Update BBM 7.0.1.23

My Blackberry 9220 came with the BBM working perfectly, so I decided to update it to the latest version 7.0.1.23  then it totally stop working and in fact the screen got all blue and the logo of BlackBerry appear on top. BBM on my blackberry doesn´t work anymore, I need help please!

Ohh .. Something might have gone wrong with the recent update  ! Can you try reinstalling BBM to see if that help , to reinstall  BlackBerry Messenger first On your Homescreen Go to Options > Device Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from there.

After deleting perform a  Battery Pull Restart by  removing the battery while your device is Powered On , wait a min. then re-insert it back . Finally reboot from your BlackBerry Browser browse to  www.blackberry.com/bbm and the most recent available for your device .After reinstalling see if that helps 
Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

  • Update bbm fail

    i went into my app world and updated my bbm i restarted it and when i turned it back on went into bbm their was this blue screen 
    first it said wellcome to bbm
    secound it told me cheacking ure blackberry ID
    thirid it said setting up bbm
    forth it said cannot set up bbm a temporary bbm server error has occurred retry
    i tried to delete bbm and reinstall it but the same thing comes up
    what to do to get it back to normall ?

  • Unable to update bbm.

    My blackberry phone is unable to update its blackberry messenger version to the latest one. Mine is running version 5.0 and am having a hard time having it udpated since the blackberry desktop software does not have any option of having it performed. The blackberry software only displays the bbm application as grayed out but does not provide a plus sign or anything that will tell me that it can be updated. I tried logging into the bb appworld but everytime I download it, the site says its already installed. I tried doing it wirelessly but my connection keeps on timing out, is there another way of updating it through my pc? thanks, I wil greatly appreciate your feedbacks on this.

  • Music Updates BBM Curve 3G

    I have upgraded Curve 9300 to OS 6. Now BBM does not display music updates. My Profile on BBM does not have an option to display "what i am listening to".????????

    If you downloaded the actual files they should show up in your media manager application under music. Do a hard reset (battery pull) to reset the device index files and see if they show up.

  • Problems updating BBM

    My phone got trashed and I'm not trying to repair it. I have BBM 5 on OS 6 working. I want to upgrade to BBM 8 which I had before my phone got trashed. App World thinks I have 8 installed so doesn't let me upgrade.
    How can I for App world to upgrade BBM?

  • Curve 9300 won't update BBM

    Hi, I have a Curve 9300 with V5.0.0.845 (6.3.0.34 platform), Blackberry App World V2.1.2.19 and BBM V5.0.0. Since BB App World is been telling me there is a new version of BBM (V5.0.3.22), I have tried to update my device with no luck. If I try to update it connecting the phone via wifi or data service, it tells me that BBM is not available for download via BB App World, and if I connect the phone to a pc and try to install it via the pc, it gets me an unknown error. Please help.

  • Updated BBM

    I've been having issues with the Blackberry world app, so I uninstalled & re-installed it on my phone, while connected to the desktop software.  It also apparently when through an update & changed my BB messenger. I've lost all of profile images that were assigned to the contacts on my list.  What happened? How can I get them back.  I've got a BB 8520 on AT&T carrier & very sad that it's changed........not liking it.

    You can try updating your BlackBerry messenger by going to www.blackberry.com/messenger on your BlackBerry Browser.
    If you used your Address Book pictures for your contacts, you may have to re-link them. Select your contact in BlackBerry Messenger then hit the Menu key. Scroll down to "Link with BlackBerry Contact".

    So I have had my BB since December and Its telling me to update bbm when I go to update, it tells me that I don't have enough memory and wants me to delete some things and lauguages that I don't use anyone know how to do that?? My phone is Blackberry 8310

  • BBM version 6.1.0.49 - my bbm contacts cant see my Dp when i change it (Bold 9900 )

