Update badge notification

I use : Iphone 5S - IOS 8.1.1
Every time that i want to update the IOS on my iphone i have to check for in (Setting-General-Software Update) or someone of my friends to inform me
i dont see the red badge notification anymore, what i have to do?

Have you checked Settings > Notifications > App Store to see that "Badge App Icon" is set to on?

you CAN delete them it has to do with metadata!! google metadata removal of notifications and there will be plenty of explanations, Also look it up on youtube, I just finished watching a video on it!! there are always ways to remove things on any operating system, Just some are easier than others. if you don't know or only have wrong info to give then just keep your trap shut!!!! obviously there is a way to go around everything, Hackers have taught sony and the government all about this! (common sense) so if you don't know move along!! obviously I'm not advocating hacking, What I am advocating is people in chat rooms judging others or giving misleading info just to mess with others. You don't have anything more important to do than to try and misguide an innocent until proven guilty user with a question? Just because they don't want to update an app doesn't mean they are "doing something illegal:" many apps with updates lose features and actually makes an app that we use to enjoy very much, now not so great!! you all know I'm right because anyone with a smartphone has been through this, Do i update or not? we've all had that question. and as far as apple is concerned, had everyone "updated" there software last year when they rolled out the new what i like to call SECURITY BREACH update a lot more than the millions that were already exposed would be ****** off too!! Software update for the most part is a good thing, they fix bugs and allow our machines to run smoother, but don't for one moment think that the software updates are without flaws and certainly don't think they "the apps companies" have your best interest in mind!!

Settings Badge notification

i have an iPad air. Since the iOS 8 update, I have a badge notification on my settings and cannot get rid of it. I have gone through all the settings, restored from iCloud, restored the iPad from iTunes, turned off iCloud drive, and have turned off and on iCloud alltogether. Still cannot get rid of the badge notification. In addition, I don't have the option for the iCloud Photo Library (even though it's beta) in my settings.
any suggestions Other than taking it to the Apple Store?

Clear badge notification from Settings App

So I recetnly installed the iOS 6.0 update on my iPhone 4, problem is the badge notification (big red "1") is still showing up on my "Settings" app/icon. How do I clear it, because it is soooo annoying?!?!

I am VERY cautious about software updates and have therefore not updated any of my devices. I might, and I stress, might update the 4S to get Do-not-disturb, but most likely only when .01 or .1 comes out. The iPad will most propably stay on 5.1.1 as there are no real benefits for it in iOS6 over iOS5 (for the functions I use). I believe that if something is working properbly, why rock the boat?
As mentioned I gave the iPhone 4 to my parents. They are both in their 70's and only use it to make calls and send SMS messages. iOS6 will have no benefit for them and I'm not risking a 4 in perfect working order with a software upate that can cause WiFi issues, FaceTime issues and the usual battery drain. The 4 is working perfectly for them. No need to take the risk.

BBM Group updates and notifications not showing up in Hub? The notifications are turned ON in Group settings. And all BBM notifications are enable in the Hub, still nothing shows up. Picture comments, addition, status updates simply dont show up. My device is on 10.0.10.58.
Any workaround?

IOS 8.1.2 app update badge

I just resurrected an old thread, but I wanted to start a new thread here.
The Update badge counter on the App store app will not go away after the apps have been updated.
More specifically, I am updating apps via cable sync from desktop Itunes. The apps are updated on the devices via the cable sync, but the counter stays there. After the cable update, when I open app store app on device, the apps needing update will first show Update next to them, then quickly change to Open, but the counter remains.
Iphone 6, iOS 8.1.2
Ipad 2 iOS 8.1.2
Iphone 5 iOS 8.1.2
I called Apple service (my iPhone 6 is still under warranty), they had no clue what was happening. All they did was told me to call them back another day and gave me a case ID.
I have rebooted devices and restored them both as new and from backup. When the restore is done, the counter goes away, but then when a new app needs updating, it happens again.
Anyobody having this issue recently and fixed it? It's very annoying.

I have the same problem but not from beginning, seems like it happened after I restore many time after I found the sync problem.

Calendar Red Badge Notifications

Hi all, new iPhone user here.
Could someone please tell why I am not getting red badge notifications on the calendar icon. This is really frustrating!

I don't/can't have MS exchange as the set up for outlook emails as they are via BT and in pop format 9correct me me if wrong) I only meant it was a bit of a pain as I would have thought the red badge should appear for any entry put in the calendar inrespective of the service it goes though. After all does the notification come from the info stored on the phone?
As for third party apps, I was hopeing that things like RSS and twitter items would show which they don't seem to (I am using Fee RSS and Twitbit) I don't have to many subscriptions through these so red blindness would not be a problem but it would be nivce to know when stuff come in without checking periodically.
Perhaps I am doing this all wrong do you have any hints or suggestions.

How do I get badge notifications to appear?

Hi! I am hoping that I can get some help. I have a Galaxy S4 running 4.4.2 and my badge notifications for Pinterest and Facebook only appear on the app icon in the app drawer - not on the icon I have on my home screen. I have googled this and read forums and some say that Android doesn't support it and some say that it does but the 3 other members of my family have the same phone and they do see the badge notifications on the apps on their home screens. My Words with Friends app on the home screen shows the badge number of notifications, as well as the default email app, but not Facebook or Pinterest. It is now driving me crazy as to why I am the only one, of my family, that cannot see badge notification numbers on my home screen for Facebook and Pinterest.
If someone could please help me figure this out, I would be very grateful. Thank you!

The good news is that the developer of the application will be able to provide all the information needed to ensure the application is at it's best for your device. The developer contact information is usually included in the general information portion of the Application in your Google Play Store.

