Update Calendar from iWork's Numbers

I have a number of spreadsheets in numbers that calculate dates that need to be entered into a shared calendar.
Is there a way to do this automatically without having to enter each on in manually. Once calculated each date is fixed so will never change. I am running;

It's difficult to answer this without some specifics. For example: Where is the shared calendar? Is it in Numbers? Or in the Calendar app? Or somewhere else?

Project Pro from iWorks for numbers

Hi
I am using Project pro from iworks where one can purchase templates.
It really is great, except for one small (yet important) thing I can not figure out how to change!
It plots work done and still to be one per object on the y axix in a slit bar graph, but then on the x axix plots days to completion.
This is not helpful, as at a glance you cant see what is ment to be done by which date. I have tried to adjust the table but only get massive values when I try to put the start dates in.
Does anyone know of how to get around this?

It is doubtful anyone has this template since it is a pay-for template. Honestly I think you should use a real Gant chart tool. There are several options:

Update calendar from year to year

Does anyone know of a way to update a calendar created for 2007 for example to 2008? I have created a 2007 calendar last year and now I want to update the photos in it and use the same dates in there (ie birthdays) for 2008.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Unfortunately changing the year in the Settings pane keeps only the photos in the picture portion of each month and removed all data from the calendar section. If you make a birthday calendar in iCal with the birthdays entered into the appropriate dates you can enter them each year with just once click.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Updating Calendar from Outlook

When I update my iPod I get a message saying "iTunes cannot copy calendars to the iPod "Phil's iPod". Any ideas?
Also, only a few contacts are updated from Outlook...

IWork 08 numbers Yearly Planner

OK, challenge to all Numbers Gurus; how do I export a yearly calendar from iCal into Numbers in order to make a Yearly Planner (come to think of it, how come iCal doesn't do a yearly planner?...Hmmm).
Can this be done, if not, why not? We use Yearly planners all the time (well, yearly at least) and have traditionally used MS Excel (forgive me). But now of course, we want to use numbers, and will, even if we have to continue with the manual thing. But I thought for sure that someone would have invented this wheel already and well, just want to save some time is all - for EVERYONE!

Please give us what your excel yearly planner does and we will see if we can assist. The general term "Yearly Planner" can mena many different things for different industries/levels.

You can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs.
Use your iCloud ID for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream.
Use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

I'm having this issue as well only with a little different twist I guess. I'm transferring the iWorks applications from my Macbook Pro 3,1 with Lion to a new MBP 10,1 running Mountain Lion. I transferred the apps over using DropCopy since the older MBP doesn't have AirPlay. Applications show up but crash upon opening. This is the first install so there are no previous plist, versions or such to delete. All three crashed upon opening every time until I just had to have Keynote and purchased again - although Apple agreed to refund that purchase since my previous version quit working. Any ideas since I don't have any previous plist/versions to delete? Thanks in adavnce for any help you can offer.

I had to pay $19.99 for an upgrade to the new Numbers from iWork '09

I had a retail version of iWork 09 installed on my mac. Yesterday, after upgrading to OS X Mavericks, I updated to the new version of Numbers and I was charged $19.99. Any chance Apple will reimburse my account now that Numbers is free?

***For those that purchased iWork 09 not on the app store but as a retail disk copy you can get the update for iWork even though it may show $19.99 for all the apps:
You can reupdate to iWork 9.3 by going here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1563
then after it is updated close the app store if opened then open it again and sign out then sign in and then all the iwork 2013 apps should show as update rather than $19.99 cost each. This worked for me. I bought iwork '09 on disk but it showed 19.99 each after I upgraded to Mavericks so followed the above steps and it worked. I am now updating all my iWork suite I bought on disk, NOT on the Mac app store and now I have a Mac app store set!
Apple sure has a problem that needs to be fixed otherwise iWork will eventually be free for everyone...

The iWork 9.2 updater is for those using Mountain Lion. Why do you want to update to Pages 4.2 if you're still running Lion? There is no benefit & many users have had problems.
That being said, you must make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. All three applications must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
Now, choose Software Update from the Apple menu, from System Preferences or launch the Mac App Store & click Updates. You should get a window similar to this screenshot. Now click the Update button next to iWork 9.2.

When I registrate an appointment in hour access 2010 database, I want to create an apointment in the outlook calendar. Is that possible? I tried to link to the outlook calendar from Access 2010, but the appointment date does not show, and therefore
I can't use this method!
My next question: Is it also possible to registrate an appointment in the outlook calendar and update the calendar in my access 2010 database.

How does one update from iwork '09?

I followed blog advice to download iwork trial and try to upload from there, but no dice. how does one update from iwork /'09???

With all due respect ... I do not see how one can change the Subtemplate value from Yes to No. When I query the offending Template, the Subtemplate column is not displayed in bold, indicating to me that it can not be updated. Clicking on Edit Configuration, doe not provide an ability to change the value either.
As best I can determine, one needs to 1) query up the template
2) download the rtf file(s)
3) end date the template
4) create a new template and then set the Subtemplate value to No.
And the same steps appear to be required in order to add or update a template Description.
Which raises the question, Why can this not be done by editing the configuration?

how can I move a calendar from my mac to the i Cloud. It is an existing calendar that I publish for others to view. It does not update through the cloud since it is not curently on the cloud. I cannot figure out how to move it on to the cloud.

Your signature says you have Leopard 10.5.8 - is this correct? (If it isn't please amend it). Leopard cannot access iCloud: Lion 10.7.2 is required. Have you actually opened an iCloud account (or migrated from MobileMe)?
if you do have Lion and have joined iCloud then your calendars should have been migrated to iCloud automatically. If this hasn't happened then the method for moving them is described in the first set of numbered instructions on this page - I emphasize that this is only possible on Lion.

Printing from iWorks Pages on a HP 2600n printer with OS 10.4

Whenever I go to print from iWorks Pages on a HP 2600n printer with OS 10.4 it does not let me print in black and white. On print, I select color with a slash through it and it says not available for this OS. Does someone know how to get around this or a software update around this.

For your HP printer, make sure you have the newest driver for your printer model & OS. Personally, I'd never have an HP printer - they don't "play nice" with either Pages or AppleWorks.