    I just bought my blackberry a few days go and I can’t see the display image of BBM contacts and they also cant see mine.
     The only time I could see their display image is when they change it.
     I tried changing my and they still can’t see it.
     I have tried the following
    1.       Updated OS to version 7.0.0 bundle 2406
    2.       Updated BBM to v6.1.0.49
    3.       Registered by BBM via the HRT
    Go to Options
    Select the Advance Options
    Select Host Routing Table
    Choose the “BOLD” point
    Press your BB menu
    Select Register Now
    Then it would be showing some message, “Your Handheld registered with the wireless network..”
    Restart your BlackBerry devices.
     4.       Rebooted & Restarted after each update
    5.       Removed the battery and restarted
    6.  Used Desktop manager to delete and reinstall BBM
    7. Downgraded BBM version from 6.1.0.49 to 6.0.032 to 6.0.0.25
    8. Downgraded OS system from Version 7 latest to the version 7 before it
    9. Deleted and reinstalled app world
    10. in fact i have done everything i can possibly think of and still have the same problem and result
    At first I thought this would be ok after adding several BBM contacts, but I have added up to 10 contacts today and still cant see their display image and they too cant see mine.
     I would really appreciate assistance on this.

  • Voice/video calling over BBM is no longer available for OS 10.3.1.1565

    After updating to OS 10.3.1.1565 for my BB Passport voice/video calling over BBM is no
    longer available. I CANNOT MAKE VOICE OR VIDEO CALLS OVER BBM neither I CAN RECEIVE CALLS
    OVER BBM. I do use voice calling over bbm on a daily basis and I feel like I am now without
    my phone!
    I did update ALL the application offered for the update. Right now there are NO applications
    available for the update - all are up-to-date.
    BB World indicates I use BBM 10.6.4.10. I did REFRESH BB World with no changes. Yet NO UPDATES
    are offered.
    When I select the BBM application in BB World among the list of Installed application it
    says in red color "Unavailable for this device".
    I see some use BBM 10.6.5.10. Are there troubles with voice/video calling over BBM for
    10.6.5.10 & OS 10.3.1.1565?
    Maybe the bug is with BB World that is to be updated itself? But it does not offer me to
    update one.
    Does anyone have an idea how to fix that?

    I wish I new how to update
    I have purchased yesterday BB Classic for my wife and also updated OS for it.
    BBM works flawlessly with OS 10.3.1.1565 and preinstalled BBM 10.5.15.19. However its also indicates in red that the application is "Unavailable for this device".
    Anyone from Blackberry, would you please suggest how to update BBM in my case?! It is that vital for me.

  • BBM on 2 different smartphones

    I have 1 bbm username and ID set up for 2 different phones, both 9900`s. Since i updated BBM to enable voice, i can only use 1 device at a time for BBM, the screen says           "another device with the same username/ ID is registered, do you want to switch devices"     we are unable to send BBM messages to each other. Can anyone advise please.

    Welcome to the forums. 
    With BlackBerry Messenger 7.0, your BlackBerry Messenger contacts, profile, and groups are automatically backed up over the wireless network based on your BlackBerry ID. What this means is that if you use your BlackBerry ID on a device your BlackBerry Messenger information will be transferred to that device. The only way to get around this is to create a new BlackBerry ID for your second device and then manually input the BlackBerry Messenger contacts.

  • BBM not delivering messages

    Is there a server problem going on at the moment? Since last night when I've been sending bbm's I get a check mark that it's been sent, but it doesn't say it's delivered for 15-20 minutes. There obviously seems to be a problem since my phone is sending messages otherwise and the other people are recieving messages fine. To me, it seems like a server problem is occurring. Please let me know. I've also updated BBM and rebooted my phone a number of times and it's still not working.

  • Bbm installed but not on the phone

    i need help. yesrerday i updated bbm on my 9810 torch, after the phone restarted i couldnt find it.
    when i go to app word it shows as installed but i can not uninstall it.

    Have you tried a Battery Pull Restart yet ? If not then do it by removing the Battery while your Device is Powered On , wait for a min. then reinsert it back . your device may take a long reboot , then please check if you're able to access those Icon in your Homescreen .
    If still unable to locate then be sure it is not hidden , for that On your device home screen press the Menu button and select Show All Icons. It will display all icons that were previously hidden. If you see BlackBerry Messenger icon as greyed then highlight it and press the Menu key and select Unhide Icon , also search your folders like Instant Messenger, Application folder etc.
    Or you can simply re-download it , To do that first On your Homescreen Go to Options > Device Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from there.