MAS has 1 update badge. I open MAS, but no updates?

Hi,
This started over the weekend.
The Mac App Store has a badge on it indicating one update available.
As soon as I open the Mac App Store, the badge disappears.
As soon as I close the Mac App Store, the badge reappears.
I don't have any pirated software on the Mac, but I do have several apps that I bought before MAS came out... which are now carried in the MAS, but don't show as installed.
I've opened all of them and none of them indicate that they have an update available.
Anyone have any ideas how to figure out 1) why MAS indicates an update while closed, but not when open, or 2) how do I remove the bogus (at least in appearance) update badge?

I wish Apple would make this MAJOR point clear:
Apps ever purchased outside the MAS are not connected to those within.
When the next full version comes out, then if you real want to (neg reasons why not to use the MAS: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3071406 ) you can buy the new version within the MAS.
I personally wouldn't buy from the MAS for reasons within that thread above.
(BTW, the badge issue is because the MAS updates system does not work properly.)

App update badge always locks up

Everytime an app update badge pops up on my screen it locks up. When I scroll my mouse over the badge it shows the rainbow pinwheel. I can clear this be restarting my computer but why does it lock up everytime and is there a way to fix this?

Hmm. I just bought a MBP Retina 2.7 from apple.com, and am having a very similar experience. The app store tells me I have Angry Birds installed and need to download the update. I don't have Angry Birds installed on my MBP... but I do have it on my iPhone (which, I believe, is different, as it's a different OS altogether). When I log in to update it, it has [email protected] as my login (whom I figure is the original owner of this update), which is definitely NOT my login! And my MBP came SEALED in a BOX, all wrapped up, new. So I wonder what gives? I have tried to locate the app store preferences, so I can trash them, but they are nowhere to be found, that is, if they're still called
com.apple.appstore.plist or com.apple.storeagent.pllist under Mountain Lion...
I have logged into my Apple account and everthing is correct, so I'm not sure what's going on here. I've tried signing out of the App store, and it crashes every time and signing back in with my name and PW can get me back in, but I have that ghostly update hanging there, that I never ordered, which of course won't work because I don't have the correct password for the Russian e-mail address. Very weird. How can I delete the update file?
The next step, I suppose, is an option-restart and disk utilities check, then maybe a reinstall of Mt.Lion. Ugh.

Though the new update shows in the software update menu.

Software Update option is only available if you have IOS 5 or above.
Your iPhone 3G IOS 4.2.1 is the end of line, there's no more update for this model.

How to get away the Update Available Notification?

I have completely updated my OS X Mavericks, but since apple update the iTunes 11 to 12, i don't like the design as it won't match to os x mavericks since it make for yosemite( I update to iTunes 12 once but don't like it and make a clean install to reverse back, can reverse back without clean install?), and there will a Update Available notification keep show up, there is only "Update" and "Later" to choose from but there has no "NO" option since I don't want update my iTunes to 12 version(picture below), is there a way to get rid of the Update Nodification ONLY for iTunes 12 and allow for other application, I don't want to close mac app store update notifications, just want to disable for iTunes 12 update, it's annoying!

You can hide the notification.
Launch App store.
Click the "Update" tab on the top.
Right click on the specific update and choose "Hide Update".
To reverse it,
App Store > Store > Show All Software Updates

Issue with updating service notification using BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_ADD

Hi experts,
I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out with this.
I need to update the object code damage code and cause code of the notifications (transaction iw22) through portal. For this I have made a z BAPI and am calling it through portal. Now for my notification type H1 the damage and the object part are mandatory and the cause part is not. Now while trying to update(through portal) any H1 type of notification which already has object part and damage part filled but cause part blank I am getting the error notification locked by EPUSER. When I run the same z bapi on R3 giving same data then error doesnt come and every thing is updated successfully.
Even from portal I am able to update other type of notification where either all damage cause or object part is blank or filled. This particular issue happens only the notifications having only cause part is blank.
The logic that I have used to update the notification where cause part is blank is I have called first ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFY and have passed the damage code and object code table(notifitem) in its parameter so that damage code and object code can be modified(i havent passed the cause code table as passing empty cause code table(Notifcaus)to this bapi throws error) after calling this bapi i have called BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_ADD and in its parameter i have passed only cause code table(Notifcaus ) (I havent passed table having damage code and object code) . So on the successful execution of this two bapis i should get the updated object, damage and cause codes.
There is a sap note 1058895 which talks about the same issue but even after applying that note same problem is coming. We raised and OSS message to sap to but I guess it wont be of much help.
My observation is that after calling ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFY as I am trying to call ALM_NOTIF_DATA_ADD for same notification so its throwing the lock error but the point is that why then from the R3 side this error is not coming. Are there any FM to enqueue and dequeue notifications like we have for employee numbers in HR module.

Hi Friends,
     When I processed the order in CRM Online it got replicated to R/3
     and from R/3 Delivery and invoice got created and document is completed.
     The Issue is that the Bdoc which has to replciate the Delivery and Invoice back to CRM
     did not replicate and in SMW01 i could find the error against the Queue CSA_ORDER_4000*
     "Inconsistent update flags Message no. C(004" and
      in CRMD_ORDER I could see the error as,
      An error has occured in the system C23CLNT100 while copying the document
      Message no. CRM_ORDER_MISC 020
      Diagnosis
      Errors have occured while transferring the document into another system. Remove the error
      messages from the enclosed log.
      Transmission log
       Inconsistent update flags (Notification E C( 004)
     Please let me know if any one has faced this issue (I have already applied the OSS Note)
     and please tell me how to resolve this issue.
