Update BP function and department

Hi All,
I have created a contact person with associated internet user using FM CRM_ISA_UA_IUSER_CREATE. This FM does not allow for BP central data.
When I try to use FM BAPI_BUPR_CONTP_CHANGE I get the message that there is no relationship between BP and vendor exist, but if I run BAPI_BUPR_CONTP_CREATE at the same point in the code I get a message saying a relationship already exists.
How can CRM have it both ways????
Any sensible suggestions please.

Hi Julian,
In a normal practice, you create an Internet user via ISA User Admin module by assigning BP and role. In this way a internet user get created a relationship get created between contact person of created user and assigned BP.
Could you please let me know if I am talking something else.

we use at the level of contact person the fields FUNCTION and DEPARTMENT where codes represent a function or department.
My question is how could we read the texts in users language for the codes in this fields?
Are there function modules we could use?

Use FM BUPR_CONTP_GET_DETAIL to get the codes of Function and department.
Read the language of the user
Pass those codes along with language to TB911 --> Departments and TB913 --> functions to get the descriptions repectively

Dropdown lists for function and department on BP are sorted by key not desc

Hi,
In the new WEB UI the dropdowns for function and department are sorted by the key rather than the description.
This is causing the users major problems as they usually end up grouped together because of the way they were named.
Can anyone suggest how i can get the F4 help in the WEB UI for department and function so it is sorted by the description.?

User Data like Function and Department

Dear all
I have to do a 1 time extraction of the user data. I need to know as in SU01 the Name, firstname, Function and Department.
I can not find in which table I can find the function and department.
Can somebody tell me where this information is stored and how the link to the user is made?

Hi Herbert,
I found the data element for the function field (AD_FNCTN) from the screen and did a where-used to get table ADCP. This is keyed on Person number and Address number. You'll get these from table USR21.
There may also be a function module to get this data, but these are the tables you need.

I have version 5.7 and every time I opened it I was told that updates are available and to click on the icon to access these. Instead it just took me to the
adobe page with nowhere visible to update. I then sought to download lightroom cc and this is when I could not access the 'develop' section due to reduced
functionality It was apparent that my photos had been put in cc but no way to access them unless I wanted to subscribe.
I have since remedied the problem as my original lightroom 5.7 icon is still available on the desktop and have gone back to that. I do feel that this is a bit
of a rip off and an unnecessary waste of my time though.

Open "Java Preferences" either from spotlight or your utilities folder...it's probably going to say you need to install a java runtime. Then just click install!

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the response. I tried that approach this evening and it didn't work for me. (Technically it worked for me, when I was hardwired into my base station, but would not work for me wirelessly, which is my main issue.)
Again, using the approach you recommended works only if I have my ethernet cable attached to the LAN port so my computer is communicating directly to the base station through the hard wire. I am able to scan for my base station and make setting adjustments normally this way too.
As soon as I disconnect from the LAN port and try to go wireless is where I run into problems. The Base Station's wireless network I created is available to choose in the top right corner of the monitor with all of the other available wireless devices/networks -- but the network I created does not have access to the internet. I am also unable to configure my Base Station wirelessly. When my Airport Utility tries to scan for the Base Station and Network, it cannot find any Apple Wireless Device. It's like the Wireless Network in my base station is not sending out a signal.
Is there a way to resolve this issue?

You need to upgrade OS X.

Surely I am able to connect to the help function when Icontact the website
of AdobeLR5.The problem is as follows,
When I open LR5 on my computer and work with it and try to open the help
function in the software, I don't get it.
When I bought the CD I was naiv enough to believe that I get an independent
working software. I learned in the meantime, that the seller does not allow
to work with, without being connected to them.
I don't believe that I am paranoid, but I like to buy something and use it
without to inform the supplier that I do it. Otherwise I could have bought
the license fpr LR5 via internet.

I wouldn't suggest it though, since it may void your warrantee. Apple will replace it if you bring it in. The genius bar guys aren't too bright, well most of them. But they'll go through the usual diagnosis steps then issue you a replacement if they have them in stock.
I have to admit, Apple has one of the best replacement services that I've ever experience. If you're familiar with costco, the return/exchange process is very quick and painless.

Thanks for replying to my problem. After posting I noted the "More Like This" box on the right of the screen. The top topic was "Restore old dual screen functionality" and turned out to be the the same question with a surprising answer - in the "Mission Control" dialogue, NOT the "Displays" dialogue. There are five tick boxes at the top of the Mission Control screen and the last of them is "Displays have separate spaces" and this box was ticked through the loading of the Mavericks op. system (presumably). Unticking this box, as advised, restored the 'extended' mode and all is now well.
We live and learn!

After my most recent update I have lost copy paste functions and can't drag items - please help

I am unsure how to tell which update it is,but I cant use copy and paste functions and my openoffice has corrupted - reinstalling it did not help. I can also not drag/drop

I think this is a Java problem. I went to Firefox and Mozilla home page and checked to see that my plug ins were up to date. Firefox said it had turned off my Java because it was not up to date. When I went to the Java page to update it, it only said Mac has its own Java updates and suggested I update through Apple. Unfortunately, when I checked to see if Apple has any updates for my Java, there weren't any.
After seeing that, I went to the link it had for "upgrade to the latest version" and this is what Java says:
I guess I will look for Java help on the support pages here and see if anyone has any info.
