have tried download and install option and the download only option. When the progress bar gets to 100 % downloading and switches to start to install I get an error message that says something like connection issue/timed out/network something. My internet is working so what am I doing wrong when I didn't used to have this problem?
I've been getting timed out for 2 days now, what finally worked for me was not plugging the phone into the computer and just doing the update through my wifi, worked perfectly, took less than 15 minutes
